Excellent food, service with unbeatable view to the marsh water. Server was prompt, polite and attentive. Got here for lunch and were seated right away ( Monday week prior to 4th of July ) Oysters PO boy was great and blackened flounder was tasty. The fries were delicious Nice background music and overall decent price in lunch menu items

Fun, fun, fun area of town with a fabulous board walk along the water. Outside open air with live music and inside seating with beautiful views. BEAUTIFUL. Each side has their own wait list. No call ahead. Our meals: Edemame: 10/10 - large portion! Shrimp and grits: 5/10 - shrimp were cooked perfectly and nice size, nice sausage, good flavor, I'm not used to orange color grits though. And, WAY too much sauce. It's a very wet dish. It's not how I like grits. Crab Cake Dinner: 5/10 - disappointing. To much breading in the recipe. French fries: FAB! Steak fry style, crunchy and soft in the center. Yum! Grits: great flavor, but were orange, too dry and are course ground. So, that means a little lumpy. Wedge Salad: 8/10 - nice cold, healthy and green lettuce. Fresh tomatoes and nice chunky blue cheese. Delish! Beautiful presentation. Sautéed spinach - cooked perfectly and nice texture with nice baby spinach. Good portion. Too much garlic. You have to really love garlic to enjoy this dish. Wait Staff - Kaitlyn was wonderful and honest about bar wait. She was kind enough to recommended we order a second drink when 1/2 through our first. I appreciate honesty over disappointment. Good job Kaitlyn. **Don't forget to tap that ❤️ at the bottom here 😀

Google
Excellently prepared fresh and well flavored food. We were seated in 10 minutes rather than 45 minutes as initially told for a party of 10 during dinner hours. Our sweet waitress Victoria provided us attentive service throughout our meal. We also had perfect lemon drop shots made with real lemon! We will definitely visit again when we are in town, thank you for an excellent experience.

Google
Had a very nice time here. Food was delicious and the view was very pretty. Couldn’t give it a full 5 stars just because the prices were a tad high. There’s a million fish restaurants in the area it’s not that much better than the rest. We ate inside which was more upscale. Patio had music and looked very fun. Would def recommend!

Google
Pros: The scenery is perfect - on the water with a short Broadway to other restaurants and a small festival area with vendors. The inside decor was charming and clean with some tables raised to have a view of the inlet. The staff is friendly and polite. The menu has several seafood choices or sushi options. Cons: None

Service was great every interaction with staff was warm, welcoming and pleasant, we made Easter brunch reservations, the brunch buffet was fantastic, very delicious fresh high quality food, lost of choices, fresh made to order Omelets, Fresh Fries Catch of the day Flounder and Prime rib was the bomb, thank you Wahoos. Also restrooms were very clean even though Wahoo's was very busy.

Love love love this place. My son and I stop here every time we visit the area. Great location right on the water. Sometimes, I stop for a beer at the outside bar or sit down and have dinner inside. You can dock your boat and walk right up. We always have great service, and i love everything that i have tried here. The food is delicious, and the bartender makes the drinks well. It always looks clean. The decor is wonderful and I love the atmosphere. Great spot to take friends. Thank you so much we will come back soon. Parking is paid and reimbursed in the restaurant. Looks like a great spot for events as well.

Google
My Grandson chose this location because he liked the name. We were NOT disappointed. We had a spectacular window view of the Marsh Walk at Murrells Inlet. The dining room is spacious. The service was excellent, and helpful in our knowledgeable in our choices. The food was excellent, with large portions. Oddly enough, our daughter and her date had left an hour before us with intentions of going to a different restaurant. We wound up at the same place! They were also quite satisfied.

