Lived here for a year before my company relocated me back to the mainland. Nikki and Dayanna are the best managers and are very personable and kind. They take the time to get to know you, your family and your pets and they’re very quick to respond to anything you need. Nikki and Dayanna, thank you for everything you did for me and my puppy Charlie Brown. Your kindness makes all the difference. Me and Charlie say Mahalo and A Hui Hou.

Apartment are nice but getting in touch with the company that manages the property is next to impossible. Regardless of when you call it goes to voicemail, and they never responded. Not worth the hassle.

Lived here for a year, Nikki and Madison were great the entire time. They respond very quick to any problems you may be experiencing and clearly care about your well being. Very friendly and reassuring. I would recommend Walina to anyone

We moved here from WV, and our contact Nikki handled everything for us online before we got here. She came in on a holiday weekend to make sure we were taken care of. The apt was EXACTLY as described. NO SURPRISES!! Mgmt has been very responsive to our needs and 1yr+ we couldn’t be happier!!!!

I love how personable and friendly Nikki & Madison are. Good location. Pricey-ness is expected. Nice to have a front desk to receive packages. Very nice people too!

Yelp
Super happy to have discovered this nice apartment building... the best feature is the staff, from management to maintaining the building and my home, they are always right there. Fast answers, fast care, and taking care of even my smallest concern. The apartment layouts are really nice, with recently updated (past year or so) units having a great look and feel. But what about construction nearby? It's Waikiki, construction will always be nearby! What I have found as a work from home type is the building is pretty well insulated from daytime noise and putting in an air conditioner will help. At night, this is a quiet neighborhood and I like that I can usually turn the air conditioner off and open the windows for the tradewinds. The negatives? Well, if you have pet allergies - look elsewhere! This building has lots of doggies and cats. Yes, pet smells can sometimes kick up (kitty litter in the trash!) but the management does a good job in cleaning and deodorizing... so, I notice it at times, but overall not overwhelming and never in my own pet-free home or on my lanai. Intercom also seems like a long term not working issue, so you may have to run down for any deliveries. So no lazy waiting in the apartment for dinner delivery or groceries at the door. Also, if you primarily work from home you will need to check internet options. Internet service was frankly pretty awful my first month - forget about using Zoom or Teams level awful - but that is starting to change giving me optimism. The pluses? Great apartment layouts. Close to a lot. Quiet (okay, at night vs construction daytime). Superb building staff. Nice and considerate neighbors. Clean and plentiful laundry room. Efficient elevator. Walking distance of just about everything and The Bus down the block to everywhere. Great nearby restaurants and takeout to fit most budgets.

Yelp
Next month I will have lived at Waikiki Walina for 1 year. I give my time here 5 stars for the following reasons The grounds are kept clean and pet droppings free. Tenants respect quite times. In the year I've lived here I've seen only 3 bugs in my apartment. Remember this is Hawaii and bugs do exist but there is personal responsibility involved in keeping your apartment clean. If you don't clean you're likely to see bugs, as you would anywhere. The maintenance staff responds quickly to any issues and are respectful and friendly when they are working in your unit or on the grounds. Nik, the manager, has been at her position here for over 10 years. As a former landlord myself, I know the difficulties dealing with tenants on a daily basis can pose. Niki deserves a 5 star rating for her professionalism and her compassion for those struggling during the pandemic. When I faced a personal victory she stood and applauded me. When a faced a very difficult personal situation her door was always open. Madison, the assistant manager is very helpful and knowledgeable and always ready to help. Many of you reading this will be coming from the mainland and renting online as I did. I can assure the experience will be a good one. The one draw back is the construction of a multi unit complex on the south side of the building which management has no control over. While the benefits will be great once it's completed, it does pose some noise issues. When I was bothered by it I was immediately offered a unit on the other side of the building and now I rarely hear anything. For those that work outside the home it shouldn't be an issue because construction only occurs during weekday working hours.

