The 12 Best Bars For Big Groups In London - London - The Infatuation
"At Walthamstow Trades Hall, everyone is welcome, even jazzy carpets that potentially should have been retired circa ‘93. The former working men’s club has a distinctly old-school flavour to it, with spilt pints, 70-odd-year-olds teaming up with 30-somethings to sing karaoke, and a stacked line-up of bands we challenge you not to croon along to. Come on the weekend with a group who aren’t afraid to make new friends, order a Yard Sale pizza from across the road, and request/murder Bon Jovi’s ‘Livin' On A Prayer’." - heidi lauth beasley, jake missing, sinead cranna
Where To Go When You Want To Dance But Hate Clubs - London - The Infatuation
"A Friday night at Walthamstow Trades Hall involves spilt pints, 70-odd-year-olds teaming up with 30-somethings to sing karaoke, and a stacked line-up of bands we challenge you not to dance along to. It’s not fancy, but this social club is all heart. Come on the weekend with a group who aren’t afraid to make new friends, order a Yard Sale pizza from across the road, and request (and subsequently murder) Bon Jovi’s ‘Livin' On A Prayer’." - rianne shlebak, jake missing, sinead cranna, daisy meager, heidi lauth beasley
Where To Go When You’re Feeling Extroverted & Want To Make New Friends - London - The Infatuation
"A night at Walthamstow Trades Hall is networking for people who understand the sensational bonding power of mutually hitting the high notes in ‘Livin’ On A Prayer’. Once a working men’s club, now a social hall that has retained its community feel and jazzy carpets, this pint-spilling joint has a whole lot of heart and heartfelt karaoke sessions to boot. Also, sharing a Yard Sale pizza from over the road is a delicious form of new mate bait." - heidi lauth beasley
Walthamstow Trades Hall - Review - Walthamstow - London - The Infatuation
"Walthamstow Trades Hall used to be a working men’s club and there’s still a community feel. These days anyone and everyone is warmly welcomed at the social club and a Friday night involves spilt pints, 70-odd-year-olds teaming up with 30-somethings to sing karaoke, and a stacked line-up of bands we challenge you not to croon along to. It’s not fancy, and some of the seats and the jazzy carpet have more character than the punters, but it’s got a lot of heart. Come on the weekend with a group who aren’t afraid to make new friends, order a Yard Sale pizza from across the road, and request/murder Bon Jovi’s Livin' On A Prayer.

What a gem in the heart of Walthamstow. Yes it's a bit rough around the edges but that's all part of the charm. I've never been somewhere where kids are welcomed so much - they even had soft play items out on the dancefloor. They sold a few non alcoholic cider and beer options which suited me. Spacious rooms and tables. Friendly staff. Oh and we ordered yard sale pizza and was able to bring it in to the Trades Hall and eat at our table. I believe the yearly membership is around £50 or £60 and gives you cheap drinks. Although the drinks were very reasonably priced as it is. Keep track of what they have going on, it's always an eclectic mix of events to suit everyone.
