"Waldmann has always excelled at making things festive during the long, cold season. The popular patio is dotted with fire pits, picnic tables, and oftentimes, families." - Joy Summers

"Waldmann lives into Germany’s “wurst und bier” tradition, pairing its draft beers with bratwurst and curry brats, served on a bun with sauerkraut or over a bed of mashed potatoes and cabbage. There’s much more on the menu, though, like brown-butter spaetzle, bacon burgers, smoked trout dip, and 10-ounce biergarten-style pretzels." - Cinnamon Janzer

"Located just over the high bridge and one block off West 7th, this German brewery serves snappy sausages and serious pretzels alongside the beer. The casual beer garden is a family-friendly affair." - Joy Summers

"I found their patio is currently open with tables sometimes placed on existing patios, in parking lots, or on sidewalks; guests are asked to wear masks and all staff will be masked, with precautions in place—check with the restaurant for individual days and hours. Studies suggest lower exposure risk when dining outdoors, but that benefit depends on restaurants following strict social distancing and other safety guidelines." - Joy Summers

"I expect its patio to open next week; seating will require reservations and be at a diminished capacity, with social distancing enforced. Masks will be required for workers and for Minneapolis diners (but not in St. Paul). Minneapolis has relaxed zoning to let restaurants reclaim outdoor space such as parking lots and valet stands, though Mayor Melvin Carter and the St. Paul city council are still expected to address zoning concerns. This list may change as the date nears; for updates emailminneapolis@eater.com." - Joy Summers
