Waffle House Shut Down 30 Restaurants as Hurricane Michael Hammered Florida | Eater

"An Atlanta-based diner chain famous for operating 24/7/365 and for normally staying open through severe weather; it preemptively closed 30 locations as Hurricane Michael approached the Gulf Coast, a notable response given the storm made landfall in the Florida panhandle as a Category 4 with 155 mph sustained winds and a 919 mb minimum pressure, making it one of the most intense U.S. hurricanes. The chain’s operational status is informally used by FEMA as a quick gauge of disaster severity, and it previously temporarily shuttered more than 40 locations ahead of Category 4 Hurricane Matthew in October 2016." - Chris Fuhrmeister

Google
Great waffle house! Wonderful customer service! I was shocked by how delicious the steak was, did not know this was possible! I asked for medium rare and yes it was pink in the middle, perfect! The waffles seemed fluffier than other waffle houses like a donut almost

Google
WH usually gets a bad rap but this one was great. I tried to do a review on Trip Advisor but this store isn’t on there. While staying at the Sonesta Hotel, we visited this place 2 times. We always get the same thing. Our servers were Nikki and Ashley. Both were friendly, upbeat, funny, and very attentive to their customers. We had no wait. Our order was fixed perfectly. Our drinks were filled in a timely manner. The only thing that concerned me was one of the cooks was cutting onions and must have nipped his finger. He went to the office and got it bandaged. The other cook, however, kept cutting the onions. He didn’t even toss the batch the other guy was doing. He just added his onions to that pile. I didn’t see any blood on the area but it’s still the idea of it.

I had the best experience at this WH Friday evening (6/20) the staff was very friendly, the place was clean and the food was delivered quickly and was delicious.

Google
I was very entertained and the servers were young and still learning. They did an exceptional job with our orders. Food was pretty good, but atleast they were open!

Google
It's waffle House! Great food fast. Can't beat the friendly service!

Google
This rating is compared to all other waffle houses I’ve been to and it’s quite a few, this one is my favorite. It’s always clean, the service is great and the food comes out quickly. Many of the staff have been here for years and most patrons are local so everyone knows everyone.

Google
Most waffle houses are usually good. This one was ok the orange juice could be a more sweety. But i enjoyed it peanut butter waffle and eggs

Yelp
Best Waffle House that I've ever been to period . The south has the best food. Like the adage goes, the dirtier the Waffle House, the better the food

Yelp
Stopped to eat here before heading to the airport. Atmosphere bright and clean! I have been to some waffle houses and they were Filthy. Service: our server was nice and the cook was engaging. Food: scrambled eggs and sausage. My eggs were cooked the way I ordered, soft. They were delicious. The sausage was salty. Overall this location is good. I would return. Oh wait! One thing I saw and wasn't happy about was when the cook spooned some waffle batter onto the griddle some dropped down the side of the grill and he scooped it up with the spoon. No! NO! No!!!

Yelp
It was hard to get a table. The counter we sat at wasn't wiped down. And I'm pretty sure the coffee mug needed to be rewashed. Even after all that, I still go to Waffle House. This particular location tends to be clean inside but after a busy morning and short/under staffing, it's best to temper expectations. Ordering at Waffle House takes skill. You can get your brekkie smothered, covered, chunked, diced, peppered, capped or topped. Heck go all the way if your feeling adventurous. I personally hacked together a breakfast biscuit sammie with eggs and peppered hashbrowns. Perfect carb heavy meal to get you going. I saw someone do a chicken biscuit off menu order because hey why not? It's Sunday. Anything you see online or on TikTok won't be prepped in house and the staff will tell you why. But come here for a nice meal like you'd make at home or if you don't wanna pay $8 for eggs at the grocery store.

