Delicious seven course dinner with several tasty bits from the chef. Paired with a very well chosen selection of wine. A visit at this one star restaurant is totally worth the visit. Eautiful old building, very comfortable and stylish interior and fantastic food. The staff was super welcoming and made our evening memorable. We missed informing them about preferring vegetation meals and the were still able to serve perfect food for a discounted price. Thanks a lot for having us.

Das Waidwerk befindet sich in einem Nebenraum im Gasthaus Rottner. Bei dem Gebäude selbst handelt es sich um ein Fachwerkhaus, dementsprechend sind die Decken etwas niedriger, was jedoch die Atmosphäre im Gastraum unterstützt. Der Gastraum ist angenehm übersichtlich und bei unserem Besuch fanden in Summe zehn Gäste ausreichend Platz. Das gesamte Personal war aufmerksam und freundlich. Die lockere und dennoch professionelle Art war eine schöne Kombination. Das 7-Gang-Menü konnte geschmacklich absolut überzeugen. Bei der Präsentation der einzelnen Gerichte wurde immer wieder das Thema Natur aufgegriffen. Die Desserts waren nicht „klassisch süß“ und somit eine tolle Abwechslung. In Summe ein rundherum gelungener Abend, weshalb wir uns schon auf den nächsten Besuch freuen!

Das Waidwerk ist mein absoluter Favorit für Fine Dining in Nürnberg. Ich gehe seit 2020 1-2x im Jahr im Waidwerk essen. Über die ganze Zeit hinweg liefert Valentin Rottner und sein Team eine kulinarische Erfahrung ab, die für mich eher auf einem 2-Stern als 1-Stern Niveau spielt. Zudem ist die Weinbegleitung die beste, die ich im Fine Dining je erlebt habe und schlägt die Nürnberger Konkurrenz mit Leichtigkeit. Was ich zudem sehr schätze, ist die stringente Linie im Menü, der äußerst aufmerksame und zuvorkommende Service sowie das gemütliche Ambiente.
