"As college students will attest, cereal is a perfectly acceptable meal any time of day. Wanna Spoon in 12 South caters to that ethos with over 20 different types of cereal; a variety of toppings like cookie dough bites, crushed Oreos, and fresh sliced fruits; and several milk options from morning to night, plus decadent drinks like a Fruity Pebbles cereal milk latte. The backyard area offers picnic tables, cornhole boards, couches, and firepits for s’mores." - Jackie Gutierrez-Jones

Over all was super cute and fun. My daughter who is a major cereal fan absolutely loved it. The only issue I had was the service we received. It was our first time there so I was trying to figure out what we wanted and wanted to try etc. the guy at the register acted like we was a bother to be there and rolled his eyes pretty much the entire time. Other than that really cute and fun idea!

Google
WONDERFUL nostalgic experience. Photo worth spot for sure. Great cereal selection. Good milkshakes with option to add alcohol. Excellent service. Aiden and Sherman were perfect examples of how all employees should be. Kind, offer

Google
Fun spot for something sweet. Great for taking a minute to sit down and hang out. They also have a bunch of fun stuff for kids including corn hole, connect four, putt putt, and a "petting zoo" My wife and I both got shakes and they were great! Pretty good bang for your buck considering a large shake is $8

Google
What an amazing place for kids AND kids at heart. Love the mural + spoon for classic Nashville photo gems. Don’t forget to check out the cereal mural inside too! A Must See spot in 12South for any tourist OR local looking to do something fun. The front is especially chill with chairs and fire pits! The staff are super friendly, professional and kind. After multiple visits, very impressed by how Wanna Spoon is always super clean. Highly recommend the Lavender coffee! Also, Kira and her crew offer great pop-up/small business vendor support too! Nashville’s lucky to have Wanna Spoon on 12South!

Google
We had such a great time here I had to buy a t shirt! It is such a cute place, with lots of photo ops, the ice cream was SOO good! I really considered getting a second cup!! I highly recommend stopping here!!

Google
I was bummed because as soon as my oldest sat down, his ice cream cone spilled - (he was crying bad) some on the floor and some on the table. I was shocked the staff did not offer to help and/or get him another one to make up for it mostly being gone and not much left. Especially after we paid so much for ice cream! Because of this, I won't return. But all in all - a fun place, The back area was tons of fun. Very clean facilities.

Google
The most adorable little shop, and a great photo op! Have only had their coffee but I really enjoyed it ! The outside has a cozy firepit and they sell smoers kits inside :) Definitely check it out if you are in the area!

Google
This place was SO much fun! They have coffee, cereal and ice cream! Come in by for a meal, caffeine and dessert! Then hang out in the back where you can play lawn games! I ordered the cereal milk latte!

Yelp
Wanna Spoon is a super cute cereal bar. There's cute photo opps, the backyard is a vibe with little games the front has seats with a fire pit, there's a fire pit in the back as well. The ice cream was sooo good. I mixed Lucky charms & crunch berries & added the Lucky Charms marshmallows on top.

Alex E.

Yelp
I tried this twice during my stay in Nashville. I would say if you like cereal it is a must! The shop is in what once was a house and the vibe is so colorful and fun. The gentleman that was there in the mornings I went was somewhat rude and apparently unenthused to be working there. However, the ice cream and cereal combo is so good any time of day! I recommend combining Fruity Pebbles and Lucky Charms with vanilla ice cream and having it topped with Lucky Charms marshmallows.

Kendall R.

Yelp
This place was about what I expected. The space is actually huge which is nice and they have an amazing back patio. If you have a big group in need of dessert this place would be great. The ice cream itself is good, but I didn't think it was special. Even with the Reese's puffs mixed in! I couldn't taste the cereal at all.

Christina B.

Yelp
Wanna Spoon has much more than plain cereal to offer! In a town with some lackluster soft serve options (besides Fryce Cream which is down the road, go check them out too!), being able to craft my own decadent soft serve flavor was a real treat. I chose fruity pebbles ice cream with lucky charms marshmallows as a topping, which is just one of dozens of combinations you could try! The inside is very aesthetically pleasingly, with neon signs sure to brighten the Instagram feed. Next time I'm grabbing a milkshake!

Carolina P.

