One of my favorite breakfast spots in Beverly Hills. they have the best breakfast burritos. i order is at least once a week. the price is solid and the quality is superb. can’t go wrong with a good goat cheese omelette with a side of roasted potatoes when i order delivery. When i go into the location they have many breakfast options and lunch options but i got the breakfast burrito and it was great quality. love the simplicity

Good food, good service. The turkey cranberry panini was a little dry, but everything was good and reasonably priced. I expected to struggle to find something reasonably priced for lunch in Rodeo Drive, but I’m thankful we found Walter’s!

This is an underrated gem in beverly hills that needs more attention. You can get a filling lunch for ~$15 here. Everything is good and they have some top tier onion rings that I paired with a panini.

Prices were great! Food was delicious! Waitress was very accommodating. Location was good! Parking on street was easy to find. We sat outside on a perfect day and it was dog friendly!

Visited here on a Sunday morning..there was no much traffic at the time I visited it was pleasant. Tried their pancakes..they were awesome,loved their organic and vegan options.

Wonderful family owned restaurant with exceptional customer service and great tasting food. My party all enjoyed the food. Depicted in the photo is their tuna melt sandwich. Perfectly seasoned and was cooked very well. Will definitely return when I'm in the area.

Fast service, delicious food, lovely young ladies who serve, and reasonable prices. I recommend it to people coming to LA for the first time. 👍

Walter's is an old school cafe and an unpretentious place for lunch in Beverly Hills. The server was wonderful, full of humor, and very quick to take our order and check back on us. The menu is very extensive and has something for everyone. I had the grilled shrimp salad which was wonderful. The shrimp were plentiful and tasted like they had been cooked with the shell on which always makes them more flavorful. My partner had the Cozumel taco salad which was loaded with fresh grilled chicken. I highly recommend either of these options. They have indoor seating and outdoor seating next to the sidewalk along Beverly Dr. which makes for great people watching. There are meters along the street, and also a parking garage nearby on Beverly Dr. that has free parking for the first 2 hours. I'd definitely return again for breakfast or lunch.

First impression? Well, for starters, my wife has been wanting to try them after walking and driving by for years. So we went in with high hopes. But the servers not knowing what a Cortado was, and just serving me a latte, rubbed me the wrong way and started my brunch off on the wrong foot. Customer service wasn't anything special. Our first busser was friendly and quick, but after him, no one stood out. My wife and I really enjoyed our food, though! She loved her Shakshuka, which she had been craving for some time. I really liked it as well. Very flavorful and the sauce was perfect, not too watery, not too thick. My french toast was good. Can't really mess that up. Also ordered a side of roasted potatoes. They were good as well. Overall, we had a good first experience. Discussed returning soon for lunch. And for me to show and explain to their servers what a cortado is. I'd recommend them for a good meal if you're in the neighborhood. Was a little pricey, but hey, that's the neighborhood for you.

I was looking for a place to have lunch at and walked by here. The menu looked like it would appeal to my kids so we sat down. There are tables inside and outside - I guess they were allowed to keep the outdoor seating built in the street due to the pandemic. It was a gorgeous day so we dined al fresco. The menu has typical American diner food - salads, sandwiches, salads, pastas and breakfast foods. According to their menu, Walter's is the 2nd oldest restaurant in Beverly Hills. Seems they have a lot of regulars that come here, the staff seemed to know them and chatted them up. We ordered the Napoli Chicken Panini (4/5) , the Cali Turkey Panini (5/5), Breakfast Burrito (5/5), and Bleu Burger (4/5 per my son who said he didn't like the Bleu cheese). They even offer gluten free bread for $1 extra. The staff is all so kind. Not only was our server nice and attentive, but the kitchen staff even stepped out to say "thank you" when I was walking out from the bathroom. So nice! They take Apple Pay, you just have to go inside to pay at the register. They have a baked items in the glass case inside by the door as well. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend this spot for a good meal, with good prices, and good service! Thanks Walter's!

lol what a rip off..this places portions for the price they charge..shameful. But it's BH! Basic as* spaghetti is $19. I finished it in like 6 bites.

