Waffle House

Probably the best Waffle House I've experienced. This staff knows EVERY customer after 2 visits! You feel like you're in a small town where everybody knows you. Breakfast are a joy and so is the entire staff. Extremely comfortable atmosphere. Don't ever change! 😁

Bernard runs this Waffle House like a well oiled machine. He and his crew are super nice and work so we'll together. It's nice to hear a manager praising his employees. They were slammed when we got there but our food was great.

This is me and my families favorite Waffle House in town !!! We live right around the corner, so me and my fiancee will either order to go, or sit inside and enjoy all the friendly chatter. Strangers saying "hello" to strangers. Great atmosphere ! And the servers ! Absolutely amazing and attentive. Your drink will never go empty. The cooks are fun and get in on the chit chat. Its like you're one big happy family thats never met lol. My parents go here and have their favorite waitress. Were there all the time. Great food of course !!!! Like really good food and great coffee ! Check it out if you haven't yet or happen to be in the road. I promise you're going to have an amazing experience with whoever takes care of you.

What a great staff and my food was perfection. I asked for the middle of my hash browns to be done not burnt and boy that young man cooking did not fail me !! Thank you 3 for an awesome evening and great food!! See ya soon

Upon entering my friend & myself nothing a dry erase board with an advertisement for double hash browns meal. After seating ourselves waiting for a server several minutes. We asked about the special, the waitress walks away and comes back & She says that's old. Ok so why is it still being advertised. The manager just staring at us, no explanation just that's old. As I have been in customer service and the food service industry over 20yrs that is just bad business poor customer service and just a sad do better waffle house.

Joyce and Travis were awesome. This is the best one I’ve been to, the food is good at all of them, but their personalities and how well they worked at the team took it to the next level. Joyce made sure I had everything I needed, Travis made my food correctly and fast. Blessings to them

After all the family shenanigans for Christmas, we needed to eat and knew that trusty Waffle House was open. We stopped by the Lem Turner location for the first time. We got there about 530. Food was great per usual. The only downside was having to wait until I was ready to leave for the waffle from my meal. I'm not sure if they forgot but once it was mentioned and table was cleared, it was brought out and It was delish! Overall a great Christmas dinner breakfast 😋

Early morning breakfast, before heading back to Illinois, from Florida. Being handicapped, I was thankful, one of the workers opened the door for me,as I entered/left. The staff was very friendly, helpful, and well organized. The food was great.We will stop , if we're ever in the area, again!

Nothing beats a Waffle House breakfast! I had been craving a waffle so we planned a Friday breakfast date. I ordered the all-star special with scrambled eggs, bacon, hashbrowns, wheat toast and a waffle with chocolate chips and peanut butter chips. Hubby ordered a cheesesteak melt hashbrown bowl with jalapeños. Everything came out hot and fresh. The bacon was perfectly cooked. Hashbrowns were seasoned well and crispy. We shared the waffle and it was the real standout. I loved the addition of chocolate chips and peanut butter chips. So much so that I barely used any maple syrup. I highly recommend trying this combo! Hubby's cheesesteak melt hashbrown bowl was delicious! Tender steak, melty American cheese, crispy hashbrowns, grilled onions, spicy jalapeños - so yummy! Overall, solid breakfast! Service was excellent as well.

My go to spot once a month for breakfast. When they're not really busy I try getting with our favorite server London whom customer service has won me over. Food always cooked how we desire it. Sweet tea is delicious. Pecan waffle with pumpkin spice has become my favorite. Always really busy Saturday mornings.

Decided to come back here for a breakfast for 1. The place was packed with people eating in and getting takeout. I was pointed to a seat at the front counter as soon as I caught the attention of one of the staff. The smells coming from the kitchen and the hustle and bustle of all the orders always remind me of my family road trips to Georgia. I ordered a chicken and egg hash brown bowl and a waffle with blueberry nougat and a chocolate milk. As always this location serves up this food hot and fresh. I had a lovely Sunday morning here and I'll definitely keep coming back.

Ms.Joyce is the heart of this location. Her smile brings a pleasant greeting to all the enter. She creates a bond with the custo.ers that makes them want to return. The establishment is clean and well cared for. The team here enjoy their work, and it shows. At any time, you can walk in, and the jukebox is cranked, and they are singing along . Waffle House usually gets a bad rap. You would be incredibly wrong to say anything negative about this location. They are well staffed, and the food comes out fresh. I had the chicken and waffles this time around. Heads up, the chicken isn't fried. It is a pressed and well-seasoned breast. Tabasco is the hot sauce of choice here. Fresh sweet tea for days. It's worth every penny for the experience!

