Google
This is a standard Walgreens, with the pharmacy that closes a little early. Some Walgreens have a small clinic just inside the front door, this one does not. The pharmacy closes at lunchtime, so plan accordingly.

Me and my sister walked into the store looking for helping getting shampoo and conditioner that would be good for our hair. We didn’t know where to start so we asked for help from an employee called Victoria. She was the sweetest, and explained hair care and the products she showed us very well. We only needed help with shampoo and conditioner but she offered to help if we needed other products for our hair.

Google
Walgreens has discriminatory practices when simply trying to refill prescriptions issued by my doctor. I was spoken to rudely and denied a 90 day supply of my medication. I was told to complain to corporate. People are so unnecessarily inconsiderate these days. I moved all of my prescriptions to Walmart and had zero problems. I suggest everyone move there where they respect patients.

Yssa and Vicky were extremely kind and helpful in making sure I could select and receive my photos immediately.

I went to cvs and couldn’t find what I was looking for even though it said in stock on their website. Came here instead and found it. It was $1 more than other retailers but I made an online account and got $3 off. The staff was nice and the line moved quickly.

Donna and Vanessa are the most helpful people, I love them both. The pharmacists and the staff are very very friendly and they are knowledgeable. Even if I move south of here, this will remain my pharmacy. Love this walgreens. I'm definitely forgetting some names but they're all great people.

I have visited this place on 05Dec2019 to buy medicines and other stuff. This store also have FEDEX pick up and DropOff service. People who works here are nice and customer friendly. I feel comfortable to do shopping here. Nice place to buy your medicines and other stuff. Perfumes are cheaper here.

Walgreens associates Stephanie and Charles were very helpful to me in quickly filling and discussing my prescriptions

Yelp
I really like this nice neighborhood Walgreens.  I was greeted when I walked in and was happily surprised to see a check-out counter in the cosmetic department.  Even a lot of larger and visible stores lack that. It's terrific! The pharmacy has 3 windows plus a separate window down a few feet, to help customers.  I was there to get advice on choosing a product.  The employee called the pharmacist; she patiently listened to me and explained what I needed. She didn't act rushed or annoyed at my ignorance. The store has the regular promotions: buy 1 get 1 free and buy 1 get 1, 50% off, on certain vitamins, supplements, etc. There is also a photo lab and a standard large holiday section. I think I may transfer my prescriptions here.

Yelp
They twice told me my script with be filled only to get there and it not be even in stock. Then they tried to charge quadruple Randall's price for a script. Y'all suck

Yelp
YES- you must wear a mask before coming in. YES- they do check if you wear one as the cashier is literally at the entrance and can see everyone walk in. Will they turn you away if you don't have a mask.... DONT KNOW. Hours seem to be the same here. Every staff member wears a mask. They also have Q-Tips near the credit card reader so you don't have to touch the machine and don't have to worry about germs. The pharmacy is doing regular hours as well and also all had masks. There are stickers on the floor that are 6 feet apart that form a line at the pharmacy. I love this Walgreens, the people are always nice to me!

Yelp
I visited the Walgreens at Mesa drive mostly to pick up my wife. The Halloween section caught my eye. Staff here was friendly and helpful, the weather outside was awful and raining. The store was clean and the Pharmacy is awesome. Much nicer then Duvall location and cleaner too. You should go to this Walgreens if you have to go to a Walgreens

Yelp
I purchased items online for shipping to local Walgreens, Dorsey assisted me at pickup location. He is so nice and helpful. Great customer service. I also dropped items off at a Pharmacy, be patient. They are under staffed and during flu season, hard to keep up. If you are dropping off prescription make sure to use drop off window. Pharmacy employees are nice though.

Yelp
A HUGE shout out to Jessi, Assistant Manager at Walgreens on Mesa Drive. Excellent customer service above and beyond! She stepped in without being asked to fix a photo problem I did not know she could fix. And simply treated me like nice neighbor would. Thank you Jessi for being YOU and being such a good representative for Walgreens!

Yelp
First, I would like to start off by thanking the front store staff for everything! They are wonderful. Shout out to you Jessi and Rebecca. They are so knowledgeable and awesome. For the pharmacy staff... I can't believe how bad it is. I'm a very patient and understanding person but this behavior honestly scares me. Shame on you. I was in line waiting to pick up a prescription and I saw Donna and Nichole talking and eating while there was a long line. Especially Nicole. They ate without masks or sanitizing and touched the computers and prescriptions. and talked with food in their mouth. I hope their coughing was from the food because they were carelessly coughing on someone's prescription. This pharmacy must be so understaffed because I was waiting for at least 45 minutes. Nicole kept going on about some trip she took to a customer she left us standing waiting for her. My health isn't well and I nearly passed out waiting. I will not be coming back. Donna helped with other customers since the pharmacist was talking so long but she encouraged the conversation, joining in and telling someone in front of me that they were looking for their prescription. However no one was looking for it. I was watching the employee in the front was helping others, apologizing to them for the wait while they were talking about this trip. No matter how enjoyable this trip was it was inappropriate to talk about and leave me and others waiting for such a long time. I am speaking to the higher up's of Walgreens and Im planning to take this to court. Donna's passiveness and Nicole's carelessness is not only concerning but dangerous. I warn others, please take your medication and safety to another pharmacy, it's malpractice taking place at this location. It saddens me to say this but I worry for others well being, and I genuinely don't feel like they are right for this profession. Even typing that terrifies me. I wish safety for every future customer. God bless you

Yelp
This is a particularly well-organized Walgreens. It always has what I'm looking for in both the pharmacy section and the general grocery/miscellaneous stuff. The staff is super helpful - they always check in to see whether I need help finding something. The pharmacy staff is great, too. They're quick when I'm waiting and they're able to resolve all the oddball questions I have about my prescriptions.

