Waffle House

This 529 location is the closest from our home, and we stopped in for a quick brunch. Staff was changing from the morning shift to midday, and it was noticeable, especially seeing as the breakfast crowd had died down. The staff were ok, but there was only one older man cooking, and everything was taking a long time to come out. Our waitress was alright when she wasn't on her cell phone or seated on a barstool near the register. Waffle was overcooked, eggs were super salty, bacon was burnt, and the cup my coffee was in was dirty, but, HERE WE ARE! You don't go to a Waffle House for luxury, but this one may have been better with the early morning crowd as it may have had more staff, more urgency, and maybe a bit more care with the food.

We prefer to come when Brian and Jennifer are on shift. Our food is always excellent, and they are a dynamic duo. We come in regularly after baseball, with a big top that takes up multiple tables. If they aren't working - we have walked out many times because things dont go as smoothly without them. There are other servers up there we like too, but Brian and Jennifer are AMAZING. Brian is top tier in the kitchen, and Jennifer always makes sure things are running smoothly. She has the most charming personality, and we love that she is so personable. They remember our orders, know exactly how we like things. The bosses here did something right bringing these two on. They handle crowds well, and make hungry baseball teams happy every time!

When my kids leave their plates empty, that's evidence of great food!!! That chocolate chip pancake was eventually finished. I stopped my kid just so I could get a pic. The food was great. Our server, Leia, was awesome! Get here!

Food was fine, but I'm commending the middle-aged black lady who served us today. She did a phenomenal job and made sure we were sat,despite us not being her table. Excellent customer service

Always a solid choice. Another fantastic experience at Waffle House! The food was exactly what I expected: fast, fresh, and piping hot. I know I can always count on them for a satisfying meal. Service was top-notch – my Diet Coke was constantly refilled without even needing to ask. The atmosphere is always lively and welcoming, and you can feel the good vibes from the happy customers. This particular location never disappoints. Highly recommend!

I was craving Waffle House and this one is the closest to my house, we walked in and the place was empty only one other table. The greeting was friendly but upon sitting down, it all changed. Our table was dirty, not a problem we wiped it. A couple minutes later the server approached us and brought menus and took our drink ordered. We waited about 10 minutes before deciding to walk out. We looked around trying to get someone’s attention since we were ready to order and still didn’t have drinks but the staff looked at us and just kept going on with the conversation. We decided to walk out and drove 15 minutes to the 290 location and were so happy with our experience- Night and day difference! You don’t go to Waffle House expecting a 5 star meal but if the place is empty you can at least expect good service and he didn’t provide that.

It’s the 10% to go tax! 👀 should be a crime!! How is a to-go 10% and tax ain’t even 10%! Stop it! Employees should strike cause Waffle 🧇 hood I mean house 🏡 taking y’all tip money!! Absolutely won’t eat here unless I go in and that’s a stretch cause it is always DIRTY. Utterly disgusting 🤢. I always pass this place right up! Floors dirty, silverware dirty, cups dirty, stove and cooking top dirty! But y’all wanna charge $20 for an under cooked waffle 🧇on a dirty waffle maker. Invest in a waffle maker and make your own!! I could only image what the fridge where the food is kept looks like!! Screams FOOD POISONING! 👀 This place needs a DEEP DEEP DEEP COMMERCIAL CLEANING!! I’m utterly surprised no one has called health inspectors 👀 and if they have someone in the office Is definitely on payroll cause no way no way!! And put a dang MENU BOARD UP!! PRICES ARE ALWAYS CHANGING!! 👀. Always check your receipts 🧾 make sure your not being over charged or tipped on your credit card and u don’t even know it!! BUYER BEWARE!!!!

Second Friday I've been there...Daisy is amazing, helpful and always has a smile on her face! I've ordered the steak & eggs...and let me tell you the steak was deliciously awesome! Cooked just right, juicy and well seasoned! The ambiance is always quiet and nice! Love going to this location! Thank you!