Yelp
My daughter and I came here for brunch today and had a great experience. We were greeted warmly and promptly waited on by an exceptionally warm and amazing server. Her positivity was infectious and added greatly to our experience. She clearly enjoys her job and the people with whom she works. I was disappointed that the fiesta omelette was no longer on the menu but she assured me that they could still prepare it. Most omelettes are so dry but the Waffle House omelette is soft and fluffy. The fiesta omelette is filled with ham, cheese, tomatoes, onions, and of course, jalapeños! So delicious! My daughter had a bowl with chorizo, eggs, cheese and a side of bacon.Everything was so delicious and we thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. This location is always clean and welcome. You can't go wrong here if you're looking for a great meal!

Yelp
I haven't been to Waffle House in years. However I found this location in passing and it was pleasant. The server greeted us immediately and was so friendly. She engaged in good conversation and recommended some great places for us to visit. I went in for breakfast and got served pretty quickly. I ordered the original Belgian waffle grand slam breakfast. I don't eat pork so they substituted it for grilled chicken which was great. Also, I went in at a great time so it wasn't crowded. Overall the food was like the first time I experienced Waffle house and was excellent.

Yelp
Food was very good especially the chocolate waffles service is always good at this Waffle House overall a great family experience

Yelp
Just the best Waffle House in the country. Extremely busy on a Saturday morning in a severe thunderstorm and these folks don't miss a beat! Staff completely unfazed and so nice. Hard to say this but this is the best cooked meal ever be ever had at a Waffle House. I order the same thing every time all over the country and this was the best!! Clean, organized and you can tell extremely well trained and managed. Best best best. Should've taken a pic of the food, but was too good to let sit.

Yelp
I'm a bi weekly patron of this Waffle House. Every Atlanta resident knows that not all waffle houses are created equal but this Waffle House is by far, my favorite in the city. I am always greeted as soon as I walk in the door. The staff takes pride in getting your order accurate and out fast. They run a real smooth operation on sundays which is one of Waffle House's busier days due to the church crowd. The staff are by far the friendliest and most efficient group of people I've ever met. My order is always a LIGHT Waffle, an order of bacon, and a hash brown scattered well. In my opinion, one of the toughest orders is a light waffle simply because you have to watch the waffle maker but they get my waffle right every single time! This will forever be my favorite Waffle House!

Yelp
First time waffle house experience. I went in with a friend and it was "southern" to the max. The older woman who was waitressing was really chatty and charming. There was a discussion about the pronunciation of orange. Talk about challenges with hiring and another waffle house down the highway. I just mostly sat back and listened to the escalating southernisms that were emerging between my friend and the waitress. Definitely a cultural touchstone. I would recommend this specific diner just for the wonderful older black grandma who works here periodically. The cook was newer, so she gave him some tips -- e.g., cook the eggs more for a medium request. We ordered an entree to share, but with extra hashbrowns (YES) cooked with jalapenos, onions, and ham. And a waffle to the side. The waffle was soft and definitely not belgian, but I liked it! And the apple butter was quite nice. I got a nonsweet ice tea. Despite being super fast, the food was good. And just the right amount of grease -- it's not dripping in grease like other diners I've been to (ahem rural WI pit stops). Very happy and probably one of my favorite meals while in Atlanta!

Yelp
I'm normally anti Waffle House but this location is clean! Lately I've had so many random times where I'm not able to eat dinner until 10pm-4am and y'all know options are limited at this time. During these late nights incomes 24 hour waffle house as my stomach's knight in shining armour. Easy parking, quick service, fast cooks, etc. Also as we all know it's super cheap to eat here so you can order a lot for a little. I ordered an all star breakfast with a classic waffle, eggs, bacon, and grits and that food made me happy on the inside. I'd much rather come to this location rather than go to one of those super crowded locales near nightclubs and bars.

Yelp
Service here SUCKS!!!!!!!!!!! Piss Poor!!!!! Only one server and her attitude is nasty.... She mad at a customer because this location don't have any to go utensils for customers to place to go orders.. So unpleasant, real snappy, and it's not even busy/ crowded for this unwanted nasty energy.. She doesn't even have a name tag on for me to get her name. Counter top ain't wiped down clean or nothing... I just want to get my quick meal and go home!!

