Golf Course Review: Waldorf Astoria Golf Club – Orlando, FL The Waldorf Astoria Golf Club in Orlando is a truly beautiful course—scenic, well-designed, and a pleasure to play from start to finish. The layout is both challenging and enjoyable, making it a great choice for golfers of all skill levels. The tee boxes were in excellent condition, and the pace of play was spot on, allowing for a smooth and relaxing round. While most of the greens were well-maintained, a couple could use a bit of improvement, but it didn’t take away from the overall experience. The staff was friendly and welcoming, adding to the luxury feel you’d expect from the Waldorf brand. We also enjoyed a bite to eat after the round—the food was tasty. Overall, it’s a great course with beautiful surroundings, quality service, and solid amenities.

Staff is wonderful, friendly and courteous. Course in general is in good shape but the greens are in very poor shape, and #6 is in terrible condition. Don’t believe the reason the staff gave me “last hurricane soaked the greens and damaged them”, hurricane season is around the corner, greens are going to get even worse (unthinkable). IMO greens are sick and need to be fully replaced. Staff should be more honest and mention this during check in. Good experience, definitely, but a discounted rate should be applied until greens are in good condition. If not fixed, then book a different course, it is not worth it.

One of my favorite courses of all time. Fairways and greens were exceptional. It felt like I was chipping the ball off a carpet. Fluffy grass everywhere, even the rough felt phenomenal. Service was great as well. This course is the one that stood out the most to me in my Orlando Golf trip

We went to play at the end of February. First of all, the welcome, facilities and staff are A+ class. The design of the course is very beautiful, the traps and fairway very nice... On the other hand, the greens are horrible. 15 greens out of 18 are unplayable, not to mention that the speed of the greens is around 5 on the step meter. We paid $295 usd for this round. Courses at 75 usd are in better condition for the greens. If they manage to redo the greens it's worth it... ask to know if it's been rectified before booking... Be careful. When we paid the Proshop guy told us the course was in great condition which turned out not to be true.

The course is great. The “player assistants” as they call them were sub-par from beginning to end. When I arrived at 9:15AM for my 9:50AM tee time, there was a 5-10 minute wait for valet at the bag drop area, which was so backed up I had to get out five cars back and walk my bag up and the “player assistant” didn’t bother helping or pointing me in the right direction. After the round, the cart assistants came over and started cleaning my partner’s clubs but the minute I tipped him, they stopped and drove the carts away and never even cleaned my clubs. When I arrived at the valet to leave, there was nobody to be found and once I found the valet, he could barely be bothered with giving me my keys. Hard to believe this five star resort has the nerve to ask you to leave a tip when you check in considering the employees could care less about providing five star assistance. I expect such mediocre service at municipal courses, not the Waldorf Astoria. As for the course itself, it was in good shape and a very enjoyable yet challenging course. The greens rolled inconsistently with some being fast and some slow, but overall a good course. If it wasn’t for the poor experience on arrival and departure from the course, it would be five stars.

A more accurate review is 3.5/5 There were only two bad greens. The rest were very playable course from tee to green makes up for some of the patches. Fairways pristine bunkers pristine and if you hit it inside 25ft-30ft you will not have to putt through the patches. They are working on renovating them.

I almost never write reviews, but after my experience this week at this course and 2 others in the area I felt like I should. Green fee was 100 usd which is less than the other two I played. The conditions were comparable (minus the two pretty severely damaged greens… BUT, I was warned prior to the completion of my booking, so I can’t complain). The staff was so much better here than the other two courses…. Especially the Marshall. One of the very few times a Marshall has ACTUALLY cared about pace of play and enforced it. He got a very slow 4some to let us pass within the first 3 holes and we ended up finishing in 3hr20 (compared to 4.5 hours at the others). Overall great experience. Will be back when I’m in the area.

Google
This track is outstanding. The service from everyone is top notch and not stuffy. Easily one of the best courses in Florida. Well maintained and not what you would expect from a resort type course.

Yelp
I already had to change my review, I lowered it from a four star to a three star for this reason: They are selling Tour Response balls in TP5x boxes.

Yelp
Had a great round there. Would recommend this track to anyone. A few greens we're not perfect, but they mentioned it before the ground and they discounted the price. This place is amazing for what they were charging.

Yelp
We came to play 18 holes and the course was in amazing condition. It was the heat that made us stop after hole 11. The service was great, staff was friendly and the food in the clubhouse was delicious. It just took a long time to get our food. We enjoyed watching the Olympics while we waited through so we didn't mind much.

Yelp
Nice golf course. Well maintained and manicured. Nice scenery. Excellent driving range. Poor value for greens fees. Greens fees somewhat excessive . Service in the bar and dinning area definitely needs to be improved the day I was there. Would certainly play this club if I were staying at the hotel, but unlikely to travel to play here again.

Yelp
I'm definitely disappointed at this golf club. I was thinking the name and the $315 to play was going to be a treat. I could not have been more wrong. Fourteen of the eighteen greens did not have grass on them. It was dirt painted green. The clubhouse offered a gift certificate discount for my next trip. There will not be one. We have two municipal golf courses in NC that have better greens and cost $45 to play. I would find somewhere else to play. Shingle Creek GC was 10 minutes away and much better condition. The people were nice, but the course should have let us know during booking.

Yelp
One of the top golf courses in Orlando with great course conditions and water features. The pro shop has rental clubs.