Yelp
HOLY MACARONI. For those of you who are familiar with my palette, you know that ice cream is eternally #1. So, when my dear friend Maya informed me that she had uncovered a novel ice cream joint in Nashville, my heart (and tummy) jumped at the opportunity. The concept of Wanna Spoon is scrumptious, and the product is even more so! I ordered chocolate ice cream, blended with Cinnamon Toast Crunch & Lucky Charms and topped with Oreos. The texture and the flavors coalesced in a perfect miracle only thought to be fathomable in the deepest depths of our foodie imaginations. The vibes... let's chat about it. A lovely fireplace (and available s'mores kits) lined the house-like entryway, and I genuinely felt like I was walking into my home. Even though we arrived just before closing, the service was incredible, offering patience and advice to an indecisive orderer like myself. RUN, don't walk to Wanna Spoon. This place is a land of happiness and yumminess and all things JOY!!!

Jacey H.

Yelp
Loved it, and super fun. I'm glad this is where we went for dessert. We all mostly got milkshakes and they were amazing. This place is super trendy and has a lot of photo opportunities. We loved the fire pits out front, and the workers were super nice.

Bailey P.

Yelp
A delicious tourist trap! This place is perfect for foodies - there are so many cute picture spots and so many fun creations to photograph. The menu has everything from cereals and coffees to ice creams and milkshakes. I couldn't decide what to order so I asked the cashier what the most popular item was and went with it - the Cookie Monster ice cream swirl. It was great (but expensive).

Taylor R.

Yelp
I think this place gets hype for the instagrammable content that can be made in the store. The treats are great though, I had a cereal milk milkshake and it was delicious. I do think its decor is what makes people want to visit. The photo ops inside and outside are cute.

Erin P.

Yelp
Such a fun atmosphere, they have a lot of outdoor seating. There are options for cereal or desserts (ice cream and milkshakes), there are not many true breakfast options. The store was busy and moved a little slow, and the prices are high. But the Elvis was tasty.

Alisha L.

Yelp
Atmosphere/decor was cool and staff was friendly. Service was quick, but place was empty. Very disappointed in my experience. Ordered a chocolate ice cream swirl with Reese's puffs and Oreo o's and chocolate sprinkles. They blend/mix it up so much that the cereal was so fine and indistinguishable from the soft serve. Ice cream flavor was good but I basically got plain chocolate with sprinkles for $7. Definitely over priced. My friend liked her dairy free vanilla but had the same issue with cereal being blended too much. Vibe is cool if you want a nice Instagram post, but I won't return for any ice cream.

Anastasia K.

Yelp
Such a cute little shop with so many things to see! Came in and the shop had many photo opportunities to take pics. Bought some cute merch and ended up buying a passion on 12th drink. Very refreshing and light! The staff were friendly and the space was welcoming. A lovely place to hang out or get something sweet to eat. It is a little pricey, but overall a great spot to visit.

Terry V.

Yelp
I have been wanting to try the cereal bar and decided to go with the ice cream swirl. The specialty swirls are only made with vanilla. I chose Fruity Pebbles and Captain Crunch Berries. Mine was blended well and I could taste the cereal in every bite. Since there was a rainstorm the night I went, I stuck around after finishing my ice cream and checked out all the merch and stickers they had for sale. If cereal is not your thing, you can also grab coffee, tea, or other drinks as well. There are a few cute photo ops inside. I wasn't able to check out the back due to the storm. They also have fire pits where you can order a smores kit! The staff were nice and kindly answered any questions I had since it was my first time. There wasn't too much of a wait which I liked.

Liann A.

Yelp
Located in part of Nashville in this cute little area is this dessert spot that does yogurt/ice cream with cereal, you can choose your cereal and have it blended or added in. My friend got a small one with chocolate and Cap'n Crunch and I got I think the vanilla with Cinnamon Toast Crunch. I thought it was blended well so you can get pieces in every bite. It was a nice portion and great for a super hot day like when we went in June. There's some street parking and outdoor seating. The workers were friendly and service was quick. It can get loud inside when the blender is grinding the cereal but it mixes in well.

Melissa M.

Yelp
What a cool place and concept! You choose a cereal, and toppings! Fruit, candy, marshmallows???!! Not in the mood for cereal and milk, you can order ice cream instead! They have a selection of hot and cold beverages as well! Way to go Wanna Spoon! Be sure to get your photo op!! Oh, and check out the back patio! Or sit at the fire pit in the front.

