"The homeland of the Hemish (Jemez) Pueblo people, known in Navajo as Mąʼii Deeshgiizh; it denotes the ancestral territory tied to the Jemez community and its cultural heritage." - Vanessa Bowen
Lovely staff who were very friendly and helpful, providing information and good conversation.
The hummingbird cafe attached to the visitor center has EXCELLENT coffee, matcha, and nachos. Perfect refreshments after the Walatowa Slot Canyon hike. (We paid $12/person to hike and it was very worth it)

Such a wonderful experience came into purchase a pass for the canyon they were very friendly my twins wrist ban broke she gave me another one we also walked around the museum inside I took pictures by accident but let them know and deleted them after I read the sign to not take pictures felt so bad I missed the sign. :) After I and the twins walked across the street to the canyon, it was breathtaking the hole hike was exciting!

Really cool that they are open 7 days a week. Visited on Sunday and was lucky to be able to visit museum inside visitors center. Very informative. Unfortunate no picture/video allowed in the museum. Hiking pass can be purchased here ($12/daily pass)

A great experience and we got to learn a little bit about the culture of the Indians.we came during a time when they were dancing for the visitors. I think we came at a time when they were doing some kind of celebration for their young ones. We felt very welcome and would love to return one day.

Stopped here and it has great selection of items to buy and a free museum that is informative. There is a hike across the street that is $3 per person. The hike is about 1.5 miles and so beautiful with the red rocks. It is a must-do.

I liked it!
I'll have to check out the trail some time, but the visitor center was nice. I wish the museum extended past 2008 and the mugs available for sale weren't what I hoped for.
Bathroom was very clean, but the stall was out of order.

Great place to visit, the museum was fantastic. The restrooms, however, were out of order and did not look to be getting resolved, so they might have shut them down due to misuse or vandalism. Aside from that inconvenience, this is a great shop and a wonderful way to discover more about the Jemez Pueblo.