Yelp
We had the good fortune to stop at Wahoo's for a light dinner and enjoyed a couple specialty sushi rolls - the Wahoo Roll and Sunset Roll - a beer and a very good Key Lime Pie that our excellent server, Richard, recommended for dessert. We enjoyed all this on the patio facing the Marshwalk and the full moon was shining on the water in front of us. In addition to good food, a lovely setting and excellent service, we really enjoyed the guitarist / vocalist entertainment. It all made for a really nice experience, and we'd recommend Wahoo's if you're in or around Murrells Inlet - be sure to ask for Richard!

Yelp
Service was great, view wonderful Food very sub par Three salad plate was miserable raw looking shrimp and cheese paste The sushi was sad too Sorry it seems to have gone downhill

Yelp
Just stopped in to grab a bite with my daughters and had to get up and leave after we sat and waited to be greeted at our table for 20 minutes. Smelled like the food is good. I'll never know. One star for smells.

Yelp
It was the worst food experience I've had in Murrells Inlet. Ordered the flounder and fries. The flounder was dry, flavorless, and overcooked. The fries tasted as though they were cooked in old oil: limp and soggy. While the server was kind and attentive, she only offered to "let the kitchen know." This is not a restaurant I would recommend. There are much better in the area.

Yelp
We were told by some locals to check out wahoos fish house, we were already at dead dog and we walked the inlet marsh walk and ran into this bar at the end. It had live entertainment and looked like a fun place so we stopped by. In the picture of two drinks on this review you'll find the I let mai tai and the strawberry lemon drop martini. The one on the left is Inlet mai tai and the one on the right is a strawberry lemon drop martini which seems to be a Myrtle beach specialty. The decor / ambiance of the place was very Beach-like, tropical tiki sort of vibes. The singer was singing reggae, and he did it quite well actually! We were surprised, it sounded super authentic. The drinks were both delicious, the music was great and we had a fun time.

Yelp
The live music makes this venue an 8 out of 10, but the food was okay. The she crab soup was good on the first bite, but the more I ate the less I liked it. Probably a 3.5 out of 10. The hot crab dip had delicious bread and I liked the dip. Something was a little sour in it but I still liked it. I'd probably order it again. The shrimp and grits were really good. I like the texture of the sauce with the grits. The shrimp were large and plentiful. The addition of the bacon was what made the flavor stand out. 7.5 out of 10. All in all it was good food, but not great. The ambiance was nice with the live music and there was a nice view. I'll be back

Yelp
We went to see a band and have dinner. Band was GREAT, the bar was very crowded but the bartenders did a great job keeping up and providing great service. The fried flounder was very large and good, as was the cheesburger. The Po Boy was underwhelming, the roll was dry and their wasn't that many fried shrimp but the fries were awesome.

Yelp
We were promptly sat down at a large booth for six people. Our young waitress came over right away to get our drink order. She didn't clear any of the other 4 table settings so we pushed them to the side. She also didn't know if they had blue cheese olives, which was fine, but also didn't offer to check. We ordered a rainbow sushi roll for an app we were given a plastic condiment cup with lid full of soy sauce. For a nice restaurant I thought this was tacky. The sushi was okay, but mostly imitation crab on the inside. The fish was so thin and barely there. I ended up ordering the scallops with cheese grits. I specifically told our waitress that I wanted them lightly cooked then I said I don't want them over cooked. Well guess what? When they came they were over cooked, maybe fine for someone who doesn't eat them often and doesn't know how to cook them, but I do and I want my scallops to be like butter. The grits and the red pepper sauce I also thought were bland and also didn't go together. I sent the dish back and got the special with grouper. The grouper was good, over seasoned for my liking but cooked well. The potatoes were good but on the verge of being over mixed. Being red potatoes they tend to get a little gummy when over mixed. The asparagus was super salty and they didn't trim the bottoms so they were woody you can see in the pic. Mine were also gritty, they probably didn't was them and if they did it wasn't well. My husband got the same dish and the consensus was the same.
google avatar

Yelp
Party of four tonight. Sat rather quickly and drinks are flowing. Two of us went with the fresh Grouper special which was awesome. I had the Salmon over grits and shrimp and the wife had a filet mignon, she didn't care for it too much. Seemed like a bad cut...very veiny. Yuck! All in all, the fried wings as apps were the same as Walmart...probably same vendor. Delicious...big fan!!! The wing hot sauce was probably Franks Wing Sauce...very flavorful. Great spot on the Marshwalk.

