So this review is not about the Walmart store itself, but about a product that I purchased at this particular Walmart. I am talking about my 42' Vizio Smart Tv! I couldn't find any other place to leave this comment like their website, so I'm leaving it here. Listen up people DO NOT, I REPEAT DO NOT BUY A VIZIO SMART TV! I bought the original tv in 2014, now I know it's been a while, but let me tell you about the unfortunate experience of dealing with them. So I purchased my tv from this Walmart in Newport and everything was fine until I got it home. First, the tv loves to freeze, for no reason at all. At first I thought it was my cable provider, so after numerous conversations with Cox, I figured it can't be my cable or internet connection, because my other devices work fine, it has to be the tv!
The Smart feature doesn't work. Every time I would try to watch Netflix, the tv would freeze or just go black. So I kept calling Vizio, at this time I was still in my warranty so they shipped a "new" tv. Now I have had this replacement tv from about June 2014 to now, and it's a total piece of crap. Not to mention I only had the original tv for about 4 months before it had to be replaced! Currently, I can't watch Hulu or Netflix, without the tv freezing, cutting off on me and the remote not working. When the tv freezes, I literally have to unplug it in order for it turn off. Now I have called Vizio customer support over 7 times and every time they have me do some ridiculous process, like pressing all the buttons on the remote control twice (that really happened) or turning on and off the tv, but it fixes nothing! All they do is give me the run around. With my latest call I finally figured they had no real intention of helping me because I didn't buy the extended warranty. So they would have been content wasting my time knowing full well, they weren't going to really help. Now I am going to have to buy a new tv, when there should be nothing wrong with the one I have. I have been completely turned off by this entire experience and I will NEVER buy a Vizio product again!
