The brunch at Wan Waan was an impressive experience. The menu selections offer great value. The atmosphere is delightful, and the staff are exceptionally friendly. From the appetizer menu, we tried the Crab Randoon, which were delightfully creamy, paired with a sauce that was genuinely tasty, along with the most exquisite Chicken Satays. The Honey Duck Basil and Pineapple Duck Curry special served as the main course was exquisitely prepared, flaky, and perfectly seasoned. They even tailored the spice level specifically for us, and it was a delightful experience. For dessert, the warm chocolate cake was indulgent, smooth, and the perfect sweet ending. I’ll definitely be coming back and recommending this place to friends!

Great cozy Thai spot in chelsea! We started with Thai iced coffee and lemon Thai iced tea, plus the crispy coconut shrimps and chicken satay. The standout for me was the grilled steak khao soi. The steak was cooked perfectly and paired perfectly with the coconut curry. The crabmeat fried rice was comforting, and you really can’t go wrong with coconut shrimps. Finished with mango sticky rice because it’s always a must. Overall, great food, cozy ambiance, and the staff were super nice and welcoming

Super quiet and cozy atmosphere. Every dish was flavorful and not too spicy. Highly recommend their Mango Sticky Rice, pineapple fried rice, and ribeye. The shrimps are very crispy and delicious. The staffs were attentive and the service was fast.

me and my girlfriend came for our early valentines celebration and it was definitely worth it!!! From the drinks, to appetizers, entrees and dessert were absolutely delicious! I’m definitely coming here again with my friends!! 🤎

Had lunch at Thai Wan Waan and it was such a great experience. The staff was super friendly and welcoming, always with a smile, and the service was spot on. The place has a calm, cozy vibe that makes you want to stay and enjoy. The Grilled Steak Fried Rice was packed with flavor, the Coconut Shrimp perfectly crispy, and the Massaman Curry rich and comforting. The Crab Rangoon was delicious, and the Mango Sticky Rice was the perfect ending. Cocktails were also really well made and refreshing. We’ll definitely be back!🌺

This restaurant offers a very comfortable dining atmosphere. The staff were extremely friendly, and I could easily ask them about the dishes—they gave me great recommendations. The food I ordered was absolutely delicious, bringing me the taste of Thailand right here in New York. The portions were quite generous, so I couldn’t finish everything, but I really enjoyed the experience. 😊

Amazing food (HH from open to 8pm DAILY). Pad Thai w chicken: great flavor although not the best I've had. The tofu included was firm/ soy tofu and not fried. Fried tofu (HH): flavorless as expected. Chicken wing (HH): very fatty but not bad. The sauce reminds me of a cha siu/ Chinese bbq with oyster sauce, dark soy sauce, brown sugar type shi. Service was decent and I will DEF be back. Who wanna meet me there for HH?

First impression of the restaurant was pretty good, as there is a nice trendy vibe with cool decor and a nice bar and table seating area. The staff are also pretty friendly and attentive. As for the food though, it was decent but honestly more like typical Thai take-out food quality rather than proper restaurant quality. I got the Crab Meat Pad Thai ($23), which did have a good amount of crab meat, but I thought could've used some more flavor and wasn't otherwise noteworthy. I also ordered the Chicken Volcano ($20), which was just some sautéed chicken with broccoli, cashews, and pineapple chunks. It was covered in a very slightly spicy sauce which I thought was actually pretty good but maybe a bit too much. The chicken was a good middle ground between crispy and tender though. Again, this quality is more what I would've expected if I ordered take-out and put this on my plate at home. The prices were okay considering it's NYC. I have to note though that at one point during our meal, there was a medium sized bug that crawled down the wall toward our table, which the staff quickly killed. Certainly didn't leave us with much appetite though... honestly if it weren't for that, I might have considered giving this place 4 stars but that certainly solidified 3 stars for me. If you're hungry and happen to be in the area or just looking for take-out, Wan Waan can get the job done, but otherwise I wouldn't go out of your way to come here.

