"You'll feel like a royal when walking into the chateau-style Waldorf Astoria Chicago, thanks to its Parisian courtyard entrance and pristine lobby. That elegance extends to the award-winning spa, a fourth-floor retreat where guests can experience luxurious downtime with facial and body treatments incorporating premium product from Biologique Recherché (which guests can purchase post-service at the spa’s shop, which also stocks apparel from the likes of Balmain and Lululemon). The team here encourages guests cozy up in robes (courtesy of Frette or Chadsworth & Haig) to enjoy many onsite amenities, including a whirlpool, eucalyptus steam room, dry sauna, indoor heated lap pool, and fitness center, along with snacks and fruit-infused water (and Champagne for anyone celebrating a special occasion). Small groups can also check out the spa terrace, where light bites and drinks are served." - Nicole Schnitzler

I booked a last minute facial and it was wonderful! The staff was extremely kind and Colleen did an amazing job on my facial. She was very knowledgeable explaining to me what she was doing and making recommendations. Wonderful experience all around!

Victoria Da Conceicao

Google
Beautiful amenities and high-impact treatments. I did the diamond glow facial on Saturday and have not worn makeup all week because my skin is in the best condition it’s been in for years! Also— their chamomile chocolates are delicious. Well done, Waldorf!

Google
Five stars for the spa staff, I wanted to try a new BR mask after running out of my usuals and the bio magic mask that was recommended by the staff exceeded my expectations. Refreshing welcoming vibe all around with staff that’s super knowledgeable about skin care!

Jordan Brown

Google
The staff was very friendly and the massage was great, but the masseuse was coughing my entire massage and the steam room was broken. Wasn't the most relaxing experience, but I still felt great after. I think I just got unlucky with the day I went.

Anjali Khanna

Google
had the most amazing massage and facial here—been to a lot of places around the city and this was hands down the best! the massage was relaxing and felt long she was super. the facial was also very well done. it’s expensive but it’s worth every penny!

Google
A great spa all around. After flying overseas and back, I was desperate for something to work out the kinks and tension I felt. A signature massage did the trick and then some. Aside from the superb service itself, the entire staff was pleasant and professional from check-in to check-out. I appreciated the tour of the facilities beforehand, which were excellent. The lockers and dressing areas were spacious and clean. The small pool looked inviting, although I didn't get a chance to use it, and I enjoyed the infused water placed throughout. I also was grateful for the vanity amenities, like the hair brushes and hair ties - things that many other places fail to provide. I would gladly return.

Google
Wonderful facilities and friendly staff. I love the fact you can order something to eat and relax without leaving the spa area.

Google
This spa would be good if you are in town staying at the hotel, but I don’t feel like this is a destination spa. For the price, and compared to other luxury spas, these facilities really didn’t impress me. I prefer a place with a dim relaxing vibe, lower lighting, and a little more space. They have a sauna, steam room, whirlpool, waiting room and shower room. The sauna and steam room and really small, if there are two people in there you don’t want to go in. There is no real relaxation space, the waiting room for the appointments is maybe 6-7 long lounge chairs and they all face each other in a circle so it is kinda awkward and not that relaxing. It’s also where everyone just sits until they are called back, there’s no other place to sit and relax. I also upgraded to the BR facial, I had that product before and had amazing results. Unfortunately this facial wasn’t the same. It was fine, but no major results.

Yelp
Today I came for my belated birthday massage and had a great one which it was desperately needed. I had Alexis and she incorporated standing on my back into the massage. I've never had in all my massages someone walking on my back. It was surprising at first but then I got used it. So if you are looking for a bit more, request Alexis. As with all the services, the room was tranquil and warm and she offered a variety of oils to your liking - complimentary of course!

Yelp
I mean just average. It fell far short of expectations. The service was subpar. The ambiance was not as serene as advertised, Quite a few thing's disrupted my massage. The massage itself was mediocre, lacking the skilled touch and attention to detail expected from a luxury establishment. Additionally, the staff seemed disinterested in all and rushed, further diminishing the overall experience. For the premium price charged, I expected a much higher level of quality and professionalism. Unfortunately, I left feeling more stressed than when I arrived. Not my type of atmosphere to unwind at all.

