We took kiddos there for a field trip probably 3 times in the last 2 years and everyone loves it!! Kids having amazing time and teachers love this place too!

I love the concept of these places but if you come in with a bigger group (especially kids that want to paint the big things) it gets expensive quick. You are looking at $35-$60 per item. The staff is super helpful in explaining how things work and the kiddos had a blast!

Celebrated our 26th Anniversary with friends here with a private party package. Amazing time, great staff, super memories. Here are a few of our pieces before being fired.

Walls of Clay was a really good time. The staff was extremely helpful. This is great for adults or kids. There is an abundant selection of pottwry to choose from. The shop has everything you could ever want as far as paint and accessories. Also noticed a private room in the back for parties.

We sat for 20 minutes after our reservation and no one came to tell us what to do. We had never been before. It took awhile for them to help us when we asked a question and there were only 2 other people in there. On the positive side, they had a lot of great pottery choices. All kinds of styles. Most were fairly priced. Once you finish, it takes about a week to pick them up. It was fun to see how they turned out

Let me just brag on this place right quick. My daughter had her 5th birthday party here and everyone had so much FUN! The gal working that night was super attentive and did a great job setting up for us. And y’all - the way they wrapped everyone’s individual pieces is just so precious. A lot of work goes into the little details, and I REALLY appreciate that. This was the third time we’ve been here and I know we’ll be fans for years to come. Love having a cozy creative place so close to home. 💚

Had a blast having some girls' time and making something cute and fun! The staff made it a very pleasant and enjoyable experience.

Parking is hard because it's in Downton. My 5, 7 and 9 year old all loved it. Great for kids and adults. Helpful staff. $$$ just under $100 for 4 smaller items. Cheap end is $10 each for ornaments, most items are around $22 - $28 larger items go up to $48 or more.

This place is ADORABLE! I came with some girlfriends for a pottery night and though there was a wait, we were called back in less than 30 minutes when a table opened up. Everyone here is so personable and helpful! There are also a ton of options of pottery pieces to paint, from dog bowls to wine glasses to mugs to decorative artwork. I painted a cloud plate with peaches on it. The entire process was very relaxing and therapeutic. There are also many different resources you can use for creating certain shapes or patterns. If you sign up for texts you can get 25% off your first piece! They told us we would get a call in 10 days to come pick up our items, which seems pretty long from now, but we are excited to see the final results. I would definitely recommend this place and will be returning

Fabulous place to be creative for 1-2 hours and then leave! No set up, no clean up! Expert service and recommendations by the staff. My mom and I celebrate our birthdays here, we're 55 and 75

People love this kind of thing and I don't blame them. This kind of activity used to be big in the 1960s by where I grew up. It was much cheaper back then with a larger selection of greenware to paint and create. I didn't participate but, went with a friend who did. I visited with others painting and walked around the area while waiting. Several groups including families and birthday parties were happily involved in this cool endeavor and activity. the staff is super helpful with ideas and advice if needed or they can just let you do your own thing. I was surprised how much I liked hanging out here and you should at least check it out. They ask that you make an appt to assure a spot but walk-ins are Squoze in if possible. Definite .... Go!!!!

Super fun! Great experience. Lots of colors and ceramics to choose from. Plenty of space. Would be cool for girls night out.

Took my 7-year old daughter and her friend there for a fun Saturday afternoon. I had been here once before about 2 years ago and it was ok but this time, had a phenomenal experience. The employee there, a tall young girl, I think her name was Mauve, was so helpful and really patient. My daughter's friend Ellie made a mistake with her painting, and was a little upset. Mauve was so sweet in wiping the tears away, and helping Ellie fix her piece. She even got Ellie laughing by the end of our visit, and was a big hit with both the girls. You always hear about today's teens not knowing how to work hard or knowing customer service. They should meet this lovely young lady at this cute shop in McKinney. She was working hard while her co-worker was not, and Mauve was just so so nice. We'll be back!

THE WORST EXPERIENCE. They are unfriendly and will tell you 25min wait time JUST to make you stand and wait outside for 2 hours. never going back again; this is the SECOND time it's happen.

