Where Chefs Go: Hingham, Massachusetts

"Wahlburgers is a niche fast food chain which locals love and where Bleidorn recommends ordering the 'Our Burger' and a frappe with extra malt. 'There are not many fancy fast food places in the area,' he says. 'Wahlburgers has a lot of locations across the U.S. now, but the original location was in Hingham.'" - Marguerite Imbert

Google
First time eating at Wahlburgers. It was all around great! The hamburgers had a great ratio of meat, veggies, and bun. The brioche bun was a nice touch. Bryce our server was very friendly to everyone who walked in the door and sat close to the bar. The fries and tots were cooked and seasoned well.

I visited Wahlburgers Hingham Shipyard Boston for my very first meal after arriving in the U.S., but unfortunately, it didn’t meet my expectations. The burger was dry and lacked flavor, and the chicken tenders were tough, clearly fried from frozen. I paid over $60 for a meal I could barely eat. While the service was decent, the food quality was disappointing. It’s unfortunate, as I expected more from such a well-known brand.

The first time I ordered from here the food was good. Today the food was disgusting. The fries were cold. The burger was cold. Burger did not taste like grilled beef. The smell of the onions was so strong I could smell it through the bag like they were old. The bread just fell apart like it was old. I will never order from this place again.

The burgers are delicious. Well stuffed and varied. Very well served and really worth it. The milkshakes are very good too. Only the service is sometimes not so good. The staff seem forgetful and take a while, but they do serve you well! It's a nice place to go with the family.

Sat at the bar. A mountain of leftover food and trash left in front of me. I waited 15 minutes before someone asked me if I wanted to order. 40 minutes later and I'm still waiting for food while people around me start to complain about the wait time. Debris still in front of me (though I pushed it to the side so I could have space) and not even my soda arrived. I tried to ask for my order to go and they were saying it was going to take another 20 minutes. I just decided to leave after that.

I'm from Texas and have been a fan. Ever since watching the show I had always wanted to come to a Whalbugers. Finally had the chance and let me tell you, it did not disappoint especiallythe fried pickles, best by far. Great service, food and prices. 10/10 wishing I had been able to see one of the brothers bit the manager made up for it with his great attitude/service. Will make another trip just for another wonderful experience.

It’s a cozy place where you can get delicious burgers, fries and more. I had their Fiesta Burger with fries. The burger is mildly spicy and scrumptious!

I was at the Hingham Wahlburgers last Thursday. Jill was our server and she was AMAZING!! Very friendly and patient. I was there with my 80 yr old mom - who can be pretty picky about what she eats. She loved the ‘Our Burger’ in a bowl - absolutely perfect choice for her and easy to eat. Everything was delicious!! 💚

Yelp
When you're in the Boston area apparently thing to do is pay a visit to wahlburgers.... According to the misses that is. She's been a long time fan of NKOTB and the show so today her wishes were granted. It's great walking into a restaurant and getting. Friendly hello and smile, and being seated in booth that gives you a great view of all the decor that helped make the restaurant even more popular. Our waitress was nothing short of amazing during our visit, getting drinks to us quickly and food orders going as well. The table had to try "all the sides /minus salad" so that's why the sides are not on the plates. Here's a quick rundown of today's meal. Our burger- a perfectly seasoned/ cooked burger which was just the right size to fill you up. Double decker, idk if it was all the walking I did today or the lack of breakfast but this thing went down. It was savory and cooked to perfection. I regret taking the whole thing down in one sitting but wow. I'd get this again OFD(x2)- I was told this burger was perfection and the bacon made it even better. Kids tenders- super crispy and well cooked the little yelper enjoyed them thoroughly. The stand out side for us was the onion rings. We loved how they were more straw fried than rings. The fries and sweet/ regular tots were good but the winner of that was the sweet potato tots. Hey wahl team, serve those up with some Dave's hot honey and I think you have a flavor slam dunk on your hands.... Caramel Shake (x2) it was piled high up out of the glass and I was told it was a fantastic treat to go with the meal. Great balance of the ice cream and caramel. We'd definitely come back to this location , there used to be one almost 2 hours away but it's been closed. So next road trip this way we know where to get a solid meal.