Ribeye panang. The coconut milk curry was so rich, with ribeye steak it was even more luscious. The steak was perfectly seared, with a nice char on the outside, and remained tender and juicy on the inside. The fat cap was so delicious melting in your mouth like butter. Pla rui saun. Don't let bones stop you from savoring a delicious whole fish! Crispy fried fish topped with fresh salad, served with zesty, sweet and spicy sauce, complemented by fresh herbs and crunchy cashews. This is an orchestra of flavors and textures. Sai oua. Tried it for the first time, an iconic dish from northern Thailand. It has distinctive flavors from aromatic herb blends. Pad thai. You can't go wrong with this classic dish! A blend of sweet, savory, umami flavors. The noodle was chewy, al dente. Crispy tofu salad. Love the peanut dressing, so nutty, savory, tangy and sweet! For drinks we ordered Thai iced tea with whipped cream and mojito. Both were great!

Does the job Thai spot in Chelsea, especially if you don't have a reservation. This place had some open tables on a Friday night, so no need to stress there. It was pretty nicely flavored - nothing super special or unique, but if you're craving a certain Thai dish, it probably has it and can get your food quickly. Also got the Tom Yum soup which was great as well! I liked how they had a lychee thai iced tea - it's nothing I had have heard of before, so that was a nice change of pace

On a Friday night, I came here with 7 friends. We didn't have an issue getting a table. It was the Friday before Halloween and the restaurant was covered with decorations to celebrate it. I ordered the Tom Kha Gai and it was delicious. It was hot and it was full of mushrooms and chicken. The waitress and waiter were very attentive to us. They kept refilling up our cups of water. I recommend this restaurant for the foods and the service.

The food is great here! We had the fried chive and roti to start, the service was so great, our food was out in less than ten minutes! The spicy basil fried rice, garlic sauce and vegetables for entrees are a must have. Every dish was full of flavor and savory 5/5

We really enjoyed our Pad Thai and Pad See Ew. The place itself was pretty interesting, the decor is definitely something! Came on a Sunday night and I think we were one of two tables, but there's lots of takeout. The food was good though so I'd go again. Service was fine.

Great lunch specials! Got the shrimp panang curry with dumpling appetizer and it was delish. They don't skimp out! The curry had a kick to it. Would come back if I'm in the area.

My favorite Thai spot in Chelsea! Their service (for pick up) is always fast. I haven't dined in yet, but I also see that they have happy hour specials from open til 8 pm. Just a heads up, I do notice that their food is a bit spicier compared to other Thai spots in the city, but I don't mind it. My recent order wasn't as spicy (maybe they changed the spice level?). I recommend their Pad Kee Mao! Their Thai tea & iced coffee is also delicious!

3.5 stars rounded up for good service. Happy hour portions are large, but the items I had didn't really stand out vs. any random Thai restaurant. The wings were just normal deep fried chicken with some Thai sweet spicy sauce drizzled. I was expecting something a little more interesting I guess - maybe spoiled by the recent crop of modern Thai places springing up. I didn't like that their Yelp listing had a lot of staged photos from the owner. It's hard to see what the food actually looks like, and only widens the gap between expectation and what you really get.

Got delivery from Wan Waan Aka Charm's today at work. Exceeded my expectations for sure! The Pineapple Fried Rice was fragrant and perfectly spiced. And the Pad Thai was delicious too - it's prepared different from what I'm used to but didn't disappoint. Veggie spring rolls were great too. I'm happy they have quiet a few vegetarian options! The food arrived in black round containers and at first it seemed like not a lot but truly it was a big portion. Everything was filled to the brim :) I love this place for take out.

The atmosphere of the restaurant is very good . I like the service and the food. The price is a bit pricey but this is the average Manhattan restaurant price. I definitely recommend people to come here. I had a tom yum noodle with shrimp. It was very yummy and spicy.