While running errands with my boys, we decided to extend our trip out and look for something fun and new to do. I googled paint and pottery places and Walls Of Clay popped up. I called to make sure I could get a table for the three of us and advised we were approximately 30 min away. On the phone they were very pleasant and said they'd find a table for us no problem. When we arrived there was a table reserved just for us! Since we had never been, we felt a little intimidated walking in and seeing so many options. However, several of the girls working immediately put us to ease and walked us through every thing we wanted to try. My sons are 10 and 11 and chose to make a candle and glass fusion. I chose a candle as well. After we created these, we just had to choose MORE! It was so fun. So my eldest switched to glass fusion while waiting for his candle to cure and my youngest switched to painting pottery. I also chose a plate. It isn't "cheap" but in my opinion so worth it! The experience, time together, creating something personal to each of us, and the atmosphere along with so many options is definitely worth the cost. I can't wait to go back! I love that you are only limited by your own creations and imagination, even than, they help you with ideas. There is an entire walls of extra paint to choose from other than what is available on the table. There are also tons of paint brushes of every size and shape. As far as the pottery to choose from, well, it seemed endless. The price points are great in that you can find something to do for every single budget. I promise. Definitely worth it. A must visit. The girls helping were so sweet and helpful. One offered to write on my plate for me because I was nervous I'd screw it up. It ended up being a packed house but the girls remained attentive and helpful. Thanks so much for a last minute amazing outing with my boys making core memories!

Me and my partner went to walls of clay for the first time today! We had so much fun and really enjoyed the new experience. Staff was very friendly and it was very accessible for first time guest!

I stopped by this studio with my 3-year-old daughter and we loved it so much that we ended up painting for over 3 hours. The owner and people working there were so lovely and very helpful as they patiently worked with us to pick out pieces and compatible glazes. Since we were visiting from out of town, we opted to have our pieces shipped home. We had trouble with the post office and even though it wasn't Walls of Clay's fault, they ended up resolving everything for us. It was incredibly nice. Definitely visit this place if you have a chance!

This place is so much fun! Its good for practically all ages. It's a little pricey for some items, but decent prices for others. Surly you will find something you like. I have come twice now and really enjoyed each time. The employees are very helpful and friendly. There are several paint techniques you can use to customize your clay. The first time I did a bubble technique and the second time I did a splatter technique with a toothbrush. I have already eyed up what I'm going to paint next!

This place is fun for the whole family. I went with my boyfriend for my birthday, but you could bring kids, friends, grandparents, or the whole squad. Unless you are taking a class, you are able to choose your own piece of pottery to paint, which gives everyone options. They have coin banks, kitchen items, mugs, seasonal items and more. You can make it as simple or as intricate as you like. I was overwhelmed at the things I could paint so you shouldn't feel limited. They have a multitude of colors, tools, brushes, and everything you can imagine to let your creativity run wild. Note that you do not take your item home with you the day you paint it. It has to be glazed over the course of several days. So you pick it up 7-10 days after you paint it. No appointment or class needed, you can just walk in and start painting. The ladies in the store were super helpful in walking me through the process my first time in, so don't let it intimidate you. There is also glass fusion you can do at this location. I have not tried it but plan to soon!

Walked in on a Saturday to paint pottery and it was pretty busy. You can pick from many blank pieces around the studio all with varying prices. They supply multiple paint color options along with brushes. After painting, they will fire your art in a kiln and the turn time is about 2 weeks to finish.

Such a cute space, and unique way to have fun with friends or family. I was taken here for the first time for my birthday, and we did the glass fusing. I really liked that you could make things you would actually use in your home! I made a night light, and it goes perfectly in my kitchen! The glass fusing is easier than it looks. You pick your base, and then have all kinds of glass to choose from. Broken flat pieces, glass marbles with flat backs, small glass tubes that you can break into small pieces. Once you get your design on your base you spray it and leave it, then they melt and fuse t all together. All of our pieces turned out so cute, and we were excited to get them! You get a call and can come pick it up anytime. My husband and I went last November for our anniversary weekend, and did the ceramic painting. We found a tea light jar we liked, and painted it together. It was so fun, and really easy to do! They have different sized brushes for you to get creative, and even small bottle with a fine point if you need to make small lines. It is a little expensive, and you are more paying for the experience, but for a fun thing to do every now and then for a special occasion, it great! You can even schedule parties in their party room, and they do events where they show you how to make some of their display pieces!

