"Order any of the seven burgers at Wally’s, and your plate will arrive with fries, pickle chips, a burger, and another burger. Whether you get the one topped with pepper jack and jalapeños or the one with BBQ sauce and cheddar, you’ll get two burgers that are cooked in a cast-iron skillet for around $15. On the off chance that you need more reason to go to this diner in Surf City, they also serve great stuff at breakfast, like big pancakes filled with peanut butter and chocolate chips, and topped with chocolate, peanut sauce, and powdered sugar." - Matt Tervooren, Tonya Russell

From the amazing hospitality to the award winning chowder, this place is absolutely phenomenal! Every item is perfectly curated to the customers plate, something for everyone! My mom devoured the avocado spring rolls, with an addictive tamarind dipping sauce. Also the award winning manhattan clam Chowder was insane ! I had the most incredible wedge salad I’ve ever had ! Highly recommended by my server Linda and I can see why! I also loved the barnegat scallops and the vegan pesto gnocchi which I added shrimp to , pro tip! My mom loved the ahi tuna! Finally you must try the homemade crumb cake they grill it and it’s out of this world !

Food is a let-down. Peach bum pork chop sounded amazing on paper, but they don't marinate the pork long enough for the flavor to come through. It tastes like a plain pork chop and the peaches weren't sweet at all, unripe in fact. Even the asparagus wasn’t cooked right, rendering it bitter and tough to chew. Coconut shrimp tasted like regular fried shrimp. Service was excellent at least with a kind hostess.

The atmosphere and service are lovely! The food was even better! This restaurant incorporates charities and other businesses into their menu to help support the community. The outside patio area was a refreshing spot to enjoy a nice brunch with my family. The food was also very nice.

Excellent. What a treat to have such a variety on the breakfast menu! I did not ask but each section seemed to be dedicated to a cause/charity. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The space was very clean. The feed was excellent and came out extremely fast. Everything was working like a well oiled machine! Great coffee too! Try their take home crumb cake, wow!!

We love this BYOB. Another wonderful meal on LBI at Wally's! We really like that, most of the time, you can get on the wait list from the comfort of your home, receive updates easily, and stroll right past those waiting at the door and head to your table. I recommend having the patrons, who are waiting to be seated, wait outside and away from the entrance/exit. It was really hard for us and employees to get through the crowd. Our server, Carlos, was terrific! He was friendly, attentive, and an overall good server. Our food was delicious and plentiful; Salmon Toast, Garden Omelette with Home Fries and Rye, Peanut Butter Cup Pancakes, and Savory Scrapple. We're praying for outside dining for ya'll! See you soon.

Many of the things I’ve tried at Wally’s have been delicious, but some have been a miss. The avocado roll is greasy and the ahi tuna sandwich has an odd sweetness to it, but the pulled pork sandwich is great and so are the burgers. What I do want to make clear is that Wally’s has excellent service and a wonderful atmosphere, I just find $13 for the chicken tenders (pictured) a little insulting. They’re small and the breading isn’t great, so it was a really underwhelming meal.

We went there for brunch date, the hostess who helped us to get our table was not very considerate. She gave us table which was not we prefer spite of the other table was available. The food at this place was average nothing out of the box. They have very few vegetarian options. Our server was pretty good and helpful. The atmosphere of this place is not so great and welcoming for everyone. We visit LBI every long weekend and most of summer weekends and now i know why family do not come for this place, it was my first time. We got breakfast burrito and Mediterranean omelette, and both of them were average and very pricey. FYI: additional some charges for credit card payment. Overall, below an average hostess with decent server and average food and atmosphere.

Could not appreciate this place enough! This was our first time vacationing at LBI for the week and this was our first stop while we waited for the house to be ready. Both of our children have Celiac disease, so the very large gluten free menu was amazing! The vibe was great, the bathrooms were clean, the line was a little long but they texted us when ready. Lastly, the server Linda and manager Suzanne were so helpful and kind. They explained to us about the separate area for the GF food. I couldn’t recommend this place enough - we will be back later on this week!
