It was my first time to Waldo Pizza. It is a nice and clean place with very friendly service! I had one of the sandwich offerings and it was fantastic! Toasted ciabatta bread with yummy meats and veggies with melted cheese. Man, so good! The wedges were also piping hot and tasty. I am excited to return for a pie in the future!

I first came here in February 2002, it was just after the ice storm of the century had just happened earlier. I lived on the Plaza by the Art Institute at that time. I had no power for a week in freezing weather. Thank God for Mr Heater. So, I would hang out in restaurants and bars to eat and get heat. I went to Waldo Pizza a little time after the ice storm. I guess my girlfriend and I were the first in the restaurant right after the storm. Just as the place re-opened. The owner Phil Bourne took our order himself. We ordered a couple Pizzas and beers the owner said you guys like ribs we said yes. That was it. We got our beers head to the salad bar!! We comeback to the table there are two baskets of rib tips the owner said it was on the house. Phil said the place just had been opened for maybe 6 hrs so far. Everything in the walk-ins had to be thrown away the next morning. So, Phil said not wasting any food. He said is that cool. Ah yeah! The two Pizzas must have been 2lbs each. Both pizzas were thin crust pizzas at least 1" to 1 1/2" thick the owner again said if I don't use these toppings it is pitched. Butter cake for dessert again on the house! After that I don't know had many times we had been there. Hell, my Dog loves Waldo Pizza! Delivery people come by with food delivery. Humboldt is a jumping 3 ft in the air when it arrives. I haven't been in since this group bought it. I Miss the area then. Different today.

Google
Great little local pizza place, with good pizza. It's not an artisan crust kind of place, but while not bubbly and fluffy - it is still a good tasty pizza crust. The thin crust is also pretty tasty, if you want something light. (They have a gluten-free option for a small up charge, and it is slightly smaller.) Nice topping selection from roasted garlic, herb roasted potatoes, arugula, eggplant, and Kalamata olives to sauerkraut and sun dried tomatoes. They have an interesting assortment of sauces in addition to their usual red sauce, they also have a spicy red which is moderately kicky, buffalo sauce, pesto, romesco, taco sauce. They updated their BBQ sauce, and I would say it is pretty good now (for a while it tasted like a cinnamon dessert). They can handle a pretty large group with a reservation, they even have a large "tap room" in the back which can accommodate up to about 75 people sitting! They can put on a nice pizza buffet. The atmosphere is pleasant and the staff are generally friendly.

06/09/2025 Used to love Waldo pizza. Haven’t been in a while since we live pretty far away. We were in KC and decided to stop in for the dinner buffet. The food looked like it had been out since lunch. The Mac n cheese was ice cold. The pizza was dried out. I ordered a special pizza and did not care for it at all. I know they were bought out by a large restaurant group and it’s very evident the quality is no longer there. Sad to say, this will be my last visit. So I love Waldo pizza. The pizza was delicious. Losing 2 stars for the brown salad, I sent both of ours back and it was actually worse when it came back. The server said she would take it off, she didn’t. On top of not taking the inedible salads off, we had to ask then had an extended wait for refills and had to ask twice for boxes for the pizza. Disappointing experience. The positive, the pizza was as good as it always is.

Google
Wild experience just now. First, the ordering site doesn’t work properly. Like I'm shooketh. 😳😲😧 Just picked up a 10 inch pepperoni pizza and a cheese crust. My husband took a bite of the pizza and immediately thought something was wrong (tasted old and soapy or chemically). I didn't believe him and tried the cheese crust with sauce and tasted old dish/mop water that was chemically. I then tried the cheese crust alone and realized it was the crust or cheese that was...off. My husband called, and after a long hold time, the person on the phone said they would refund our order and "Hopefully it will be less soapy next time." I mean is this refund coming out of your check smartssa?! My husband has eaten here since childhood and we've been longtime customers, being that we are both KC natives. And he still will not swear this place off after dealing with undercooked dough etc. The facetious, callous tone is insane. Maybe you thought we were trying to get over on you but we actually would've preferred to have food that doesn't taste like soapy mop water. Get your kitchen together before you are reported to the health department. I wonder what your scores are lately. BTW took one bite and trashed it (it's actually in my freezer because I'm curious about what chemicals I just ingested).

Google
The salad bar is the best! Bottomless salad bar and it’s a good one. The pizzas are awesome too. The cheeses garlic pizza to start is the best combination of flakey and tasty pizza. We had a friend join us who was gluten free and they had a great menu options list for her. The gluten breadsticks were awesome, not just dense or tasteless (like most GF options can be) they were amazing!