Yelp
I have been here twice now while in Chicago. The first time was not a great experience but this second time was much better. The absolute highlight of the second visit was my technician, Jessica. As I told her when I left, I usually have 2 massages a month at similar establishments but this was probably the best I've had all year. Clearly very experienced. Whereas some technicians will either get very clinical or too relaxation focused without addressing tension, Jessica really understood how to balance the two in a way that I left feeling perfectly relaxed but also that my tension had really been addressed. 10/10 for Jessica, will absolutely request her for my service the next time I am in town. Not a huge facility at least in terms of the men's lounge, but very clean and perfectly functional. Would benefit from some additional amenities. At the price and for what you see at comparable spas, there should be hot tea, hot and cold towels, nuts and dried fruit. Pretty standard but missing here. They have a gas fireplace but it wasn't on, which I think would have been nice on a 19-degree December day. I appreciate that the TV was removed from the men's lounge. On my first visit, the TV was blaring with Kitchen Nightmares which is not really how I picture a relaxing spa experience. When the guest who was watching it left, I turned the TV off then came out of the shower to find it on again. The staff member who was watching the lounge came to me to say I could put on any channel I wanted but that I couldn't turn it off or other guests would complain. Nobody else was there and anyone was welcome to watch anything they want, I'm pretty sure he was hanging out in there watching tv while things were slow.

Yelp
Shellac mani/pedi was fantastic and each step was done with meticulous care. Also a plus, the space was intimate (2 stations) and the nail techs were long-standing employees, conversational, and very kind. Will surely return on my next visit to Chicago.

Yelp
I've belonged to more health clubs in my life, than I have fingers and toes. Few stand out (The Century West Club, Century City, Ca - 1980 in particular), many don't! Having just transplanted to Chicago from Los Angeles, a dear friend recommended The Waldorf Astoria Spa. So, I did a walk through and I was impressed and I joined. Not until I started using this spa, did I realize the extent of elegance, pristine condition, extraordinary amenities and helpful and gracious staff this health facility had. I was blown away. Everything here just works - in the best of ways: The exercise equipment, saunas, jacuzzi, locker room, quiet room, lotions, razors, robes, towels, sandals, just everything was spot on! I enjoy coming here so much, this L.A. boy will end up being in better shape here in Chicago than in sunny Southern California. Thank you Waldorf Astoria Spa!

Yelp
I had an excellent experience here. I did the 1 hour signature massage with Tina. From arrival to exit, the staff was so kind and helpful and the amenities were great. The locker room is well stocked with water and includes a jacuzzi, steam room, and sauna. Lots of lockers with built-in combination locks, good robes, and a relaxation room with snacks to rest in before and after your massage. Tina did a great job with my massage and I felt very relaxed after it was over. Would definitely return!

Yelp
OMG thank for for the spa. We really needed a spa day and we had a great one here. The massage was AMAZING! The therapist was so nice, and made sure I was comfortable. The facilities are clean! Like sparkaling clean. We used the pool, which was booked only for us. And had lunch on the terrace. 5/5, loved it.

Yelp
I was greeted by Christiam the valet upon arrival. What a lovely person! I am a control freak and he just started taking my stuff out of the car , which usually would have bothered me however, Christiam was so pleasant i thought just let him do it ! & mentally i switched to vaca mode ! my two day spa trip has started , now! What a great 2 days! Thank you

Yelp
One would think that a business that charges what they do would inform customers before they book an expensive spa experience and massage that half their facilities aren't available. Not the Waldorf! Only after going back were we informed the sauna and steam room isn't working. No reason given. Found out from another guest it hadn't been working for awhile and they had been waiting on parts. This was my first and will be my only experience there. The only saving grace was the massage. However, that was overshadowed by the pushy attendant. Paid good money for an underwhelming experience and left disappointed. Do better!

Yelp
One of the best massages I've had. I just had a 30 minute spot massage and it was one of the fastest I've had. Would happily pay for a much longer version. Also maybe because it was just after things reopened from covid but the spa was pretty empty. I only saw a few people throughout my time there.

Sel P.

Yelp
Very safe. The atmosphere is what I was looking for - relaxing, luxurious but not pretentious, and our massage therapists were fantastic. They had warm cider a and water in the lobby. We added scalp massages - definitely recommend. You need to have your face mask on the whole time so keep that in mind as the room gets warm. Best to wear your breathable option that day.