Yelp
Ordered take out today and it was packaged and presented well. Our meals were very good ! I had the blackened deep sea scallops and grits over asparagus. The scallops and shrimp were huge and delicious. The asparagus was cooked perfect except for two of my pieces had hard white ends that I had to remove myself. We also ordered the shrimp and grits which my husband said was delicious and the crab dip was also very good . We also ordered the shrimp and pasta with marinara sauce and my sons loved his dish. Ordering online was easy and the service was friendly and on time. The restaurant was very nice inside according to my husband who picked up the meal!

Yelp
There are a lot of screens in this restaurant. Food is good. The service is great. Our waitress was very nice. No ambience

Yelp
We had a reservation for 9. On entering the restaurant, we were not greeted by either of the two hostesses, who sort of ignored us. We approached the desk, and after giving the name on our reservation, we were led to our table. Not one word was uttered by the hostess. At this point, I was thinking the service was going to be bad. Within a minute of being seated, a bright and breezy waitress came to take our drink orders and go over the fresh catch of the day. She was upbeat, friendly and was able to quickly answer a couple of questions about menu items. Drinks ordered as were the various appetizers. They both arrived quickly, accompanied by a delightful basket of assorted bread rolls. I ordered the fried green tomatoes that came with 3 large blackened shrimp. While they were in no way greasy, the tomatoes were under seasoned and the shrimp a tad overcooked. Two in our party had sushi and said it was very good. Another had the she crab soup which was thick and creamy with a good amount of crab. The oysters were large and very fresh. The shrimp and grits came as a massive bowl, loaded down with shrimp, and I was told it was excellent. Other entrées ordered by our group included steaks, scallops over cheese grits, lobster tails and a house salad with grilled shrimp. Judging by the clean plates all enjoyed their choices. A couple of minor negatives, were were not offered refills of our cocktails or iced water, although those having soft drinks were replenished often. The Wahoo Fish house sits over, looking the marsh and the tables at the windows are best, so if this is your preference, I recommend making a reservation and requesting a table there. We arrived at 4.30, and it was not that busy, but the parking area was full already. The vacant lot next door was offering parking for $5.00, which the restaurant will refund after dining. Make sure to keep the parking ticket. Two other points worth mentioning, by 6.00pm the restaurant is hopping, with guests lining up to dine. Secondly, like most places in a tourist area, the prices are not cheap. So if you're not prepared to pay $60 plus per person, you best look elsewhere. Would I eat here again, I certainly would.

Yelp
We ended up at Wahoo's for dinner and were not disappointed! The crab cakes were delicious and paired with some homemade coleslaw. The other dish was their tuna special for that night which was devoured by my husband. The service was fast and friendly. There's live music playing out at the bar which you can still hear pretty well at your table inside too. I'd have zero second thoughts about returning again!

Alison B.

Yelp
We love going to Wahoos - great drink menu, great sushi, love eating on the deck and listening to all the awesome local music!

Yelp
visited for lunch. service was a 4. Food a 3. Ambience 5. so I'm giving a 3 because it's all about the food. I ordered shrimp & grits - too cheesy for me. the grits got lost in the cheese. although a chefs choice, it was ok for me but disappointing. husband ordered cheeseburger. he was happy with the burger. I found the restaurant to be okay. probably will not visit again although the dinner menu may be better.