Yelp
Waffle House #1508 is referred to by some, including WaHo employees, as the "Beverly Hills" Waffle House. To date, it's the nicest Waffle House I've been to. It's in an affluent neighborhood just off of I-285 in Sandy Springs. It's clean, the food is a good value, and the staff is friendly. Waffle House is open 24/7 and serves breakfast, lunch, and dinner regardless of what time it is. They're known for their waffles, customizable hash browns and other breakfast foods, and also serve burgers, sandwiches, and melts. At this location, most meals can be had for under $8 each. I went with their most expensive item, the $10.90 T-bone steak dinner. The menu states the dinner comes with a T-bone steak, garden salad, hash browns, and Texas toast. However, our server said I could sub out the salad for eggs (steak and eggs, a popular option) and I could choose what kind of bread I wanted. IIRC, the choices were Texas toast, raisin bread, and wheat. There might've been one more bread choice. I went with the steak and eggs and had the eggs prepared over easy. The steak and eggs were served on separate plates. Lots of people like to put their eggs on top of their steak and let the yolks drizzle out, but instead I cut off pieces of steak and dipped it into my eggs (there were 2 eggs). I had the steak cooked medium rare and it was actually pretty good, especially for the price. The outer edges of the steak were cooked more to a well done while the inside portions of the steak, particularly towards the bone, were closer to a medium rare to rare. So yeah, the steak wasn't grilled to the same temperature consistently, but it was also a pretty thin, cheap cut. Surprisingly, it was tender, juicy, and flavorful. No sauce required, which is always a good sign. However, it also also chewy and tendony. The hash browns and Texas toast were OK. I had the hash browns plain. Two slices of Texas toast were served, halved into triangles, with small dollops of butter (or a buttery spread) in between with a side of grape jelly. I also had a plain waffle ($3.05, 410 calories) with syrup and spread, and tried my friend's customized hash browns which were double covered and double smothered. Covered means they come with melted cheese and smothered means they come with sauteed onions. They fresh-cut their onions here. Check out this video I recorded: https://www.yelp.com/biz_photos/waffle-house-1508-atlanta-3?select_video=x3jSsDMl7b6KHm3ym72uKQ The waffle was yummy. The double covered and double smothered hash browns were tasty too. You can also get the hash browns chunked (ham), diced (tomatoes), peppered (jalapenos), capped (mushrooms), topped (chili), country (gravy), and all the way (all toppings for $5). The food and service at this Waffle House outshine other Waffle Houses I've been to. The parking lot is nice and spacious too.

Yelp
One of the best WaHo's I've ever been to. I'm super thankful this is the closest one to me!! How to Get There: It's at the corner of Northside Drive and Powers Ferry, right off exit 22 from I-285. One way lanes here, so just be careful when you're getting in and out of the parking lot. Plenty of parking though, even on a busy Sunday morning. BTW, I would avoid Sunday brunch until after 1:00pm, otherwise you could be waiting a while for a seat. Ambiance: I mean, it's Waffle House. It's cleaner than most. Food: I'm sure we all have our favorites. I used to love their 2-3 egg combo, but the price on those things keeps going up. Patty Melt and Texas Cheesesteak Melt are great too. And of course I love my Chocolate Chip covered Waffle. I prefer my hashbrowns smothered (with onions). Anyways, back to the price. I'm glad they've started offering a pretty large value menu. You can get 15 meals for $5, including the drink! Some good options here are the Sausage Egg/Cheese/Grits Bowl with a biscuit; and my latest discovery-- Texas Sausage Melt with Hashbrowns. It's not quite Texas Cheesesteak level good, but definitely great value for the price. Whatever greasy, tasty breakfast food you want, as long as it's not a pancake, they got it! Service: This is where 1508 shines! Not only do the team members work efficiently during rush times, they still provide excellent service the whole way. Amber deserves a star because she remembered my order from over six weeks ago when I only visit here maybe once a month. I thought she was just sweet talking as most WaHo servers do, calling everyone "sweetie" and such. But she's the real deal! Anyways, I always feel welcomed here; and they always take care of their customers.