Yelp
I made an appointment for The Waldorf Astoria Spa for the first time, and I decided to get myself a 60 minute Silkpeel Facial. I was able to utilize the spa amenities all day, so I decided to come in a couple hours early for ultimate relaxation. I started at their gym, which I really enjoyed. I used the stair master and free weights. There were a few other people using the gym as well, and they had a personal trainer with a client working out as well. I loved that the machines all had water bottles already in the cup holders, along with clean rolled up towel in most of the machines. After getting my sweat on, I quickly changed into my suit to go take a dip in the pool. I absolutely LOVED the pool. I was lucky enough to have it to myself, and it is a great size for doing some laps. Towels are provided in the pool area, and there are even some lounge chairs and a table if you wanted to enjoy lunch. Although I did not want to leave the pool, I decided to check out the Jacuzzi as well before my appointment. I grabbed a citrus water and took a dip in the Jacuzzi. The citrus water was so refreshing and I was lucky enough to get the Jacuzzi to myself. I did notice that the steam room was not available, it was under construction I believe. I was a little bummed about that because I was looking forward to it, but they did have a sauna available as a backup. I took a shower after the Jacuzzi and the rainfall shower head was AMAZING. I did not want to step out, and the shampoo/conditioner and soaps had a lovely smell to them as well. After utilizing the amenities, it was time for my Silk Peel Facial. I got in my robe and headed to the relaxation area, where lounge chairs, blankets, snacks and coconut infused water. I snacked on the dried blueberries/pineapples, and the granola that was available. The coconut infused water was so so delicious and refreshing. Right at the time of my appointment, Nicole came out to show me to the room to start. The facial itself was so relaxing and the heated bed was a nice touch. My esthetician kept me informed each step of the way, and my 60 minutes FLEW by. I could have stayed there all day. The microdermabrasion tool that was used for the SilkPeel was awesome, and a week later my skin still feels so smooth. I also appreciated that Nicole gave me written recommendations on how to better care for my skin, with certain products to look for. When it was time to pay, like another reviewer had mentioned, they do just outright ask if 20% is okay to charge. I definitely was going to give Nicole 20% (and actually round up), but it is just a bit awkward to ask (and in the end she ended up losing a bit more of a tip, since I would have rounded up had I been given the option to write it in on my own). Overall I highly recommend coming to the Waldorf Spa to treat yourself to some 'me-time'. I also suggest anyone to come early so you can fully enjoy alll the amenities offered (and bring a suit!). :)

Yelp
Last Tuesday I visited the Waldorf Astoria Spa. I had a wonderful massage with Alyssa at the Chicago location. I have had massages all over The United States & Europe, and I haven't had one better than this. The atmosphere, aroma and music were very soothing and relaxing. From the time I walked off the elevator, about 10 minutes before my service was to begin, I instantly forgot about everything outside the building. I had originally changed my booking date and time one week prior and had an opportunity to speak with Kelly the manager. She was extremely professional and very accommodating. She really took her time and talked with me about the Spa. The Spa layout is very inviting and also had lunch there. Each area was cleaned immediately after client use to ensure sanitization. The use of the Spa facility included a lap pool, fitness center with numerous treadmills, ellipticals, stationary bikes weights and more. There spa also has a hot-tub and both steam and dry saunas. I would highly recommend this Spa to anyone who wants to be treated royally. My plan is to visit whenever I am in Chicago and take my husband along to enjoy the facility.

Yelp
Love the spas at Waldorf locations. This one in Chicago is one of the smaller spas I've been to. The amenities are limited and there aren't that many spaces to sit and relax (compared to other locations I've been to). Because of the set up and proximity, it can get a little loud hearing people chat in the locker rooms or blow dry their hair. The showers are as amazing as people say. Massage rooms are quiet and private. Very relaxing. My masseuse was wonderful and not overly chatty. She created a great environment to relax in.