Yelp
I had left the island for a year and a half and I was moving back and needed to find a place to rent. Firstly, I needed a place that would allow dogs and secondly, I had hoped to find a place that had been renovated or some what updated. I had toured Walina Apartments many years ago before they were renovated but ended up going somewhere else at that time. Coming back to the island I had seen ads for Walina on Craig's list showing the beautifully renovated units and I was excited to get the application process rolling. All the units are studios, there is a nice elevator and hallways to access the units (not a walk up building). Since I was out of state my hubby and I completed the application process online. It was easy to follow and were happy that a unit was available when we needed to move in. The unit we were moving to had nice grey wood vinyl plank flooring, white and grey granite counters in the kitchen and bathroom. There was no oven but had a glass top 2 burner stove, stainless steel fridge and built in microwave. The cabinets were updated cherry and the bathroom was updated with a rain shower head and nice tile. The unit was small, 360 sqft, but we sold everything to come back to Hawaii so we didn't have much stuff. We were excited to put down a deposit electronically to hold the apartment. So moving day had come, we arrived on Oahu and ubered over to the building to sign the lease and get the keys. The leasing office is just inside the front door and I was greeted with a smile by Joanna who got all the paperwork sorted. The building hallways were clean and smelling good. I was happy to find there was a garbage shoot and the elevator was pretty quick. Everything in the unit was the way it looked in the photos. The only thing we needed to have taken care of was the light bulb being replaced over the stove in the microwave. I talked with Nikki in the leasing office and she was so friendly and attentive. She said she would schedule the maintenance request and Randy came to replace the bulb within a couple hours. We have had a great experience living at Walina apartments. There is a laundry room in the basement that works with a card that you load money onto, no quarters thankfully. We have neighbors next to us but we never hear any noise from them. The leasing office and main hallway was recently renovated and look beautiful. I walk the dog multiple times a day and every time I see Nikki, Madison or Randy they always are friendly and nice. The residents in the building have also been so kind, always looking out for each other and offering to help. I definitely feel the aloha here even though we are in the city. We are looking to renew our lease and I talked to Madison in the leasing office. She has been so friendly and informative about our options. I know with Nikki and Madison we are in good hands. They genuinely care about the building and the tenants. I highly recommend Walina Apartments for someone with a pet that wants a renovated, safe studio apartment in Waikiki!

Yelp
Madison is a leasing agent for Waikiki Walina apartments and was incredibly helpful in assisting me in locating a residence in a hurry. I would highly recommend Madison.

Yelp
Honestly the management is nice unless you do something that breaks lease agreement then they ignore you. Their washers and dryers are constantly breaking, usually only two work at a time. They have a bad cockroach problem even after they spray your apartment. The elevator is down at least once a month even after replacing the transformer. Old building, by the end of your lease you'll have broken drawers that weren't put in properly. Some weirdos that live in the building. Lots of dogs, some are aggressive which makes getting in the elevator a chore sometimes. Thank god they have a stair access.

Yelp
My Wife & I are prospect tenants for Cirrus Asset Management here in Honolulu at their Kanekapolei Property; I would have to say what an outstanding JOB of Professionalism on behalf of Nikki Madison & Jennifer (located at cirrus corporate office) This Team has made the process of dealing with a Property Management Company Wonderful! They answer all questions and or concerns to detail and at the same time the awareness of vetting possible tenants is reassuring to all parties involved. My Wife & I have lived in Waikiki for years & Moving unfortunately is stressful whether it's by choice or owners are selling the property...To be able to live in an iconic Waikiki Beach landmark Building which has been remodeled would be Absolutely beyond Stoke!

Yelp
DO NOT MOVE HERE. After 60 days of a broken elevator, (THE ONLY ELEVATOR in the building) a flooded basement laundry room since I moved in, bug infestations, smoking in the building being ignored and overlooked, glass shower doors being replaced with curtain rods, uncaring management and a laundry list of other issues, it is time to leave this review. At one time, this was a great place to live but in the past few months, things have gone downhill. Nikki in the office is passive aggressive and dismissive, comes in late and leaves early. She is unwilling to communicate with us about issues and in the 60 days without an elevator, a few updates have been emailed out but nothing with any real information. We are paying full rent to walk up as many as 10 flights of stairs many times a day. it is not acceptable. She has NO interest in helping. At least 10% of the people have moved out because it is so bad here. The office staff leases out their parking spot to residents for 1/2 the price but you can only park in it from 6pm-6am. They don't pay to park so why would I pay them for their spot? The whole place is a scam and I warn you to stay away. The roaches are real, they are bad and they are everywhere. They will tell you " it is Hawaii, there are bugs" no, not like this. Not a hallway full every morning. Not walking along my stained ceiling every morning. None of this is acceptable. I fully anticipate a response to this review saying they are sorry blah blah blah but they are not. Nobody here cares and they do nothing to make life here better. Pay more and find a nicer place or pay less and find a nicer place. just find a nicer place. You do not want to live here.

