Waffle House, Escobar Restaurant Among Atlanta Restaurants Reopening Dining Rooms Monday, April 27, 2020 | Eater Atlanta

"I observed that local Waffle House locations reopened dining rooms on Monday, April 27 with limits on the number of people allowed inside per the governor’s guidelines; Waffle House said it will continue enhanced sanitation, stringent personal hygiene practices, spaced seating, and screening employees for COVID-19 symptoms." - Beth McKibben

Longtime Atlanta Restaurateur and Restaurant Owner Betty Hsu Has Died | Eater Atlanta

"I recall that post-restaurant-shift family dinners at Waffle House were a touchstone for the family—Betty Hsu’s usual order there was steak and eggs, which inspired Lazy Betty’s Wagyu steak and eggs." - Beth McKibben

Being in Phoenix on family business and feeling properly knackered, the only thing that made sense for a hot date was a run to Waffle House. Even though the energy was low, this is something shared and enjoyed together, so the mission was non-negotiable. Stepping into this brand-spanking-new Tempe spot, the modern look was sharp enough to wake anyone up. The servers here are the real deal—nice girls with zero pretension who clearly understand that they’re in the business of people first, and food second. Snagging a booth for breakfast-for-dinner was the move, especially with the TouchTunes keeping the vibe right. Stepping out to the "patio"—aka the parking lot—for coffee and cigarettes while waiting for the order was a proper session. Walking back in, the timing was bang on, as Nick was putting on a Southern Hibachi clinic at the griddle while rocking out to the music alongside us. The spread was absolutely the business: The Hashbrown Bowl: Piled high with bacon and melted cheese, it provided the heavy-duty fuel needed for a late-night dinner. Peanut Butter Chip Waffle: Watching the butter melt into the chips before drenching it in syrup was a religious experience. Biscuits & Gravy: Massive portions of sausage gravy over fresh biscuits kept the whole evening grounded. Capping off the night with those red 2025 holiday mugs made it clear this crew is firing on all cylinders. They are definitely in the business of people, not necessarily just food... Damn! I love Waffle House 😎

Always gonna go to a waffle house the food is not superior, but it just hits the spot at that Pacific moment. The service was slow, but you know it’s the Waffle House not there for atmosphere or is it ?but I enjoyed my food. It was a wonderful time the bacon was nice and crispy. The bread was cooked to perfection. The waffle was nice and warm with the melted butter and the syrup it’s just a joyful experience.

No matter where I am, Waffle House always hits the spot. There's something comforting about knowing I can walk in, get great service, and enjoy a hot, crispy waffle just the way I like it. It’s become a travel tradition for me. Friendly staff, quick service, and that classic diner vibe, can’t go wrong. Looking forward to my next stop!

This is my first time at Waffle House ever and man do I love it everything about the place is awesome. You see yourself the service is top-notch. They mess up your order because they know it’s your first time and they incorrectly charge you on your bill. These are all experiences. I expected the first time I went to Waffle House And it didn’t change the fact that the food was amazingly priced and really good. I can see why people don’t like him. The only thing I feel like I really missed out on was a good fight maybe next time

I love me some Waffle House! I do not have them where I live so any time I visit Phoenix, its one of my "gotta stop there" places. As always, food was delightful (I got breakfast) and the service was great. The ice machine wasn't working but my server did the best that he could do with what he was given and did a great job. That's the charm of Waffle House...everything may not be perfect but I always leave there with a smile! Happy I got to visit.

It's been years since we've gone to a waffle house, the food was ok. I'd be ok not going again for a while since there was nothing that really stood out to us. We had Sandra as a server, and she did really well taking care of our table. She checked on us often and refilled our drinks right away. The bathrooms needed some attention.

Mel was amazing. She served us 5 days straight while we where in town for a tournament. She had our orders Mesmerized by the 2nd day. The service was great and so was the food. Would recommend to anyone looking for good food and service for breakfast. Look for Mel or Keisha A+++

Amazing experience and incredible staff. They are so dedicated to giving us a good meal and it exceeded our expectations. Shout out to Khesha - she remembered our full order from the day before, even tho it was absolutely packed with customers. God bless America and God bless Waffle House