Yelp
I received a gift card from my husband for this place and decided to book a 90 minute signature massage at 1:30pm on MLK day. I arrived at 12:15pm and was greeted at the front desk by two young ladies. One of them escorted me toward the locker room, pointing out restrooms, the jacuzzi, steam room, sauna, showers, relaxation room, and finally a locker. She opened several until she found one with a robe and slippers. After placing all my items in that locker I find that the lock wasn't working so I had to transfer all my belongings to the locker next to it. No big deal. I change my clothes, find the citrus water. and head into the relaxation room where there was one other person in there on her phone. I guess the "No cell phone" sign only applies to the locker room area? At least she wasn't distracting. I found a little snack bar, grab a plate of chia sticks, find a comfy lounger, sit down, open the blanket, wrapping it around my legs and tucked in my feet. There was soft music in the background and just the right amount of lighting. I had read somewhere that it's a good idea to warm up the muscles 15 minutes before a massage so I decided to go into the sauna. I sat there thinking it was like being in Las Vegas during the summer and I hate heat. So I thought...maybe I should go into the steam room instead just to sweat out the toxins. So I head in there, not being able to see anything, and when the door closed the smell and steam overwhelmed me. It was a little hard to breath so I stepped out in less than 10 sec. I tried again, but this time I told myself I should stay for at least 5 min. so I walk in, use a towel to breath in and out, and thought...heck no...I'm outta here. I'm so glad no one else was there because that whole ordeal would have been embarrassing! I head back to the relaxation room and wait for my service. A little pass 1:30 my masseuse came to get me. She was friendly and asked me some questions before we got started, which included choosing my preferred scent. The massage itself was just ok. She didn't do the expose and tuck thing a lot masseuses do which I think was fine. I don't think my gluteus maximus was massaged, nor were my hands. My feet got a little bit of a massage but the pressure was very light compared to the pressure given to my back. I admit I did fall asleep a few times so it had to be relaxing, right? The massage ended and when I got up to look at my watch it was exactly 3pm. Talk about spending exactly 90 minutes with a client from lounge to exit. I was given a glass of water and a piece of chocolate. I was then escorted back to the lounge where I laid back down, oily legs and all. As I laid there a worker came in and refolded the blankets on the chairs and I thought...so someone else is going to use the same blanket I just used to wrap my legs and feet. Kinda Gross. So I decided I needed to take a shower and I'm glad I did because that shower head is da bomb. Probably the highlight of the spa. By this time there were a lot more women in the locker room and boy do they talk! It was no longer the quiet serenity it once was a few hours ago so if you book, make it before 3pm. When I left to check out I asked them where the pool was located. I was told it was pass the gym at the end of the hall. I went to check it out and it was just like it looked in the picture, small and narrow. I doubt I'll be back here because the place is way too overpriced. I was told the 20% gratuity is usually added but I could decide whether or not I agreed to it. Although I've had better massages before and never tipped $57, I just ok. Luckily the gift card covered it all. Thanks, Hubby!

Yelp
The whole process was a pleasure. Making the appointments, check in, the spa area and the services were excellent. They even brought us champagne out for my sister's birthday. Very welcoming environment. Highly recommend.

Yelp
A recent weekend trip to Chicago left my wife and I staying at the Waldorf Astoria in Chicago. Pulling up to the hotel, there was not a sea of cars waiting to be driving away by frantic valets. We were able to pull right up to the front door. The staff at the Chicago Waldorf Astoria was wonderful, informed, courteous and empowered. The room was spotless, we were upgraded to a balcony room with fireplace and were very impressed with the craftsmanship, materials and furnishings chosen. We would definitely recommend this hotel. If not for all that it has but for all that it doesn't (crowds, noise, lines, undertrained or disinterested staff, etc). Thank you Chicago Waldorf for a wonderful weekend!

Dawn E.

Yelp
Beautiful spa. Friendly staff. There is a relaxation room that you can lounge in while waiting for your appointments. It has snacks and beverages. Large lounge chairs with blankets, very cozy. I had a facial and massage. Both ladies pleasant and very good at performing the service. Very relaxing and I felt that the massage was the right pressure. The facial she was gentle yet effective. The locker room had partial amenities which was a disappointment for the amount you spend here. There was construction and updates that were happening. You do have access to the fitness center and pool during your services. Overall, beautiful spa. A pampering experience. Definitely over priced, but you pay for the recognition. I have had same or better services elsewhere for half the cost. Glad I tried it considering the reviews.

Yelp
Hands down one of the best massages, if not the best, I've ever had. My therapist was Kara and she worked magic on my body. I jumped off the plane from vegas at noon and my body was much in need of some relax and repair. I was running off maybe two hours of sleep the previous night. I checked into my room and called down to the spa to see if they can possibly fit me in same day. Fortunately, they were able to accommodate me. When the elevator door opened, I was immediately greeted by the spa reception. The rest of the experience felt like a dream. The facilities were Waldorf standard, a spa attendant guided me around showing me the hot tub, the steam room, the sauna, bathrooms, showers, lockers, and the treatment waiting lounge. The lounge was warm and cozy. Not very big but relaxing. The refreshments area had tea, infused water, and a very cute display of nuts and berries on individual spoons. Kara started off my treatment with presenting a variety of aromatherapy scents, from which I chose lavender. Once I was on the massage table, I melted. It was almost like a phenomenonal out of body experience. All the vegas toxins from the alcohol, dining, gambling, jet lag, were swept away by Kara's masterful hands. It was the most soothing massage I've had. I like medium firm pressure and she was spot on. Besides her skillful technique, she was also extremely warm and friendly! I told her if she ever moved to Cali, let me know because I will be a regular client. I've been to the spa at the nyc Waldorf Astoria, which was also an amazing experience. I'm so glad I did the same in Chicago! If you are a spa fan with discerning taste, this is for you.

