Walmart Supercenter

Jonathan was a great manager at checkout. He was super helpful and friendly. I meant to leave a review on the pad but I was thinking about food and was hungry and forgot to give him a shout out. Thanks for your help today at Walmart!! I was really hungry. I haven't been sleeping the best because I have no bed and I don't have space to lay down in my car. I packed my things pretty quickly from Oklahoma and got out of there. Then someone decided to make a few charges on my card and so it got permanently canceled. I filed a complaint. They said they would send a new one but I don't have an address and I'm homeless so that creates another issue. I appreciate you all letting me write a check at Walmart today. 💜 The next visit at Walmart as I told my mother when she asked what I did today: I asked Bancfirst in Oklahoma City for help about fraud and they cancelled my card so I had to open a 🆕 🏦 account in to get money. I had to go to 3 different banks. It took all morning. I even got a warning for trespassing just like in college with Barrett and 👺 down by the river. I was just burying a little treasure for one of the 🏦. They said they couldn't cash my check because it was out of network. That didn't make sense to me because I thought they were also covered FDIC. Then my 📸 broke that you gave me (mom) and I got really 😭 and 😡 because I took it apart and couldn't fix it. The 🕶️ broke or wore out. I wanted to make a 🌝 raker thing for Zendaya, I do mean the 🍿 🎥 and 🎤. I went to Walmart and got a new 📸 but I didn't want to overdraft my new account so I wrote a ✔️ and it wouldn't go through. I wrote 2 more ✔️ and the 2nd one went through. It took about an hour on the 🤳 with the transaction company to get it done. I had so many things going on at once I forgot to rate it on the pad thing and when it asked if I wanted to donate to hunger (me being hungry also) I had already made the check out for the exact amount. It's a new special 📸 for me. Sorry I'm just dirty and 💤 deprived. I really don't have anywhere to lay down in the 🚗🚨. Everyone asked me if I had my 🍏 on. I had it riding on my back ⚡. Everyone also kept saying 🍀!! Good thing I had my 🍀 🐟 🧦 on today!! And no 🤔 my 🐾 hurt all day, I had a 🦶 💍 on!! Got my job at the 🦞 in Vail and had these same 🐠 socks on. They were given to me by some of my mom's friends when they came to visit when I lived there. It's been "rrrrough" as Blue says 💙 💍 The 3rd visit at Walmart was much simpler. I got a 🐔 and a 🥤 and some 🚬, everything I needed and they even gave me a bag for my chicken so it wouldn't leak. I got back to the rest stop and it did leak a little. Looks like I peed myself but you're not 😎 unless you do!! Gonna give 🐾 the 🐔 🧃 with his 🍽️ ⌚ on. ❤️😘 3/23/25 visit Unfortunately all did not go well. I was trying to get some breakfast and groceries to last a day or two while I wait for Zendaya to show up. The 3rd party check company which I had used the previous 2 days had denied my check even with me on the phone. They said I had to wait 24 hours to spend my own money. 😢

Just a note: you have to bring your own bags or buy paper sacks. 10 cents each or the fabric wm bags are 80 cents I think. Worth it! Store is huge. Immaculate and incredibly stocked every single year we come here. It’s our one stop groceries and anything else for a week of fun camping and trail riding! Super friendly staff as well!

How often does this store get fresh deliveries? We have shopped here twice on the way home from the hospital, and both times we have had meat and produce go bad on us in just two days. Never again, we will get paper towels and canned items from here, but not much else. Such a waste of money where fresh food is concerned.

Clean, nice staff. Exploding chip bags. Deer everywhere. Mountains everywhere. It's a good time. (Bring your own bags)

Black Bear diner was a great place to eat for Christmas and the staff were awesome! Thank you for the experience, you made it special!

I usually enjoy shopping at this Walmart—the store is clean and has a decent selection for a small town. Unfortunately, my experience was ruined by the rude behavior of the front end customer service associate, Pam. Her attitude was unprofessional and dismissive, which made the entire checkout process unpleasant. Customer service should enhance the shopping experience, not leave customers feeling frustrated. I hope management addresses this, as one person’s behavior can reflect poorly on the whole store.

