Tonight, I found myself at a charming bar, enjoying a delightful evening of solitude. The ambiance was classic rustic Americana, with high ceilings, dark wood accents, and dramatic lighting that created an intimate atmosphere. The establishment had two entrances, each welcoming with a staff that was both beautiful and welcoming. I decided to indulge in a full-course meal, savoring each dish with utmost elegance. The salad arrived before the appetizer, and it was a delightful surprise. The house salad featured a unique combination of ingredients, including candy, donuts, salt, blue cheese, silver garden lettuce, onions, sweet peppers, bacon, lemon, basil, and a delectable vinaigrette. While the presentation may have seemed unconventional at first, I found myself thoroughly enjoying the harmonious blend of flavors. The deviled eggs with candied bacon jam, pickled fresnos, and blue cheese were simple yet delightful. However, I felt that they lacked a complementary element to enhance their overall taste. The NY Strip steak was cooked to perfection, cooked to my desired medium doneness. The savory bread pudding was an exciting addition to the meal, but I found that it could have benefited from a touch more flavor. To conclude my culinary journey, I savored the Apple Crisp, which was a delightful dessert. While the apples could have benefited from a longer simmering time, the crumble topping was simply heavenly. Throughout my dining experience, I was consistently impressed by the exceptional service provided by the staff. Their attention to detail and genuine care for their customers made the entire dining experience truly memorable.

Great evening out with my bride. Lacey was our waitress and was superb. She recommended the New York strip which was cooked to perfection. The borscht was a delicious way to begin the meal. The Abeja Merlot was a great addition to the dinner.

The staff here was excellent, very helpful and friendly. The ambience is quite nice, classy but not overly fancy. The food was all immaculate.

Cocktails are on point, but the food is only decent. The presentation makes it look like it will be amazing, but it's not that good. I do stuffed chickens all the time at home, and this was not very stuffed. It was also dry and lacking flavor. It was bone in and sitting in vinegar, which I've never seen. The smell was not only alarming but unappetizing. The bar tender we came across was very nice and attentive. The restaurant also has a nice clean look, which I like a lot. Cocktails are 5 stars. I was going to give 4 stars on food, but my wife said to only give 2, so I'm giving the food 3 stars considering the overall price.

As soon as you walk in you are greeted promptly with great service. The host was professional and fairly knowledgeable. I had the butchers cut of the day which was a porterhouse chop, it looked beautiful on the plate but was tough and dry and hard to cut with a steak knife. My wife had the catch of the day which was only about a 1inch wide by 4 inch long piece of cod and came out hard and rubbery. The host was prompt on getting my wife a new piece of fish which took about 20min and was smaller than the first piece but tasted great nevertheless. I ended up keeping my tough/ semi cold porterhouse. We appreciate the service and the bustling atmosphere but for the price of dining here we will definitely not be coming back and will be seeking other dining endeavours in the future.

Stopped here on a whim during our honeymoon roadtrip and my husband I both agreed it was one of our top 5 best meals in our 29 years of life. Our waiter Jacob was awesome and so helpful and likable. I ordered cod with quinoa in a coconut broth and my husband got a pasta dish and we were both blown away. Dessert was also lovely! The art and atmosphere was definitely our vibe. Absolutely stop here if you get the chance!

Excellent fine dining establishment. Must try the pork shank. The octopus is also delicious. I also really like the bourbon pasta. Service was perfect.

Loved the drink options, watermelon salad was refreshing and steak was great!

Yelp
I have dined at Walkers 20 times and can confidently say that I am an insider now. First, the service is always awesome. Our server Wednesday was cool blond lady (can't remember her name for the life of me) that absolutely made our experience. With all large parties there will be a delay as plate timing becomes tougher but she stayed with us making sure that pacing of Apps and Drinks made up for a slight delay from the kitchen. Then the food came out and it was, as always, up to Chef Nick's standards. The burrata, deviled eggs and carnitas tacos are amazing every time. The Korean BBQ is as good as I have had in Korea town/LA. I also love the Pork belly dish and recommend it all the time. Walkers is by far the best of Billings and if anywhere near downtown it's a must stop for dinner.