Yelp
Visiting here from California, and loved our experience at this location. Stacy, our waitress went above and beyond to celebrate our first time at a Waffle House. I didn't get the name of the cook that day but she was amazing and super friendly as well! Both of them greeted us as soon as we entered and served us our food very quickly! Would recommend this location!
google avatar

Curtis G.

Yelp
Mind you this is my local waffle house, I walk in to the cook walking out because the waitress is improperly trained, and left to work a holiday shift by herself, this shit is pathetic and childish.... so Now I have to ride around @ 2 am because of 2 unprofessional people ... smdh .....

Yelp
The service is amazing ! I came on a friday night at 1am and how fast they served me was great and with great customer service . the lady at the front is very nice . best waffle house in atlanta literally

Angie N.

Yelp
So, immediately my boyfriend and I were loudly and proudly welcomed and greeted by Wyetta and Michael. When I say loudly and proudly- I mean it. They were so GENUINELY kind and omg don't get me started on Wyetta... she was just over the top sweet. Like this lovely lady is a literal walking ray of sunshine! And Michael, man- that man Michael be throwing down by himself on the grill! No problamo! If we were to be in Atlanta anytime longer, this would be my go to WH, not the one across from Braves stadium. Love y'all!!!

Yelp
Always a win. Scattered, smothered and covered for me, please! Coffee is hot. Waffles are Delicious and staff is friendly! Easiest breakfast on the fly.

Yelp
Delightful! I'm from California and was visiting Georgia with family for the week. My last day in Georgia I decided to check the Waffle House off my bucket list. On a Sunday morning this place was packed which usually is a good sign for any food place. We were a party of 7 and didn't wait too long to be seated. I ordered the Peanut Butter Waffle and the Sausage, Egg, and Cheese Hashbrown bowl. It was very fulfilling, loved it. Our server was Alyssa and she was very kind and assertive. Great first time experience!

Yelp
Had a great visit here for Tanya C.'s Breakfast Club UYE series. Honestly, I came here for the people not the food but it was pretty good to have their chili again. Located off the highway, this location is just minutes from the exit and very easily accessible from either direction on Northside Drive. According to Tanya C. this is the "Beverly Hills" of Waffle Houses and we all believed it. It seemed much cleaner than other Waffle Houses, the location of this restaurant is prime real estate and the staff here is pretty solid. They have a huge parking lot and I was happy that their bathrooms were well maintained. During the UYE visit, I ordered the grand slam breakfast. I had a bite of the waffle, substituted the white toast for the raisin toast and ordered the sausage patties instead of the bacon. Everything was just a I expected. Didn't try their infamous hash browns but was happy to order a bowl of chili just because I recall it being tasty the last time I ordered a bowl, over 5 years ago. To my surprise the recipe hasn't changed and their chili was as good as it was back then. Our server was fantastic and totally gave us "service with a smile." If I'm ever back in the Marietta area and craving the "awful Waffle" house, I'll be sure to return to this particular location because they certainly left a lasting impression.
google avatar

Scott K.

Yelp
Blueberry Waffle me and then step off short stack! Everyone seems to have an opinion when it comes to the Waffle House. "Poison" I hear people say! "Toxic Shock Syndrome" they boldly state! "Awful House" I hear people joke! But you know what? "Zip It" I say! I know America when I see her, and she's in every Waffle House across this great land! Cheap, sweet & salty, butter soaked America... I salute you!

Ken P.

Yelp
Worst service I have ever experienced in my entire life at a waffle house, OK they were busy but do I really need to clean my own table off? Food was incorrect food was horrible food order was incorrect had to go up and out for drinks had to go up to the front and ask for water had to go up and out for coffee no refills I will never ever ever go to a waffle house again especially this one!!!!!!
google avatar

Brian S.

