Please explain to me how your entire brand is enjoying the outdoors but you have traps to kill bees that are a huge reason why the outdoors are such a beautiful place to begin with. It’s so counter to the message you are seemingly trying to send that it’s baffling to me how you would think that is a good idea. One of your workers to me it was for carpenter bees? Your building is almost made entirely of brick and both of the traps I saw have a dozen dead bumble bees and wasps, those are bee kill boxes that you obviously have no intention of releasing and shouldn’t even be up in the first place. Do better, and wander on to another store that stands for what they believe in.
Edit/Response to the owner: I'm a bit concerned at how unaware you are at how effective and important carpenter bees are as pollinators, they aren't surviving on the very little wood in your mostly non-wood building, they live off nectar like a bumble bee and spread pollen just like other bees do. Also I don't recall seeing a wooden roof nor do I see any evidence of that on google maps, and I do find it strange that the outdoor store is quite literally the only store in the entire downtown area that has these kill traps up. I might also mention that these traps are also catching other bees, wasps, and I'm sure many other beneficial flying creatures. I stood around for a few minutes and even in that short time I saw a wasp become trapped with the 30 or so other bees you have slowly dying, and yes dying, and many of them were already dead. Look for a different solution and educate yourself on the outdoors please, thank you and do better.
A further edit: So upon looking at pictures from other establishments near you that have a view of your roof I am glad to inform you that your roof is not wood as you previously thought, just thought you should know, thank you for your time, and as stated in my original review, wander on somewhere else if you are looking for an honest outdoors store.