Yelp
Been a year since we went to Walkers , another great dinner and dining experience, had the deviled eggs , 2.0 salad with the Meatloaf and Seared Duck Breast ... great service again

Yelp
There's soooo many amazing choices for food in Billings now!! I'm here for business, hungry as usual and wanted to find some fab foods. I searched "farm to table" restaurants; Walkers was one of the ones that came up and the best option for a Monday night. They're busy tonight so the food time was a bit delayed yet well worth the wait! Restaurant is clean. It was noisy tonight but not bothersome. Excellent service from Jessica tonight. She's very familiar with the menu, gluten free option, the wines... there were no questions she couldn't answer. I'll be back!

Yelp
I had my birthday dinner here with my family and the staff were absolutely wonderful! They went above and beyond with their service, the staff all wrote me such a kind birthday letter. The food was amazing as always, the presentation of the pieces is stunning. For fine dining in Billings, Walkers exceeds all expectations

Yelp
The food is amazing! Deviled Eggs, probably the best I have ever had. You must try the Pork Shank! This was, without a doubt, the best pork dish I have ever had. That's saying a lot, as my favorite all time meal is Pork Chili Verde. To top it off, the service was fantastic. Very gracious hosts and wait staff. Even with a fair number of guests it did not feel crowded or too loud. I would go out if my way to dine here again!

Yelp
STELLAR! Went here for a special evening and it was a wonderful experience! The atmosphere is open but cozy and welcoming with warm woods and low-gleaming lights plus tall windows that wrap around the building, which makes it even livelier. The service was impeccable from the host to the bartenders (amazing team - worked like a ballet) to the servers and bussers. I highly recommend the Kentucky Peach cocktail. This place is great for vegetarians! We had appetizers (morels on biscuit and also the asparagus), salads (I had the beet salad), and if I'd had any idea how filling this would be, I would have been satisfied and skipped the entree. All of the dishes are very generous and artistically plated. My husband had the John's Hot Chicken with Nashville-style hot sauce and I had the vegetarian curry. We couldn't finish everything, so we took it home and it was every bit as good the next day. Our server not only boxed the leftovers, but taped the boxes closed and labeled them for us.

Yelp
I really enjoyed the meatloaf. It melted in your mouth. My husband had the pork belly, and the whole dish was really salty. To be a bit expected with spam, but one would hope for the price the chef would do a much better job balancing the salt within the dish. But sadly, that was not the case. My son had the kids mac and cheese, which was good. Our server got double sat. This meant us as the 2nd table definitely got less than in terms of service, despite having a reservation. Also, it took a good 50 minutes for our food to come out after ordering.

Yelp
I ordered Casey's Noodles. They offered to add an egg, which I opted in for. *togo order. I had taken several bites and then went to incorporate the egg. It was nearly completely raw. It was clear where it should have been white. However, all of the yoke had already leaked into my food. Aldo the side order of fries were packed inside a tiny box and when I opened the box it was full of moisture to the point that were like sponges. I spent the night extremely sick, horrible pain and far too much 'removing' the food from my body. I wrote to contact the restaurant and received so response at all and was ignored. They made no attempt to resolve and gave me food poisoning. Overall terrible experience. The place looks nice inside but their customer service doesn't seem to cater to average person.

Yelp
We had a wonderful dinner last night. The food and service were excellent and the music was unexpected but very enjoyable. However, the music made conversation difficult but overall we thought it was worth it. The restaurant was full. We will definitely return to Walkers the next time we are in Billings.

Yelp
We ended up in Billings for a few nights and it was a pretty quiet town, but Walkers was amazing!! We walked in and were pleasantly surprised by the ambience and crowd. We sat at the bar, and Rachel took great care of us. She had a great disposition and gave us some great insight on what to do while we were in town. For food, we both had specials of the night, pork loin and beef ramen, and both were delish!! If we happen back to Billings, will definitely make a stop (or two) there!!
google avatar

Steen S.