Yelp
My go to place for many useful and useless things. Cosmetics are always on sale. Several weeks ago, I found mascara for $2.79. It's not my usual department store brand but I can't tell much difference. Today, after lurking on the Yelp dry skin thread, I found the JASON Vitamin E creme at 20% off. (Thank you Edith P.) There are two aisles devoted to birthday cards and many of the musical variety. I am a devoted greeting card fan thanks to Hallmark's brainwashing. Walgreen's has a nice kitchen and bath aisle that I peruse at times. Recently, I located the new model non-slip silicone grip Ove Glove! Woooo! After Christmas, I find funny stuffed singing oddities for my family's annual White Elephant party. The $3.00 polar bear singing White Christmas in a Dean Martin voice has been my favorite. Right outside, is a Red Box with $1.00 movies. So easy to swing by during off hours for a late night new release. (Sorry, no porn.) The employees are always helpful and pleasant. One check out guy is a little odd. He is completely over-the-top friendly but do not try to friend him back. You will get an icy stare. He can only friend you. You can't friend him. What the what?

Yelp
This Walgreens freaks me the hell out. It's exactly opposite of the one I used to go to all the time on Justin and Lamar. Instead of the drink coolers being to the left, they're to the right. Instead of Topo Chico mineral water, they have Perrier. Instead of all the employees looking homicidal, they look downright peppy. That's about all that I saw because I only went to the drink cooler and check out. But that was enough to weird me out on this Walgreens. I like weird though. 4 stars! -1 star for Walgreens being open 365 days a year. That's just mean. At least give your employees Thanksgiving or New Years Eve or something. Close damnit!

Yelp
Usually has good service. Like any Walgreens, it tends to run on the pricey side, unless they're running a special. The pharmacy is slow, though. The clientele tends to run an interesting gamut between the Geriatric American community and smart-aleck looking pseudo-preppy kids. This population mixture creates for a demonic parking lot. But for candy, drinks, and drugstore items, it's an A-OK alternative.
google avatar

Leigh W.

Yelp
This Walgreens had a pretty good selection of products. It took a while to get a second cashier to the front to speed up the check out process. The parking lot was very crowded and hard to exit. This location has a Red Box which is very conveniently located.

Yelp
Walgreens at Mesa and Spicewood springs is the american drug store of Norman Rockwell paintings, where everytbody knows my name and shopping habits, and a bargain is never far. When I worked aroudn hte corner from here I would get $3 deerfield farms frozen pizzas and microwave them back at the office for a ridiculously cheap nutritious meal. Other times it was the bargains on pints of blue bell or candy bars. One time i got this motion powered flashlight for less than $10. In order to keep it lit you had the shake it in a vaguley masterbutory manner, which was kind of cool. Now a days I go there for the photo finishing, which has only gotten better, less expensive and faster in the intervening years. I always get a smile from the nice folks at the counter, and we all share our stories. Oh yeah, they have good prices on smokes.

Yelp
This pharmacy USED to be GREAT I have lived in the area since 2000 and had no issues up till recently. It has truely turned into a "shit show" to put it lightly. I don't write many reviews but this has gotten too frustrating for me not to speak up. GET IT TOGETHER

Yelp
Long and slow moving lines. During the flu season, I would not even get a flu shot here. The staff is rude and work as though they do not want to give a flu shot. Next time, I will go to my doctor's office - who I can trust on the flu shot.

Yelp
The pharmacist (Kristi) just helped me save hundreds of dollars by spending at least 15 minutes on the phone with me figuring out my insurance. Best service I've ever gotten from a pharmacist!

Yelp
Never fails, they either lose the prescription, or say they just "got it" when I know for a fact is was sent electronically over an hour AND I have a paper copy of script. This is why this place is starting to get more low ratings; they should really work on their wait time for meds.

Yelp
I've always gotten great service here. My only complaint is being put on hold when I call them. Not much worse than anyplace else however. I use this Walgreens exclusively.

Ran J.

Yelp
The employees here are very rude and they don't even know what the hell they're doing! They are also in a very crappy mood. Especially the once at the photo place.

Yelp
Service is hit or miss sometimes. Usually pretty good, Sometimes bad. They always seem to be understaffed, especially after about 4pm. They need to hire more people. I know that pharmacy is bringing in some serious bank!