Yelp
I went to a Waldo Folk event here. The music at the event was great and so was the pizza and beer. The beer list is long and it includes a lot of good local beers too. I had a Double IPA from Diametric. I got a build your own pizza, 18-inch on hand tossed crust with Italian sausage and mushrooms. It was plenty of food to split for two people. We brought some home. I'd like to go back and try the thin crust. It looked good and I heard good things about if it it.

Yelp
Some AMAZING pizza comes out of here. Freshly made to order, so many options to configure the pizza to your liking, and the side dishes / appetizers never disappoint. Pizza is still great the next day when reheated. The vibes are immaculate along with the service Vegan friendly.

Yelp
Still a leader in my pizza clubhouse. I'm not really local enough, but Waldo Pizza is a big hitter when it comes to destination pizza stops for the wife & I. We've come to appreciate the hand-crafting of each pie and are standard board of fare includes a large pizza with a metric ton of sliced black olives. Jayce was on point for us this Saturday afternoon and served us up right. 75th & Wornall is perpetually under construction but that doesn't dissuade us from parking just a bit further away, because the pizza & stuff is worth the wait! Pro tip: Try the butter cake. It's ridiculously good, like several notches above that nice lady at your church that bakes the best desserts. Use the strawberry sauce that comes with, or don't, but the cake is worth the indulgence.

Yelp
Had an order of ravioli as an appetizer. They were solid. Combo pizza minus green peppers with extra cheese. Solid pizza, traditional crust was a tad doughy. Overall solid.

Yelp
A group of 12 on a Sunday afternoon and they had room! Great staff!!!! Always managing refills, full bar, very diverse menu and great pizza!!! We had the sampler to start them a collection of pasta's, sandwiches & pizzas and everyone was happy. The trivia cards in the tables SO fun!!! Parking is always an adventure

Yelp
This is a follow up review and they lose a star. How? Well first quality is not the same, my kids got a lg pizza, it was not great. Very disappointing compared to previous visits. This trip only got worse. Besides not being the cleanest establishment (still, yuk)! I'd give zero stars now if i could. If we order a buffet that COMES WITH A SODA, that means we've ALREADY paid for it. We are free to give to whomever we want at the table. END. OF. STORY! Stop trying to make people pay double for sodas. If your goal is to make your patrons upset and angry so they don't want to come spend money in your establishment. Congratulations you succeded, we won't be back!

Yelp
$71 before tip (85 with tip) for two 12" pizzas (one Hawaiian and one half cheese/half veggie), mozzarella sticks, three soft drinks and a beer. Ouch. Pizza was fine. Server was nice. But prices will not be worth another visit.

Yelp
Y'all I love Waldo Pizza. Sure, some folks could probably find some flaws here. I've had some prickly encounters with the carry out staff over the years, and it can take a long while to get a pizza delivered on a busy weekend night but good god this pizza is good. I would categorize Waldo pizza in the same sort of midwest pizza parlor style as Minskys but IMO it's the GOAT for KC. From local ingredients to the tastiest crust I think it's a slam dunk. Heck, even their homemade ranch is some of the best in biz. The icing on the cake for me with Waldo is that despite living way too far for them to deliver they will and while it takes forever that's okay given that they are still doing it and it is MUCH appreciated. If it needs a quick zap in the microwave it still hits the spot. I usually try to pick up a pizza from here whenever I'm in the area around dinner time as that's the best way to do carry out from them. I'll also add that dining in is always a win for me as well, though I rarely do so anymore.

Yelp
What an amazing experience tonite! Customer service was fantastic and the pizza wasn't just 2 canned pizza sauces mixed together. Or copying off of another restaurant.

Yelp
Literally could smell the filth on the floor from my chair. It was disgusting and the hostess didn't care. Waitress was unhappy and seemed sad. Salad was truck stop gross. The wings were somehow both dry and greasy at the same time. And did not taste like buffalo at all. Just like thw were made in a big batch at start of the shift and tossed on the grill. My kid said, after one bite, "Mom, I cant get the taste out of my mouth!" The mozzarella sticks were limp. Yuck. The pizza was hot but that was the highlight. The cheese was rubber and there was no sauce to match the squishy dough. Even the coke was flat and tasted like the taps were dirty. So hungry we stayed to make the best of it, so happy to leave. What a sad affair.

Nick V.