Kellyo O.

Yelp
Awesome concept and poor execution. Went in for a treat last night but the person behind the counter ter kept messing up an order and throwing the whole plastic bowl with the cereal mix in it into the garbage! What a waste!! I'm not sure if she was high or what and if I ran the place I would be so upset! She threw 4 bowls away and was working on the 5th when I decided that it wasn't going to happen for me and turned around and left. Walked right down to Jenni's ice cream and had an amazing treat!

Julia B.

Yelp
Such a cool atmosphere!! If you're looking for somewhere to relax on a nice day with some friends or your loved one/loved ones, this is a great option. I would say the best part about this place is the outdoor seating and activity options. There are fire pits with seating in the front and back of the business. They also have cornhole and other little games to do in the back grassy area. The prices are very very high but it is a very unique experience that everyone should try at least once. I would say that this is a great idea for you if you are looking for somewhere to hang out for a while, not just for the cereal. All in all, super creative idea and fun place to try!

Marie B.

Yelp
Stopped by here for some ice cream on a hot day. When I ordered I didn't realize the cereal would be mixed into the ice cream. I ordered the small size of strawberry ice cream with Froot Loops mixed in. The ice cream itself was really delicious and I liked how the cereal texture changed. On the day we visited there was a birthday party taking up pretty much all of the interior and it was raining outside so we ended up just standing on the porch. Definitely not ideal and that was the main downside. I will also say the portion of the small ice cream is pretty small for the price so I would probably get the next size up since it's probably not much more expensive.

Jasmine C.

Yelp
This place was a major disappointment! I just knew we were going to walk in to a unique spot with a big bar of various cereals for you to self serve... $7-8 for a bowl of cereal just seems outrageous to me. I didn't really care to pay that for 1 bowl of cereal, so we opted for a "cereal milk latte." This latte was definitely hyped up...major let down. When you think of cereal milk; especially Cinnamon Toast Crunch cereal milk....sweet with the lingering bits of cereal floating around. Definitely not what we got. My taste buds must've been off because not a hint of Cinnamon Toast Crunch or sweetness in any sips taken. As soon as we got to the car this latte was poured out! Definitely a waste of money. I can't really say that I'll be back. Milk options: almond, oat, whole, and 1%. If you have any other preferences on milk, bring ya own! The service here was great, i just felt mislead by the description given about the cereal milk latte. I will say that the cereal wall and other decor here is rather cute.

Mike W.

Yelp
Dirty place... literally garbage on the floor and every table was dirty and literally no one was there except us. Thinking of a Bathroom break ... think again as in go somewhere else. Bathroom smelled of urine! No paper towels either! We've visited once a year ... this year removed this location for or places to visit in Nashville.

Hannah P.

Yelp
Fantastic local ice cream joint! You can pair any ice cream with any cereal. It is nostalgic and delicious. The shop itself is decorated in bright colors and murals. There is also an area in the back with picnic tables, animal statues, couches and fire pits to mimic a farm chic look. There were several backgrounds good for photos and Instagram pictures. The service is on the slower side, as it appears there is only one machine to mix the ice cream and cereal together. It was OK for our group of 4 but I can see this being an issue for very large groups.

TLeah E.

Yelp
I really like their tops on their coffee cups because they hold in the heat better than other cups. I ordered a vanilla with cinnamon, toast, crunch, strawberries, and honey and it's a very light type of ice cream and it goes really well together Honestly I didn't know what I wanted so I had them help me pick it out they really good. I really like the spoon it changes colors due to the ice cream being cold and reminds me of I think they were sonic. Spoons are used to change colors when we were kids do you know the 90s kids

Nicole M.

Yelp
Nashville Must Visit. @wannaspooncerealbar it was so nostalgic and delicious. They have cereal bowls you can mix any kind of cereal, they also have milk shakes and ice cream swirls that you could mix your cereal in. Will definitely come back

Meahgan R.

Yelp
I loved the cereal milk latte, it had a great coffee taste and the sweetness was not overpowering.

Jessica S.

Yelp
Clean, new, and recently open. An ice cream shop feels just like cereal instead. You can pick your favorite cereal and add toppings, make a shake with cereal and toppings, or get ice cream with some cereal mixed in. The cute photo opts for the family was fun. And the theme is on point for cereal. Ample seating indoors and outside in front and behind the store. There's even a fun surprise out back.