Came here for a work breakfast with some colleagues and clients and wasn't disappointed. We had a group of 8 and they were able to sit us right away. There were a couple other large parties there but even with that, service was still good. Our server was nice and everything came out quickly. The fold was all tasty and filling! I'm a sucker for a good breakfast. The prices were good too even with the location being where it was! I could definitely see myself going back if I was in town.

We are very saddened to hear that Walter's, an institution in BH, is closed. Whoever used to make their phenomenal breakfast burritos, please open your own shop ASAP!

Wow, this place is a hidden gem! We stumbled upon this place on our morning walk and got coffee and it was really amazing! They have wellness drinks, which have superfoods and they also roast their own coffee. If you're here for the food, they use all organic ingredients. My favorite item is the breakfast burrito, just knocks it out the park every time. Service is super friendly also, the staff is always energetic and friendly when I come in, def check them out if you haven't! They're a great addition to the neighborhood and there's also a parking structure next door so it's always easy to get here!

Neighborhood institution and community supporter-we should all support long running businesses and eating establishments. You can taste the effort that goes into the home cooked food

Love this place It's a small spot in Beverly Hills. It wasn't busy so I sat myself. The layout is awesome! It's bright and the staff is very friendly. I had pancakes, eggs, bacon, and sausage with fresh squeezed orange juice. It came out fast and hot! Man if I had more time here I'd come back. Hopefully I will!

Our waitress Mary was very nice and attentive. Her service was terrific. My eight year-old daughter, loved the food and in particular the chicken fingers. I wanted her to like the cucumbers and bell peppers. Oh well. Good value and excellent quality.

Walter's Café on South Beverly Drive has improved service since my last review over 4 years ago. Originally located on Wilshire/North Camden Drive inside the William Morris Endevour corporate building where my office was. Ordering for office delivery was a breeze, as the previous staff members were great. When Walter's moved to South Beverly Drive the stellar staff members changed and phone order service was painfully bad: rude, unprofessional mostly by the order takers. I stopped ordering for a long while, yeah 4 years! Over the last couple of weeks, I stopped by and sat outside the outdoor shaded patio and ordered some of my fav items. The waitresses and staff were cordial, helpful and professional...a dramatic improvement from the previous staff. When service is great, one's dining experience is enjoyable. Walter's is next door to Chaumont Vegan and across from South Beverly Grill. SBG doesn't offer outdoor dining now and Walter's does. Walter's is a small diner and is only open until 7a-2:30pm, main business from phone orders from workers in surrounding corporate office in downtown BH. Typically, I order what is not offered at SBG: the soups, salads and onion rings! They still deliver locally and often times you see their delivery guys in the neon green bikes in the area. Also dog friendly; offers Fendi H20 :o) Limited metered street parking or city parking structure 1 hour Free! Walking here is easy as it's half a block from my place at The Maybourne. Recommend

The food is good pricie but decent~ It's a good neighborhood sandwich spot, and the food is consistent. They do deliver, but there are other places in the neighborhood I would prefer to go to.

They've built nice patio dining. The service was a bit slow, but helpful & friendly. It's traditional American brunch. My omelette with broccoli, spinach, sausage, & Swiss cheese was big & tasty, with roast potatoes. It also came with toast, English muffin, or bagel. $1 extra for cream cheese, as I recall. The 2 eggs combo breakfast was good, but they cut a sausage link in half & call it 2 links, hmmmm. However, the strawberry pancakes had real strawberries & were good. This restaurant is good for dining, people watching, or just relaxing. I imagine they're packed on weekends. Free public parking in the lot just south.

Been a fan of Walter's for a long time. Great food, good service & unbeatable prices for Beverly Hills. Deli atmosphere with lots of deli favorites & some local stuff too.

The first time I went to Walters it was 1974 and Vietnam war was still going on. I have been there maybe 600 times since, more than any other place. Though the sticky cinnamon raisin rolls have been around for years, most of the other menu has evolved over the years to what it is today, something that can't be said about any other cafe. The staff always greets me by name and can usually guess what I want to order. Even the new employees somehow know who I am.