Great food and excellent service. We are Thai foodies, and the steamed vegetable dumplings were great. The only reason they are not getting a 5 star rating is that the prices in most restaurants in the NYC Chelsea neighborhood have just gotten out of hand in some areas. As noted, we love their food and service, and their main dish pricing was not bad, but a small bowl of Thai soup for $12 that used to cost $5 before COVID is just a bit too much.

Solid Thai food at Wan Waan. Had the Red Curry with chicken and it was impressed with the quality it's of chicken and large chunks of carrots to go along with the peppers and bamboo shoots. Lychee Iced Tea was also good, but I would have preferred a beer had they offered alcohol. We'll definitely be back.

Nice Thai place in Chelsea, closer to 3.5 but rounding up. We stopped by for dinner and it was totally empty. It feels pretty spacious inside with plenty of separation between tables. I had the salmon green curry fried rice, which came as a much bigger portion than I expected. I loved the rice part, but despite the warning on the menu I didn't think this was spicy at all. The salmon was over cooked and dry, but it was a bit better after I added a lot of extra hot sauce. The vegetables on the side were nice but with no flavor. It would have been nice if there were extra curry or sauce on the side for them.

- Food came out fast - The Thai iced tea was good - Good portion of pad see ew but they add way too much pepper - The black pepper was the main taste of the dish and over powered everything else

Ordered pad Thai. Came promptly, tasted fine then got sick 1/2 hour later. Stomach cramps and threw up.

First of all, the chicken satay was exquisite. The pairing with the peanut sauce really took it over the edge and reminded me of authentic Surinamese chicken satay. The pad Thai was pretty solid as well, it could've been a bit saucier however I asked them for more sauce and they accounted accordingly. One of my friends got a basil fried rice with beef which was a bit on the dryer side, yet the taste was there. Overall I would rate this experience a sold 4 stars. The service was good as well.

Really unauthentic from the food to the ambience. A complete let down that tries to tread the line between a hip bar and that of a trendy restaurant while gloriously butchering both. The decor is confusing and irrelevant to anything Thai. Food - major miss. The Pork Mussaman came in as rubbery chicken. Had to send it back. Which finally came back in a haste. Service - the servers were kind and accommodating.

Pros: - they have a good selection of happy hour items and drinks - the place is good for dates Cons: - didn't give happy hour pricing ($8) for the papaya salad (make sure to check your receipt if you order happy hour). We didn't notice until afterward - the food was mild. Nothing outstanding. The salad was fresh but not enough flavor 2/5 - Tom yum goong soup was nothing like the picture on Yelp. It was okay. 2/5

I went with a group of 5 people dining in on a Friday evening around 5:30pm. We were the only group there at the time, but a few people came in later on. I personally ordered the chicken pad see ew and Thai iced tea for myself. And we shared the small plates; papaya salad and crispy tofu salad together. But excluded peanuts in those since someone in our group was allergic to them. The service was decent, they refill water a few times and asked could they remove the finished plates when we were done. They automatic charge a 20% gratuity for a party of 5 or more. I think price wise, I'll give it a 3 stars because there are other Thai places with similar food at a lower cost. The place seems to cost more due to the interior decorations and look instagramable. Here's what I think about the food: - Thai iced tea: tasty and sweet black tea with condensed milk. I am personally a sweet tooth person so I can withstand the sweetness taste - Chicken Pad See Ew: soy saucy based with Chinese broccoli is one of my favorite Thai dish. They plated in a large white plate, which made it look like it's a big portion, but really isn't. But is enough for one person to devour. I think $18 the price cost too much for it. - Som Tum (Papaya Salad): this was sweet, sour, and a little spicy. It was quite a refreshing appetizer. - Crispy Tofu Salad: this came with a peanut sauce on the side and the tofu was tasty and fluffy. I didn't ate much from this. - Hot Sake: I took a sip from it and it was warm and concentrated. It was a okay $8 drink happy hour deal

Yummy yummy Thai food, cheap drinks and fast service! We stumbled upon charm's by accident and we're so happy we did. The drinks are only $10 and they are STRONG. we got gyoza and dumpling appetizers and they were very tasty. For our entrees we shared pad see ew, garlic pork and chicken thai fried rice. Each dish was incredibly flavorful. So tasty that nobody at the table was speaking because we were all too busy eating! On top of everything, the bill was very reasonable. It was a breath of fresh air to have a decently priced, tasty meal in New York.

