I came all the way from San Francisco, to have a bad luck with this restaurant, honest to God, I throw the food worth of 56 💵 plus 4 💵 tips, in the Garbage. I waited 35 minutes for the order, the sad 😔 part of the story, it was my wife birthday we are old people. I will add extra information today 01/03/2025... The owner is a thief, simply a thief, he and his wife swindle me for 56 dollars 💵 plus 4 💵 tips. The next day after purchasing that food, my wife said return the food, and don't put it in the garbage, God will never bless you, so I went to the owner and his wife, explaining the situation, a lot of customers were witnessing the conversation, unfortunately, we trusted those thieves. we work for San Francisco Sheriff office, so we are not accusing them , but stating facts. I hope some future customers, be careful dealing with such a restaurant owners. Leonard Giovanni.

Airy and sparkly clean Mon and Pop Chinese Restaurant. Open kitchen right behind cashier so you can easily see and smell all the delicious action. Must mostly do takeout since there were only 3 tables for 4 people and one table for 2 people inside. Pretty diverse menu of meats, noodles, rices and soups. Done in a variety of techniques.

Good portion, enough for 2 people, got full with half the plate..not bad for $16 and some change...shrimp was pretty plain though,, could have been seasoned better...other than that, good food

Ordered the Special Plate with Sweet and Sour Pork. It was tasty and hit the spot. Good portion too for the price; two people could even share one plate. The employees were nice too.

The food was disgusting super oily and hard to chew I feel like they refry everything and it gets hard. We had to throw everything away. It was really bad.We wasted almost $70 first time going there never again

Great place to get your Asian food craving! The atmosphere was warm and was super tasty and plentiful!

I ordered the Chinese style chicken chow mein. It wasn’t bad but the chicken literally had no flavor. It tastes like it got boiled in water and it completely took away from the dish when it is supposed to add to. It tastes as white as it looks, there is no kind of seasoning; I had to start eating around the chicken!

We decided to make a quick pitstop at Wah's Kitchen for lunch. As we stepped through the doors, we were immediately welcomed by the workers there. We were having a hard time deciding what dishes to choose from, but they were very patient with us and even recommended a few for us to try. In the end, we ordered the orange chicken with rice. It didn't take long for our meals to come out and the portion sizes were very generous. They provided exceptional service, the food looked great, and smelled amazing. I would recommend this restaurant to all.

Fresh food, always affordable prices. You can call in and place an order ahead of time. I personally get either the special plate or the lunch combo. They have a family meal for bigger occasions or an easy dinner for the family. Quiet and calm setting. I have gone to this spot since I was in high school. That was over ten years ago. The owners are so friendly & have seen the communities kids grow before their eyes eating this delicious food. Highly recommend stopping by if you are in the area.

First time here and will definitely be back. Huge portions. Delicious food. Pan fried noodles and pork fried rice are my faves. Has a few tables inside to sit at. Full parking lot. 10/10

The dynamic dual of this kitchen is here every day prepping and pumping out the best Chinese food in the area. Their portions are satisfying for a family or leftovers for a couple of days. Oh, and the food is prepared fresh to each order nothing sits around over here they take your order and give you what you want. You could eat there if you needed to, but you want to take this home plop yourself in front of a nice movie and enjoy.

We ordered 3 items (chicken chow mien, orange chicken and combination fried rice) the appearance "looked" great until we served ourselves, the rice was mushy, along with/ the chow mein which I asked for extra crispy and according g to her after 7 minutes the noodles get mushy, I order my noodles like this all the time .. the chicken was raw or definitely undercooked .. vegetables included.. we called and the lady that answered said (exact words) were if you don't like the food don't come back... Like who says that? There wasn't even a how can I fix this, nothing! I do not recommend this place at all... So unprofessional ! I'm not gonna even rate this!

Ordered takeout, for my first time here, and was NOT disappointed. The portions were HUGE and my Curry Beef Tomato chow mein was, hands down, the best over ever had. Grandson loved his teriyaki chicken and the broccoli beef did not disappoint. Definitely my new favorite Chinese spot

3/01/24 Getting lunch! 2 chicken teriyaki bowls ordered. The worker was kind and said it would be ready in 15 minutes. I went in to get it shortly later. Restaurant is small. Definitely set for pick up and go. Greeted by nice worker & order was ready! Paid for it with well wishes! Lunchtime! My chicken teriyaki bowl was LARGE! Really DELICIOUS & flavorful! Fresh veggies come with it too! Great! Mother felt the same! Good service & chicken GREAT teriyaki bowls! Highly recommended!