I never wrote reviews but this was an Absolute nightmare, freezing cold inside and food took forever, came cold, never got my waffle and they said twice they were cooking it. And my daughter loves their grilled cheese and it was awful how do you mess that up? TOO many to go orders being prepared, focus on your customers that are waiting they're lucky I always tip on principal, that was crazy

Waffle is mighty tin compared to other waffle houses I been to. The bacon was burnt, plus flies are everywhere. I don't recommend this service at all. VERY UNSATISFIED!

Far from professional and lacking much talent, practically run by teenagers with an occasional adult bossing them around. The restaurant is a mess all the time. Kitchen has food thrown everywhere and no one has a desire to clean a thing. Employees are comical and friendly but at the end of the day nothing professional about this location of Waffle House. Saturday afternoon around 3:15pm, the place was dead empty.

Barely acknowledged me. Gave a $10 tip to my order. Paid in cash and the lady didn't state that I may have paid her too much or even say thank you. Didn't even smile. For all I know, she thinks I accidentally paid her to much and decided to pocket the overage. Still waiting on my order and she hasn't once made eye contact with me. But she is singing and shaking her booty to her R&B playlist that is way too loud through her Bluetooth speaker. BTW, it's currently 12:40AM on Friday 01/06/2023. I don't expect anything at all to change or be said since this place is over their heads in poor reviews.

Got my favorite, the All-Star special. Bacon was crisp eggs were cooked to order & Andrea's service was excellent. Mgr even put oldies on the juke box for me. Great experience!

This place was depressing... walked in looking to tear up a sausage egg and cheese sandwich and a blueberry waffle but walked out before they could even say hello. These people must not wanna make money because they have some bullshit ass service. Man at the grill was on his phone on tiktok and would not look up and then the server had to ask him repeatedly if he was ready to put down some damn bacon like man get tf. They couldn't even say "welcome" or a "I'll be right with you" just straight up ignored us. And then the red haired girl on the other side wasn't even doing anything like tf? y'all getting paid to stand around and look stupid? I used to like this place but not with this dookie ass service.

What a well oiled machine! Came in on a Sunday morning and the crew was so inviting, the music was great, the food was wonderful. Service from Jordan was phenomenal. Will return if the same staff is working!

We arrived here Tuesday around 430pm. Perfect time to come because the place was empty. We were greeted right away and decided to sit at the tables over looking the grill. We ordered the two egg combo that comes with eggs, bacon/sausage, hashbrowns and toast. I only wanted eggs and meat so I ordered sausage and gave my hasbrowns & toast to my BF. Our order was made right away and came out delicious!

Horrible customer service. 2 open booths requested , said wait for it. Food is food. But trash is trash.

I've eaten @ Waffle House before with usual friendly staff and I faithfully order the All Star Special which includes a waffle, eggs, grits or hash browns, toast, Cheese eggs Yum, and one choice of meat for under $8- 5 stars Well, I dined with my daughter as always. I walked in and immediately stopped in the restroom. When I returned, I noticed my daughter standing up by the table as the waitress cleaned the table. Now, sidebar, my daughter is consistently glued to her phone. If she noticed the table was DIRTY, that's saying something!!!! Two staff and only 3 couples in entire restaurant. The cook was sitting down at a counter across from us drinking a soda. Then I noticed dirt on the pull down shades and glanced over at the other two dirty booths and counter. It wasn't busy at all so the tables should have been clean. If you notice the table with the teal arm in the pic, the napkins are stuck on some STICKY SYRUP not ours. Ergo 3 stars First time I've seen any like this. If you're looking for a budget friendly place 24/7 there are multiple locations near you. Check it out their website.

Food and service was great. Nyla was very polite and attentive and showed great customer service.

Anika said 4 people were too much for her to handle. She turned business away because it was too much for her. Never coming here again as this locations does not have time to serve 4 people.

I have been to this location twice and both times I had bad experiences. Management needs to make some big changes to this location. Both times we walked in to this location none of the employees greeted us. All employees were sitting down on their phones and the place was disgusting. Tables were dirty and high top was dirty. They sat us at the high table and both times we went it was dirty. The kitchen was dirty. Food all over the place. How can employees not take the time to clean up when there are no customers in the restaurant? I have been to many Waffle Houses in other states and never seen them in this condition. I won't be back here!