Yelp
First off this seems like a great place to have dinner. Chill ambience and friendly service with no complications. I got the catch of the day and was a bit dissatisfied. The scallops were cooked perfectly and the lobster mushrooms were amazing. They added a strange vinegar miso sauce that was too salty and overpowering. I would definitely come back to try their meatloaf as it looked divine.

Elise B.

Yelp
Food is odd, Brussel sprouts were the only good thing. Service and people are nice, drinks were good. It got loud really quick.

Yelp
This place is incredible!! Service, atmosphere, food.. It all gets a 10/10 from us. We came to celebrate a family members clean bill of health, and it was the most perfect place we could have done it. The waitress was so kind and made sure all our questions were answered and made good recommendations about what we should order. We had a few appetizers and they were tasty! Deviled eggs were incredible as well as the burrata. The shishitos were a large serving and were good, but wouldn't get them again. And the duck wings were tough and hard to eat, but that comes with duck meat. Regarding the main course, oh my, it was some of the best food we have ever had. Everyone was SO happy with their food. Two people got the burger and loved it. The meat was so tender. Two people got the Korean beef bowl and they were both talking about the ramen noodles the next couple of days! Another member of our family got the meatloaf, and it seemed to be the least liked meal of the night, but was still very tasty. Lastly, I got the Apple Brined Pork Shank, and wow.... INCREDIBLE! The meat was so tender and fell right off the bone. The flavors were so sophisticated, it makes me hungry just thinking about it! We have now been to several places in downtown Billings and this would be my first choice when visiting downtown billings.

Yelp
Loving this place!!! Great atmosphere and cocktails, fantastic service, and the food is AMAZING! We stopped in for dinner on our way home from Sturgis. Wow! Totally worth the travel in to downtown from the highway! Well done

Yelp
My wife and I came in a little over an hour before closing. We asked not to be seated at the bar. The hostess looked annoyed that we wanted a booth. We were sat down, the hostess walked by throwing our things on the table without missing a step. Looking around, it appeared they diverted all business to the bar and the seating area was empty. I'm glad our waitress didn't treat us like an inconvenience. We were given an adequate time to review the menu, which has been revised and reduced to a sheet of paper, all pictures of the menus on yelp are for naught. The bread they served as an appetizer was amazing soft inside, crunchy crust. The food came quickly cooked to perfection. My steak was cooked medium rare as I requested. Food was delicious.

Joanna B.

Yelp
Oh my the food was good! I had the Walleye and that was the best fish dish I'd had in a long time. My husband loved his pork shank too. The place is beautiful with a great cocktail menu. We enjoyed a couple of those too. Ryan was our waiter and he gave us great service. Thank you! I wish we didn't live in California. I'd love to make this place a regular.

Yelp
We had a great meal here. I really liked the bread and butter, and everything else but i gotta say that was genuinely just so good its a highlight for me. The burger was excellent, but i was a bit too full to fjnish it. I highly recommend the linguine and meatballs, i think those are a must try. Burrata was delicious but i would probably try a different app next time because they all looked so good. Our server was awesome and everything came out really fast, i appreciated the holiday decorations too. Theres a lot of good restaurants downtown but this is a safe bet for a great meal and delicious cocktails

Probably The Best Restaurant In Billings - Fair Prices - Great Food - Wonderful Service - A Keeper!

