"Use Wakefield as your utility spot when you’re not sure what kind of night you want to have. It could work for a weeknight date with some snacks, or a big Saturday catch-up session with friends and a couple bottles of wine. We’d even do a solo drink here while sitting at the attractive brick-lined bar." - Aimee Rizzo

"Belltown is like a bar emporium, so it can be tough to choose where to go for a date night nightcap - but Wakefield is a spot we recommend going out of your way for. Here’s the drill: Sit at a high-top table, take in the scene, and get some Afternoon Picnic cocktails made with bourbon, bitters, lemon, cava, and fig/fennel syrup." - Aimee Rizzo

"Belltown is like a bar emporium, so it can be tough to choose where to go for a nightcap - but Wakefield is a spot we recommend going out of your way for. Although since it’s only a five-minute walk away from Black Bottle, you really aren’t going too far out of your way. And a bit of fresh air builds character, after all. Here’s the drill: Sit at a high-top table, take in the scene, and get some Afternoon Picnic cocktails made with bourbon, bitters, lemon, cava, and fig/fennel syrup." - Aimee Rizzo

Went for Sunday brunch with friends. It was nice, there was no waiting so we got a seat immediately. I got the biscuit and gravy and it had a good serving size and tasted pretty well. The potatoes however was a bit let down for me to be honest. My wife took the Wakefield classic which was pretty good. We also got the avocado toast which was okay as well. I really liked the mimosa kit and the sausage patties which I took on the side.

Great brunch experience! We arrived 10 minutes before opening and the wait staff were kind enough to let us in, grab a table of our choice, and look at the menu. I ordered the chicken and waffles and my friend ordered the caprese benedict. My dish was delicious but be sure to ask for syrup on the side. My dish unfortunately came in a pool of syrup and a couple waffle pieces got soggy. My friend loved the benedict and thought the eggs were perfectly cooked.

Such and enjoyable venue with updated decor, large windows, and patio out front. The staff is also always pressings and friendly. I've had many great recommendations. Nice place to hang out with friends or a date a grab a bite. The company I've brought has always enjoyed themselves. The Food is usually pretty good depending on what you order. I've only had one item that I didn't care for out of all my visits. The moco Loco was very over cooked and chewy. Even the mushrooms. The patty was burnt. But pretty much everything else has been spot on. My only gripe about the place is the prices. It's always been a fairly high priced place for what you actually get. I'm assuming that's for the decor and views. Also I feel like their new menu is missing a few of my old favorites. Bitter sweet review indeed, but my honest opinion

We hit this little spot for Sunday brunch in late April 2023, nice ambience, attentive service…food was a bit too bland for our liking. Would still recommend a visit for the cool Seatown setting. Update: I was notified by the restaurant they no longer serve brunch, only dinner.

Really cute little cafe that serves delicious brunch meals. The wait staff were attentive and friendly. Our food came out fast and tasted great. The grilled tomato in the acacado toast and the baked potato in the tractional eggs and bacons were the best I have had.

One of the best tasting bloody Mary's around! So much flavor! The chicken and waffles were perfect. The kind where you even eat the leftover crumbs from the chicken breading!

Stopped by Wakefield for a quick brunch with a friend and really enjoyed the experience. Our server, Emily, was friendly and attentive. I had a hot toddy that was warm, strong and perfect on a chilly, drizzly morning. I had the avocado toast to eat that was filled with flavor. I’m glad we checked it out and I would definitely visit again.

Grabbed brunch with a friend and had an exceptional experience! We sat outside & had amazing service. The brunch menu has all the traditional dishes & a few unique items. The Avocado Toast was not only delicious but a huge portion!!! It’s a great starter for a 3-4 people (if you can cut it right) or a full meal for 1-2 people.