Yelp
Absolutely fantastic. As one can imagine the WA is A top rate property with fantastic service and elegant facilities. The restaurant is exceptional but very low key and relaxed. We came for our anniversary and complementary beverages were offered as we sat down. The duck wings and cheese selections were exceptional.

Casey J.

Yelp
We had a couples massage recently and the whole process from scheduling to the actual massage was easy and enjoyable. I liked the aromatherapy options as they had more then just the traditional lavender or eucalyptus, I went with a rose scent. The steam room was so helpful to ease the dry and cold from that January day.

Anonymous A.

Yelp
Extreme disappointment..... if you've never been to a spa you'd probably like it here. It was clean with an awesome shower and a steam roomm/hot tub. The lockers were extremely cramped... touching people as you get dressed..... the lounge/wait room has nothing to read. The front desk staff was warm and welcoming. ........ beware.... they push services/upgrades. I don't want to be sold..... I'm fine paying for an upgrade but don't make me feel sold..... the esthetician Jenn lathered stuff on my face in a cold unwarming manner..... she probably should warm up as a human being or leave the service industry..... no extractions we're done. This is about the level of the rest of this waldorf- over priced and mediocre for a 5 star hotel. (Disclaimer: I stayed at four seasons and visited the chuen spa with zero complaints, only magnificent things to say).

Yelp
*DON'T GET YOUR NAILS DONE HERE' My overall experience has been great and would continue to come here but have decided to spend my money else where where I will get quality service in all aspects and not just some. First of all the spa here is beautiful and relaxing as soon as you step in! LOVE Dream Dry had the best blow out (because of my experience from now on I'll be going to the Lincoln Park location instead). I've also had great eyebrow waxes and facials here, aestheticians seem to be very knowledgeable and are extremely nice and pleasant to talk to. Their smoothies are tasty too! So that's where my 2 stars go to. (Wish I could give more!) The reason for my bad review is that I've received 3 terrible no chip manis here, (first time spa manager did credit my account to receive another no chip to 'really experience what a true no chip mani is at the spa'.) However quality is same overall, nail shaping is good, cuticles are not cut even, and the painting itself is horrible leaving polish uneven, bubbly, chipping after a few days. Mind you it's $60+ just for the no chip plus 20% tip added on automatically at the end The last time I was here as I was at the check out counter the receptionist (which happened to be the spa manager) saw I was not satisfied. As I showed her that once again I've received a terrible (and expensive no chip) she apologized and told me word for word 'well maybe this is just not the place for you.' I was a bit shocked but thought 'maybe it is not and I'm happy to take my money and business elsewhere.' Mind you I've been coming here for some time, brought friends + family, recommended to others because overall it really is a nice relaxing spot downtown Chicago. Also it's worth mentioning that as I was getting another service done following my no chip and told the esthetician, she also said the lady who did my nails other customers constantly complain about her too....such a great spot and I don't understand how they can hire unqualified staff. Sad! I'll be going somewhere else from now on and if you are planning to get your nails done here, don't! There are many other salons in the area who will do a better job for a lot less.

Yelp
My husband and I really enjoyed our couples massage. It was affordable and well worth it. The gym and pool was a nice add on after our services. We will definitely be back!

Ellie P.

Yelp
I got a couples massage for my boyfriend and I for our anniversary. It was the best massage I've ever received. With tip you're looking at $450 for two, but I promise you it's worth every penny. My masseuse Alyssa had the perfect pressure the whole time and focused on the areas I asked for. My boyfriend says his masseuse Jennifer was also great. I really liked the aromatherapy options as well. That was so nice!! They also game us Champaign for our anniversary and chocolate and water. The dressing room is also spectacular with a great comfy robe!!

Anne B.

Yelp
Love this place so much. Best spa and gym in the city. Ross and his whole team make everything perfect.