Yelp
I don't believe in hating on restaurants with only 1 bad experience...every place has their off days...but as a server and someone who's patient and willing to forgive..it was a really bad overall experience. Went on a Tuesday night (not too busy 7:45-8pm) good vibe and decor. I requested 2 samples of beers and it took 15 mins to see our server again (so we made sure to be ready to order when she returned) we had very specific orders and gave details as to why our request was NO MAYO at all on the Korean beef bowl, pointed to the menu and we both explained she can't have it, the server verbally acknowledged and wrote it down. Then I ordered the bourbon street pasta after deliberating between two dishes (one she recommended as her fave) but I said I'm good with NOLA cuisine tonight and she said "sounds good" Fast forward 20 mins and her dish was covered in Mayo, and they brought me the wrong dish my server recommended...I was the typical apologetic millennial and said "I'm sorry, it's fine, maybe I didn't specify enough times...I'll just eat this" I also convinced my girlfriend to try to "avoid the parts with mayo" but wasn't doable, and it was VERY greasy. The recommendation had NO FLAVOR, was rough to eat, so when she came back I asked if they could make the dish I ordered in the first place. She ran to the back and 4 mins later I had what looked like "bourbon street pasta" - no flavor, full of water, and ice cold sausage (they hurried the dish to me and I couldn't even take 3 bites). Both my girlfriend and I were sad with the quality, flavor, and fact everything but the drinks was wrong...and to get samples took 15 mins. After all this they tried to say that they would "cover a beverage to make everything ok"...I ended going back in and speaking with the manager to ask kindly for o take off my dish which they did....but would absolutely not recommend this restaurant at all only for business drinks.

Yelp
OMG! STRAIGHT UP, GO HERE! Alright, I don't know how to write this review without sounding like I'm over embellishing. This dining experience was TOP NOTCH! My husband picked this place for dinner... I was skeptical because it is kinda high end, and I thought I'd feel out of my element. We sat at the bar, and I settled in, bracing myself. The staff were super friendly and superbly good at their craft! On point and anticipated every thought we had before we said anything! The drinks... Amazing! The starters... Amazing. The entrees... Amazing. Truly mouth watering. After receiving our cocktails, a bread basket was provided. Warm freshly baked bread, really flavorful. Real butter, yes. We had the Poutine and Deviled Eggs to start. Candied bacon on the deviled eggs, Portobello Mushroom gravy on the Poutine. Heavenly! Hubby ordered the Kraft Ranch Beef Burger, served with Shoe String Fries. He loved it. I had the Bourbon Street Pasta which had Chicken, shrimp, and andouille sausage. Eye rollingly orgasmic. This place knocked it out of the park! Took a carrot cake slice back to the hotel, to-go. I have no doubt it's also going to just as delicious. Our 2 bartenders we fun and engaging. They chit chatted with us, laughed with us, and checked on us. They were perfectly attentive just as a server would. While the restaurant will definitely meet the expectations of anyone looking to have an intimate dinner, with with a special occasion atmosphere, we dined in t-shirts and jeans at the bar and enjoyed every moment. Cocktails, appetizers, main courses, plus a shared dessert. $50 per person before tip.

Yelp
Modern! Elegant! Romantic! Friendly! Delicious! I've been coming to Billings for once a year for work for the past 10 years...how have not eaten here yet? Probably cause I was making a lot less money as this is a fancier restaurant, but worth it for the right moment. Maybe a 3rd date? Friendly staff in a lovely environment. $10 Brussel Sprouts...a generous portion of pan fried veggies lightly in General Tso's sauce. Plenty for 2-3 people. $34 Catfish...my dish! Cooked crispy in a cornmeal crust, served with tasty cheesy grits, etouffee, and chunks of crawfish! YUM! $38 New York Strip...stole a bite from a coworker: juicy, meaty, and delish! $11 Bolognese...half portion of tasty enough red sauce pasta. Also corkage charge is only $10! If you decide to treat yourself at least once while in Billings, do it Walkers, and bring a nice $12-15 bottle of wine.
google avatar

Yelp
The cornbread hot pepper burrata was spectacular. Korean Beef Bowl was also phenomenal. We ordered to share as we were not that hungry, but it was so good that we easily could have eaten the entire serving ourselves. The portions are not overkill...which is great. So if you go in hungry, don't share :) Restaurant was clean, dark / romantic ambiance and the service was exceptional. The furiyaki fries were to die for! But we are French fry lovers and furiyaki makes everything better

Yelp
Absolutely, the best meal of my life! The pork belly was superior, with wonderful seasoning, a perfect seer, and overall great taste. The meatloaf was excellent as well. Service by Robyn was efficient, and at a price point below $50 per person all-in, including tax and tip makes this a wonderful value. I cannot recommend this restaurant highly enough
google avatar

Sabrina C.