The fried rice here is so delicious! It's very authentic. Not flooded with soy sauce. Looks like they do mostly take out but they do have some tables. I'd definitely recommend this place!

I especially loved the garlic chicken and fried rice, which was cooked to perfection. I will definitely be coming back and highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a great meal!

Always consistent. Love the garlic sauce they have gives it all a very garlicky awesomeness taste! Orders made to your liking!

Delicious and lots of food and affordable! Service was quick and they are quite busy during lunch hours. Call and order in advance.

I had chop suey, chow mein, potstickers, and rice, it was 30.00. The food was good, it is more of a take out restaurant, they only have 3 tables. The potstickers taste good but poorly made.

Ordered food to go, by the time I got there it was ready. It was good, nice big portions for the wah's dinners. Good prices, fed all 6 of us with plenty of left overs with 2 dinners

This is one of the best Chinese food restaurants in Fresno. The noodles are thick and flavorful in the Chow Mein, the sliced pork is tender and delicious, the sweet and sour pork is crunchy and has an excellent orange sweet sauce, and the rice is very good. These are the parts of the special plate I bought recently for $10. It's near my house so I eat there often. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND Wah's!

Love the food here! Generous portions and they have the good ole Chinese takeout down to a TEEE!!! The owners are the cooks so u know it's only the best of the best!! I always look forward to their food every time I'm here and I'm here a lot lol

We used to come here all the time years ago and went again today (8-25-22) to try it out for lunch. It was so flavorful and delicious! The prices are incredible. Very reasonable for the amount of food they give ....which is a lot! We ordered the food to go and the restaurant was clean and looks it must have been remodeled recently from when I used it come here. It looks great! The outside has been remodeled too. Very nice and friendly people working there. We will definitely be back.

Ordered the Chinese style pork chow mein and a side of teriyaki sauce but this was not it. The noodles were soggy, slimy, and tasted old/reheated. The juices or whatever sat at the bottom of everything making it soggier. Their seasoning reminds me of the little ramen packets... The pork had no flavor and was dry. The staff was rude as well so that didn't help. The teriyaki sauce is REALLY sweet too, just as a heads up. I was excited to try this place because they're down the street but it was a huge disappointment. Not worth their lunch special price.

good food but the hours of operation is not correct as they advertise. really wanted their food. got there a little after 8 and they were closed even tho they close at 9

This restaurant is amazing. I've been going here for a few years because it is in walking distance of me as long as you're not picky with vegetables, the food is amazing. Anything you get is guaranteed to be good. The services wonderful and if you want Chinese food for an extremely cheap price go to wah's kitchen

We love Wah's. I've need getting the special since I was a kid in high school 40 yrs ago. Great price for a lot of food. I love their chow main.

So this happened today...‍ I go to Wah's Kitchen this evening to pick up some Chinese food so I have something good to eat at home when watching The Matrix Resurrection and I run into my very first problem ever. It's true that new owners have new standards but when it comes to simple requests, the customer should receive what their asking for. I asked them if they had white mushrooms in which the lady responded, "yes" to me. I then asked her to place some mushrooms in some shrimp fried rice for me. Her response was that they don't do that. So I told her the chef always does it for me, she then said that we are under new ownership. I said I know that, I normally come by during early afternoon to order my food and the chef does it for me. She remained obstinate on her stance about adding some mushrooms onto my order of shrimp fried rice. Unbelievable! I told her I eaten at this restaurant since high school (30 years). She told me it did not matter. I did not want to argue with her so I respected what she said but was very disappointed that she could not grant such a simple request. So from this moment on, Wah's Kitchen will be off my Chinese Food radar. What a lack of customer service! I hope she enjoys those mushrooms she saving for whatever she's saving them for! #DissappointedToTheMax

I've been going here for takeout since I was a FSU Freshman living in my fraternity house up the road in 1974. Not the original owners but they're a couple from China and are good, hardworking, friendly folk. The food isn't what I would call "gourmet" but it is good, fresh, affordable and most orders will make 2 meals. I enjoy it as do my Teens. Our faves are individual Lemon Chicken Plates and Mandarin dinners (2 minimum orders, we get 3). Dine with confidence. Hungry Joey says, "Check it out!"