Yelp
It was a long time fantasy to have a spa day at Waldorf Astoria, which turned out to be a gravely expensive disappointment. I couldn't book a couples massage, so my girlfriend and I got separate one hour massages and manicures. I also booked her for a 45 minute Brazilian. My girlfriend said it was the most painful wax she ever had and that in the time allotted, the tech still didn't complete the work. The technician made lots of excuses during the session, placing blame on my girlfriend. She also made her assume unprofessional positions for the hair removal. The spa deducted this service from the bill. Our nail technician had a cold and was constantly blowing her nose during the session and then making hand contact with us. She said it was allergies, but the way she was coughing and sniffling. It was definitely a cold...which I now have, thank you. With the level of intimacy of a spa, employees should be encouraged to achieve their own wellness before contaminating guests, right? My masseuse explained that this was her second career, and it was evidenced from her lack of confidence. The massage was mediocre. My expectations was for the money I was paying to have work done by someone who was an expert in her field. The website boasts access to jacuzzis in the locker room, but it had been out of order for two weeks and they had no idea when it would be available to guests. Why would fixing a luxury item like a jacuzzi not be a priority for a property like Waldorf Astoria? The "relaxation" room had a football game on which is more like being in someone's living room than it is an oasis of relaxation. There was a water dispenser with citrus and another boasting coconut water, neither of which tasted like what was inside; the coconut water tasted like sugar, in fact. The soaps provided in the shower area dried my skin and I've been moisturizing for the past two days to get my own skin back. Finally, the bill had an additional $84 put onto it, I guess as gratuity, but I just wondered for whom? For $420, we both got exactly one hour for a massage and our hands done. Anyway, I'm shocked by the absence of attention to detail and lack of pursuit of excellence from this property. I cannot recommend.

Yelp
My husband and I celebrated our 5 year anniversary with a couples massage. My husband wanted to be fancy and booked the spa at Waldorf Astoria (he debated between Langham and here and decided to go here since I'm a spa girl and have already been to Chuan spa at Langham) The date that we went (5/5), the pool was in renovations, which was a bummer. I mean we paid top dollar (over $400 for couples massage including tip) for services AND to use the facility amenities. That's why a hotel can charge such exorbitant fee compared to just a standalone spa. We only kept the appt because we figured we can use the jacuzzi, sauna, and steam room. Well, when we arrived, not only was the pool not working, but ALL said amenities were down. Now THAT is a total shame. For $400, I could have gone to a fine dining restaurant or another top notch spa facility.... Anyway, from what I remembered, the massage was mediocre. We were in a room in TOTAL COMPLETE SILENCE. It was the most awkward thing because I can hear the massage therapists rubbing oil on our bodies and massaging.... The facility being under renovation was out of their control (though the whole no music thing was strange). We asked for free spa passes to return to use their amenities for a future date. Fast forward to 8/7. It was my birthday and I decided to take a girlfriend of mine from out of town to use the facility amenities. The days prior, I excitedly texted her the spa website info and showed her the pool jacuzzi etc. When we arrived, we told the front desk gentlemen we had passes to use the amenities. Well, he said "oh our pool is broken and so is the jacuzzi." I ask "then what is working? We made a trip all the way down here and the websites mentioned nothing." He said "the sauna and steam room only. There was a leak in it. Next time you should call before you come in just to double check." WOW. I have never been told to call ahead just to make sure everything is in working order. Should I expect nothing to work each time I plan to go? The first time we went (on our actual anniversary) was permissible; unfortunately that date was my wedding anni and I couldn't change that. But to have the facility be broken down that many times is not world class service and not good for patrons. I'm a spa person- I've been to many facilities and hotels all around the nation. This is the worst experience I've ever had at a spa. I did ask for another pass to go back to use the amenities yet again in the future. And I definitely will be calling.......

Yelp
High end spa, very clean and well stocked with whatever you may need. Very friendly staff. The hot tub had a few missing tiles. The changing area/lockers are very tight and cramped. The relaxation area was anything but relaxing. It was packed with women most of which seemed to know one another and talked/laughed the entire time I was in the relaxation room. I was in the relaxation room twice, same each time. Not relaxing at all. Nice pool and exercise area. Services are quite expensive and for the most part were very good. Did not like the spa automatically adds a 20% gratuity to your bill. As a patron I feel I should be able to tip according to how I feel the services are, not the spa spend my money how they deem fit. After spending $1,200.00 on services for my daughter and myself, I can determine how much of a gratuity I am leaving, the spa doesn't need to add for me. While I think the spa is very nice it does not warrant the prices they charge and the automatic 20% gratuity they add to your bill.