The waiter was patient and chill, it took a while to get our food but it was fine for us plus it was pretty packed so no shame to the staff. The food looked good. And tasted good! I'm not gonna lie and say the place was super clean but it was good enough ‍

Happiest crew I've ever seen in My life, could have been newlyweds. As you can imagine the food came out perfectly!

This is the BEST Waffle House ever...and we've been to a few! We stumbled in on our way back from Florida to Texas and were so glad we did! The people couldn't have been nicer, the waitress attentive and super friendly and the pecan waffle was stellar! The rest of the breakfast was great, too...especially the raisin bread! The jukebox was playing some great tunes and once in a while the staff would break into song...along with some of the patrons! It made our day!!

We haven't had Waffle House in a long time. It's one of those things you remember going to when you were young. When we arrived, they were packed, but they easily made a spot for us. The atmosphere wasn't loud like you might have expected for a crowded place, either! Our waitress Vanessa was very helpful and checked in on us often. The food was decent - good for the price you pay and where you're stopping at to eat. That being said, you could have better elsewhere, but you'll be paying elsewhere prices. These were simple breakfast meals, and their selections on their main menu were simple, with just a few options verses the countless options you might get elsewhere. All in all, a perfect place to get a bite to eat without rushing through a fast food restaurant.

Visiting from California with my friend that just moved here. I will say I had the best breakfast experience. Joyce was our server, let me tell you just like the core of her name. She was a straight JOY. very pleasant, and attentive. Thanks for the warm welcome, and positive visit.

Food was great and the waitress was attentive. This was the waffle house at the airport.

Food was cold and you need hearing protection! The music was soooo loud we couldn't carry on a conversation or even hear the waitress telling us what they were out of. We love a good Waffle House but this was disappointing.

All the people that work at this Waffle House are GGrrreeeeaaatt!!!! Fast, Friendly, and Courtesy ;) The food is good too! It's one of the best Waffle House's in the country:) Luv it!

This place gets zero stars!!! No customer service, rude and all need to be fired. No one here can say a word like HELLO, HOW CAN I HELP YOU, HERES A MENU. Employees loud, yelling and screaming across the restaurant. They didn't give us all of our food. Restaurant is filthy and tables uncleaned. NEVER WILL I EAT AT THIS LOCATION AGAIN!!!!

Waffle House is Waffle House. Good 'ole breakfast food for cheap. This particular Waffle House is really clean and my food has always been cooked quickly and properly. They've never once messed up my over-medium eggs. The problem with this Waffle House and the reason for only 3 stars is the hit or miss service. Most of the time, it's a miss. We really don't require that much service: Take order, bring order, refill drinks. Sounds easy enough. It also seems even easier to me because every time we have been here, they haven't been busy. Getting a drink refill is like pulling teeth! There's one particular waitress here who is rude and dumb as a stick. As simple as the Waffle House menu is, she doesn't know it. I actually had to explain the menu to her and I even had to explain a comma to her. Yes... a friggin' comma! The menu reads, "Egg, Omelet and Steak & Egg Breakfasts are served with Toast, Jelly and Grits." She was going to charge me extra for the grits. What?! She then went on to explain to me that only the "Omelet Breakfasts" come with grits. What?! I explained the menu and as I pointed to the comma and began explaining, she literally snatched the menu from my hands and snapped, "I'll give you the grits!" What?! How is she "giving" me anything? The grits come with the meal and I'm paying for them. Wow! The ignorance of some people never ceases to amaze me. You'll get good food here, but cross your fingers and hope you get good service. If you want a drink refill, you'll probably have to get up from your table and go to the counter and ask for one.

It's Waffle House.. we like their grits and scrambled egg with cheese. The ONLY one we like to go to is the one on Lem Turner.

Got a little nervous when I saw how clean this Waffle House was lol but I must say this was one of the friendliest I'd ever been to. Great customer service, manager specials (which I had never seen before) and the food was fresh.

NO CUSTOMER SERVICE 12/5/2019 Lem Turner Jacksonville FL location. My husband and I went for breakfast, walked in the door smiled at a couple of the help that saw us and said, "Good Morning". There was no response of either. The rest of the other 5 employees looked up without verbal acknowledgment. We sat at the end table of the (7) seven patrons eating. After quickly deciding what we would like, two others of the employees stared right at us and said nothing. After (12) twelve minutes we got up to leave with employees looking on, still Nothing! We will never patronize this location again. Very rude and NON-EXISTING CUSTOMER SERVICE.

5am on a Saturday these f****** closed. I don't understand, never have I ever. Not waffle house

I was visiting family in town and it had been a rather demanding week. Heading for the airport, I decided to stop here for breakfast. Being from the West Coast, this was my first time at a Waffle House and it did not disappoint. The food was incredible, but the "southern hospitality" given by Joyce was even better. It was so nice to have a great, relaxing breakfast surrounded by friendly people who enjoy what they do. I will definitely recommend this location to others, and I'll definitely be back. Great job, Joyce!