Yelp
Hands down the best waffle house I've ever been to. They're food is Waffle House food, that's not where the five stars come into play. Everyone knows that Waffle Houses are for late night drunk dining or after church Sunday breakfast. This Waffle House handles both crowds with style, talent and efficiency. I try to go for Sunday breakfast a couple times a month and every time I hit the church crowd but you can't even tell. The way they handle the rush is so quick and efficient that i'm in and out with no problem. My meal is ALWAYS and I'm saying ALWAYS right...down to the toppings on my hasbrowns. I'm appreciative when places pay attention to detail like that. The reason this place deserves five stars is very subtle so I urge you to try it out for yourself and see. If you're in the area and are craving some Waffle House, skip the one on Cobb Parkway and head to this one; you wont be sorry.

Robert B.

Yelp
Really great service here. I have yet to be at a WH that I didn't legitimately enjoy. Service was great. Servers were very friendly. Food came out prompt and piping hot!! I had the fiesta omelette with a coke (have to get a Coke while in the ATL area) Sadly no pics today but I highly recommend trying out WH whenever you're in the area.
google avatar

Tres B.

Yelp
Here are midnight, very skecthy scary crowd. yes , it is a Waffle House. They were also out of several comon food selectins. My waffle was cold and bland. again, its a Waffle House. Only stop here if drunk, lost or desparate.
google avatar

Phil V.

Yelp
Although I love the food here at Waffle House....this girl prolly was new because she took my order and got my food and it was sitting in the counter for awhile and she didn't get the food till I had to remind her. Her name was Eleanor. She kinda looked lost and confused. WH needs to train their staff better!
google avatar

Yelp
First time to a Waffle House. Great service and food, I ordered their pork chops and waffles. Weird combo but really good.
google avatar

Yelp
There are A LOT of Waffle House in the Atlanta area and I have visited many locations. This is my favorite thus far. Very very friendly, efficient and proficient staff. They took the time to sing "happy birthday" even tho it was busy breakfast hour.
google avatar

Jay M.

Yelp
It was just ok. Waffles were a little on the soft and light side. Late in the evening and the coffee tasted a little scorched. Eggs were ok and the sausage was dry. Not my best choice for a late dinner.
google avatar

Jim M.

Yelp
I don't come here that often, but it's near my husbands office so I occasionally drop by for a meal. Even though this is a Waffle House, I hold them to the same standards as pretty much any breakfast establishment, probably higher. I like to sit at the bar when I'm alone, it gives me the opportunity to observe the dynamics behind the counter. My "salesperson's" name was "South". I don't like to mention names in reviews unless it merits recognition. Like her namesake she's full of charm and personality. Excellent friendly service! The staff is like watching a synchronized swim team, extremely efficient. These people really enjoy working together and it shows. They like to chat but it doesn't take away from their performance. My cashier's name was "Amber". In a transaction that could have been a quick take your money and go, she took the time to ask if I wanted some coffee to go, and addressed me by name, by simply looking at the credit card for the transaction. She didn't have to because my face is on the card. It's small details like this that separate a successful business from businesses that are simply getting by. This Waffle House is seated literally next to a Wyndham and across from a McDonald's & a Starbucks. They could easily just get by from the steady clientele from the hotel. But they go above and beyond expectation.
google avatar

Ulanda F.

Yelp
Delicious, clean and the food was on point. Must hit spot, taste like how a Waffle House should taste like.
google avatar

Luwei G.

Yelp
It's a Waffle House so I wasn't expecting too much. We ordered a waffle and an egg, bacon and cheese toast with hash-brown. Considering the price, I would say the food was decent. It would be nicer if they could offer real butter for the waffle. BTW, there seem to be quite a few people during breakfast hour.
google avatar

Jonathan S.

Yelp
Very efficient but table was dirty and food was cooked wrong. Granted it is Sunday morning and they are slammed but still hash browns were over cooked I asked for them light and the eggs were over cooked. I asked for over medium. Other then that not too bad. I will return.

Tyler J.

