Google
had a very bad experience with the pharmacy manager who’s name may or may not be “Jim” at this location. I had a valid prescription sent here because they are the only 24/7 pharmacy in St. Lucie County. The pharmacist first told me the medication was “out of stock.” When I questioned that, the reason suddenly changed to where I live and then to my provider supposedly being “out of jurisdiction.” When I calmly asked for his name, license info, and a way to escalate the situation, he refused to provide it and hung up on me more than once. I’ve worked in pharmacy for 5 years (retail and hospital), so I understand that pharmacists have the right to refuse to fill prescriptions—but there is no excuse for being dishonest, rude, and unprofessional with patients who depend on their medication to function safely. I have filed a formal complaint with Walgreens corporate and intend to report this to the Florida Board of Pharmacy. I will be transferring all of my prescriptions away from Walgreens and strongly recommend others avoid this location’s pharmacy if they value being treated with basic respect and professionalism.

I am so impressed and happy and had to give a big shout out to Regina. She was my cashier who helped me with my phone place. My order help me get all my codes that I need in the phone to get my discount. She deserves a raise for her patience that she gave me today. She could not have been more kind helpful patient again I’m saying the word patient because not nowadays you can’t find help that is so outgoing and went the extra mile to help me so thank you again Regina. I hope they give you a bonus for this.

Google
If I could give 20 stars, I would. Thomas the Pharmacist was an absolute ANGEL who went way way above & beyond to help me get a prescription (from another walgreens that was closed), so he could then transfer this same prescription to another walgreens (because I was too sick to drive 50 miles to get to his store). He followed thru with such compassion & dedication. It is because of this wonderful Pharmacist (Thomas), that I was able to get medicine for my bronchitis 5 miles from my home!!! Thomas, you are an amazing person & we need more people like you!!! Thank you

Google
The pharmacy at this Walgreens location is so unprofessional. They never update you on the status of your prescriptions, When you can get somebody on the phone, they are rude and disrespectful. They constantly disconnect you where you have to go through all the prompts all over again. They never have enough staff the wait time to pick up a script is over an hour. I just spoke to a representative that spoke so fast on the phone, I had to ask him to slow down his total lack of professionalism and customer courtesy was off the charts. I couldn’t understand a word he said! I’m sure he was busy because they never have enough help. And once again, they never have my prescription in stock. They never update you when your doctor calls an in for you over five days ago!! After the script is filled, I am never coming back to the store. I will get my scripts filled at Publix.

Google
Kari Walker from Walgreens St. Lucie west did an excellent job helping me get a picture copied after numerous problems with the machine. She took my name and number and called me when the photo was ready. She went above and beyond just to help me. Excellent customer service.

Google
This is by far the worst experience I've had with a pharmacy. My doctor called the prescription in on September 3rd, 2025 and the prescription is still not ready. On October 7th they never call to tell me that they didn't have. I called today(October 8th) at noon, the older white lady told me it would be ready in an hour. It's 540pm it's still not ready, the young female at the drive thru stated it will be ready in 10 minutes. I have to send my beau in to get the blood pressure medicine that haven't taken in 3 days. There's no urgency, several of my coworkers stated that they cannot stand Walgreens pharmacy and now they go to Publix. Looks like I'll have to do the same. Because they are very unprofessional.

Google
The pharmacist here has to be THE coldest most uncaring person I’ve encountered. I’m not sure of his reasoning but he sat on the phone and told me a bold face lie concerning discounts and coupons on a very very expensive medication. It’s sad because he didn’t care if I died.

Scott M

Google
Pharmacy dept is horrendous. Never enough help and the ones that do work there can’t find their way out of a wet paper bag. Always lines. Always. Left on hold on the phone for 20 minutes and that’s with the recording constantly telling you there are more than 3 callers ahead of you So I. Plain English they just don’t bother to answer the phone. Thank God for CVS!

