Wah Wah, Lower Greenville’s New ‘70s-Themed Cocktail Den, Is Open - Eater Dallas

"Wah Wah, Lower Greenville’s newest drinking destination, has arrived. The new bar from the minds behind Laurel Tavern debuted last week right next door to its sister establishment, bringing a decidedly rebellious vibe and plenty of ‘70s nostalgia. Taking its name from the electric modifier pedal that is responsible for many unforgettable guitar solos of the 1970’s, the new bar at 1922 Greenville Avenue officially kicked open the doors on Thursday of last week. Wah Wah shares a kitchen and patio with Laurel Tavern, but that’s pretty much where the similarities end. Where Laurel Tavern feels closer to a place where you might take the parents for some burgers and brews, Wah Wah is much more intimate, and lends itself to a date spot. And while the space may be reminiscent of more party-focused establishments, don’t call it a club." - Daniel Rockey

Cool lounge that's kinda hidden from view. Plays 79s and 80s miss c. Not too big. Drinks are a bit pricy and it's a bit too loud inside - I guess I AM old. Otherwise not too bad

The room is small. The vibe is big. Best bar on Lowest Greenville! Staff, drinks & food are amazing!!

This is a smaller venue and it can be easy to miss when walking the down street. But this 70s themed bar is a great spot for a fun gathering. Their drinks are excellent and the fires are delicious. We went early on a Saturday night and they didn't start playing 70s music until the DJ got there, but I love that I could talk to the person across from me with only a minimal amount of effort. It may make me old but I hate it when a place has the music up too loud. The volume here was great though.

Good drinks at reasonable prices, or at least reasonable by today's standards and for this part of town. The service was good. The atmosphere was great for hanging out with friends. Was a little surprised they close at midnight but luckily there's other bars right next door if you need to keep the party going.

Wah Wah Room is the best thing to happen to Greenville Ave since Trader Joe’s. It’s the perfect mix of the neighborhood vibe with a bit of Rock n roll. The bartenders are the best in town and on top of things! 10/10. We loved it!!!

Super cool place. Hard to find, but that’s definitely part of the mystique. FYI, the signature cocktails are definitely very “crafty;” not for the faint of palate.

Wah Wah Room shredssss like the wah wah pedal you never had!! Atmosphere is one hundred. Crowd is one hundred. Menu is one hundred. Shares a patio with Laurel Tavern! Great addition to the lowest greenville family. Will be back asap.

Be prepared to be disappointed, half of what is one the menu you cannot order because they are "out of it", very small and cramped.
