DON’T GO HERE! The giant, store bought fish is not worth it. (It’s true, it’s not fresh)
We were greeted by a spider crawling over the plate before we even got our soup.
Then bugs, flies, nonstop phone ringing and in attentiveness interrupted occasionally with attitude from the staff.
No offer for drinks so I had to beg for a sake.
If you don’t speak and read Japanese fluently, just turn around because you won’t be welcomed. If you are inspired to eat from a social media post, it’s all fluff. The restaurant actually doesn’t like that because it brings in foreigners and additionally guests who may find the portion sizes too big to finish all the bland wasabi-aroma rice.
They will ridicule you if you don’t finish everything yet there is no menu nor will they explain what are the options. So, you’re left to choose from basically small, medium or large.
If you’re hungry and can speak Japanese fluently, どうぞ. If you’re not, save your yen and find another option