Yelp
This Walgreens is very good. I've always found what I needed. The Staff is very friendly. They are open 24 hours. Pharmacy Hours Vary. Lots of specials, store is kept very clean. Well organized, if you can't find what you need. Ask the Staff for help. Generally, if they do not have it. They may be able to order it for you. ****You May Want To Keep In Mind. Product Availability Varies from by Location. Reason WHY I HAVE BECOME FOND OF ON LINE WLMRT SHOPPING*** My Fav Toothpaste?? Crest G.Detoxifying & Whitener(New, Super Results) Nope. Not Available at this location. Save $, Gasoline, Traffic, Time. Buy, Pks Of 3 pay save more then 1/2 on line. Keeps me from putting things in my cart I don't need:-) I spent $96 here today. Geezzz. Not a smart consumer move. I have not used the pharmacy in a long time. I do recognize Pharmacy Staff. Very little turn over if Staff is always a good sign. From a few years ago. When, we owned our home here. That is always a good sign. Jose at the Pharmacy has been here for a long time. He is knowledgeable of products, Professional. And, a great problem solver. From hair scrunchies to munchies. They have a great selection of must haves without the 5 K Marathon in a store. Well lit secure parking lot. For the middle of the night, must have items. Cold medicines, lots of comfort items. Ask the Pharmacist for over the counter relief. Until you consult a Physician. All in all, a very good store. Wine, Beer, Water, Gift Cards. Good Selection Of Last Minute Shopping Items. Such as ready to go. Gift Hallmark Gift Bags.

Yelp
Severely understaffed or just extremely slow pharmacy staff. It is utterly unacceptable for a "drive-thru" service to be at least a 1 hr wait and that's not even because the line was long. It literally takes them at least 30 minutes between cars served. I came earlier today, and it was the same situation both inside and the drive thru. Walgreens needs to seriously consider better pay, better staffing, or AI. This is ridiculous for something that seems very simple to automate to take thissssss long. Ugh.

Yelp
tell the tall black lady who was working the register at 10am 12/06/25 that if she would actually DO HER JOB instead of just singing tunelessly, the line wouldn't be 20 people deep and customers wouldn't just leave things on the counter rather than dealing with her bullshit any longer - then fire her, because she is AWFUL

Yelp
Not sure what why they bother having people make appointments for a vaccination. Spent 10 minutes waiting in line to check in, and have now been waiting 30 minutes without a shot in sight. Yes, the pharmacy is busy, but it's not like they didn't know someone was coming in for a flu vaccine - if someone went to the time and trouble to make a reservation, shouldn't that be honored?

David L.

Yelp
Need more staff in pharmacy. This location is the worst in a whole chain of bad locations.

Morgyn W.

Yelp
On 6/22/25, I placed a same day pickup for business cards. I went in to get them and they weren't ready. Excuse was that the machine is broken. My boyfriend went in today, 6/25/25, after receiving the confirmation email that they were ready. After a 35+ minute drive back to the store, upon arrival, it's the same excuse. You can only use the excuse so many times, but the worker continued to physically show the business cards all printed, just uncut. As a former employee of Walgreens, the excuse of a broken machine is unacceptable and embarrassing. You should be able to admit that nobody in the store wants to cut each individual business card. If the machine is broken, how are they printed? If you're speaking about a broken cutter, there's scissors and the cutter isn't hard to replace. This place continues to show pure laziness and by the reviews I was reading prior to mine, I'm not surprised. This store needs better workers who actually want to work there, not just there for a paycheck. Do better Walgreens.

Yelp
No surprise at the horrendous reviews here. I had the displeasure of dealing with Margaret the pharmacy manager who was either having a bad day or just a really snippy person. Or maybe she was just dipping into the meds at the pharmacy. Anyways, she shouldn't be running anything with an attitude like that. Asked her a simple question and she just had a look of disgust on her face and I can see if she was mumbling something under her breath to her coworker. Unacceptable! Clearly the bad reviews here are very well-deserved.! With all these terrible reviews for pretty much the same thing. Why doesn't Walgreens do anything about it?