Yelp
there's a woman here named Mrs. Cynt. she was here by herself as a server and cook, no help! it's sad how she was by herself! But she got the job done! Waffle House #1508 , do not let your coworkers down. Pls give her a promotion.
google avatar

Nicholas S.

Yelp
Best Waffle House ever! Nothing made me happier to see all of the employees wearing Atlanta Falcons gear. Food was fresh and the employees were very friendly and inviting!
google avatar

John M.

Yelp
It's always a blessing when you find a Waffle House in close proximity with a friendly, efficient staff. It's always a pleasure eating here, and I will continue to do so as often as I can. FOUR (ALL) STARS for this location!
google avatar

Deangelo M.

Yelp
With the current events happening across the country at WH stores, it was pretty refreshing to experience some genuinely positive staff at this location. She engaged me in convo, found out where I was from and even put me on to a pretty decent chef here in ATL. It's great when people reassure you in simple humanity.

Kelly W.

Yelp
24 hour service does not mean 24 hour service. We were told we had to wait 30 minutes for a shift change before we could place a take out order only. And, then only online. What?
google avatar

Kathleen M.

Yelp
Returned to this location for Valentine's Day, and they remembered everything... and did it all with a snaggly toothed smile. God damn, I love this place. Although I've got a bone to pick with whoever chose the selections in this jukebox. First of all, it's one of those new fangled ones that has the entire CD rather than just 2 songs by each artist. Second, no Freebird. WTF. You HAVE to listen to Freebird while at WaHo. Honestly.

Yelp
I used to joke that in order to get a job at the Waffle House you had to be an ex-con. And if you looked close enough, you could actually see the leg chain that shackled the line cook to the base of the grill. Obviously that's not true, but if you've gone into the 'wrong' Waffle House after a late night at the club, you know it ain't completely false, either. Still, there's something about the place that keeps me going back every once in a while. Maybe it's because they're as common in Georgia as kudzu or springtime pollen. Perhaps it's the fact that - good or bad- EVERY trip to the waffle house is an experience (Seriously, have you ever been to a Waffle House and left without an interesting story to tell?). Or it could be that it's the perfect place to go when I'm missing mama and grandma and want somebody to call me 'baby' and 'sugah' while they serve me food that I KNOW isn't good for me but tastes soooo right. It's a Saturday and I've foregone my usual laziness, instead opting to go out and run some early morning errands. Feeling proud that I'm up, dressed, and finished with most of my to-dos before noon, I decide to reward myself with a little breakfast. Cresting a hill, I spy that familiar sign - two simple words spelled out in garish yellow squares - and I feel an instant twinge of nostalgia. As soon as I ask myself, "Should I...?" my stomach responds with an approving grumble, and my hands comply by turning the steering wheel towards the parking lot. I'm greeted at the door by one of the waitresses whose name I'm certain is either Flo or Gladys or Shirley or something very similar. I choose an empty seat at the counter and she hands me a menu. I'm instantly absorbed in the familiar quick-order cacophony of jangling silverware and clanking dishes, sizzling food on grill, punctuated by the shrill voices of waitresses hollering out orders in a drawling language only spoken here: "Pull! One chicken plate! Drop 2 hashbrowns! 1 scattered, covered, and diiiced, 1 scattered, covered, smothered, and chunked!" Welcome to the House. Immediately the grill cook - a big dude with his hair tied back in a long, Boo-Ya Tribe ponytail (leg-chain missing) gets to work. He adds a new round of oil to the griddle, and begins grabbing additional supplies from the nearby fridge, then sets to rhythmically flipping, scrambling, and shifting all the items on the grill. It's just as much performance art as it is sheer short-order genius. As I wait for my tried-and-true order of a waffle, a side of sausage, and hash browns - scattered, covered, and smothered, I ponder a couple of stickers positioned above the grill. Both are written in Waffle-speak. 1 reads: 'Don't Turn and Burn', and the other: 'Kill the Flame and Get in the Game'. Soon, the meaning of the latter becomes apparent. In a 5-minute lull in the steady flow of customers and orders, the floors are swept, the waffle irons de-crusted, and napkin dispensers refilled. All the while, the staff exchanges sassy comments and witty replies. Everything here - including the banter - moves with a sort of synchronized, snappy timing. After I finish my meal and pay the check, the waitress who served me drawls loudly from across the room, "Okay, huuun. You have a good day now! I find myself inadvertently drawling back, "Yes ma'am, you tooooo!" cheers, k www.bonvivantonline.com