Spacious!! Lots of space to shop without feeling overwhelmed or overcrowded. The clothing section stuck out to me because I noticed more options than large or extra large.

Conveniently located, run-of-the-mill Walmart. It's right off the highway and it boasts an expansive parking lot, produce section, and garden center. Just like every Walmart, there's everything you could imagine. TVs, apples, drills, you name it, they've got it. They currently have a large celebratory section (think "Congrats Grad!"), as well as a sizable patriotic section (likely for Memorial Day or 4th of July). My primary complaint for this location is that a large number of beauty/hair care items have seemingly been open or otherwise tampered with. The lids have been unscrewed and there are finger marks in the goop indicating that someone has stolen from the container and simply put it back on the shelf. Obviously this is a wide-spread issue, but I'd appreciate if management would keep a closer eye on that section and try to prevent that from happening. Last time I went, I noticed that issue was particularly prevalent with sunscreens, hair gels/mousses, and body scrubs. It's disheartening to see, and I would hate if someone bought the item only to realize that someone else had already taken part of it. Otherwise, this is a generic Walmart that serves the same purpose as all the other ones. Prices cannot be beat and the view this one provided is pretty phenomenal.

Disappointing deli has not been up and running for over a month. Today observed an incident with the older lady with oxygen who watches the exit, harassing people and actually calling one "an ass" with zero provocation. she needs to be given a different duty or quit. Numerous other times have heard her chatting with other staff about how unhappy she is working there. Obviously she is taking it out in the customers.

I was driving home from Colorado Springs and my sister in law asked me to pick up her groceries. We arrived at 2pm called to see if we get them sooner. As her time was at 5 pm. We were told yes. Sat in the pick up parking lot for 3 hours. We called a couple times and were told 15 minutes longer. Wish we had been told no.......instead of yes and to wait another 15 minutes. WTH?!

I can't say I love going to Wal-Mart, or the store in general, but besides covid Era Salida Wal-Mart almost always has my list covered plus a few extra things. The garden center was great yesterday. Plants and herbs looking healthy and affordable. Super nice staff too.

I don't usually leave reviews for Walmarts but I loved this one so much, I just had to! Everything was so organized and clean! The store smelled nice, surprisingly. The employees were actually sweet here, and considerate. The bathrooms were super clean and well stocked. I am so impressed with this location. If you're driving through Salida, this is the best travel stop. If you live here, this is the go to grocery store (unless you have a favorite local shop).

Very friendly staff. I have found that Monday isn't the be day to shop. Lots of empty shelves for common items. Probably since the weekend wiped them out. This store is a smaller Walmart so variety is limited. Especially some seasonal items. Once the run out that's it til next year!

There aren't many places to shop in the area. So if you're looking to do a big trip, Wal-Mart is the place to go. Because this is an updated review, I'll just note that this is actually a clean, well-lit store. What can you get at Wal-Mart? Nice to have a place to stock up on food and camping needs without paying tourist prices.

Walmart is my least favorite place on earth, but if I need one, I'd use this one in Salida.

This is a huge store- overwhelms whatever you need. Normally don't do reviews chain retail but on vacation and needed bunch of stuff and employees were super helpful also.

Hello it's me, I'm just enjoying a Chablis in Salida reminiscing about our rendezvous at the Walmart superstore earlier today. We had one goal of finding some river friendly shoes. The abundance of options and distractions of jean short collections were overwhelming. One box of mini donuts for the road as they say.

The pharmacist on duty at the Salida Walmart pharmacy refused to fill a prescription written by my Salida doctor. After contacting the appropriate authority, he changed his mind! In the future our prescriptions will be filled at a different pharmacy!

Questionable business practices aside, when you need a Walmart you need a Walmart. If you're not familiar with the area like me finding and supporting Ma & Pop shops can be a project -compounded by being pressed for time the reliability and expectation of the Supercenter is the easy answer.

This is the Star Wars Cantina of incompetence. Every distorted type of ineffective customer service, or lack of basic common sense exists here. 20 minutes and counting while a revolving crew of language challenged, clueless, or inept staff tries to help the same 2 people in returns. Truly amazing to witness if it weren't so painful to just return a lousy electric razor replacement head, which I grabbed because it was in the wrong bin. Of course.