Yelp
7:00am went to get a prescription drive thru had 2 so I go in and only 1 guy working at his computer looking at it for 10min he finally goes to get the prescription. I thought of the person in the drive-through nope over there. Filling it for another 10 minutes. I ended up leaving because I waited in there for 12 minutes and he was filling a prescription usually when I'm told my prescriptions not ready, I need to drive around, it literally would've took him two minutes to get my prescription. Horrible

Yelp
Worst pharmacy I ever encountered rude arrogant and no customer service had Walgreens pharmacy in Miami no problem here not so much
google avatar

Katy K.

Yelp
I love the fact it is a 24 hour pharmacy but the wait is outrageous every time I have a pick up.

Lamar J.

Yelp
This store doesn't deserve a single star. Long lines at the pharmacy window and often only one register open. Take your prescriptions elseware

Jamie F.

Yelp
Horrible pharmacy. The man working the drive thru window did not know the difference between klonopin and Zoloft. I got a call and a text that my prescriptions were ready for pickup and he had no clue what I was talking about. Asked me to spell the name of the drugs 3 times. Why would they call me that it's ready when it's not? Train your employees better, please.

Yelp
WOW, what a disgrace!! We visting from South Africa for the holidays, and I must say this was by far the worst experience I have had in a foreign country. Walgreens 280 SW Port St Lucie Blvd Pharmacist are rude with no compassion for patients, they couldn't care less if you are in pain and need urgent help. I told the pharmacist that Xpress Urgent Care sent them an email with my prescription medication. At 1st, they could not locate the email. I called Express Urgent Care, who resend the email.I was told we have to wait 30 minutes to an hour. I assume it is to process the order. I told the pharmacist I could not wait that long is their anything they could do. She said unfortunately I have to wait, and if I can't wait, she could transfer the email to another pharmacy. She had a lot of attitude. How is that ? She just walked away and left us standing there. I then accepted the fact that I had to wait. I then spoke to a second pharmacist as the 1st one walked away, who told me they would text us when to collect after verifying our mobile number. I then bought some Ibuprofens to subside the pain and left the store for home. We are still waiting for a call or text. They closed for the day. Another sleepless, painful night. It's a lot of money for me to visit a doctor here, and now I have to wait until the next day for my prescribed medication. They are an absolute disgrace to the profession that is supposed to help people who truly need care. 3 staff members on duty who looked at me in disgust because I'm in pain.

Yelp
Crappy customer service from the pharmacy - rude beyond belief and a store manager that can't be bothered to return customers' calls - and filling phantom prescriptions (more than once they've called me to tell me something no one ever ordered is ready). Done with this shitshow moving everything to CVS.
google avatar

Marie K.

Yelp
I see ratings for this Walgreens and cannot believe what people write. I just relocated from NJ. That Walgreens often distributed the incorrect medication or was out of my meds. It this PSL Walgreens I receive courteous service - an excellent vaccine - actual eye contact and caring questions. Contrary to some previous comments all Pharm techs and Pharmacists are professional - informative ...never rude or discourteous. Thanks for excellent service.

Jeffrey D.

Yelp
just want to give everybody a heads up if you come to this Walgreens, make sure they type your prescription and before you leave, I was told me 30 minute wait to 45 minutes which I stayed in the store and shopped around and spent about a couple hundred dollars , came back 45 minutes later to the pharmacy was told they haven't even typed in the prescription it's gonna take up to another 30 minutes to 45 minutes if I'm only able to give a zero rating that's what I would do but unfortunately that's not an option 0, so I have to be generous and give them a one star when I dropped the prescription off I explained to them that My Father is terminally ill with cancer and he needs his antibiotics and this is how they conduct themselves here.