Yelp
Highly recommend calling to check on wait times before ordering online. We waited inside for a pick up order for about 25 minutes beyond the time that was quoted in the confirmation email. We had groceries in the car and hungry family at home, so it was a stressful wait! Not the best experience. Pizza was ok -- very skimpy on toppings. Especially on the gluten-free one, which had three pieces of sausage. See image

Yelp
Best vegan pizza I've had in forever. The St. Louis style thin crust was absolute perfection. What I appreciated most was choice. I had two full pages of a vegan-only menu to select from, not just some pathetic cheese substitution option I get at most places. Bravo, Waldo Pizza! Thank you for committing to feeding all your patrons by your robust vegan (and gluten free) selections. I'm so impressed. My husband and five-year-old loved their pizzas, too. Great service and ambience made for just a wonderful experience.

Yelp
It's been a while since I've dined at Waldo Pizza for the lunch buffet and was excited to be back however the experience this time was rather disappointing. The service was fine and I was seated quickly and arrived sometime around 12:30, prime lunch time. The salad bar was good and the homemade dressings are appreciated. Now the pizza counter though was in a sad state. The top row of thin pizza consisted of a dessert pie, a sausage pie that looked dead and dry as the Sahara dessert and 2 pans of some sort of veggie pies that had some scraps remaining. The bottom row of the thick crust was not better and had what appeared to be a cheese, something with red peppers amd another unapetizing looking veg pizza. I had my salad and waited for fresh pies, went up and nothing had changed, waited a while more and finally a new thin bbq Pizza was added but sadly it was not fresh From the oven and was just sort of warm. Eventually after more waiting around amd some more salad a thick crust combo pizza finally was added and this was good, straight from the oven, hot and fresh as it should be. Still bored with the lack of freshness and variety i waited more and a new thin was added wich was sausage and bell pepper, meh another odd combo. Played the waiting game some more amd another thick crust came out of pepperoni and pineapple but had no sauce, not even a little, I finally gave up paid and told the waitress the buffet was a big thumbs down today. She said sorry and sent the manager back with my processed credit card who also said sorry and gave a sorry coupon for 20% off a pizza. She said it's difficult when it's not busy wich it was not and I get that but that dosent mean mediocre crap is acceptable for the paying customer. In an ideal world yes a fresh pie would come out, get eaten and replaced with a fesh one but unfortunately the world is far from perfect and sometimes you need to toss out things that are old dried out and cold for both freshness and food safety! I'd give the joint another shot in hopes this was just an off day.

Yelp
I was impressed with their gluten free options, including two desserts, I'd go back for the gluten free cookies alone!

Yelp
My last visit was in spring 2018. This pizza place has been a staple for years and I was excited to return after a long hiatus. Location: 9/10 Waldo is one of my favorite places to visit in the city. It's quaint and picturesque with cool spots to hang like Social and The Well. Customer Service: 2/10 Our server was stellar! He was very kind, attentive and helpful. He was even apologetic for his coworker, who was less than thrilled to be working. He was also the person that seated us upon our arrival. When we went to the pizza buffet, Mr. Grumpy Pants bussed our table and got rid of our napkins, silverware, and drinks. Why would you think we already left when you seated us five minutes prior? Luckily, our server fixed it right away. Grumpy also He also couldn't be bothered when we were leaving. His attitude was pretty foul. Pizza: 2/10 I remember the pizza being fresh, crispy, and drizzled with the perfect amount of sauce. This was not the case this visit. The pizza was dry, had little sauce, and the crust was like rubber. It seemed like it had been sitting out for a while. The selection was poor, with the majority of the pizzas being specialty kinds and these pizzas were hot and fresh. We had to request regular pepperoni, which had tasted like it had been sitting in the back for a while. This was very disappointing, especially since our meal was $35. Timing is everything: I honestly think the buffet food is better when they first open. We came at 1, an hour before the buffet shuts down and that may be the reason the food was subpar. Overall: 2/10 I love pizza and it's disappointing when it does not live up to my standards. After this visit, I would have preferred to visit The Well or Social, but we avoided those places because the game was on. We may try again earlier in the day if we decide to visit again, but for now, it's a pass.

Yelp
What a great place with great customer service. The pizza I ordered was a combo pizza with all the toppings. I call this a supreme pizza. I got hand tossed crust and it was so nice and fluffy. It's exactly the way I like my pizza. It gets pretty busy around 6pm on a Friday obviously, I decided to show up early to get my take out order because their parking situation is nothing to play with. I managed to find parking I got there 20 minutes early until my order was ready so I decided to move out of my parking spot and find another one. Once I found another spot I came in and it was time to get my order and it was ready but because I was early they apologized and gave my a coupon for next time. I thought that was really sweet. I chose to get there early but they acknowledged I was waiting and were very nice. I will be back!