I have been here many times in the past. Most of the time we get what is to be expected from a Waffle House. The price is right for a All-Star breakfast. This particular visit was odd from the time I walked in the door. Service was not what it used to be and there were many new faces. A great value but service needs to be more attenative.

Every Waffle House makes you feel good. The staff is wonderful. So friendly. The food is what you expect. I had a nice breakfast.

I mean it's Waffle House ... you come to eat, maybe talk to the person next to you and enjoy the moment . This location has the most soul, and I mean that in a good way . Staff is always friendly and welcoming , they remember faces and names and orders. I've never had issues with my meal, it's always cooked quickly and correctly . I'm a sucker for good sweet tea . Sometimes you can catch them singing and just enjoying life . If you're having a bad day, stop in and just take your time eating ,you will feel better soon

Well it's a typical Waffle House just brand spanking new. It appears to have the the basic pros and cons of the franchise. They equip the tables with reduced menus...for what reason I don't know but know there are many more options than what's on that menu. Ask for the standard or bigger menu for more options. The staffing was more than I've seen elsewhere: 8 employees at midnight. My service was about a 2 or 2.5 but I observed my waitress give another customer -5 rated service. She was argumentative, rude, and condescending over a piece of cheese....yep, you read right! It was good to see that the customer was not having any of that and pointed out she was supposed to serve him. Anyway that did put a damper on the experience because incidences like that point to larger issues and prevalent such service. I've long wondered do Waffle Houses have shift managers or supervisors....certainly appears not. Well another store provides another option for the Norf-sigh-eed. LOL! It is in the up & coming section near Walmart & Home Depot on Lem Turner Rd near I-295.

We just ate here. This is by far the friendliest Waffle House I've ever been to. The food was good, but the team really made the experience. Thank you to Val, Quincy and Kay Kay for being so kind and taking care of us! Highly recommend stopping here over the other restaurants at this exit.

Wonda, how do you still have a job? Food was good. Service was horrible. I can't even remember a time that I didn't leave a tip. Actually, I will give a tip. Train Wonda. She has no clue as to what a waitress should do. Normally a Waffle House your service is excellent when you sit at the counter. She was slower to begin with but we just figured she was figuring something else out. After we placed our order, we sat there for five minutes as Wonda proceeded to the back to have herself a drink of only what I would assume as coffee. No big deal right!!! Only if she would have gotten ours first. We had to ask her for our coffee when she came back through. She proceeds to pour our coffee from two different pots; we asked why and she said the one was decaf. I asked if half our coffee was regular and the other half is decaf; and she replied "would you like a new cup". Duh. Needless to say our coffee arrived at the same time as our meal. We also observed her walk away from another customer waiting to pay and also didn't finish our ticket out properly as another waitress had to do her work for her. I know what waitresses make and I normally tip up to 100% on cheap meals. I hope that she was just having a bad day but I am guessing from other reviews that there may be a bigger issue at hand.

This is waffle house. Not a lot to say about it. The food is always what you expect. The price is right. Our table was clean. And there is always plenty of food. We had a very pleasant waitress. There is plenty of parking right in the parking lot. We were greeted as we walked in the door. Our menus and coffee and drinks arrived very quickly. Our food was cooked perfectly as we ordered it and brought to us very quickly.

This location does not allow you to call ahead to place an order. That definitely will keep me from returning. If I am on my way home from work & I am in the rare mood for Waffle House...I certainly DO NOT want to drive to Waffle House, place my order & wait for it...HELLO Waffle House on Lem Turner, I know you are new to the neighborhood but call ahead service is an option provided by several restaurants in the 32218 zip code.

After spending 5 days in Florida and seeing a Waffle House on every corner, we figured we should try it. The service here was really good. The food was fresh and good, but it did have that fast food taste, not a sit down restaurant quality to the ingredients. The waffle batter was light and eggy; we enjoyed that. Can't say I'll be back, but when you're in a pinch and have a moment to sit down instead of driving through, stopping here won't be something you'll regret.

First time to Waffle House and from the moment we walked in with their warm greeting we had a feeling this would be a good experience. Joyce's service and smile was excellent. The food was all very tasty and good size portions. When we are back in this area, we will be sure to come back.

Do not call this location to place an order, you are better off going in. They left me on hold so long that I had time to get up, get dressed and go there. When I got there, they wasn't even busy. Worst service ever and they had an attitude on top of that. If I had my way they will all be fired at least the people who worked on 13April17 at after 11:00pm.