Yelp
This review is for the pharmacy. The store itself is fine. I'm new to Port St Lucie and I made the mistake of selecting this particular pharmacy to handle my wife's prescriptions mainly due to the location and 24 hr availability which is very convenient. Sadly though, the pharmacy is absolutely terrible in every way possible. Because of the experiences I had here, I converted all my wife's eligible prescriptions to mail order. Let me just briefly share the experiences that prompted the switch to mail order. My wife is on chronic pain management. We understand the strict laws of dispensing these medications, but the way my wife was treated is a disgrace to the pharmacy profession. She was made to feel like she was some sort of street addict. Always treated rudely and condescending. It got so bad, I had to go in and deal with the rude staff to pick up her medications and yes indeed there was an overwhelming condescending attitude each time I went to pick up her medication. Smart remarks like "this is your third refill!?" News flash for you incompetent pharmacy "professionals". There are many people living in chronic pain each day and these medications are the only thing available to help them get through the day. The assumptions you make are a breach of your profession and it's disgusting. Never have we experienced such overt bias and rude treatment. Apparently this seems to happen to many others who are on various medications. Numerous times while standing in the slow moving line, there's no shortage of dissatisfied customers. Condescending treatment especially to seniors. The staff seem to hate their job with the exception of one. I was tempted to ask this one exception staff member if they were at the wrong store. Enough was enough. I found another pharmacy that actually treats their customers with compassion and we moved the one medication to them and converted everything else to mail order and now our days of dealing with this horrible pharmacy are over.

Yelp
I don't know how they could have 2 rating should be -2!!!! It's no wonder they're close to bankruptcy!

Donna L.

Yelp
WALGREENS corner of CALIFIRNIA AND port St Lucie West Blvd nite time service is just AWFUL! Been trying for 1 hour to get thru, need to take med tonight. Called 5 times, got put on hold 3 times and no one ever picked up again. So much different from day pharmacy. This nighttime group is terrible. Save yourself the time and effort...and go during the daytime.

Stacie L.

Yelp
Pharmacy is slow and the pharmacy technician was very rude. The store itself is clean though.

Debra L.

Yelp
Drive through pharmacy is ridiculous... They really should make people come inside versus sitting in line for 20 minutes!!!
google avatar

Jason M.

Yelp
This pharmacy is the slowest I have ever been to. Unfortunately it is the closest 24-hour location. 20 minutes at the drive through tube and was not even acknowledged after pushing the call button several times. Avoid at all costs unless you need your prescription filled after hours.

Girlfrom G.

Yelp
If I could give less than one star, I would! The worse Walgreens I have ever being. Worse pharmacy staff!! There a long line of cars outside and a longer one inside and no one does anything to speed things up!

Gg P.

Yelp
Lines long, store cluttered.....bathrooms stated sorry out Of order...this is a pharmacy....store cluttered. I walked Out disgusted.

Jaime R.

Yelp
ZERO stars. They made me buy tape to tape a shipping label for the fedex inside. Ridiculous!

Yelp
THE WORST SERVICE EVER - EVERY SINGLE TIME!!! We had such a great service at CVS...but this year, husband chose Walgreen's because we just moved to the PGA Village in Port St-Lucie west and it was much closer. BIG MISTAKE !!! Received a text saying RX ready, I go to drive-thru and waited 20 minutes only to be told it will be another 20 minutes. So I said why do you tell me it's ready if it's not??? You do that every time!! The guy said :"20 minutes"! And he hung up!! I drove around and parked and went inside. NOBODY at the inside counter!! Waited another 7 minutes !!! and then one of the 'helpers' said I'll be with you in a minute.... 5 more minutes passes and i give the name and the birth date, he says ok...and then he asked the next person for his name !!! He wanted to make one trip I guess....and the guy says that his wife did not get the whole prescription of antibiotics and the clerk starts to look into it and talks with the pharmacist and another clerk about it.... WHILE I'M STILL WAITING AND WAS THERE BEFORE THAT OTHER GUY!!! And finally I got the prescription for a total wait of 43 minutes (including the waiting in drive-thru) !!! I was LIVID. COME OCTOBER. WE ARE SWITCHING TO CVS..... AND SO SHOULD YOU ALL !!