Came here for a weekday lunch special. The place is nice and clean and offers indoor seating. We ordered three noodle dishes - two Pad Kee Maos and a Pad Thai - each comes with appetizers. The noodles are nice and fresh, made fresh. Very tasty. 3 lunch specials with tip was $50. Will definitely be coming back here again and try other dishes.

Cute place in Chelsea with indoor and outdoor seating. We sat outside but beware, the sun is pretty brutal during the evening. My wife and I split the chicken drunken noodles (pad kee mao), happy hour fries and happy hour wings. Every was delicious. The wings were huge, 4 pieces. It was basically like fried chicken with a chili sauce. Fries could have used a little more flavor but they had an amazing, spicy dipping sauce. Would definitely come again.

The friendly staff, the inexpensive variety of mixed drinks, the spicy and sweet authentic thai dishes is what has kept me coming back here almost every Saturday for the past 3 years. Do yourself a favor; if you wanna impress a group of friends with a real cozy and friendly neighborhood eatery, bring them here and tell Alvin that DWhit sent you.

After finding my wedding dress!!!!!!!! My sister, best friend, and mom came here to eat. It's a nice and small spot, with eye catching art work and designs. It was empty when we went in, but the host was warm and inviting and we were able to order quickly. The food was delicious, the drinks (non-alcoholic) were really tasty, and things just flowed. We had a great time and would definitely come back. People started coming in while we were in there so it can get busy.

Came here by chance, we were actually trying to go to the Mexican restaurant next door but it was too crowded. We came here on a Friday before 8 and they still had a happy hour going on. My friend and I got a lychee mojito which tasted great! I liked their plate presentation, it was unique and different. We got the Charms kee mao, pad kee mao, and panang curry with tofu. The charms kee mao surprisingly tasted different than the pad kee mao and I liked the texture of the lo mein noodles for a change from the typical flat wide rice noodles. The panang curry had a little too strong of coconut flavor for us, so we would probably not get that again.

Good service at every visit. I appreciate being treated with respect and lots of attention. I had a chicken and broccoli dish which was wonderful, and couldn't finish it for the size of the portion. I am returning tonight because it's good! QUIET place to sit and enjoy. I think my drinks made the bill climb up a bit but that's a good thing too because I wasn't rushed. Recommend for Thai style good food in Chelsea!

I ordered takeout from Charms, and they had my meal ready really quickly. I got the chicken pad thai, which I thought had generous portions. As for taste, I thought the pad thai and chicken were more dry than I would have liked.

A solid, dependable thai food restaurant in the heart of Chelsea. The menu is quite expansive, not expensive and offers plenty of vegetarian food options for those who aren't true meat lovers. For example, I ordered fried tofu with peanut sauce (over broccoli) plus an order of kee mao pak (wide fried rice noodle). The ambiance is simple and unassuming. A bar offers several televisions and the seats were pretty much all full during our meal. The waitresses did their best to serve us with speed and allowed us to switch tables as we awaited additional people to join us. The surrounding area is filled with neighborhood spots but this one seemed to deliver high quality food at an affordable price. Would certainly return here again.

This place was sooooo good, the masaman curry was excellent and vegetarian friendly, huge portion sizes for the prices and drinks were strong as well

Good place, portions are good size, prices correctly. Their iced tea comes in a jar which is nice. Interior is pretty standard so maybe can improve on that.

My boyfriend and I went for lunch and got their lunch time special which is an appetizer and entree for about 16-18$ depending on your meat. My boyfriend got the chicken pad thai, and he scraped the plate clean. I got the panang curry and it was delicious. The service was also great and friendly and the music was a vibe. Definitely recommend

Charm is a perfect name for this place it was charming and the food was great. Had a late afternoon lunch so the place only had a few patrons eating. Would definitely go here again if in the area.