Dana G.

Yelp
I went to Wanna Spoon last Sunday morning on a double date. We got there a little after 10 and the line was already long. We waited around 30 minutes, which felt like a long time to wait for cereal. The line passes a really cute photo op, so expect to get bumped into a lot by people taking photos. When I ordered, I learned that they were out of milk. The options presented were half & half, almond, or oat milk. I wasn't made aware of the additional cost and was upcharged $1.75 for selecting oat milk. (My boyfriend opted for the free half & half, and after seeing how little he was given, I was grateful to have paid the two extra dollars.) I was surprised by how long it took to receive our cereal. I ordered a latte and received it much faster than my cereal. We sat outside to enjoy our cereal and the atmosphere was wonderful. There's plenty of seating and it's well spaced out. My coffee was delicious and surprisingly reasonably priced. If I return, I'll skip the cereal and stick with a latte next time.

Jacquelyn R.

Yelp
So stinkin' cute!! LOVED the selfie wall, all the combination options, and fast service! Don't skip out on visiting the backyard! Lots of different seating options, yard games, and a fantastic mural!!

Mike H.

Yelp
Wanna Spoon is a cute new breakfast spot in 12 South right across the street from the legendary 5 Daughters Bakery. Also located in a old house this custom cereal house was cozy inside but plenty of outdoor space in front as well as in the back. Lots of Instagramable picture spots! Plenty of street parking in front on the street. The cereal itself was very good topped with cookie dough bites and fresh raspberries (per my choosing). The coffee was also good. Cons: overall pricey and they were out of regular whole milk. Instead of upgrading us for free they charged us the upgrade price for the only milk option they had left. Enhancement ideas: the line was long and based on the menu and topping options they could easily load up 3-4 iPads and have members click through and order there much more efficiently. Then let all the employees help build the bowls and coffees instead of also taking orders. 2nd they really need to add peanut-butter as a topping option. It's delicious on cereal!

Rebecca M.

Yelp
Dog friendly and super fast service! I was in and out in under 20 mins! My dog loved it too!!

Vanessa L.

Yelp
I can see the attraction to this place. I mean...who doesn't love a bowl of cereal. While it is pricey, my kids enjoyed it and I wasn't stuck with 3 boxes of cereal that would go stale. (They loved all the added topping options such as sprinkles) They have fun picture opportunities and it's a fun place to bring out of town guests while walking 12 south. The back is a great place for kids to eat cereal and be able to wander and have fun. Service was a little slow for pouring a bowl of cereal. I did appreciate all the different milk alternatives offered.

Zoraida K.

Yelp
It is exactly as advertised. Clean, new, pretty. Good coffee, good ice-cream and great milkshakes! Great outdoor space to hang out with friends (human or canine) too! Looks like they are firepits for when it gets colder. Nice! We will be back.

Jeremy C.

Yelp
Although it's just a simple coffee and cereal bar/cafe, it's still super fun and a great place to hang out and take plenty of pics for the Instagram. I got a small bowl of fruity pebbles with strawberries as my topping and the cereal milk latte. Again, it's just the regular cereal and some toppings, so it's nothing upgraded or incredibly special, but it's definitely a great place to get breakfast in the morning or even breakfast for dinner. There's also a back patio filled with benches and even fake grass turf for your dog to hang out and play as well! Parking is a bear of course since it's 12 South but definitely worth the visit

Kelsey E.

Yelp
Not busy at all on a Thursday night. We ordered a Fruity Pebbles milkshake and a Honey Nut Cheerios milkshake. They were good, but could have been thicker. I can't say I've been to too many cereal bars in my life so I appreciated how clear the menu was in listing the different options and the steps to order each item. I also appreciated the attention to detail from the ambiance/decor all the way down to multiple straw sizes.

Logan B.

Yelp
This is a really fun stop for anyone visiting Nashville! It's a quick 8 minute drive from Broadway and in a fun neighborhood! The people are really nice and patient and willing to share ideas about what to mix!

Vernice S.

Yelp
Stumbled upon this unique place while visiting another pastry shop. I love the whole concept of cereal by itself or as an ice cream topping. The official grand opening is later this month & I am sure they will do great.

Tori V.

