11 Great Spots To Get Poke In SF - San Francisco - The Infatuation

"The build-your-own poke bowls at this quick-service spot in the Lower Haight come with your choice of six different proteins, and a bunch of colorful toppings like pickled ginger, seaweed salad, masago, and crunchy garbanzo beans. For the chronically indecisive, they also have a few signature bowls - we like the Makai bowl with ahi tuna, salmon, shoyu, and spicy aioli, or the Wasabi Salmon bowl." - Julia Chen 1

Walking Fish seems like it’s off to a great start! The employees were very friendly and helpful, and the portion size was definitely enough. I had the Shrimp Ceviche and I think there was too much lime, but based on what I saw I think the other bowls would be really good!

Vegan poke! My husband and I got introduced to this place when they had a promotion for plant based tuna, tasted legit if I remember it correctly, lol (see the attached pictures)! They also have other 3 vegan poke options and we are looking forward to come back and try more!

I had an enjoyable experience at Walking Fish. Great menu choices, bright, clean space, and really fresh ingredients. I got the shrimp ceviche and it was very good, a little heavy on the lime, but overall yummy. Great portion size too. Very fast and friendly service. I hope to try the fruit bowls next time. Happy to have them in the neighborhood.

I come here at least twice a week and enjoy it a lot! The people are cool and the poke tastes great. Highly recommend for a quick meal or to-go bowl

Good service - quick, friendly and knowledgable. The place is brand new and looks great. The amount of options is as plentiful as the ocean (lol). The fish was fresh. It was one of the better poke places ive been to in the city.

Best Poké spot in Lower Haight, seating for 1 or 2 at most, but very friendly staff and great food.

I was so impressed with the meal I had from here this afternoon. The fish portions were generous, tasted fresh, and I appreciated that the sauce and herbs were mixed right in with it. The rice was flavourful and soft. The toppings were plentiful and delicious - the avocado was especially good, as was the seaweed salad. The price was very fair, especially considering the size of the large bowl. The owner was also very friendly and helpful. I'll definitely be back!