The turkey breast that they use for sandwiches tastes awful, I couldn't eat it, just threw it away. But omelettes are good and whole wheat bread from La brea bakery is great.. it's hit or miss in terms of quality

Came here on a sunny Sunday afternoon. They had outside and indoor seating. At first we were a bit confused if we had to order at the counter first or just take a seat, but we just caught the server and asked. We took a seat outside and she quickly gave us our menus. Both servers were super attentive and refilled our coffees consistently. Loved the salmon bowl. Good portion and surprised at how big the salmon was.

Always a great time at Walters! The consistency of the food is always on point. Service is great and friendly! Definitely going back for brunch! .

This is our favorite breakfast place around this area. We love the bakery next door. However we come here more, just because they have more healthy options. We've tried their sandwiches, salmon bowl, and burritos so far. Everything's delicious. And I love that they have steamed veggies so that my young child can get some. The staff is always friendly and welcoming. Very kids friendly restaurant!

Very tasty, quick delivery. They have been a very reliable restaurant and delivery service for many years. They care about their business and it is reflected in the quality and care they take in servicing our community if you are in BH and want a good meal, order from them.

I get delivery from here when I can. They've always done a great job getting the food to us on time and correct! Love the tuna sandwich there and anything else I've tried has constantly been delish!

I enjoyed our visit to Walter's! I brought my 3 year old and my 6 year old. They were very understanding of the chaos that was going on at our table! The service was fast, the food was very good. The only reason for the 3 stars is I didn't feel like it was super family friendly for my age kids, as I think a lot of folks came to eat alone and read, and we definitely were bothering them with our volume! I think we would definitely come back (and sit outside!)

I frequently get Walter's for lunch, but today it was definitely not as good. I got my typical fried chicken tender salad, and there was less chicken and less cheese than usual. There was also one little cup of dressing - usually they give 2. Not sure if there's a new manager, but I definitely won't be willing to pay top dollar for skimpy portions anymore.

CLEAR AS DAYY! I ordered a panini for pick up and I find the longest hair WRAPPED around my pickle. I was just about to take a bite but good thing I caught it.

Absolutely wonderful. Outstanding service and delicious breakfast. Environment is relaxed and welcoming. My daughter and I both had cinnamon French toast and a fruit plate. Yummy.

My office coordinator occasionally sends emails around to ask what we want for lunch. I always like Walter's Cafe because of their extensive, tasty menu. I've been a customer for many years and the quality has only gotten better. Healthy or decadent choices, they're all good.

Small hole in the wall place with awesome food and fantastic service. I had the French toast and scrambled eggs and my wife had scrambled eggs and bacon. They were both so tasty and fantastic and yet other places seem to mess easy things up. We wanted a nice light breakfast with some great service and that's exactly what we got.

The prices are great very reasonable. Location is great in Beverly hills. Parking on the street was easy to get. We sat outside, it was dog friendly.

As a frequent customer of Walter's Beverly Hills I was very repulsed once I got to the bottom of the container to find a quite unfortunate surprise in my Cesar Salad. Living small black bugs were crawling throughout it, that I had already consumed. I immediately felt sick to my stomach... As a Beverly Hills establishment I was in complete awe that I was experiencing this. Once I contacted the establishment requesting the manager, I was contacted a day later. The manger Fred, offered me a $20 compensation which was very insulting. When speaking directly to Fred, he explained that lettuce bugs are common in his establishment, along with bones in the meat, as well as hairs being found. He insinuated as if improper food handling was a common situation. The entire conversation was utterly appalling. Not to mention, Fred was very unprofessional, as well as passive aggressive when speaking to me. At one point he even attempted to escalate the conversation by raising his voice at me. I was immediately disgusted. The manager continued to justify bugs being served in the salad as if it was a common reoccurrence in the establishment. Being a frequent customer that dines in Beverly Hills on a regular occasion, I would not recommend this establishment to anyone. First order of business in a restaurant is preparation which obviously is not being followed. Please see photos attached, as they have lost a valued customer.