We enjoy going her to paint pottery. We took out of town family and my girls have gone a few other times. Definitely a perk that you can enjoy beautiful downtown McKinney at the same time or have lunch and pop over.

Walls of Clay is a great place to go for creating beautiful keepsakes. I get ornaments done ever year to commemorate the milestones in my sons lives. They also create beautiful gifts to give to family members. The staff here have always been extremely helpful and work very hard to create these precious little memories. Definitely go here if you want a sweet customized keepsake!

My kids and I were out wasting a day and just happened to see this place. I think you're supposed to have an appointment but we got lucky and there was an open table. Everyone was kind and helpful, we had a great time together and have something to remember it by. Ask for special colors, I didn't see them until we were checking out.

I have taken my girls to Walls Of Clay before to just have some painting fun & they really liked it!! SO - we opted to have my 7 year old's Birthday party there this year, and it was a HUGE hit!! They have multiple Birthday party packages to choose from that were all beyond cute! The staff was amazing - they were kind, patient, attentive, and had fillers and activities for any down time during the party! Every single girl at the party RAVED about how much fun they had, and they are all excited to see their final creations once they are complete and ready for pick up! We made a unicorn wish dish, but their Slime Lab 101 party package looks awfully appealing for next year! The kids had fun, the staff was amazing, and the even better news IS that you can just walk away when it is over because the clean up is on them to handle! Love this fun business in Downtown McKinnney!

Walls of Clay were amazing in helping us throw an amazing 9th birthday for my kiddo! Sarah was the best hostess! She made sure all the girls had a great time and was attentive to all of their needs. We will definitely come back and we highly recommend checking out Walls of Clay!!

I went to a private event on Saturday for a girlfriends birthday, Ashley and Bella were so fun!! They helped us get set up and get going on our projects....they were very watchful and let us girls have our fun but if any of us needed anything they were right there!! They were sweet and funny! We have decided to book another event and bring our kids for some fun next!! Thank you ladies for making our friends Brithday festivities so great!!

I love this place! I have been multiple times but most recently I took two kids I was babysitting and they had a blast. The two girls working were very friendly and patient despite it being a bit hectic as it was mothers day. I definitely would recommend Walls Of Clay, you cant go wrong and it's great for bhoth kids and adults!

Love love love this place ! We have been here many times. A wonderful way to spend an afternoon! I will definitely be back for the glass fusion class. It looks like so much fun! Spent a dreary afternoon here with my daughter who was home from college on Spring Break! They are so helpful here and there are many ideas to help you get started! Love it !

Super awesome staff! Such a neat and quiet place to go too! The staff is super helpful with showing you ways to do complete designs. We've been 3 times in the past 3 months!

Cute shop and cool idea, especially for unique gifts, and the kids had a good time painting. But, I will not be returning after my order was not completed in the 5-7 time frame, so the kids didn't have a present for Father's Day, as promised. It took until the following Thursday for the order to be ready, 11 days. Then, 2 pieces of my order were missing and I had to go back to get it. Staff also seemed poorly trained, as they couldn't tell me the shop hours and didn't know how much each item was when checking me out.

Such a great place of you just need somewhere to be able to relax! I've been twice with my best friend and we absolutely love this place, with her being all artsy it gives me time to just hang out with her and chat which is great and me of course not being artsy laughing at all the mistakes I make!

This is such a neat place to paint some ceramic wares. They have some things in the store to choose from and I think they can order some things out of a catalog. You can take your time painting and they also are willing to help when you need ideas. I have painted two things there and I plan on doing some more.

My sister and I stopped in for something different and fun to do. Even though the weather was bad, the staff was super friendly and helpful. We had a great time, and can't wait to get our coffee mugs back! :)

We had a kids birthday party here. They did a great job keeping the kids happy! Georgia was a great hostess. We got our finished product back sooner than expected.
