Yelp
Super happy to have discovered this nice apartment building... the best feature is the staff, from management to maintaining the building and my home, they are always right there. Fast answers, fast care, and taking care of even my smallest concern.
The apartment layouts are really nice, with recently updated (past year or so) units having a great look and feel.
But what about construction nearby?
It's Waikiki, construction will always be nearby! What I have found as a work from home type is the building is pretty well insulated from daytime noise and putting in an air conditioner will help. At night, this is a quiet neighborhood and I like that I can usually turn the air conditioner off and open the windows for the tradewinds.
The negatives?
Well, if you have pet allergies - look elsewhere! This building has lots of doggies and cats. Yes, pet smells can sometimes kick up (kitty litter in the trash!) but the management does a good job in cleaning and deodorizing... so, I notice it at times, but overall not overwhelming and never in my own pet-free home or on my lanai. Intercom also seems like a long term not working issue, so you may have to run down for any deliveries. So no lazy waiting in the apartment for dinner delivery or groceries at the door.
Also, if you primarily work from home you will need to check internet options. Internet service was frankly pretty awful my first month - forget about using Zoom or Teams level awful - but that is starting to change giving me optimism.
The pluses?
Great apartment layouts. Close to a lot. Quiet (okay, at night vs construction daytime). Superb building staff. Nice and considerate neighbors. Clean and plentiful laundry room. Efficient elevator. Walking distance of just about everything and The Bus down the block to everywhere. Great nearby restaurants and takeout to fit most budgets.