What a LOVELY place. We went as a little family with our 6 year old son, 2 days in a row, and right away when you enter you feel a homy, cozy warm neighbourhood cafe feeling. We personally love that. SUPER KIND and very helpful service. My husband and son can basically eat everything, but I am gluten-free. No problem, many gf option, and they have gf bread, so sandwiches could be made gf. Their fresh squeezed orange so goood and sweet. They ask if you want your bacon soft or crispy. They butter your toast for you if you like. Where do you still get those 'extras'? Here! Also they were really sweet to our son, which we loved ad well. Food: Good homemade food! We highly recommend!

Service was so kind and gentle, but the food was so bland. We were in the area and swung by for brunch on a Saturday, wanting some diner food and drawn in by the high ratings. We were seated quickly and orders taken promptly; the wait for food also did not take long. I got the breakfast burrito and while my partner got the Spanish scramble. My burrito was nearly flavorless, and I was basically just using it as a vehicle to ferry Cholula sauce into my mouth. The Spanish scramble was similarly bland, but also watery and became quickly unappetizing to look at as a result. A bit baffling that these were their 'popular' menu items, but perhaps it was just an off day.

Found this hidden place for breakfast or brunch on Beverly Drive in the heart Of Beverly Hills. The staff was friendly, service was great, the food was okay and a bit pricey. They are following COVID guidelines by requiring face mask and vaccination card for inside dining. Outside patio is available but we noticed a strong odor (human urine), so my friend informed our server- definitely need to be sanitized and clean.

I was charged an incorrect amount here, I just realized after I checked my card statement. Not only that, the food is quite bad. I can make a better grilled cheese sandwich at home this is not restaurant quality.

Love this place. Easy breezy place to get lunch and the food is always good. Service is super friendly. I love that they remember you and know what you like to order. I love their tuna as well as the variety of salads they have. Breakfast is one of my favorites here. I came in last weekend and got an omelette and it was perfection! I will definitely be coming back.

I came here for brunch starving and I can't believe the experience i had .. the food has no taste. The coffee (cafe mocha) came watered down it tasted like black coffee we didn't take it The panini was very dry my husband still ate half of it haha The pasta was OK but it is too thin to even be considered pasta .. angel hair .. like why The pasta is like 3/10 Best part was the fresh squeezed orange juice the size I'm showing u is a large kinda small but It was full to the top I drank some already. I wouldn't come back for food. The service was good and friendly so it's not their fault. I'm sorry I don't mean to hate on this place but everything I tried tasted really bad and I came here with an empty stomach. Maybe try it yourself and judge for yourself. I will find food somewhere else, definitely need a coffee first.

I've ordered here plenty time before, and I have to say that it has consistently gone downhill. I ordered the salmon bowl and the item description was different from what was delivered. I understand that these days things can be unpredictable and challenging, however if you have something on your menu, and you deliver it not as described, in addition to significant price difference, that's a problem. Very disappointing!

Great option just off of Rodeo drive that we actually visited 2x while staying around the corner at the Beverly Wilshire. Lunch was a craft-fully put together chicken panini on sourdough with Brie and aioli. Breakfast was a classic LEO (Loc, eggs, and onions)...delicious! Reasonable pricing,the option to eat outside, and metered street parking all worked to our advantage. Check it out when in the area!

Good food good service, solid all around cafe. They know what they're doing since they've been doing this in Beverly Hills for decades albeit in a different location. Have been coming to Walters for over 40 years. Always consistent and well run and clean!

Great spot if you're looking to dine in quick and your on a budget. I've been here for the 1st time and it was really good! The servers were really nice & even took care of our dog. It's a real chill spot and the best part is that they offer indoor and outdoor seating. We were seated quickly and service was fast too. The waitress was nice and very patient with out dog, and the food came out quick, i was like Ummmmm? Oh Oh is this going to be good? it was too fas but it was delcious! Walter's Cafe for the Painini for sure... It's a great option if your in the area! Napoli chicken panini... It was really good especially the basil garlic sauce!