Yelp
Pizza is very good. Staff was friendly and helpful. It was very busy when we got there. Nice atmosphere definitely go there again

Yelp
Have been here twice and both times I have been extremely impressed with the quality of the pizza as a whole, it's definitely a fun place to sit in as well with really fun decor and interior and gives off the energy of a lively neighborhood joint, and rightfully so. This might be some of my favorite LOCAL food/ pizza in KC, but what gets this place into trouble is very sub standard service so much so that I had to mention it. Both times I've been with friends and my wife as well it has been an apparent issue. First time our appetizers showed up like 30 minutes late and weren't even warm nearing cold, and while I don't try to ask about getting comped or having it taken off the bill I was surprised they didn't offer because we barely touched them. The most recent time we had a long wait for everything, getting drinks took 5 minutes longer than expected, getting appetizers took well over 25 minutes, getting our pizza took almost a full hour (which with the fact that it was slowing down and the restaurant wasn't packed made it feel even more egregious). And the icing on the cake (ironically) was that we took advantage of restaurant week and had to wait nearly 15 minutes for them to box up a slice of cake they probably pre made for us to take to go. It's baffling to me. So in short, go for the excellent pizza (I cannot stress enough, it is incredibly good) but don't expect prompt and efficient service, and if you're in a pinch it might just be better to pick up.

Yelp
This place is as good as it was, if not better, than when we lived in the neighborhood 25 years ago. Our takeout order was quickly made and delicious. Loved the two pizzas and the cheese garlic bread app.

Yelp
if you want a taste of St Louis pizza in Kansas City this is definitely your place. Waldo's pizza has a family style feel with great customer sevice . We had the wings, salad bar and the meat lovers pizza. The wings were a little under cooked for me so I wouldn't recommend those but the salad bar was a hit it was fresh and reasonably priced and the garlic ranch was definitely a 10 out 10 and it's house made. I literally wanted to take a bottle of ranch home. The pizza was our favorite robust flavor great crust and filled with meat... Our server Cassie was attentive, friendly and prompt she made the night Even better. We will definitely be back.

Yelp
We found WALDO! We had a great time here.. we arrived at the place fully packed.. but surprisingly the wait was not that much. We were accommodated immediately and our order was taken as soon as we sat down. We were able to choose what we wanted while waiting at the car so it was a nice transition. We got the garlic cheese bread as appetizer and everyone loved it. It's so simple app but tastes so good. Next thing that came out is my New Orleans gumbo, and it was different from what I had back home but it was not bad. The food is warm on the outside but cold in the middle.. I just mixed it really well to get that consistent temperature. What we didn't like is the meat lasagna... first it was very sweet, I don't mind sweet, but this one is too sweet for a lasagna. The sauce was also watery, after few minutes the plate is like drenched in liquid. But what I did like is the amount of meat in it, there's a LOT.. which is good in my opinion. I almost didn't see the lasagna itself, but again, that's good. Last is the main dish, the pizza. At first we all want the St. Louis style think crust, but hey, we're from STL so we opted for their own hand tossed crust and IT WAS GOOD!!! This made our day, kind of like we made the last meal of the day decision perfect.. It's cheesy, lot of toppings, but we are a bread loving type of people and we loved every bite of this. It's also great to see you can have 2 types of pizza in one.. Just a tip, choose the same "premium" style when you do this as they will charge the more expensive one. Overall this is a 4.5 stars for me, and we will certainly be going back when we get the chance.

Cassy C.

Yelp
Tonight I went to Waldos pizza and placed an order for food, while sitting down waiting for my food I was ask by the waitress to get up and she immediately sat a Caucasian couple in the very seat she ask me to get up from. I ask her why did she do that? She said it wasn't marked down that the table was taken,I responded by saying, clearly you have eyes you seen me sitting there. I will never go back there, and I will be sharing my experience with every one I know. I have never in my life been treated so horrible.

