"The Waldorf’s first Latin American property, this Calle Uruguay hotel opened in 2013 in a high-gloss, 36-floor high-rise just a block from Avenida Balboa. First time at a Waldorf property. The room was nice, slightly dated decor but still very nice. The area was good, plenty of restaurants within walking distance and a little market right across the street. Ubers are inexpensive so we used those to get around. Our favorite thing about this hotel was the breakfast buffet! After the 1st morning I was so excited knowing we had 3 more mornings. They had thought of every little detail from the made to order eggs/omelets to the fresh honey dripping in to a bowl. The fresh fruit was amazing as well as the variety available. Being greeted every morning by Karla's smiling face was a treat! The whole breakfast staff were wonderful and we lingered every morning. Gustavo was the one that checked us in and he was an absolute delight, so welcoming and friendly. |The bed and sheets were fine. We went to use the hot tub and unfortunately the pool was warmer than the Jacuzzi but no big deal. Again, staff there were great.

** PLEASE LIKE & SHARE OUR REVIEWS. ** We flew in very late and spent the day here. Lovely lovely hotel. Each room has its own personal doorbell, robe & slipper set. The staff are simply amazing as are the amenities. In our room were greeted with hand-written note and maccarroons. The pool was gorgeous and empty. We had the entire place to ourselves! The fitness center seemed busy but not over crowded. The only thing we wished we had known was that breakfast was included. We totally missed out which was unfortunate. As Hilton Club members, it would have been great to have been informed, however, we also forgot to ask. Travel tips: * Room service items are charged at a high premium however, there is a market that is opened til late, right across the street. * Panama Canal & Metropolitan Park Rain Forest are a must-see. Both are about a 15 min taxi ride. There is also a bus or subway train that can get you there as well.

I thought I had written this last year. However, in my busy, crazy life, I forgot to handle. Second trip to Panama City. I had a medical emergency upon arrival on my first trip and the staff handled everything for me. They were fantastic! Came back for the 2nd time in Sept 2024 , again they were fantastic. I have no reason to stay anywhere else. When you find the best place to stay where they staff remembers you and takes care of you, you be loyal and return. Food is great, location is good but the reason I stay is really about the service. There is a good reason this is a 5 star hotel. Looking forward to my return trip.

This hotel is perfect for your trip to Panama. It’s in a great location, the staff are wonderful, the rooms clean and spacious. AC works great. Enjoyed the pool, fitness center and lobby bar. Would definitely stay here again if in the area. Very close to the walking path along the coast.

The experience overall is the best. The hospitality, accommodation, accessibility, everything was great. I’ll recommend this hotel while visiting Panama. This hotel is in the middle off it all. Walking discounts to disco and restaurants. Shopping, convenience stores are close to this location. The receptionist are on pint if needed anything. There is nothing bad at all about this place and its environment. The room are gigantic and very clean.

I honestly forgot to write this review from 2022 so I do apologize. We did have an excellent stay. The breakfast buffet is outstanding. All of the staff and hotel personnel are extremely attentive. We visited for my husband‘s birthday in October. It is an excellent location we enjoyed and will be returning. The only downside is that they do not offer an executive lounge so please be aware and prepare for that.