Yelp
Wonderful place very nice staff great food great service great scenery would be back soon

Yelp
Took my wife here for a date night and it didn't disappoint. I could tell they were under staffed based on our wait to get seated and the wait to get our food. But it was all worth it. The staff was so nice and great with communication. Once we got the good, it was amazing. I had the best salmon I've ever had. We will definitely be back.
google avatar

Yelp
You can decide if you want to sit outside or inside. Wherever there is room at the bar, that is where we will be. He started with a cup of corn crab chowder. Since I was getting a meal, I just watched him eat his chowder. For dinner I ordered the shrimp and grits. He stayed with an appetizer- bacon wrapped scallops over grits. Both of our meals were delicious. For dessert, we decided on the chocolate lava cake. Everything we ate was very good.
google avatar

Barry F.

Yelp
It was so good, we ate there twice this trip. We also ate here last year, while at the beach. On the first visit I had Grilled swordfish, grilled asparagus, and smashed red potatoes, while my wife had Beef tips over saffron risotto and lobster tail with drawn butter. On the second visit we had a bang bang shrimp appetizer and my wife had bacon wrapped scallops over pimiento cheese grits and I had the blackened wahoo with mashed potatoes and sautéed spinach.
google avatar

Jessica K.

Yelp
This was our first time visiting Wahoo's and we were very pleased! They have in and outdoor seating. We chose to sit inside, because it was so hot outside. The view of the marsh from inside the restaurant looks like a picture. It's absolutely beautiful. Next time I'll request to sit by the window :). We got the crab dip as an appetizer and it comes out in a super hot dish, so be careful. The dip paired with the bread was amazing. I had to be careful not to fill up too quickly. Definitely recommend! I wanted to branch out so I got the daily fresh catch special of blacked wahoo with mashed potatoes and a salad. The wahoo was delicious and seasoned perfectly. It's a whitefish, that I would compare to flounder, so not too fishy. The restaurant is beautiful inside and very well maintained. Our waiter never let our gets drinks run out. I can't wait to visit again when we're in town.

Yelp
Had a wonderful meal tonight. Started with a crab cake ( one of the best I've ever had ) then had a soup salad and crème boule wow it was delicious. Our server was very good friendly fun and did an excellent job serving us. All this plus the decorations were amazing! Beautiful

Mary D.

Yelp
Please see photo. The Flounder Po-boy was awful, but the fries were good so it's not like I went hungry. Was with a lunch party so I didn't complain because I didn't want to spoil the mood.

Yelp
Have nothing but great things to say about Wahoo's. My friend suggested it and since they had a really nice view I decided to propose to my fiancé. We started with the coconut shrimp with the marmalade dip then had the sirloin with the stuffed shrimp. Food was excellent! Atmosphere was perfect. Since I proposed Wahoo's actually gave us two free glasses of champagne! They were so great and accommodating it just made the moment even better! Service was top notch! We'll be back
google avatar

Yelp
It pains me to knock this place down to 3 star's. It used to be a favorite haunt of mine. Good bands, good service, good food. The food was still good but everything else was horrible. Waited about an hour at our table outside before even getting a drink. Meanwhile table's that sat after us got drinks and apps. Do better!
google avatar

Don W.

Yelp
Service was great, food was just ok. That's probably on me for ordering the fried shrimp, instead of going for the peel and eat.
google avatar

Robert M.

Yelp
Always so good and the waitress was by far the best with a party of 10 very friendly divided check with no problem would always go back for sure
google avatar

Althea S.

Yelp
Perfect lunch spot after the dolphin watching cruise. Great view. Sun shade, cooling fans and fantastic food!! Staff was friendly and helpful. Atmosphere & view from the deck was great. We enjoyed blackened salmon with chopped salad and flounder with fries and slaw. Excellent!!!! So light and fresh. Perfectly prepared. Our waitress was really kind. Southern hospitality definitely showed.
google avatar

Tabitha R.