Yelp
We picked up burgers here after a hot and sunny day in Boston and it really hit the spot! The burgers, fries, and tots were all very good. It's about the same quality as Five Guys for me, but more unique and fun to go to if you're in the area. The online ordering system was easy to use and it was ready quickly.

Yelp
I really felt like a double Bacon cheeseburger, so we went to Wahlburgers! Such a great burger! I got a double bacon, government cheese, onion string burger. This has to be the best, freshest burger I've ever eaten. The place is super cute. Really love this place no room for dessert after this burger! Next time though. The workers were great making sure everything was exactly how we wanted it to be. Great customer service for such young workers! Keep it up, I'll be back.

Yelp
I came to Boston with a friend, I don't know anyone here, I came along for the ride , the only thing I wanted to do was eat here. That's right Walburgers! And it didn't disappoint. The staff was young adults , very respectful and helpful, they all were all very professional I bought a shot glass here too! The shot Glass is heavy and not the cheap souvenir ones you get in the shops or airport, so thanks for that!

Yelp
DO NOT GO TO WAHLBURGERS LOCATED AT HINGHAM SHIPYARD The employees at this establishment are among the most rude and ignorant I have ever encountered. My biggest regret other than coming to this specific Wahburgers location in the first place was the undeserved tip I gave them. As someone who has worked in the food industry I always ensure a tip but the employees at this establishment are beyond undeserving. I hope they learn to improve their behavior as they were young and clearly did not know proper mannerisms. However, the food was good which is the only reason I would consider giving it more than one star.

Yelp
Absolutely delicious, Liz was an amazing server and really enjoyed this outing. I will be back

Yelp
ATTENTION ALL WALHBURGERS LOVERS! Pay attention to what I am about to divulge in the Review that will make all of us extremely happy! They have now and begun serving the Best WALHBURGERS on their FIRST MOBILE FOOD TRUCK! The Inauguration happened this past weekend at Quincy Food Truck and Music Festival October 5, 2024. Paul WALHBURGER himself as Chef at the grill served up burgers to its waiting customers that lined Coddngton Street waiting very patiently to enjoy its amazing burgers! Paul himself came out infront of the Big Green Mobile Food Truck to Greet those customers! There were over 5000 attendees that packed the Street lined with several Food Trucks and WALHBURGERS was no exception! The Big Green Truck has the Best location for this event right across from the Entertainment Stage! You could not miss this Food Truck and Logo! CONGRATULATIONS AND BEST OF LUCK! Looking forward to seeing this Mobile Food Truck at many of our Festivals! Now I can have their tasty burgers at these venues! Thanks Paul for your gracious and delicious WALHBURGERS!!!

Yelp
Update from last review, mainly because when we visited sometime ago, they said they no longer had the fish sandwich , but it appears it's back. So, we went back as my wife used to like it a lot. Sadly, it has somehow changed. Bottom line, not sure it's haddock, but the batter was different, and the fish just not as it was, no understanding why... It's a taste thing and it does not taste the same. In fact she said she'd just as soon eat MickyD fish, ohhh no, not doing it, so this is place we ate 1-2x a month and 5.0 to a now 1.0.! The buns are different, slightly bigger and softer, I liked that but she did not... So that's a wash because my " "Our Burger" was still a very good hamburger to the 3.9-4.0 score. Service is now self serve vs old at the table ordering which is what it is, just information. It all clearly cost cutting process. So overall score for the visit ia 2.0, no reason to return. The fish across street , Alma Move ( a Walburger owner) The overall score 2.0 no reason to return ...