Came here for dinner with a party of 9, and I had high hopes. The place itself is cute, but it's really small. We got lucky that we were there on a Tuesday night, and the restaurant didn't fill up at all. There were maybe 3 other tables being served, so it wasn't busy. With that being said, this 1.5 hour dinner ended up being ~3.5 hours long, and not because we wanted it to. The server was nice, but incredibly slow. I couldn't tell why it was taking so long when there were very few tables dining in. Even our drinks took forever - it took a solid 10 minutes for me to get my first drink (pom mojito which was yummy) and 8 minutes for someone else to get the same. When we ordered apps, we were left with empty plates for a solid 55 minutes. We knew what we wanted to eat, but he never came to us! And when we tried calling him over, it was a at a time when he was actually busy, but then became rude for us just asking for his attention. We weren't a rowdy group - it was me with 4 married couples. We just wanted dinner so we could go bowling after. Essentially it took forever to order, and also forever to get our food. And we all got our food at different points in a 20 minute window which is fine - but our fish and chicken was out before vegetables in a sauce? so that was really confusing and very irritating. Asking for the check also took a long time but eventually we were able to pay and leave. I probably wouldn't come back because it's mediocre thai food - but if you're adamant on trying this place, the calamari was good, and the 3 flavor fish was good but only 2 people could share it. (I thought the fish was a little complicated to eat)

Working in Chelsea I've walked by this restaurant so many times and finally decided to grab lunch from here. I ordered the pad Thai and spring rolls for lunch. I know that sounds basic but one of my favorite neighborhood Thai restaurant closed a few months ago and I'm looking for a replacement and I think this is it! They have lunch specials that range from $9.99 to $12.99. The standard entree prices go from $20-35. The entree portions are large enough to share. The noodles were thin. The chicken was plentiful and the spring rolls were so fresh! Service is quick and the staff is friendly. I'll have to go back and try some more menu items but for right now I think this will be my lunch time go-to Thai restaurant.

I was looking for a not too busy and well priced Thai restaurant on a Sunday night and this fit the bill. It has a fun and cozy theme going which fluctuated from the front to back end where you could find the larger tables. They have a full bar although I didnt partake. I ordered the Pad kee mao and it was good although not spicy at all as advertised. Overall the food was good and the place was cozy. The servers were decent but they only checked on my group of for once for the whole time we were there. Otherwise its a cool spot for a casual bite.

Pretty great thai place in the area!! They have happy hour until 8 which means cheaper drinks & $7 apps We tried: - basil fried rice 9/10: was very good, your standard basil fried rice. A tad spicy which was exactly how i like it! The pork we included was also nice and tender too - pad kee mao 9/10: also really good (got beef with this one). Noodles were well cooked and there was an ample amount of veggies and sauce. Slightly spicy as well - massaman curry 9/10 (forgot to take a picture..): massaman is my favorite curry and im glad they had it! The portion is quite generous (rice portion is just adequate) and i particulary appreciated the crispy onions - fried calamari 8/10: nothing too special here, just your average calamari. Not sure if its really "worth" $7 esp in the sense that that is supposed to be A Deal so i'd probably lean towards not getting that again ^ was more than enough for three people Excited to come back and try their other dishes i eyed while choosing One qualm id have is the service -- i generally dont notice or care much about service (hence why its at the bottom of the review) but we literally had to wave people down to get anything and had to ask for water refills (which i think is the bare minimum you can do). Additionally it had seemed that they forgot about our fried calamari order and since it didn't seem like it was going to come out long after our mains came out, we had to flag someone down and inquire about it. It wasn't really all that busy today either, which wouldve made the situation more understandable.