Yelp
How do I start, washing machines are always breaking down. Today 3 of the 4 machines are broken. Always having to walk in water from washing machine leaking. One of the 4 dryer's has been broke for several weeks. Lately elevator has been breaking down. I could go on but I believe I'm wasting my time.

Yelp
My roommate and I just moved in and we are more than pleased with the move-in process. Nikki Nashimoto was extremely helpful and friendly throughout our move. Apartments are beautiful and reasonably priced. Highly recommend! -kayci and Rachel

Yelp
Needs some improvement but Nikki is always trying. The issues are the responsibility of Cirrus and they have no sense of urgency.

Yelp
terrible communication been trying to look at a place to rent here and messages aren't returned for a minimum of 3 days if at all. 2 messages were completely ignored, one asking if i needed an appointment or if i could just swing by. never heard back so i wasted time going down there just to find nobody there in the middle of the day.

Yelp
The location is great with a grocery store 30 seconds away and a five min. walk to the beach. The renovated units here are gorgeous and really offsets the idea of having a studio. Despite being in the middle of Waikiki and surrounded by tall buildings, its surprisingly quiet. That combined with being pet friendly, laundry onsite (you can use a credit card instead of having to hunt for quarters everytime!), amazing location, being able to pay rent online instead of mailing in stupid checks, and a mgmt office onsite so you can talk to someone in person, you can't beat it!!! I had the best experience moving here especially with leasing agent Nikki and the team. She was so friendly and genuine and really listened to what I was looking for without trying to just push a higher priced unit on me. Even after moving in when I had some big problems with Spectrum installing internet/cable (ugh!), the team (Nikki, Lee, Baron) was amazing and really jumped on it asap to try to help as much as they could. Nikki went way above and beyond, even offering me a mobile hotspot so I wouldn't miss my work deadlines. Best moving experience ever!

Yelp
We moved sight unseen and could not be happier. Our agent Nikki has gone above and beyond the call of duty to make sure we got exactly the apt we wanted in the location that suited us best. Since we've moved in, she has made sure our every request is heard. And we even got an upgrade last year to a renovated apartment with brand new flooring, cabinets, etc.! We couldn't be happier!!

Yelp
I couldn't be more happy with my decision on my new Appartment. So much so I have to put a 5 star review up. I moved a lot as a kid, enough so that i hate moving as an adult. I was in the same Appartment for almost 10 years prior to this place After the covid and lockdowns my previous building totally fell apart as far as building management. I decided as soon as i was hired back to work I'd feel more comfortable in a new lease, so i mentioned this to my old landlord but much like everything else my needs were not important enough for them. Assume they took me for granted and was gonna loose a great Tennant. Anyway, long story so you can understand my context. I started looking at new places in December. Found this place online and it looked a little too good with price to be true. Sure enough though i was able to look at 2 different units the same day. Madison was really nice, and let me look on my own at both. Afterwards we talked for a little while about options. No rush or pressure, just pleasant conversation. I applied that night on the website for a unit scheduled to open up in 3 weeks, cause i didn't give my 30 days yet at old place. I was a little nervous because i had to pay a background fee which i expected but also a $100 holding fee. Again, i don't move a lot so i guess that stuff is standard. I thought that i missed out based on a email i misunderstood, but when i called and spoke to Nikki the next morning i was assured everything was on track. I moved in on time and was still a little worried this unit may not be as nice. My fear was self made because the unit was exactly the same. I blew a fuse on my first night and was fixed in 15 min. The appliances included all top of the line whirlpool. Microwave, glass stovetop, and fridge is large and new. The bathroom was also all new with a really nice tiles in shower. One problem and only one I've found so far is the shower is a "rain" kind with showerhead in the middle. Easily fixed with a $15 purchase at city mill. After being there a week i was surprised to find out they were installing all new washers/dryers in the 24 hr basement laundry room. All nice with a app for payments. Even the company they do laundry business with is great. A bunch of stuff i put in this review was about the place, but having an onsite management team like Madison and Nikki is priceless. I lost a set of keys in week # 2 and they reacted quickly to change my front door and mailbox locks. Seemed equally as concerned as i was about it. Like i said at the beginning of my review this place is great and i just want to share this experience so someone else in need can be as happy as i am. Good luck in your search but you'd be doing yourself a disservice not considering this property. Btw, they manage a few properties in waikiki so check them out. They always seem the be there 5 days a week 9-6. If not always a sign if they happen to step away.