Yelp
Every single time I've been here everything is delicious! Finally had to write a review after dining in for the 3rd time. Great food, wine, and cocktail selection. Servers are knowledgeable and quick to bring your order. Weekends can be busy so I'd recommend calling to reserve a table if with a group, but on weekdays walking in I have never had an issue getting seated. Would highly recommend this place and 10/10 will be eating here again!

Yelp
Second time at Walkers. Excellent experience again. Butchers cut was my main meal. Excellent. (Fresh caught halibut or pan seared walleye were tough second choices) Steak was cooked to perfection. On a bed of rice with mixed veggies. Had a house salad that puts any house salad anywhere else to shame. Couple glasses of Pinot Noir and I was set. Server was very attentive and knew the menu like the back of her hand. Very nice place to eat. Classy, music just right volume and lighting is perfect. Great place for a date. I was running single.

Donella W.

Yelp
Great food and service, portion sizes were great. Everything was delicious. The duck breast was amazing!
google avatar

Kelly S.

Yelp
I just had a glass of wine and a steak wedge salad and both were well-priced and service was great. I will be back when in town to try some of the other dishes that sounded good.
google avatar

Nateron M.

Yelp
Very much enjoyed our dinner at Walkers! We went to Walkers for my mom's birthday and arrived with a nice card on the table - nice little touch to start the night. Drinks were very good - both the wine and cocktails. We started with the funky fries which were awesome and enough for the 4 of us. Meals were the house salad and Brussels sprouts, Korean bowl, duck pasta special, and another pasta dish and all were dialed in. The duck pasta was VERY good. Service was attentive and kind and it was a fun atmosphere on a cold Thursday night. Would recommend Walkers for a nice dinner out.

John R.

Yelp
Great place for cocktails or a meal. The pork chop is first rate. I've also had the bolgogi beef before and that's great too.

Yelp
Best onion rings and homemade dressings in town. Oh and did I mention the prawns are the size of my palm so so yum

Yelp
I have enjoyed Walkers in its different locations for thirty years. It's current downtown location has been a smash, great bar and comfortable dining room. I really like the varied menu: you can go simple or you can go grand. Fun cocktails for the former and a well curated wine list for the latter. My trip last week led me to one of their signature dishes--the meatloaf and it's ample and delicious mushroom gravy. Geez I forgot how tasty this dish can be. The grilled red potatoes are so welcome rather than the traditional mashed potatoes.

Riley C.

Yelp
Food was hit/miss. Meatloaf is amazing. Duck was absolute garbage. Tiniest, over-cooked duck breast I've ever seen. Served on a bed of mole that can only be described as prohibitively spicy baby shit. Also had two huge, raw garlic chunks placed randomly in the couscous. Super weird, totally inedible. Ok service. Bitchy, rude lead hostess. Had a reservation but no table was available...when we took an open table in the bar she almost lost her shit. Nice place overall. Good news is that the barman is gifted so you can get a nice buzz on to forget the duck you're paying too much for.
google avatar

Yelp
My daughter and myself are on a cross country trip, and decided to stay in Billing tonight, Walkers was our plan from the start, and our instincts were spot on. This place has an amazing vibe, and a great following as you will see for yourself. We hit the jackpot with our server Lacey, she is professional, and made us feel like locals. We really enjoyed her, and if we were local, she would be our go too... We ordered several things, which I will post pics of. Will circle back to review more, but need sleep...

Mark S.

Yelp
Excellent food and service! I LOVED the Funky Fries and House Salad. We can't wait to go back!

Andy B.

Yelp
Extremely bland dishes. Overpriced and small portions. Not at all what was expected. Avoid this eatery if you are a foodie and hungry.

Therese W.

Yelp
Delicious! Walleye prepared perfectly and the duck was tender, nicely prepared blend of flavors. We were traveling through and this was just what we needed after days of road food!

Emily G.

Yelp
Great late dinner last night! Large portions, nice variety, knowledgeable staff. We'll definitely be back!

Audrey M.