It was by chance that we stumbled here on a Friday night for dinner as our dinner plans at another BYOB place did not pan out. So we were quickly googling other BYOB places around the area and found this! There was a 15 dollar corkage fee. The interior was very interestingly decorated. We shared the appetizers and everything was as expected/good except for the crab rangoons that were somewhat subpar. For the entrees, we split the pad see ew, the khao soi and the red curry. They were all solid. I would come back if I were in the area, but I don't find myself going out of my way for it as there are so many great Thai places in the City.

Visited for a quick refreshment spot in the neighborhood. This is a casual dining place, a bit of pop music and cool colors around. Service was prompt. I arrived at 9:30 pm and mentioned that I only wanted the drinks menu. Sure, kinda odd. But I was thirsty and curious about the area. I ordered the Clausthaler non-alcoholic beer (first time and last, not my favorite drink type). The gentleman poured it in a chilled glass, good start. But then, too foamy. At the time of checkout, it showed a bill of $7, instead of $5 I read when I ordered. The dollar value isn't the point. But lying to its customer is bad practice. It isn't specified on the menu that prices were valid until 8pm only. I picked up the menu and showed proof that it was $5 so he could charge me correctly after all. Always check your bill ! Now, not only I was lied about the bill, I drank a beverage I didn't like, in a way that wasn't fit, also never got a glass of water, so I left still thirsty. Ugh.

*This review is based on delivery only* I was craving fried- what's new? I did some digging on Seamless and came across this gem which had an Appetizer combo with all of the things I needed! The food came on time and was still hot when it arrived. It came with crab rangoons, root vegetable spring rolls, chicken and shrimp dumplings AND curry puffs. WOAH! The curry puff ended up being my favorite, super flavorful, flaky and light. To be honest everything was good. I know this is meant for more then one person ( lots of fried food lol) but it was delicious for a super cheat day. I also saved some for the next day, good price for how much you get! Also, THEY BROUGHT SO MANY SAUCES. Each item came with its own sauce. I was a happy camper. I look forward to trying some of their other dishes soon! 4.2/5

Only took one photo before I devoured our two other dishes. This new Thai spot is such a gem. Already so excited to come back and try everything. I had a cold so I got the tom Ka soup - a comforting coconut milk soup with chicken and mushrooms, cilantro and scallions. So creamy and restorative. We also got the green curry noodle soup; I'm not even a fan of curry but the blew my mind with its intense flavors and heat. We also got the kale with ginger and garlic on the side. So tasty. Also ordered delivery and got the pineapple fried rice and the pumpkin custard with sticky rice - both so sumptuous and delicious. The sticky rice is green and sweet and sticky, while the custard is so creamy. Highly recommend all. 5 Stars!

This place is really intimate and laid back. Service is great. I like that the doors open up on a day such as this. The staff is nice and very hospitable. They have really good lunch deals during the work week. The atmosphere is really chill for dates and to just hangout with friends just to catch up. The music is good. Overall prices are reasonable despite its swanky decor. I dig it. Please note, a considerable portion of this rating is based on atmosphere, service, and price. I got take out that I picked up myself. The food is fresh.. but flavor is ... ok. I'm not complaining... but I'm not raving either.

I recently came here for dinner. Friendly, helpful servers, full bar, and nice options for eating. Let me tell you a little tidbit that happened while I was there. I was seated at 7:54 PM. As I sat down, the host handed me a menu, and kindly said, "We have happy hour until 8 pm, so please let me know if you'd like anything to drink or an appetizer soon." I started out with a feeling that, they are looking out for the customer. And that is a good way to start. Service from that point on stayed consistent: replenished water, and when I ordered curry, they wanted to clarify about spiciness level. Again, keeping the customer in mind. the food was lovely, and delicious. I had the chicken satay and massaman curry with rice. Delicious. You've got to love a place that has happy hour until 8 pm. For the guy or gal working late, you can still get snacks and/or a drink on the cheap.

This is one of my favorite places to order lunch from their massaman curry with chicken is delicious and always consistent. Its the perfect amount of heat that keep everything balanced that creamy broth sticks to the chicken with each bite.