Yelp
Worst pharmacy in Austin. Not even exaggerating. I've been called 3 times now by an automated service telling me that my prescription is ready. But, every time I go to pick it up, it's not ready!! What is wrong with these people?! The 3rd time was today, and no one seem to give a shit, except for Barton, he's the man. I waited 45 minutes for them to refill a prescription that was suppose to be ready. They said it had to do with my insurance, but why they didn't sort that out before they called me, is mind boggling. The asian lady and the african american lady in their little white coats, apparently have no idea what they are doing, nor could they care less. Barton on the other hand really hussels and truly is sympathetic about the fact that you have been wasting your day away at Walgreens. I will be getting my prescription filled somewhere else now.

Yelp
I recently had a very good experience at the pharmacy at this Walgreen's location. I'll first preface that the four stars is because they do not offer a "drive thru pharmacy", but other than that I had a great experience. First of all, I accidentally filled my prescription at a different location, however the pharmacy tech immediately told me she could refill my prescription in about 10 minutes. About 5 minutes later, they called me back to the pharmacy counter and she had filled my prescription and we were good to go. Typically when I run into problems at the pharmacy, they tell me I have to come back in 30-60 minutes, so I'm so glad they were able to help me in such a quick amount of time!

Yelp
I was referred to switch my prescriptions to Walgreens from CVS for a good cost saving. I am definitely saving a bundle over the CVS pricing. But the thing that has made a huge difference is the staff helping to keep costs down as well. They have referred me to coupons here and there that has saved me hundreds of dollars! Everyone there is great, but the pharmacy manager, Adam, always stands out. He always remembers both my and my husbands names, and is very fast in filling scripts. He also explains our orders in layman's terms so that we fully understand what we are getting and how to use it. The line for pick-up is rarely long, but when it is, the line moves super fast. I love shopping here for the price, but the staff definitely keep me coming back!!

Yelp
Mike went to extra mile to help my wife get her meds. Probably entertaining ten phone calls and professional patience when I would've simply stopped taking any more phone calls from her. In the end the results were awesome. This place is officially our pharmacy.

Yelp
The pharmacy here is terrible. They are generally rude and slow to fill prescriptions. My last prescription here was not filled in time for my surgery ... I had to scramble to get it filled (it was not anything exotic). People's pharmacy to the rescue. People's had the medicine in stock and managed to get it to me in time for my procedure. I'll never be back to this place.

Allen R.

Yelp
Very unreliable regarding having prescriptions ready on time. Long wait line to pick up prescriptions that are ready. Occasionally give wrong information regarding what other Walgreens locations have in stock the drugs that they do not have. Staff admit that their automated prescription service has problems.

Camille C.

Yelp
I just had to write a review about Itzel. She helped me with my pictures. I was printing out like 300 picture from a vacation and I couldn't get the coupon code to work, she helped me fix it!!! I can't say thank you enough, she cared enough to help and that isn't seen too often anymore! Thank you Itzel!!!!

Lisa L.

Yelp
Horrible customer service. Register reward didn't print at cosmetics, so they cancelled the order and re-rang my purchase on another register. When it was over, I was 6 dollars lighter for a $4 purchase. Rose swears by her story, but all I know is that I left with 6 dollars less than I had when I entered, for a sum of $4 worth of merchandise. The customer is always wrong here.

Yelp
I visit this walgreens almost daily. For the most part everything is fine and dandy. However, they allow almost anyone to set up a stand right at the front doors and harass you with whatever it is that they are selling when you enter the store. This is about a once a week thing. I have no problem with the girl scouts setting up to sell their cookies as they do not continue to try and sell you them like a salesmen when you politely decline but the others are not so quick to let you leave. It has gotten to the point where if i pull in and see someone set up at the front door i will leave and go across the street to Randalls. I do not feel the need to be harassed as i attempt to walk into the store to purchase a couple items. The worst part is not the actual table being set up by the front door, its the people stationed there. They literally seem to be retired salesmen. If they can manage to get you to stop for a second to talk to them (which i do because i feel rude just walking by) they will try their hardest to not let you enter the store without donating or buying whatever it is they are selling. I am not going to walgreens to purchase a new car. I do not need to run into aggressive sales tactics just to enter the store. For now on i will gladly leave the parking lot and drive over to Randalls if i see them out there. Today they had a guy from the American Stateman set up out front. As i walked by he asks me if i get the paper and i replied no (thanks to him i have learned always to say yes). I then tell him politely that i am not interested in the paying for the paper, that i get all my news online. He doesnt accept that answer. He then tells me people get their news online but they also get it by the daily paper. I respond that i dont have time to read the paper before work. He says thats okay you can just get the sunday issues. He flips over his card to the sunday rates, looks up at me and asks, how will you be paying for this today. Excuse me sir? Did i ever once express any interest whatsoever in purchasing the paper? No, i would appreciate it if i could get in and out of walgreens in a reasonable amount of time during my lunch break without being shaken down for money. So to reiterate once again, if i ever see someone stationed outside of this walgreens i will NEVER park and go into the store. I will gladly drive across the street to Randalls and possibly wait in a slightly longer line to check out instead of being harassed at the front door by aggressive sales people. I dont understand why walgreens allows people to do this but they will should see a decline in their store sells if they continue to allow aggressive sales people like this to set up shop at their doors.