Yelp
Such an amazing experience at Walkers! It was my father's birthday, and we arrived to a card that had been custom signed by all of the staff wishing him a happy birthday. The food was outstanding with a great incentive behind it (Sourced from local farms). We had the pork shank, buratta, and morel mushrooms for dinner and the apple crumble for dessert, all of which were delicious and inventive/ Dominic was an awesome server who was attentive, friendly, and gave us recommendations on fun things to do in the area. Everything including cocktails and drinks were reasonably priced. Will definitely be back!!

Natanya O.

Yelp
They used to give good seafood...haven't been back since they told me they wouldn't make the old clam dish though. Ngl. That was the only reason I went there.

Rob S.

Yelp
Very busy with no reservations we sat in the bar. Great service and the food was good. Think the menu needs updating and some non traditional dishes added. Overall great atmosphere and friendly staff.

Yelp
Amazing Gluten Free flatbread for a starter ! The rest of the meal was awesome too! Great place for dinner - and I wish they were open at lunch time.

Kirk S.

Yelp
This was an excellent find. The food was prepared very well and presented in an elegant manner! The service was excellent. This is a place that we will definitely eat at when we are in Billings! The atmosphere is very warm and allows people to have a conversation!

Yelp
Came for a Christmas Eve dinner and really enjoyed the steak! I ordered it medium rare and it was cooked perfectly with great flavor. 10oz for $35. It comes with French fries normally (which i found odd) so i substituted it for mashed potatoes. They did not disappoint at all! My waiter was also very nice and attentive.
google avatar

Jeremy L.

Yelp
The appetizers really stole the show here. Had a great squash dish and the salad was tasty. Also enjoyed the drinks we had. The main courses were fine, but I got adventurous with a reuben inspired pasta thing that didn't end up as tasty as I'd hoped. (Gotta respect the effort, though) Nice place to grab a bite in Billings. Great atmosphere and decent service. Would for sure go again.

Chris N.

Yelp
Best food in Billings, MT, hands down, and reasonably priced when you compare the cost to the quality of other high end restaurants in Billings. Billings has great food, but Walkers is outstanding. The chef has been awarded James Beard award.
google avatar

Heather M.

Yelp
We had a nice time at Walkers. Ladies night with cocktails and the service did not disappoint. The steak is delicious and the eggs are the main attraction. We didn't need a reservation but you might want to make one. The portions are big and we will return.

Ed J.

Yelp
I was going to let it go that this is basically shit food with the covering of an upscale ambiance - I thought it was going to be a pleasant dining experience. But after waiting over an hour for a subpar meal, I asked to speak to a manager about the time it took to be served. The answer? Food takes time to prepare. When I asked if an hour was acceptable - the answer was that food takes time to prepare. Yeah - no shit and no thanks.
google avatar

Clint P.

Yelp
Ok so let's start with service! Tyler was amazing and a rockstar server. He was pleasant, helpful, knowledgeable, and the best part of our night! Ambiance and vibe was cool. Kind of upscale bar/restaurant vibe. The food, however, was pretty average to below average. The wife had meatloaf (I know it's meatloaf but if you put it on your menu it should be stellar), and it was average at best, we switched meals so I ate some of hers and yeah... it's a gravy smothered meat that was meh. I had the braised pork with mashed potatoes. It legit must've come out of the fridge because it was cold. Think maybe Thanksgiving dinner that you'd make a sandwich out of. Good, but not as good as last night when it was cooked. My son had the burger and said maybe #2 he's ever had. That says something because he's had some serious food. So... amazing service 2 stars and 1 out of 3 dishes were good... 1 star. So 3 stars for amazing service, good atmosphere, and so-so food. I suggest trying and hoping your meal is a little better than ours and can hit that 4 star mark! Don't be scared, just know it's probably below average food with phenomenal service if you get Tyler.

Maoleown C.

Yelp
Me and my family thought that this bar and grill would be nice but my father ordered the duck he only got 2 thin tiny slices over the spiciest baby food they claimed was molle. Also when they packed my food, they took most of it out. Like let me have what we payed for not me eat and you take the rest. Get it together you hipster trash bar.