I've been going to waffle since I was a kid, it's been a family breakfast location and a favorite place of mine. My wife and I were seated and had two people take our orders. We were the second group in the place and it took them 40 minutes to bring a single plate, and everything I ordered was brought wrong. Not only that but 15 minutes into the wait, we asked for more coffee and never received it. They had more people than I normally see working at Waffle House but yet a swept up bunch of trash was left in the middle of the floor and no one bothered to pick it up. I know with the many years that I've been to Waffle House, the place and people aren't always the best, I think it's safe to say people go for the excellent food than for the scenery but this was beyond unacceptable for even Waffle House standards. Next time would rather take the drive to another location.

Literally makes no sense how dirty it is in here. I know Waffle House is not necessarily the cleanest place but every single table is dirty and there's no customers here.

For starters: I am a fan of Waffle House and have visited many locations. Yes, decades of eating in WF's! For this location: I've been to this place a few times and the service just isn't good. My waitress literally forgot an order after explaining it twice and when it finally was served, the food was cold. You can't goto to a WF and get a cold waffle! This was in the middle of an afternoon so it wasn't busy or crowded. The waitress was literally in another place mentally or she just didn't care. I ordered an All-Star and never got my bacon. The waffle was finally served again and it was good, so this isn't a complaint about the cooks. Please avoid this location.

Paola was an amazing put together server, who was was so sweet and nice and quick with it all! The sprite was very crisp and fresh Would definitely come back.

Service was absolutely terrible the server got our order wrong forgot a lot as well as the cook literally burned everything we got everything was so over cooked and was a terrible night to come

You get what you pay for and know exactly what your getting at Waffle House located anywhere in the lower part of the states . Each time it feels like I'm stuck in a movie from 1970 ...my Bc loved this joint so I spend quality time here ( not my fav place )

'The food is good,I had the new hashbrown bowl and he had the big breakfast, service was good but behind the counter where they cook it could of been cleaner which they were doing but they did not sweep up bk there,not a good look! And they had plenty of help...

When approaching the waitress to make a take out order i was told to "wait a minute" as she proceeded to pull out her phone and text for a good couple of minutes. Making me stand there wasting my time. And previously when we were dining in she literally smacked her hand on the table when we were changing one order to another. (Hasbrowns to grits) and she wouldnt say a word to us just stared blankly. Definitely wouldnt reccomend going here if you value customer service.

My daughter and I went for a vERY late night snack. We sat there 15 minutes and my daughter had to ask for service. The waitress was to busy,with one customer when my daughter said don't worry I all ready know the routine grabbed coffee and a soda, and brought it to our table I got to order food at 39 minutes in I told the waitress I wanted the hash browns smothered, covered and capped. I got uncooked cap no smothered and no cover. I was so disappointed with this place I doubt I will return it was dirty, dishes still on the tables and employees sitting in the back booth. Teribble

#WaffleHouse I will never eat here again ! No hygiene, refrigerator is super nasty the bacon is on the refrigerator rack ! Gross! Gross ! Gross!! Eggshells in the eggs! Asked for gravy and I got frozen gravy ......etc... @wafflehouse clean house this location is a disgrace!

I never knew that this restaurant served no french fries only hashbrowns even though they're open 24 hours they only serve potatoes that are for breakfast so if you want to hamburger get hashbrowns with your burger LOL

Food is okay. Never answers the phone service is always shitty. Not impressed. Been to other waffle houses that have had better service. Incredibly disappointed

DO NOT ANSWER THE PHONE!!!!! I have given this location a chance more than once because it's close to my house. I am very disappointed in my early morning drop in, I went in this morning at 4am I originally called and I got a answer and was placed on hold for ever while listening to orders being taken and other noise. The closer I got I got more aggravated, I called when at the counter to hear no phone ringing at all. I called the whole 10 minutes of my drive to get straight voicemail. When I finally order the "Manager" is so nonchalant and says they're backed up when it was one table in the whole restaurant and I was the only Togo order. This location is a JOKE! My order then has the nerve to be wrong and I have to wait longer. I have yet to receive good customer service here.