Yelp
Seating options are awesome. The place has a nice feel to it for sure. The food just was not worth the money in my opinion. I got the crab cake dinner and the only thing that was good were the sides. My boyfriend got the filet with two sides and got charged extra for choosing sides? The waitress never said anything about surcharges for sides. His filet was over cooked and his red potato side was VERY dry. With so many options in the area I don't think we would return.
google avatar

Kim H.

Yelp
The food was atrocious. Biggest waste of money I think I have spent in my life. I have never not been able to eat the food I ordered. Overly salted to the point you could not taste anything else. Told the waiter and he agreed and said that others have also complained about the same thing as well. Total waste of food and money.
google avatar

Marilyn G.

Yelp
My daughter and I ate here I had the fried Seafood platter which was huge with oysters , shrimp, flounder , stuffed crab, fries and slaw ,the hush puppies were really different then most as they had pieces of corn in them and were served with strawberry butter that was delicious. My daughter had a bowl of she crab soup, a Cesar salad that was huge and an order of fried green tomatoes that were topped with grilled shrimp. Everything was delicious we had a window table that overlooked the inlet and the restaurant is very pretty inside but a bit noisy . I live in Murrells Inlet but had not been to this restaurant for about 7 years just for the fact that we have soooooo many restaurants to eat at in our area . This was a lovely evening meal and I was glad my daughter was treating me because it is pricy. My seafood platter was 32.00 the fried green tomatoes were 13.00 and I believe my daughters she crab soup was 12.00 . So it is a nice restaurant for a special occasion, No early bird menu here! But it does have an outdoor bar deck with a band that is very popular . So if you want to have a delicious meal this local who has been to eat at every Murrells Inlet restaurant rec commends this one and we did make reservations here for dinner.
google avatar

Nicole W.

Yelp
Great night out here. Service was friendly and the view is great. I had the catch of the day and it was fantastic. I was super happy with my meal and will come again for sure.
google avatar

Richard C.

Yelp
The Menu says Fish and Chips comes with two sides. But when you order they say the Chips are one of the sides. I know it doesn't seem like a big deal but this is deceptive. I won't eat here again because when I politely asked about that I was looked at like I should just automatically understand it. Change the menu or treat your customers better. THE LITTLE THINGS MAKE A RESTAURANT

Gene C.

Yelp
Had a wonderful thanksgiving meal there today. The food was excellent, the staff excellent. A beautiful setting. I have been going there for years and the meals never disappoint. I strongly recommend it as one of the of the top places to eat in the inlet. Asf for Ernest he is the manager and has been for years - he aims to please. 5 stars for this restaurant!
google avatar

Scott T.

Yelp
The food presentation is good and it taste good, but compared to other inlet restaurants it's average. The biggest thing hurting them is the unfriendly staff. With less money to spend these days on eating out It's not worth it. The views are good but you can get those for free by walking the Marsh Walk. There are much better places to spend your money.
google avatar

Ashley D.

Yelp
YUM! Shrimp lovers delight! We loved the coconut shrimp and the firecracker shrimp appetizers! The rest of the menu looked delicious but we were short on time and just needed a quick bite. Perfect stop, not overpriced, great quality and service was polite, friendly, and quick.

S. K.

Yelp
2 stars for happy hour. Not the place I remember from years past. HH 4 to 7 and at 435 we were the only people there. Both parking lots on either side were packed. Music not starting until 6pm. The rail liquors we did not recognize any of them. 5 standard lite beers in the HH list. Thinking a pass on this olace

Lori G.

Yelp
Great atmosphere, delicious food and great service! They have a wide selection of food, Portions were large and prices were very reasonable.