Yelp
They offer the best facials in the city. The Silk Peel facial is totally worth every penny, I highly recommend it!

Yelp
We booked 5 massages for Friday afternoon and it was a great experience for each and all of us. Three gentlemen and two ladies attended the spa and enjoyed 90-minute massages (tho mine was 60 minutes) as well as enjoyed the facilities insofar as hot pool/spa, showers and lounge area. The day before, a couple of us enjoyed the exercise facility--very clean and with everything you need for a solid workout. Ok, back to the massages. All spoke quite highly about their respective Massuesse--but let me just say a few things about mine. I feel very fortunate to have had Laurel, as she was the most pleasant spirit I've come across. We actually chatted most of the session while she was digging deep to rid my body of knots and stress. And let me tell you, aside from Laurel being about as sweet as she could be, her massage technique and form was outstanding. She worked and worked and worked and the results speak for themselves. I have no pain as a result of the massage and simply feel fantastic. Thank you, Laurel, and best wishes to you in life's exciting journey.

Yelp
My husband and I are Hilton Diamond Members and love staying at the Waldorf properties. This was our first time to the spa here in Chicago. The staff is amazing! Anna at the front desk had champagne and veggies waiting for us at a lovely table before our treatments. I had a massage by Abby she was amazing and so professional. The treatment released so much stress and tension in my shoulders and back. I feel great. The technician that did my facial the service was good my skin looks great..BUT she talked the entire hour so loudly I left the facial more stressed than when I arrived for it. I told her I wanted to relax and that it was too loud in the room and she just KEPT TALKING the entire hour. I called the SPA to let them know later that she talked the entire time and this was not relaxing. My husband had a massage and facial and loved every minute.

Yelp
I keep forgetting to post about my wonderful experience here! This is a true spa... all amenities, amazing customer service, escape from reality kind of place. . The pedicure I had, and I wish I remembered her name, was one of the best I have ever had. She was lovely, loved her job & where she is at in life. Anyone local who needs a day to escape- go here. Visiting from out of town, definitely top notch. I will be back!

Yelp
Such a beautiful spot. The woman's locker room had not only a whirlpool but also a steam room and sauna with cool towels for after! This place is truly luxury. I had my facial with Nicole, she had amazing skin and gave me great advice. Being an esthetician myself I could tell she was very knowledgable and had many years experience in the field. I look forward to coming back and visiting Nicole again soon. Good work Waldorf!

Yelp
I highly recommend getting a massage (I had the Muscle Repair - it's a deep, deep tissue massage) by Mark. He was outstanding! I had my appointment after having been traveling for more than a week, being on my feet for 10+ hours a day and needed something to help ease the pain. I had a 90 minute session booked and wish it could have been longer.

Yelp
Booked the Romance package and was not disappointed at all! We had such relaxing couples massages then pedicures, Stephanie was amazing as she gave my boyfriend a pedicure and was such a nice lady as well, we ordered food and it was late, they were sure to not charge us for the food and offered us champagne as we waited! Such a wonderful memorable experience, the Waldorf Astoria lives up to its name in excellent hospitable service!

Yelp
I was part of a group that booked 5 massages this past Friday afternoon. I was accompanied by a friend and his father (who was staying at the hotel). We arrived to the spa and were greeted very warmly by the front desk staff. We were escorted into the men's locker room and shown the facilities. Arriving 35 minutes before our appointment, we were able to take full advantage of the amenities available to us. The locker room was very clean and allowed ample room for the 3 of us in the changing area and the hot tub/spa. The experience leading up to the massage was as good as the massage itself. Our entire group enjoyed our time with our massage therapists. It was by far one of, if not the best massages I had. The therapist was very attentive and listened to what I wanted worked on. I could not be more pleased with the 90 minutes I had. Worth every penny. Like most things at the Waldorf Astoria, the Spa and massage itself was second to none. I will definitely be back.

Yelp
I fear posting my true opinion of this spa will Lee me from ever going again, but in the spirit of wanting great success to come to those I favor here goes....Mark Ward is by far the BEST massage therapist in town. This guy knows where to find the tough spots and gives it his all. I have followed Mark since the 90's and rediscovered him at the Waldorf Astoria spa a few years ago. Jackpot! The spa is well appointed with a sauna, steam and Whirlpool. The showers have rain shower heads and the products are decent. They supply fresh brushes and hair products if you are in need. The locker room is rarely busy, which is nice for taking your time. One thing to note, don't go when there is a wedding party using the spa. It won't be the relaxing experience you will find when you have the place to yourself.

