"With velvet stools and curtains and a dark walnut wood interior (hence the name), The Walnut Room is a great place to nurse a cocktail after reading too much news or Albert Camus. It’s also a great place to get a cocktail and some bar snacks, period—after a long day walking around the city, browsing the art at the nearby RISD Museum, or just because you want something to drink. We recommend any of the drinks made with pistachio liqueur, which adds a nutty, orgeat-esque sweetness that you can’t quite put your finger on (in a good way). They do have some outdoor seating, though it’s usually taken by a bunch of Brown University professors or Rhode Island School of Design students." - Grace Kelly

I DJ at this venue often, so Walnut Room has a close place in my heart! The staff is so accommodating, friendly and welcoming. If you're looking to dance the night away to the classic sounds of soul and funk music, look no further.

Walnut Room is a chic lounge located in downtown Philly where u can get great finger foods and reasonably priced drinks. I usually go on Tuesday nights for the amazing live music by some of my friends and the top traveling musicians in the world.

My favorite place to party on Thursday evenings! My good friend, DJ PHSH plays the best selection of music. If you're ever in the city, make sure to stop in. The drinks are a little pricey but, just go to have a good time and dance with other music-lovers.