Yelp
Their Greek hand tossed pizza was spot on. The meatballs were seasoned perfectly with Greek seasoning and was topped full of flavor. It had a flavorful crust without being greasy at all. The ceiling is rather interesting as it has playing cards stuck to it all over. Great pizza and service.
google avatar

Yelp
Keys after with the crust, it's cooked well never doughy, the sauce is delicious I always ask for a side bc I dip my pizza crust in it, the cheese mixture is oh my goodness just delicious. The side salad is just a side salad but it is still good. I forgot to take a picture and all that's left is an empty plate. You won't be disappointed. The place OSS great, servers and bartenders are always nice and not afraid to talk. Try them out you won't be disappointed.

Yelp
We visited today for lunch, and so glad we did. Seeing the sign on the door advertising the buffet ($15.99), including soda and salad bar, we had our minds made up. We were greeter promptly as we came in, and were shown to our seat. They serve Coke products and my partner loved that they have Coke Zero in the fountain. The buffet selections were hot, fresh, and delicious; our server kept our drinks bottomless. The restrooms showed their age, but they were very clean. Compared with local pizza spots, Waldo pizza excels at taste, value, and service.

Yelp
Love this place! The staff are friendly, the interior clean and the prices are very fair. This time I did a carry-out order of their Waldo Sampler: 4 toasted Raviolis, 4 mozzarella sticks, 6 wings in the sriracha honey sauce and then 8 piece of garlic bread. It was perfect for nibbles during our wine tasting just around the corner!

Yelp
I would have had a picture but we were all famished and the large pizzas were eaten quickly! ‍ This is where we meet our friends who live in Waldo who we've known for 20+ years. The food and of course the pizza is always phenomenal and the beer selection is as well. One thing I really love is that they have a vegan menu and a gluten-free menu! The only problem is there can be too many choices. However, in that moment I just order a few small pizzas, specialties, and appetizers, to try twith everyone and then take home the rest for the next few days. There are already 5 different crusts you can pick on the regular menu, but then even more on the vegan, and the gluten-free. And they are all fantastic! They use fresh ingredients. They always have some kind of game on tv. The ambiance is fun, yet cozy. The service is wonderful, especially in that, if you don't know what beer or pizza to order, the waitstaff will be able to tell you and are pretty much right on the money! "I want a beer that isn't too dry, but not like a cider, that has some bite." "Ok! These 3 are good." "Will you just pick one for me?" "Sure!" And it comes out perfect and we have to write it down in our "Beer snob love it list"
google avatar

Akanksha G.

Yelp
Decent food at very reasonable prices! I came by with some friends as I was craving pizza, and we were seated immediately despite our larger group. I ordered the Garlic Cheese Bread to start, and the Buffalo Chicken pizza. I can't stop raving about the sauce that comes with the cheese bread! It went perfectly with the bread and really added flavor. I regret not asking for more sauce as I actually ran out from dipping so much. The pizza was just the right amount of spicy, and the chicken was tender and juicy. Im a huge fan of a thicker crust, and this absolutely hit the spot. I had a great time and will definitely be back!

Yelp
Wow I had not been to Waldo Pizza for a looooong time, what a mistake. The same old very basic salad bar that's just GREAT - sometimes simple is best. Great service and good ole pizza joint. A must if your in Waldo area and craving great pizza

Yelp
Pizza was top notch! Service was amazing. I will definitely be back. This could be a weekly spot for family dinner or a place to put on the list if you're just passing through.

Whitney M.

Yelp
Terrible service. Pizza was dry and undercooked. Insalada had very little dressing. Disappointing.

Jim M.

Yelp
Dear new owners, I have been a very regular customer for almost 20 years. So far, you have taken away my favorite sandwich, the ability to make my own sandwich, my favorite desert, rib tips, and probably other things I don't normally order that I haven't noticed yet. And a nearly 50% increase for the buffet? Seriously? But the most egregious thing? Yes, I understand that you have your own wines, but Waldo Pizza is not a $14 glass of wine kind of place. If you think your wine is that good, bring back the $5 glass of Bota Box and let it run against your overpriced wine for a few months and see which one sells more. You're killing an institution. You are driving away the loyal customers that have been going there for decades. You might be able to keep this up for a bit, but you're driving the place into the ground, and are heading towards closure. No one wants what you're doing, you have no idea what Waldo is about. Just ask the people who opened Brick and Mortar where Tanners used to be. How long did they last? Please stop killing this beloved Waldo restaurant.