Yelp
One of the best burgers I've ever had! Full of flavor and cooked to perfection. Worth the wait and lived up to the hype.

Yelp
Decent burgers but definitely overpriced. Over $9 for a single burger from a fast-foody chain, without fries, is a tad bit ridiculous. What's even more ridiculous is almost $15 for an impossible burger. I am aware that impossible burgers take more effort to make, but a over a 50% present increase in the price from real meat to fake meat should not be seen in any establishment. Vegetarians must be fed as well and shouldn't be paying such high prices because they chose not to eat meat. Don't forget an additional $3 for a side of fries.. Aside from the economic standpoint, the food was just decent. The burger was cooked nicely and the toppings were fresh, but nothing to write home about. It's the kind of place you'll come to once but forget about it. One pro is that it's very family friendly and the service is great.

Yelp
Where to begin.... We sat at the bar where the counter top was not busy but very dirty. The bar tender promptly wiped just in front of us but kept the other bar section's dirty. We finally decided to order wine and the bar tender poured our wine and placed it front of us. The pour appeared to be about 3-4 ounces. I asked how they measured the pour. He said he didn't know, no one ever told him. He said he did a 2-3 second pour. What?! I said usual wine pours are about 6 ounces. When he went to open a new bottle, he struggled and didn't know how to open a wine bottle. We had to instruct him on how to open a wine bottle. Where is management?! As for the food: The burger was bad and fries were good. We decided to walk across to Alma's to give the family business another try.

Yelp
We had an amazing time...Melissa, our bartender/server was great...good conversation that made two "out of towners" feel at home (even with a Ravens hat)....the "fiesta" burger is a winner..."Our burger" is a definite go-to...sweet potato tots say less...should have got a second order...we will definitely come back on our next trip to the Boston area...Thank you Wahlburgers

Yelp
Had a server that couldn't care twice about our table. Tried to tell me the Watchusett beer on tap was similar to the Sam summer he told me they had which is wildly not true. Someone at my table had ordered some sort of cheeseburger that came out with no cheese. I ordered the sweet chili glazed chicken tenders and they were so gross couldn't even eat a full one I thought I was going to vomit. The server never asked me if something was wrong nor with that much food left on my plate if I wanted a box. I used to be be a bartender and I never would have not addressed the fact a guest ate basically a 1/24 of the food given to them. Left me with at least two bad tastes in my mouth. Wouldn't go there again.

Yelp
Great food selection and fantastic service, above and beyond accommodating and friendly. Delicious burgers and drinks, we loved it. And the outside seating was refreshing and clean.

Yelp
I had a burger from their truck at one point and have wanted to try the brick and mortar since. Sometimes food trucks don't do the B&M justice, and I just wanted an excuse to go out to eat. Like I need one! I ordered the Our Burger, cooked medium-rare, and onion rings. The burger was a pleasure to look at: it was assembled really nicely and had all the ingredients you could ask for. However, the proof of the pudding is in the eating. Biting into this burger was almost paradoxical. The patty had some juiciness, and the veggies weren't skimped on, but it still had a very dry mouth-feel, almost as if I was eating white bread out of the bag. While it did have some juiciness, the patty was cooked more of a medium-well, maybe a medium if I'm being generous. It also had a lack of seasoning. A little salt would do wonders to wake this patty up. I've no complaints about the veggies, only to say they didn't make much of an impact on the flavor. Now, allegedly this burger has sauce, but if you'd asked me while eating, I would have asked: "What sauce?". It did not make an impact at all, especially when it was most needed. I regret to say I'd take Five Guys over Wahlburgers. There is just an abundantly satisfying feeling about biting 5G burger that was so sorely missing here. The shoestring fries were solid. They weren't over-salted or over-greased, and the portion size was generous. They were very lightly dusted with an herb of some kind, but I didn't feel this impacting the flavor. The service was friendly and appropriately fast for a burger restaurant, and the location was clean!