Yelp
We had a great dinner here lastnight. I had been to Wahoo's in the last but it has been a few years. Of course, the view is great and it's the second to last restaurant on the giant string of restaurants. This place has a tiki bar atmosphere outside. They have live music every night, too. Weeknights starting at 6 and weekends at 730. We are outside and started with the crab dip. This was not one of my favorite crab dips and it came with a loaf of cheese bread. I sound that interesting. I would eat it again, but I have had better. My friend had the shrimp Alfredo and she liked it a lot. I had the catch is the day which was wahoo-go figure! It was perfect! This new was 10/10. The chefs vegetable medley and the rice were all cooked to perfection. The server brought us some dinner rolls with a strawberry butter. This was a flavor that I don't know if I hated or loved. Very interesting! The service was great and I will be back again! Also, their sushi rolls which I did not get to taste were very unique and I would like to go back just for that.

Lisa L.

Yelp
Great service, great view, very accommodating and wonderful food. Could have skipped the fried green tomatoes, but there was enough other wonderful flavors to share.

Trina C.

Yelp
The food was amazing and the value was even better. I thought for sure that they would skimp us out on the meal for the prices but it was definitely worth it. The customer service was awesome out waitress was above and beyond. She was sooooooo kind.
google avatar

Ron P.

Yelp
Just had a delicious Thanksgiving meal at the Wahoo fish house. Everything was delicious & plenty of food.

Reg G.

Yelp
We keep trying this restaurant through the years and just can't say anything really positive about it or the food. Like many places in Murrells Inlet, it is mediocre at best. It is comfortable and tastefully decorated and the server was good. Everything is a la carte which means a side salad was $6.95 and it was warm. Their vinaigrette was TOO vinegary. Luckily, I got mine on the side. The blue cheese dressing that I asked for to replace the vinaigrette was like Dukes Mayo.... Thick, no discernible blue cheese in it. The grits in the salmon entree ($26.95) were barely warm. House wine was $6. It was cheap and cheap tasting, but hey, you sometimes gotta take a chance. The rolls were the best part of the meal. Sister Shubert's yeast dinner rolls? We are easy to please but this place is not pleasing. We are done giving it another chance.
google avatar

Pat S.

Yelp
The fried flounder was delicious but other than that the food was just okay. Not a very broad menu. Waitress wasn't very attentive. Had to ask for a refill on tea and then she didn't put any ice in it. But I was surprised that they wouldn't accept a Mastercard gift card. That could have been a problem. I think that's a bad policy. Not sure I would go back.

Robby S.

Yelp
The best scallops I have ever had. They were cooked perfectly, not overdone like almost every other scallop I've had. My wife said , is it just me, or is the meal really good. The service was fantastic as well.

Melanie D.

Yelp
After a bit of an issue with the hostess, the manager got us seated right away. Lori, our waitress was amazing! My kids loved her and she happily talked and answered all their questions! The food was by far my favorite I've had in Murrell's Inlet. If you order the shrimp and grits be prepared to share or take some home. The steak medallions and lobster tail are also absolutely delicious! High recommend!!

M I.

Yelp
Always wonderful food and service. When other restaurants provided long wait times, Wahoos accommodated our large party right away. I ordered the swordfish grilled and it was delicious. I also tried a frozen mixed drink that was fantastic.
google avatar

Elena R.

Yelp
Stopped in late afternoon yesterday and sat in the bar area for drinks and appetizers. Nice relaxed atmosphere with a great view - right on the Marsh Walk! We ordered Grouper Bites and the Shrimp Tempura Roll which weren't very good. Both were overly salty and tasted like they were cooked in old grease.

Aj B.

Yelp
View is amazing. Atmosphere is amazing. Food is a 8.4/10. Very reasonable prices and fresh food. Rolls are AMAZING. Get the calamari as an appetizer 10/10. Sushi is really good and the menu is very diverse with lots to pick from. Overall I'd give it a 9.2/10
google avatar

Phil H.

Yelp
What a great stop for lunch. On the quiet end of Murrells' inlet. They had fresh grouper bites that were definitely fresh and battered perfectly. If you are eating here for dinner today be sure and have some! Kids menu and live guitar music too!

Yelp
Finally tried this place. Sushi is awesome and highly recommend trying the nightly specials (we split them after sushi). Always delicious.
