Illegal Pete’s Is Bringing Its Chipotle-But-Better-Style Burritos to Park Hill | Eater Denver

"A 2,400-square-foot cidery and taproom slated to open at 4100 Jason Street will produce unfiltered Swiss-style ciders on site. While the first batches of its own cider will take a month or two, the taproom will initially serve ciders from other Colorado producers (some of which will remain available after the transition), and it will also sell coffee from Mad Loon Coffee Roasters." - Paul Albani-Burgio

Fun little cidery with a cool, relaxed vibe. I had a sweet cider with beetroot that was amazing and my wife a dry that she also really liked. We also had a pesto and tomato flatbread sprinkled with balsamic vinegar that was so good I almost ordered another! Great music (not live, just over speakers ) and friendly people made this our best stop of the day!

This place is awesome! I saw a really funny comedy show there that they have once a month. Seems like they have a lot of cool events going on. I'm a coffee snob, they roast their own beans, and my latte was very good. The food was also delicious. I got some cider to go and another home run. To top it off the staff was phenomenal. I will definitely be back.

I recently visited Waldschänke Ciders & Coffee in Denver and had a generally positive experience. Here’s a breakdown. What I liked: The coffee was good — I’d give it a 4 out of 5. The food was tasty and well done; the European-inspired kitchen hits the mark with a cozy vibe and thoughtful flavors. The space is welcoming and relaxed, true to their “simple, honest, full of heart” philosophy. Location: comfortable setting, easy to make yourself at home. What could be improved: I love dogs and appreciate pet-friendly businesses, but I noticed dogs being brought inside the café. Because this is a food & drink service area, this is a health-code issue. To preserve the great quality and friendly atmosphere, it might be wise for the business to clarify or enforce a policy about pets in the indoor seating area. Overall I will definitely be back — it’s a solid spot for coffee, food, and a laid-back time. With a small improvement in clarity around their pet policy, Waldschänke could enhance the comfort and safety of all guests.

Delicious ciders and food! Love that it's also a coffee shop. This would be a great place for me to set up shop on my laptop to get some work done. Loved the Purple Rain, Limoncello Ginger, and Pearadox ciders the most! Holy smokes, the Kase Spatzle (swiss mac and cheese) was amazing! Loved the soft pretzel. Classic. But I personally didn't enjoy the dipping sauce. (Pretzel was still good on its own).

Love the food, service and atmosphere. Came here multiple times for both breakfast and dinner on my last trip out to Colorado. A great hidden gem. Their coffee is great, they are extremely dog friendly (there seemed to always be a furry friend waiting in line to get their dog treat, while I was ordering my coffee), and their dinner and breakfast menus were both fantastic. I loved the Swiss Breakfast Rösti and the cider doughnuts, and for dinner, the Cheese Spätzle was incredible.

This spot has an excellent variety of ciders. There are all types of fruity flavors and I most recently tried the cherry which was delicious. The ambiance here is great whether you’re with a group, on a date, or even by yourself.