Yelp
We have been going to this location since they opened and I was disappointed with our last visit; we wanted to sit in the "dining area" however it's now all take out style which was disappointing but not a deal breaker. However we ordered our meals which in included a shake, which we did not receive until well after we finished eating. We did ask a couple times about it and was told it was coming right up. So one person had no beverage with their meal. I understand they were busy but an apology or acknowledgment about the wait would have gone along way

Yelp
The only reason Wahlburgers is so popular is because it has star power behind it. Don't get me wrong - the food wasn't bad, but it was very generic and there are much better options out there. I got a classic cheese burger along with an order of cheesy bacon tots. The tots were actually my favorite, which probably should be the opposite reaction at a place that's got burger in the name. We had good service and I was glad to try it once, but definitely won't go out of my way to eat here again.

Yelp
My daughter, grandson and I have been making a trip from Shaftsbury Vt. To Shriners Children's Hospital in Springfield Ma. a couple of times a year. My grandson decided that he wanted to eat at Wendy's this trip. The Adults decided to try Wahlburgers. We were very pleased. The burger, Chicken sandwich and bacon, Mac and cheese were a hit. Most importantly the our server Brooke was a delight. I found it very affordable. We will be stopping by again on our next visit to Shriners .

P L.

Yelp
Not a fan at all overpriced tasteless burgers. I had the Our burger the burger itself did have not seasoning . It cost $10 for a flat burger, the special sauce was nothing special it tasted like thousand island dressing in need of seasoning. For $10 it didn't come with anything I added tater tots and truffle fries. Tater tots was fine hard to mess up cooking frozen tots. Truffle fries good but for $9 barely a handful of fries. Will not be returning. Service was very good which is why it is 2 stars.

Yelp
Have had many good meals there until tonight. Now you are asked to order on a screen which not everyone is comfortable with. They no longer offer blue cheese as a burger topping. You no longer are able to request that your burger be rare or medium rear. The truffle tots were still good! They were doing a breast cancer awareness fund raiser. Which was very nice of Wahlburgers to do in conjunction with the Hingham Police. We were happy to donate $20 each. We got more for our money making the donation than we got for our $42 bill for food. I am sorry to say we will not be going back.

Yelp
I had lunch with a coworker at the Hingham Wahlburgers. We both ordered their fish sandwich. Understanding the Walhbergs talk about growing up eating government cheese and simple food, it would be expected that they might offer a higher quality or prepared product as seen in their picture advertising and price point. What my co worker and I received for a sandwich was as basic as cafeteria cuisine. The bun was sickly pale and void of quality. It looked like it had been salvaged from a WWII era military MRE. ( for those who know what I am talking about, the bread that, when released from its prison vacuum sealed package, where it takes its own deep first breath in years and is bordering on stale and in desperate need of sunlight). The fish was marginal, overly brown from being cooked in a fryolator that has old grease. So little shredded lettuce that one can only imagine there was a supply chain shortage and just to satisfy the sandwich description, the smallest amount was added to avoid misrepresentation. A huge slab of tomato that was also in need of some sunlight as it was a VERY pale shade of rose bordering on a pinkish off white. Quite a bit of tartar sauce in an attempt to make everything lacking worth while but messy. Service was average but what can you expect in today's dining experience? TIPS (to insure prompt service)??? Not the server's fault, the food quality, but where is the pride in quality and service? To put your family name on sub-par products and charge premium prices??? Quality control boys. Pride in ownership and offering something that is going extinct in today's society. CUSTOMER SERVICE!!! Not sure I would waste my money again on any Wahlburger product. I could have had fast food for less and expected consistent quality.

Yelp
I wish I could give this place 20 stars, came here with my daughter and sun in-law. Service was exceptional and the food was out of this world we also had ordered some appetizers, nothing was greasy nor over breaded, just the right amount of everything. It seems like this place was perfectly decorated, not so much in your face. I wish there was a location where I live in Rhode Island because it would definitely be a hit.