Yelp
We are from OKC and were in town for a basketball tournament. A friend of mine who lives in the KC area recommended Waldo Pizza as it is one of their local favorites. My family of 5 and my in-laws ALL raved about the pizza and wings. It is very hard to please everyone in the family. My wife and mother-in-law both have gluten free needs and I noticed they had GF options. The GF options far exceeded "normal" and were much more than expected. They enjoyed the GF cheesy bread and pizza crust options. Very well done Waldo Pizza!
google avatar

Yelp
Probably one of the best pizza spots in KC! Looking from the outside it looks like a hole in the wall place but it's pretty big on the inside. It's surrounded by lots of other bars and restaurants making it the perfect spot to start your night off right. Service is always great and the food comes out quickly. This place has my favorite pizza of all time, the Florentine - it's a must try! There isn't any meat on it but I promise you it doesn't need any. They have a full service bar with a big selection of beer and cocktails. Next time you're looking for a place to get some food and drinks, check out Waldo pizza!!

Yelp
Best pizza in KC, a childhood favorite. St. Louis style with cracker crust and provel blend is unbeatable. Thick-crusters can stick to Digiorno.
google avatar

Ashley D.

Yelp
Best pizza in the city! The price point is a little high but I think it is worth it for how great the pizza is. We did take out and it's a cluster with the construction right now, but don't let that turn you away! They are still doing curbside just on the side of the building

Yelp
Drove all the way down to KC to get this pizza and it was WORTH. IT. All the hype I heard was exactly what I ate up and enjoyed. During COVID19 review: Small shop that has 5 tables available for dine in. The rest were unavailable to properly adhere to pandemic guidelines. All employees were masked. Patrons were already seated and not masked. Masks are required to enter and walk in the restaurant. Service was exceptional! Our server, Mike, really took care of us and treaded us like family. As first timers he really gave us a nice welcome. I told him want the vegan taco pizza the way he would make it for himself. He really brought out the goods. Mr W had the Greek: a Mediterranean pizza with amazing flavor. Thin crust pizza had perfect crunch and consistency. Also had the vegan cheesy bread with Mike's special touch with roasted garlic. FANTASTIC! Two different wheat beers locally brewed in KC. Smooth and a pleasant compliment to our awesome pizzas. Total was $68.xx before gratuity. Overall it was an awesome time experiencing my first KC pizza joint. I appreciated the vegan/plant based options and the many ways to customize. And greatly appreciated the care during being served. I can't wait to go back and make it a tradition to eat here. Next time my kids will be joining us and they will love it!

Waldo Pizza's cheese crust is the best, add a side of ranch and get ready to be amazed!! Their salad bar is also delicious. Their pizza is also good and prices are reasonable. Great spot for a casual dinner with friends or family!

Yelp
Good pizza - have never ordered anything bad. The service is usually good, there has been a carry out order mishap, but that is once in a blue moon. Everyone is very friendly. There are often waits due to the establishment being as popular as it is. Cool atmosphere and would recommend as a casual dinner. Worth the price? You decide

Yelp
Wonderful delicious pizza, love their salad bar, too. Always right. They have options for gluten free and dairy free as needed.

Yelp
I did already like Waldo, but had not sat inside in a while. Delicious and well priced salad bar. The Gouda pizza was outstanding. I love how many food options they have. I would like to see a happy hour, but man was the service phenomenal too! All th way to boxing the pizza for you. Fill the beers to the top as well. Love this place!

Yelp
Excellent service! When you come in for carry out, you will get the best customer experience. You will leave with a full delicious meal that's affordable. For salad and pizza it's a great deal but what I love about coming here is the experience with the staff! They are extra caring and friendly which just makes your day better!

Yelp
Absolutely the best pizza in KC! We love everything we've had, and we love their specials, their collaborations, and that you can build your own.

Yelp
Since my last review was 5 years ago, I thought I would update it. This is still my favorite pizza in Kansas City by far!!!!!! I've been coming here occasionally as long as I can remember. At least 25 years if not more. When I lived out of the country for a year and my mom asked what I would like for a welcome meal I said, " Waldo Pizza!" Where I was living the pizza was not good at all. Anyways, I so wish I had taken a photo of the pizza but you know the food is just that good when I scarf it down without a photo. My family and I would always get the thin crust ( St. Louis style) combo pizza. I rarely ever veer from that. I came with my in laws and family and we got several pizzas. Some of us got salad bars as well and they have the best salad bar. It has not changed in years- it always has the amazing Westport room salad dressings and crispy jalapeño toppings I love. We also got drinks. The servers and bartender were all on point and friendly. It's definitely a family spot and nothing fancy as far as ambiance. I mean it is a pizza joint. I've also heard around the grapevine that they treat their employees well. We will be back for sure!