Yelp
Awesome facial and massage. Definitely my favorite place to go to relax when I'm stress... Can't wait to get another facial....

Yelp
Probably the most luxurious and relaxing experience I've had at a spa. Every fine detail has been attended to here - you will not be disappointed with how much you spent on a massage, this I promise you. Whether you need a gift for your hunny or are looking for some "me time" this is the place to go. On top of it, my 90 minute massage was nothing short of amazing. I felt like a million bucks walking out of there!

Yelp
Had to say I was so looking forward to the spa services here and high expectation but was disappointed the spa it's self was very nice staff was not a very friendly . When I was introduced to my person which she was very nice I was not asked if I had any problems or anything bothering me let alone if I was pregnant , about a quarter way into the service I had mentioned to my girl was it ok if we did a portion since I was infact pregnant and she was a little turned off by why I didn't say something sooner - first off that her the spa responsibility at all the spas I have gone to in the city which have been many that is one of the first things they ask you.. second when I was checking out was turned off by the fact the women told me there was an automatic 20%gratuity that would be added ?? What are you kidding me I'm sorry but this should be something I should decide not the spa and definitely not at the end when I am checking out . Looks like I will be getting my spa treatment ls going forward at the four seasons much better experience . Not to mention I had a bad experience earlier last year when we were going to book our wedding suite and block of rooms here ended up not doing it as we got the old bait and switch when we went to sign our contract and was turned off by how rude and unprofessional the woman was that handled everything needless to say we did not end up getting the suite

Yelp
Always a great spa experience, wonderful service and top line services. Highly recommend the silkpeel facial. Great instant but also long lasting results. Completely worth the cost.

Yelp
Beautiful property. Looks so different from all of the other buildings. I stayed in the Waldorf Suite and it was lovely. The room was large, clean and so insulated you won't hear anything outside of the room. The staff was friendly and helpful. My kids were given a special stuffed walrus which is a mascot for the Waldorf...just a nice touch.

Yelp
The best spa in Chicago hands down. Lived in the city for ten years and have never had a bad service at the Waldorf. I've recommended this spa to numerous friends and they have ALWAYS had glowing reviews. The ambiance is fabulous, the services are always the best, product recommendations are personalized and not pushed in a sales-y way. All in all, perfect spa.

Yelp
Thank you Mariela!!! The last year I've experienced more acne breakouts, fine lines, and dry/dull skin...not the same skin I'm used to seeing! I am usually very hesitant to get facials since my skin is so sensitive, but also knew it was time to make a change. I asked around and heard Mariela at the Waldorf Spa was the girl to see...and I am so glad I found her! My skin/beauty guru. I like treating myself to full hour facials for best results, but even half hour with Mariela and I get my radiant glow back. I'm addicted! She knows all the best products and is educated on top procedures/treatments for maintaining healthy youthful skin. I consider it the best investment in ME all the way. And considering it's the Waldorf spa prices aren't as bad as I thought. Never experienced a break out after a session which is a god send. I'm able to actually let her do what she wants/recommends and be confident she knows what is best for my skin. Silk peel is changing my complexion and even helping with fine lines in forehead etc. it's like a deep cleaning for your face! Love it can't wait for my next appt.

Yelp
My MIL, sister-in-law and myself went for a spa day and we all agreed it blew away our expectations. We usually do a spa weekend each year but decided to stay local this year. The entire experience was amazing. I even booked another spa day for just myself for next month!

Yelp
I had such a wonderful experience at The Waldorf Astoria Spa. I received two services, the signature massage and signature facial. The massage was wonderful with the perfect amount of pressure and comfort. What I was so excited to review about was the facial. It was the best facial I have ever had! Special care was taken while feeling relaxed. I was glowing when I left. My skin feels wonderful! A five star experience for sure!

Yelp
Very beautiful spa. Peaceful and claim. They have sauna and pool. Massage was great and relax.

Yelp
Excellent! Top notch service and amenities as you'd expect from the Waldorf. I visited for a traditional manicure and was extremely pleased, from the friendly welcome at reception to the quality of service at the salon. Stephanie gave an amazing manicure, lasting well over a week looking beautiful. I will be returning for future appointments!