LAfe L.

Yelp
I've always been a fan of Wahlburgers, so I decided to try the new Hingham location. Nice spiffy new place. The food was excellent, and the staff extremely courteous and efficient. I will definitely be back!

Yelp
Absolutely loved the new chorizo spicy burger! Great with the lightly fried and sweet onion strings! Bartender very attentive and appreciated the timely service...a rare commodity at many restaurants these days.

Yelp
Worst service. Holiday weekend so Not busy at all, and we waited too long for everything; from being seated (host didn't know if we could sit outside) any idiot could see MANY open clean tables. To drinks (unreal the wait) to food, many servers "helping" and even the check. (Leftovers for 3 boxes but no bag?) common sense? The food wasn't bad and the staff wasn't bad... per say (just extremely green) ... but wake up. It's not busy, there's no reason our meal should have taken 2 hours OR TWO DIFFERENT SERVERS. For burgers and shakes. Especially at the price point in hingham. Many better places in the area with MUCH better service for not much more money. As a local... The Wahlburgs would probably be ashamed.

Train W.

Yelp
This is the 2nd time I've been to a Wahlburgers and found the food to be "Meh". The Fiesta burger did not have that fresh taste and the tater tots were bland (more than likely frozen). The service was efficient, considering the time of day. Lastly, what is with rounding the bill up to the nearest dollar?? My bill was $43.39, and was given $46 in return. I didn't think to question at the time (my fault), bit does this go to a specific charity and I saw no signage stating "your bill will be rounded to the nearest dollar".

Matt D.

Yelp
So walburgers just shot themselves in the leg.... Can't add Bacon, mushrooms, fried egg, jalapeños..... SERIOUSLY?!?!? Was ordering multiple days a week... Don't think I'll order from here again....

Yelp
Road trip to MA and before continuing our trip to Boston and Fenway park we decided to stop at the original Wahlburgers. Watching the show for a few episodes we had to visit, and taste it for ourselves. Hopefully we also would get a glimpse of Donnie, Mark or Paul (we didn't). The restaurant is located in a busy and beautiful area. The service is very friendly, and the menu gives you enough choices to contemplate for a moment what to get. It was a nice day and we were able to sit outside enjoying our orders. It was not only a cool experience, but the food didn't disappoint either. Thanks Wahlburgers for the hospitality!

Julie C.

Yelp
I noticed the tator tots tasted different similar to the frozen ones you buy in the supermarket, and the hamburger patty got smaller. We received no napkins or silverware when food arrived at the table and waited long enough for the waiter to take our order. I had to see the manager to get silverware. Not the same Wahlburgers as far as service and food quality at the Hingham location.

Nancy H.

Yelp
My family and I had the most AMAZING experience at Wahlburgers in Hingham, MA on Monday night. My niece and her boyfriend from, Sydney Australia, were visiting for 9 days. The only place they requested we go for dinner was Wahlburgers for dinner. Their last night here 8 of us went over to Hingham for dinner. From the moment we arrived until the moment we left it was a wonderful experience. The lady who sat us made sure we had a booth so it was easy for my dad to sit. She also brought over a table so we could extend the booth and have one long dining table. Our waiter, Conor, was top notch! As soon as we sat he was right over attending to us. He was outgoing and so very friendly - he didn't miss a beat our whole visit - even when the Australians asked for chips...meaning fries. The food was AMAZING! My friend and I got the Jenny salads and the rest of the group got burgers. I even got a burger to go to have for my dinner Tuesday night. After our meal I brought them over to get shirts to remember this adventure. My niece really wanted a the black shirt in a small. Unfortunately, they were out of them. After discussing options to get her the shirt, the AMAZING manager Kevin came over and gave her a white shirt so she would not leave empty handed!! Truly wonderful customer service! I can not thank Conor, Kevin, and the whole Hingham Team enough for such a spectacular night! Can not wait to go back!! Nancy Hawkes Park Ave Market ACE Hardware

Yelp
Burgers and fries are good but nothing out of this world. I've only ordered takeout but the restaurant looks nice and clean when I've gone to pick up. Quick service.