Food was decent, service was miserable. As soon as we walk in, the two waitresses, one older, one young, are clearly having an argument. We seat ourselves, the older waitress comes over, put down utensils then just looked at us. We had to ask for full menus. Then we had to re-ask for a FULL menu because she only gave us the short menu. We gave our order, she had to repeat the order a few times and stared at her notepad before writing like it was confusing to her (only 2 of us, not a complicated order). My friend ordered a sandwich, she told him it came with hash browns which he didn't really want (menu clearly has a sandwich and a meal option, but when he asked if he HAD to get a side, she said yes). She had to ask me what I was drinking after she asked if I wanted a refill - when it's a coffee mug with creamer sitting right next to it. We didn't get the order of eggs we ordered until we had to remind her about it. "We ordered eggs" "So what?" (Yes, that was word-by-word the response she gave us) "We didn't receive them..." We got a waffle we didn't order and she just looked at us like it wasn't her concern when we told her "We didn't order that." Fast forward to check-out, although we were the only customers in the restaurant the entire time, she didn't seem to remember our order or who had what. I feel like we had to spell it out for her. She argued the sandwich as she was charging for the meal when he was very clear that he just wanted the sandwich and she insisted it came with a side - he told her he didn't want the hash browns. We asked for a manager after she started arguing that he was "just trying to not pay for his food" and "Did you get the side? Did you eat the side? Then you pay for it." and not acknowledging that she made it seem like that came with the order he put in instead of was her error in the first place. Apparently, there was no manager or supervisor on shift - so we had to get the other younger waitress to step in and ring us up, which she did without issue and completely understood what our complaint was. It wasn't that we weren't paying for our meals (we were at the register, money in hand, we just wanted to pay for what we actually ordered!) and we wanted to do so without being accused and argued with. The lady had to be on something, she didn't seem very coherent and slurred her words, had trouble finding her words....we were very thankful the other waitress steps in.

We have been to this location a few times before, and the restaurant is usually clean, with good food and quick service. This morning's visit was horrible. The waitress knew nothing about her menu and requested that I pay extra for lettuce and tomato on my Cheeseburger. She asked my son how he would like his pork chop cooked, and I had to explain that you cannot serve pork "rare". It took 15 minutes for her to bring coffee, and it was self service for refills. When the food arrived, half of the order was cold. The manager had the food cooked again but refused to apologize for the issues. The ants crawling across our table was a nice touch! We won't eat at this location again!

Why do people rave about Waffle House?! I don't understand, it's cheap the food is cheap quality.

This place should be ashamed to call themselves "" A WAFFLE HOUSE"". You would expect a beautiful toasted thick FLUFFY Belgium style waffle. """""YOU WILL BE SO DISSAPOINTED"""""". It's a flat thin and still doughy, not crunchy Waffle!!. I tore one rubbery piece off this waffle and put a heavy doughy small piece in my mouth. Being polite and at the counter... I swallowed. I informed Violla with only a small tear off piece... It was worst doughy heavy soft Waffle ever that I had tasted. Violla, only stated was "sorry about that". No offer to take that lead waffle off my bill or to go get someone in house by her and taste my complaint. And if your bill is on the counter with a credit card ...Violla will just look at it until you speak up louder as she passes " Can I pay bill"". Then she will tell you to go to the cash register.. :). So my counter wait time was wasted. My pork chops, eggs, toast and hash browns we're great"". Oh"" and Violla was my server, and WAFFLE maker. But it's a dough issue with cook time setting issue. They maybe had 7 people in house when I placed my order about 7:30 am today. I got my eggs & hash browns 1st,. 5 minutes later came my pork chops and 5 minutes later after I asked Violla is my waffle coming and noted her pouring dough it came last... I DID NOT EAT...Rubbery heavy doughy thin lead waffle... Coporate should not brag about there waffles, though they should set a standard. The Fairfield Inns international waffle maker does a Belgium fluffy waffle. I'M a breakfast great food finder with all my yearly business travels.. WAFFLE HOUSE WAFFLES...""DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY"'' ask for sample test run first if you insist. I can only hope after reading this that they taste there waffles being put out and ask themselves.... Is this the best waffle I have ever eaten..? From a breakfast name like WAFFLE HOUSE!! ... Two stars due to terrible waffle....and three delayed deliveries to get my breakfast...