Bonnie N.

Yelp
Pharmacy is very poorly run. Either staff are overworked or don't care. Customer care and service is a low priority for this team.

Debra C.

Yelp
I would like to add an update- Peter the store manager called and explained to me they do not have syringes for animals , however, will advise the pharmacists to explain to customers how to administer medicine for animals so no one can make a mistake. He apologized and I felt he was very sincere. Thank you Peter for taking the time to address the issue.
google avatar

Ray D.

Yelp
Terrible pharmacy, after waiting for 20 minutes at the Drive thru we were told it would be another 20 minutes for the prescription. After pulling out, we were notified by phone in less than five minutes it was ready. Had to go back and get in line AGAIN and wait for the prescription. Ridiculous.
google avatar

Jeff C.

Yelp
I ran out of syringes and couldn't find a pharmacy that was open besides Walgreens. I went in and tried to buy a box of 100 syringes. The pharmacy refused to sell me any syringes at all because I wasn't in their system and I should go to the pharmacy where I get my insulin. I explained that my insulin is supplied through a patient assistance program through the HANDS clinic, a local clinic for uninsured low-income residents, and insulin was mailed to the clinic and not obtained through any pharmacy. They still refused to sell them to me. The cashier asked what syringes I used. I told her I wanted the smallest gauge and shortest syringes they had. She told me that if I didn't know the exact kind that she wouldn't sell them to me. I told her I was typically sold 31 gauge U-100 syringes and was interrupted and told because I didn't know the exact kind that they wouldn't sell them to me. I'm not sure how precisely she expected me to describe them. Standing at the front of the store, I called other pharmacies but they were all closed. I found myself in desperation mode. With no way to take my insulin I had no choice but to stand my ground so I went back to the consultation window of the pharmacy. The pharmacist came and spoke to me. She asked how many units I administered. I explained again how I got my insulin, the max units I took, the name of the insulin I took, the size I wanted and typically received. She agreed to sell them to me and asked how many I wanted. I told her I wanted a box of 100. Another cashier brought a box up and told me they didn't have a full 100 box of syringes and that he'd sell them to me by the 10 pack. I know that they are more expensive this way so I bought enough to hold me over until I can go somewhere else to buy them. The store is more worried about saving a junkie than saving a diabetic. I didn't choose to be diabetic. I can't go without insulin and syringes as a type 1 diabetic. I guess it's better that I die of diabetic ketoacidosis than a junkie get his fix. The lack of care for diabetics has forced me to never shop at a Walgreens for anything ever again. I will never step foot in your store. I will never refer you. Save the junkies! Let the diabetics die.
google avatar

Jenni G.

Yelp
Love this store along with the employees. They are always around to help with a smile. I have shopped here for over 10 years and do so because its always an easy and pleasurable experience.

Toni J.

Yelp
WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE EVER!!! The pharmacy LOST my hard copy prescription, the pharmacist was supposed to follow up, and call my doctor to get a new one. Not only did he not leave any notes so staff was aware but he left "A" voice message at the doctor's office. I call today and I'm informed that they will follow up tomorrow but I should be prepared to go pick up a new script. Let's not mention that I'm going to be out tomorrow and it's Christmas Eve. Hence why I dropped it off Friday and called Saturday. I guess my healthcare isn't important enough for them to put a little urgency to resolving THEIR MISTAKE!! Maybe they should stick to haircare and makeup because Walgreens is definitely not a pharmacy you can trust!!

Troy A.

Yelp
Helpful and friendly staff. 24 hour pharmacy. Jose in the pharmacy helped me get my prescriptions for a more affordable price when there was an issue with my insurance. I would recommend this Walgreens Pharmacy.

Yelp
Typical Walgreens: safe, clean and full of 20 oz Diet Cokes :) Yes, I'm a fan of that!