Yelp
Bangin lunch at Wahlburgers, Nassime was incredibly friendly and attentive, making us feel right at home from the moment we walked in. He knew all the specials inside and out, offering great recommendations that didn't disappoint. Totally would have gotten a Wahlbrewski if we werent still on the job. The food was good, way better than mcdonalds lile one of us wanted. The atmosphere was lively and welcoming. A perfect place for a chill meal. We'll definitely be back! Five stars all the way!

Yelp
We had a great lunch today Food was great Our waitress was a sweetheart her name was Milo Such a nice girl

Yelp
Well, I am 4th generation from Dorchesta and born in Dorchesta ... therefore I don't like ripping or dropping a dime on the Wahlburgers from Dorchesta as respect is due. But, I have to be honest as all in Dorchesta speak bluntly . I was going to Lowes in Weymouth Sunday and needed lunch... Yelp displayed Jersey Mikes which I like and Wahlburgers. I have eaten at the Fenway Wahlburgers many times and others in other states. I was in mood for a frappe ... so Wahlburgers . I go in and no signage where to order. Told I need to sit down and someone will then wait on me? Why ...no time to waste . Waste another 5 bucks on tip for nothing? $30.39 already expensive for a burger lunch. I tell kid I'll order take out then. I order the patty melt, spinach tots, and coffee frappe . Total was $30.39 per receipt. Kid says 15 minutes .... Well was 30 minutes... while waiting I saw a-lot that Donny or Mark would not like . Every exterior window needs regular washing. Do they employ a weekly guy to do windows a professional? Not a kid with windex bottle and dirty cloth? Finger prints all over many surfaces doors finger prints. See pics of stuff on floor, table was not clear when I came in ; cleared 15 minutes after I showed... no manager in site... I counted at least 13-15 employees, more in back too. It wasn't that busy, many catching flies? Wandering...one guy watching TV Three in way of guy with mop bucket, he gave up and walked away and left bucket and mop in kitchen walkway . One table had syrup or soda drinks stains under it...it looked at first like something at MBTA subway stop urine under bench....Manager came out of backroom 30 minutes after my visit started , she picked up the rubber glove safety hazard in kitchen area on floor that I was watching the glove as every employee walked over it til manager saw it. Glass around booths, fingerprints?, the wood work getting worn and beat looking ... a wipe of stain will fix... see pics Food arrives in bag, no fork? No receipt. I had to ask for a printed receipt so I could include in my analysis and review. It has a time stamp on it. receipt shows it was 30+ minutes since food ordered. No benches outside to sit on other than the tables to be served on. Should have a counter eating area like a the Fenway store or like Joe and Nemo's where I ate my hot dogs as a kid at the counter by window. I Leave ,eat across street under tree on a telephone box as appeared I was not allowed seating without ordering table inside... Open the big fancy bag with Red Sox labels, other labels? Fancy green printed logon cardboard boxes for burger, tots , all Wahlburgers logo? Looks expensive for 3 mins til going in trash barrel vs. cheap wrappings ... pile of ketchup I didn't ask for , plastic non green straw for frappe. Kids starving around world and probably 2-4bucks a meal for packaging going in trash for one person only??? Where are the Wahlburgers recycling barrels? Green trashCompactors, now: First frappe was small for $6.50 Coffee flavor not strong at all and little flavor...no ice cream, watering ..., sorry Paul, Mark, Donnie; but the patty melt was a real nasty... first thing that matters in any burger is the burger itself and quality of meat, pink medium center. This was 2 Patties rather than 1 nice beefy one... both in sandwich overcooked , dry, no flavor or taste with a seasoning, sideways and half falling out. The bread was grilled way too much grease... all over my fingers... see pics...Any patty melt I had in past that is best is One nice juicy burger, sautéed chopped onions, and cheese. Not pickles, yellow secret sauce to please keep a secret. The sandwich was drenched in it ...,Th first thing burgers no taste and lower quality since when I first had one at Fenway store.I think beef quality had been was lowered for sure...then the patty melt had these awful pickles and way too many... I meant to ask for no pickles... my bad for not looking closer at menu . Then the nasty yellow mustard secret sauce dripping all over... I couldn't take it. The bacon mashed up .. see pics... gross too. I ended up pulling burgers out and eating with no flavor... might be frozen beef now? Who knows... I don't care anymore. The other stuff I dumped on parking area for birds ...Now the trash pile of cartons, bag, ketchup I used, excess napkins, frappe cup , lid... fancy labels for branding on bag... well the expensive branding adding to product costs are in the trash barrel ... see pic so much for Green operations saving the planet ? As two of the Wahlburgers now beautiful people in beautiful California living must know about Green packaging to save the planet? Anyway I hope my analysis helps to improve things as my gall bladder can't take this amount of grease. The spinach broccoli tots however were excellent and the sauce provided with them was right on point and proper flavor pattern.... The dark over fried look was unappealing and the beading might be better as a tempura batter...