Ordered take out, arrived and it was ready. The price wasn't bad less than $10 with a large drink for lunch. I got the special plate with sweet and sour pork. I got home and dug in. The sweet and sour sauce tasted a little different to me. It wasnt what I was expecting. The more I ate, the better it got. The fried rice was nothing like what I've gotten from other restaurants before. It was literlly just fried rice. No veg, meat etc.. it wasn't bad, but not great either. The noodles were your standard pan fried noodles with bean sprouts and sauce on top there were a few slices of pork on top, but they were just meh. On the whole, I dont think the sweet and sour pork won me over, but everything else was ok. This is not gourmet dining, but will do when craving Chinese on a budget.

I asked for beef and broccoli w fried noodles and rice. They sloppily put my rice under the beef and broccoli which made it all soggy. Rice tasted horrible as well. Meat was super chewy. They give you a lot but what's the point if ur gonn be lazy and sloppy w the food and ruin the experience for the customer

Chinese takeout with fantastic prices and serving sizes. Inflation will be in your stomach rather than on the bill. The owners are very sweet and the food is wonderful. We go every week. Don't try to go too late, as they're not always open if it was an especially slow day.

They give you so much food! Easily feed 3 people. Reasonable lunch special which is what we always get!

Not good. When I was a kid (30-40 years ago now) my parents would only get Chinese food from two places in Fresno: Fung's and Wah's. Fung's is apparently still operating but way too far of a trek for us from North Fresno now (Cedar and Butler, roughly 30 minute drive). Wah's has apparently remained open all these years as well - much closer to us, same location in the Headliner shopping center at First and Barstow. But my parents stopped going there way back in the 90's. Tonight I learned why. We ordered plain pan fried noodles, BBQ pork and chicken lo mein: - The "pan fried" noodles were just flavorless, boiled noodles that maybe spent 30 seconds or so in a wok for color. - The BBQ pork was dry, flavorless and just boring overall. - The chicken lo mein was just horrible, to be honest. Again, boiled noodles with boiled chicken pieces. No seasoning or flavor whatsoever. Unfortunately, a lot of this ended up in the dog bowl. When asked, the two "front" employees there said that the restaurant had remained under the original ownership since the beginning. But it was nothing like I remember as a kid (same for my dad). So sad to see a great family tradition like Wah's fall this far over the years. I expected so much more but was disappointed. Times change, I suppose. We'll be sticking with China Chef from now on.

Wah's never disappoints. The food is consistently delicious, and the portion sizes are generous. I go to Wah's every time I visit Fresno, and my parents who live there, are frequent customers. I call ahead to place my order to reduce the wait time, as everything is made to order. It is pretty much take out only.

Always have an amazing time eating here, Always get good and friendly service. The food is piping hot even on the drive home and the freshest tasting veggies.

Being a fan of war wonton soup I've had it from many restaurants and this place has the best I've ever had. I've ride some of their other dishes and they were good with the exception of their egg foo young which is inevitably hard and burned on the outside. I'm still giving them 5 stars because they are that good - just skip the egg foo young.

Good old style Chinese food. Nothing fancy, but does satisfy the taste for fried shrimp and pan fried noodles. We have ordered takeout a lot over the last year and Wah's NEVER got an order wrong! Not even when we ordered a massive amount of dishes for my mom's 83rd birthday. I don't know about y'all, but in the dark days of the pandemic, it was especially crushing to come home only to discover your heart's desire is missing Thanks Wah's for never letting us down.

Was craving some Chinese food,I seen it was just down the street and spent over $50 and the food was not worth what I paid. My family did not want to eat it. I was really excited hoping it was going to be great but it was sadly not as good as we thought. One thing I did enjoy myself was the friends jumbo shrimp. I would get that again

Surprised how much I liked this place. It's affordable but it's also good. A friend recommended it to me and I'd say it was a good recommendation.