Yelp
I'd never been to a waffle house and perhaps expected more than I should have. The waffle was good but not life changing. It was a bit too sweet and could have used a little crisping. Everything else we got was ok but not amazing from the eggs to grits, biscuits and bacon. I'd return if necessary but would choose Dennys or IHOP over Waffle House.

Lindsay B.

Yelp
This hands down the best Waffle House in the country. The waitresses treat you and your family like royalty. Your cup will never been empty and your food will come out hot and quickly. We love Nikki and Kimmie but all the waitresses are wonderful! Thanks for making our weekends start off so wonderfully each and every Saturday!

Yelp
"...and in the mornin, I'm makin' waffles!" -- Multiplicity (1996) I've been here a few times (too many). This is usually my stop in the middle of the night after a long night of hanging out and I have a hankering (yes, you heard me) for hashbrowns (scattered, covered and chunked). And on really crazy nights, a patty melt is in order!! This location always takes great care of me, whether eating in or taking out. This place is always so clean (one of the best and cleanest of the WaHos) and I think this is because it is next to a hotel and really the only choice for the hotel guests to get food (besides the McD's). Did I mention that the staff is super friendly too? Beware that the streets around the WaHo are all one way? Good tip. You're welcome.

JaRon D.

Yelp
If I could give this place a rating above five I would, my friends and I had came back from a cold and utterly boring football game and had the urge to throw down on some food. We looked at neighboring restaurants and decided to drop on in at the local Waffle House (in the area of course) we walked in and were greeted like a family and sat with urgency. Our waitress was the nicest lady you could meet. Made my friends and I feel at home. And I know with being in Atlanta there are a lot of waffle houses to choose from but I'm glad we stumbled upon this location. Our waitress made our food with such love and grace, everything was exactly how we wanted it. And as we stuffed our faces with the glorious breakfast food. Our waitress was vigilant with making sure my friends and I weren't parched. I almost got up in the middle of my meal to give my waitress and the rest of the staff a hug. The meals they provided were so graciously appreciated by not only me but my three other fellow friends. We were so pleased and appreciate the team at this location, we will be back. I can also say that this isn't a Waffle House....this is a Waffle Home. Much love.

Yelp
This is my favorite Waffle House in Atlanta! The team is so nice and welcoming. The food is always delivered fast and tastes so good. If you're in the area I recommend stopping here for a bite to eat.

Yelp
I have to represent my local Waffle House. Every time I go home to Atlanta to visit the folks, many a meal happens here. 24 / 7 / 365 . . . . how can you beat those hours? Hey fellow Jews, forget Chinese on Christmas. If you live due south of the Mason-Dixon line, hit Waffle House. Oh, make sure to play an original Waffle House song on the jukebox while you are there. There are like 15 to choose from. My personal favorite is "Waffle House Doo-Wop"

Yelp
Best Waffle House in America! I've been coming here for 10 years. The staff is so nice and they really are the best. PS Miss my homegirl Lisa but the staff here is still awesome sauce

Yelp
Food was great. Busy time for the restaurant but the manager whose name I caught as THEO was an amazing leader to his staff. He made a huge impression on us and this is my first yelp review because he deserved the recognition!

Yelp
The best WH and outdone by none! This is part of my daily routine. From the waitresses to the cooks to the manager one and all are outstanding. They treat me like royalty. Food is always prepared perfectly and most mornings it's waiting for me when I see my car pull up in the parking lot. During a recent illness they are prayers and concern and the flowers help me on my way to recovery. Each one of those morning breakfast team is an extension of my family. Love love love the breakfast team. O