Gary B.

Yelp
Food was fair to okay, order was made correctly but no table service!! Very very expensive for a hamburger restaurant !!! Things have become very wolk and Obiden economics has driven the cost to be unacceptable !! Wahlburgers needs to re-assess their way of doing business in good old taxa-chussetts !! 4 burgers fries and 4 soft drinks 100 $$ plus two of the burgers were single patty

Yelp
Have never had a bad meal there. Food is always good and the place has a great vibe. Sit at the bar and have a burger and beer. You won't be disappointed.

Yelp
Absolutely loved my experience at Wahlburgers! From the mouthwatering burgers to the friendly service by nassime, everything exceeded my expectations. Five stars all the way!

Yelp
Wahlburgers plainridge park casino. Ordered 2 cheeseburgers and they were not cooked properly. Cold and pink inside. Threw out burgers. Waste of money.

Yelp
Meh. I had eaten there in the past and it was better than this time. Before I start with my experience I want to say the service was exceptional I wish the food was too. My husband ordered the Fiesta Burger and it was nothing like it was described. What it looked like to me is 2 burgers with nothing else. It looked dry and my husband said it was dry. I ordered a plain burger with Lettuce and I expected it to be bland but this was dry and not so hot. We ordered sweet potato tots and they were cold the first time and they took them back. They were still cold on the second round too. Overall not impressed. I don't know if the cooking has been affected by the pandemic but there are many other places to go. I chose Wal burgers because they had gluten free options on their menu. As a side note I expected the staff to be masked but maybe because I am from another state this is not the norm for Massachusetts

Yelp
Great service sitting at the bar, even if it was a little rowdy with the bartender and some of the regulars. That's okay and enjoyable but far from peaceful. My daughter wanted a Wahlburger and she got a Wahlburger. Me too. Nicely cooked single patty, the original, served with the usual LTO plus pickles. Good bun, nicely formed patty. Delicious! Served with a wahlbrew (their own brand beer). I guess because I was a friendly sort, I was offered a half Fluffernuttah that the bartender made too much of for another customer. Oh, I'd have this again. Sweet and not sticky at all, made with peanut butter and marshmallow vodka. Very well blended and delicious, it tasted just like a proper fluffernutter sandwich but as a milkshake with just a little bit of a kick. Yum!