I wanted to love this place! First, the service was great - I came wi to my girlfriend and her dog, and the server brought over water and dog treats! So sweet. We both split the bleu huger and the sandwich that is actually a tortilla (forgot the name). Both dishes were mediocre. We asked for the burger to be cooked to medium, and it was well done. The quesadilla sandwich thing was pretty flavorless. Maybe we just got the wrong thing, but we weren't impressed.

I have had decent experiences ordering delivery before, but today just didn't fit the bill. They do have fast delivery which is great. The cheeseburger didn't come with the thousand island as expected, so although it was a good size, it was super dry and had more bun than what was necessary. It needed more condiments than what were included on the side. The potato salad was interesting... dill and olives are an interesting choice. It needed seasoning but perhaps some people are sensitive to that. The fried chicken salad was basic, and mostly tomatoes and shredded cheese. I personally like more salad than toppings in my salad, and the hard boiled eggs were over cooked, since the yoke was mostly grey. For nearly $30 worth of food, I was pretty let down.

It was my first time at Walter's when my friend and I got breakfast here on a Sunday morning. Walter's has been around for over 50 years, and while you can definitely tell with the regulars that look like they have been coming for years and the traditional "American diner-style" menu, the actual restaurant looks like a casual modern cafe. There's indoor and covered outdoor seating. I ordered the steel cut oatmeal with berries, a hard boiled egg, and whole wheat toast. My friend got a turkey bacon and scrambled egg BLT sandwich. We both enjoyed our meals! My meal was pretty standard -- the food was tasty and filling. Walter's is a great place for a classic large breakfast/brunch or lunch by yourself, with a friend, or with a group. Service was quick, and the staff was very friendly! The staff and cooks seemed to get along with one another and enjoy working there. It definitely had a community/family vibe. Overall, I had a nice time at Walter's, and I'm looking forward to my next visit!

The torilla soup was excellent. We tried a variety of sandwiches including the panini and all were great!! Service was very attentive. Ask for Melanie she was great. Would recommend for a fast lunch while shopping in Beverly Hills.

Covid19/George Floyd Riots My neighbor was not well. Her housekeeper comes over three times a week but it was her off day. I decided to pick up lunch in the flats. I started an order at CPK on South Beverly but it turns out that the order would not be ready until 11:45. I told her that I would be there at 11. I knew I had to resort to a breakfast spot. I order something safe. Chinese chicken salad and Cesar salad. I saw diners enjoying their meals outside. The waitstaff were wearing masks and face shields. What a strange sight. The salads were fresh. We had them in her home. My daughter was even able to join us.

First, we have to remember that 3 stars means "A-OK" and not a negative connotation that most people associate with it. And that is actually exactly how I felt about my experience at Walter's Cafe - it was A-OK. Why? The food was just fine. Nothing bad, and nothing spectacular. Would I come here again? Maybe but it wouldn't get me excited. We ordered the pancake combo which was a 3-pancake stack with blueberries, a side of 2 eggs, and a side of sausage or bacon (which we subbed for well-done potatoes). We also ordered the breakfast burrito. The one thing that I immediately noticed was that the food was not over oily, over salty, or over sweet. It kind of felt like home-made food. The pancakes were good and pretty filling, the eggs were your standard scrambled eggs and the potatoes were cooked to perfection with no extra seasoning or salt. The breakfast burrito kind of annoyed me because it had too many big chunks of potatoes that overpowered anything else in the burrito. It almost felt like a potato burrito with a little bit of other things. I ended up picking out so many potatoes that I was left really with tortilla and cheese. Interior decor was pretty mediocre - nothing too fancy but clean. Service was very kind and honest. I guess it's a good place to try once and then decide if you want to come back again.

Chinese Chicken Salad never fails. Great service as well! Anytime I am craving a salad, I always go to Walter's. The parking is a bit of a hassle because of street parking, but everything else is good!