Walked in, greeted, told to sit anywhere. Sat down, table was barely cleaned. Watched one waitress arrange stuff, one argue with a lady over her bill and the cook make his food and disappear. Still waiting. Looked over menu and decided what we were going to get. Lady paid her bill, guy picked up his takeout order. Family of five walked in and had there order taken by waitress at the register, other waitress still cleaned. Walked out over waiting for no waitress to come even though both knew we were there! Shouted out, "Thanks for nothing." Was shouted back, "You're welcome!" Never again! I will drive to HWY 6 for better service even though I have to wait for a table.

This is my first time going to a Waffle House, and I was amazed by Jalaya's service. She made sure we had everything we needed. The food was delicious, and the waiting time wasn't long at all. One thing that bothered me was the other servers who kept on yelling non work related topics and gossiping. The whole time it seemed like Jalaya was the only server who was actually doing her job. Other than that the chefs did an amazing job with the food it was delicious. Would really recommend this place.

Waffle House is really hard for me to define, because their food is so good, but the dining experience is something that, as a millenial, is hard to be comfortable with. I have always enjoyed their food, and the way they run their operation like a true classic diner. Shouting orders, banging plates and washing dishes two feet from your table, but providing you with a hot and delicious meal for a good price in quick time. It is a weird blend of classic Americana that you just don't get in newer establishments. It's like a privelege to sit through all the noise and mayhem of a busy diner full of all sorts of humanity, just to get a legendary diner waffle and a plate of eggs and sausage. Sure you may be bumping elbows with the stranger next to you, but your social discomfort is only the result of our modern upbringing. Back in the day, that's just how it was. If you had taken a time trip back to 1955, this is the sort of thing you would be expected to cope with. So yes, I will gladly stand in a line to be seated at this busy diner, and bumpe elbows with a trucker so I can enjoy my waffle, eggs, bacon, grits, toast, coffee, and juice. The only thing missing is the jukebox full of waffle-related songs.

It's Waffle House so you can't expect much. But this was a great place for my early morning. Friendly employees and the server/manager was very attentive. Coffee was hot and better than i expected. Very good place and environment. Will definitely be back.

Clean, fast, and good service! Everything is still new. Food was food, hot, and served promptly. I like their grits and the way their eggs are prepared. I'll be back for breakfast!

I have been calling for the past hour, first they put me hold for 15 minutes next try to call them but their phone line is busy and they are not answering! Bad service!!!!! If you don't want to answer don't get a phone!!!!!

Rude staff, they never wear gloves and I never see them clean their hands before preparing meals. The overnight staff is unknowledgeable about coupons given from corporate. One particular visit I came in to order to go, I have social anxiety disorder which means I can't eat in front of people, it makes me very uncomfortable. The coupons they give you is for dine in only, I wanted to take mine to go, the waitress Amanda was unprofessional in telling the the cook (PB) my dilemma, he came over with an attitude stating, you need to dine in to use this coupon. I states ok, i was just gonna eat a little but my anxiety kicked in and I became uncomfortable at the thought of eating in front of people. I told the waitress that I didn't want the food and she yelled it to the cook. He began to get irate saying you need to leave my restaurant, I will not cook for you. He threw the food away and said get out of my restaurant. Idk where they find people to be in charge of a shift, they were totally unprofessional and I definitely will not be returning. Management needs to understand just because you promote someone doesn't mean they are capable of being a manager and handling customer complaints in a professional manner. PB needs more training interacting with customers...I wonder how many other customers have dealt with his nasty attitude.