Yelp
Expensive but generally good burgers. Great fries and shakes. Has active bar crowd. Nice dining area and bar has waitress/waiter service. The eating area by the self service burger area is nice

Yelp
We came in thinking we'd order to go; however, was offered outdoor seating as we arrived (we had no idea the patio was open as Yelp only states takeout). Our server was kind and offered her suggestions for both drinks and sandwiches. We ordered the BBQ Bacon Burger (Donnie's Choice - 1/3 lb burger, white cheddar, bacon, fresh jalapenos, housemade BBQ sauce & avocado spread) for $8.50, Crispy Chicken Sandwich (Paul's own crispy fried chicken recipe served with fresh tomato, shredded lettuce, pickles & ranch dressing) for $7.50, Tater Tots for $3.50 and Thin Crispy Onion Rings for $3.50. The BBQ bacon burger was average. Surprisingly, the ranch in the crispy chicken sandwich was not overpowering (typically do not enjoy ranch dressing). The tater tots were amazing -- they were crispy and well seasoned. I noticed the crispy onion rings' one of their popular items and had to try it myself -- certainly unique and tasty! Knocking off one star because our order took extremely long. The server did not inform us of the delay; the table beside us told us they've been waiting for over 45 minutes for their food as they arrived before us.

Yelp
Nice sit down for local ambience!! Easy family oriented! Great Salmon salads. Place for those who like burgers!!! A few glasses of beer. Nice deserts. No big fuss to worry about!!! Close to home !!! Walking distance!!! On the waterfront!!! Get the air and the view of Boston harbor from within the Hingham harbor!!! A view to Weymouth!

Yelp
Wahlburgers is a very wasteful restaurant , I had ordered a chocolate milkshake!! And because they made to much of it, I had asked for the rest of what they made .. n because "its in their policy" they just threw it away . So sad to see!!! Especially with today's prices on everything I just think this is a terrible policy!! N I will not be coming back to support this wasteful restaurant !!!!! This policy needs to change !!!! Very sad !!!

Yelp
Popped in on our way by. Burgers are flavorful and filling. Gluten free buns available and they taste good. Fries are gluten free as well as the tots. Fun drinks and shakes. Worth the stop

Yelp
Decided to give Wahlburgers a try since I was already at the Hingham Shipyard. It's in a great location, overlooking the marina, and they have proper precautions in place during COVID. Everyone was wearing masks and they placed us a good distance from the other guests. Hand sanitizer was available at the entrance/exit. For their menu, you scan the QR code to bring up the menu on your phone. The burgers were just alright, nothing special, ok for the price. The burger patties were pretty thin but still juicy and freshly made. The bbq bacon burger had a good amount of bacon on it but I wish the cheese was more melted. If you're hungry, you might want to try to add an extra patty. The Fiesta burger was a double patty and had a good amount of cheese on it. The tots, my favorite was the spicy cheese and bacon, the cheese sauce was good. The Parmesan truffle tots had a good truffle flavor. The bbq chicken tots were ok, good amount of toppings for the tots. I much prefer the tots over the burgers. If you're in the area, not a bad spot for a quick bite but not worth the drive if you live far.

Yelp
Are in this past Sunday when it was a bit of a warmer day, the AC IF it was working it was barely chugging. My one complaint of our visit. Thankfully when we asked for outside seating they were able to put two tables together after a smidge or eye rolling. Turns out on the hot day it was cooler outside than in I ordered the special summer burger and Lordy it was DELISH! Along with the wonderful thin onion rings and of course a cold coke. A few people in our party ordered the "Summer" burger and all loved it. Our waitress was a bit slow in coming around and had to ask a waiter to find ours for us but food wise all 5 of us were happy with the food.

Yelp
We were in the area and starving. Happy they had spread out outdoor seating we took advantage. Burgers were average, beers were delicious. It was disappointing, I had ordered a side of fries and they never came. Before when we were eating I asked one of the bus girls about my fries and she said she didn't know she wasn't our waitress. Odd response. I finished my meal and when the waitress finally came I told her to cancel the fries. She said she would have to get her manager to remove them. That was a wait too. It was just a disappointing, average experience and we wouldn't go out of our way to come again.