Yelp
Wanna spoon is relatively new to 12 South. It's a good edition as a kid friendly spot. They have ice cream, coffee, and cereal! There is a front patio and a back patio area with plenty of seating. The times we have gone it has been quick. It's walk up service so you can be in and out. Would definitely recommend as a place to go if you are visiting with kiddos.

Lara S.

Yelp
I thought this place was okay overall. The best part about it is that the location is really cute. It has outdoor seating in the front and a cute set up in the backyard with corn hole. However, the wait for the ice cream was pretty long and it was definitely overpriced. The ice cream itself wasn't bad, but it wasn't worth the almost $8. I would rather have gone somewhere else.

Zach S.

Yelp
They always say, cereal tastes better at night-- After a long day in downtown nashville, we figured the best way to end our night would be with a bowl of cereal at Wanna Spoon Cereal Bar. Upon arrival, there are colorful neon lights and a clean facade to welcome all guests. The restaurant is new, clean, and airy inside. Since it was our first time, the cashier gave us a rundown on their menu and their various options. They carry any kind of cereal and milk you could imagine. From ice cream to candy to fruit, they also offer a ride array of toppings. There is plenty of indoor and outdoor seating and plenty of colorful photo-ops. This location is aesthetically funky and fun for all. The prices are pretty high for what you're getting, but you are paying for the experience and atmosphere. Overall, the trendy decor, friendly staff, and large variety make this place a great spot for families and friends.

Jill S.

Yelp
I love the idea of the place. Super cool vibe and who doesn't like cereal and cereal ice cream. My only complaint was that we waited In line for over 30mins and when we got to the counter we were told they were out of whole milk. Your options were Almond or Oak milk. We'll they charge $.75 or $1.75 extra for that milk. We'll it's not our fault they ran out of whole milk and they continued to charge us for the Oak Milk. I wouldn't have minded the $.75 charge but to charge me bc they were out of whole milk which is included in the price seems a lot much to me.

Nicolette T.

Yelp
I was able to check out this cool new spot just after opening. It is so cute and picturesque inside, very instagrammable. Just as it sounds, they serve up cereal. They have a plethora of cereal options, some childhood classics. There are different toppings to add a little extra something. It was so fun, definitely pricey so it's an occasional treat. It's a good social setting to have a casual hangout with friends and family, very kid friendly. I would recommend coming. Early, as it only gets busier during the day.

Kyle W.

Yelp
You can tell a lot of love went into this place. When I lived in 12 South, I walked by this building every day. It's amazing to see the transformation into a new spot where the neighborhood can make new memories! I love the attention to detail... everywhere you look, there's something that catches your eye! I got an iced Americano... perfect! I also ordered a lucky charms and fruity pebbles milkshake topped with banana... so delicious! The staff was warm and friendly. The owner is one of the most lovable people you'll ever meet! I love this place! It's a wonderful addition to 12 South!

Dana N.

Yelp
Loved it! My daughter said she gives it a 5/5 because it has the best variety of cereal and the service was really good. Cute spot with lots of great photo opportunities and outdoor seating too!

Alayah B.

Yelp
Such a cute place!! Would be absolutely amazing in the summer. Lots of options to mix and match, and adorable ambiance. They have coffee, ice cream and milkshakes. Loved this little stop

Haley M.

Yelp
Cute little spot for breakfast. They had many different options. Staff was friendly. Coffee was good! Only issue is parking. Be prepared to park a few blocks down due to how busy the area is.

Elsa L.

Yelp
Finally a place that serves a soft serve ice cream that is dairy free and the fact that I got to choose a mini chocolate chip cookie that was dairy free too was perfection!

Lizzie M.

Yelp
So many fun combinations to create! Great service and ambiance too, especially the fire pits outside!

Nashville Door Company D.

Yelp
My daughter is the biggest cereal fan and she jumped when she saw this unique place and we HAD to visit. The decor is ALL about spoons and cereal as is the food. I had a chai tea that was creamy good and my daughter enjoyed a bowl of Fruity Pebbles and got a comfy hoodie. Its not a place Id visit on a regular basis but for cereal fun, especially with kids, its a novel experience. And the girls at the counter were very friendly and welcoming.

Megan S.

Yelp
Going to this place was such a fun experience! I gave it 4 stars because the price point was a little steep, but other than that, the aesthetic & atmosphere was great. It's pet friendly :) The workers there have excellent customer service & helped make the experience better.

Eddy G.

Yelp
I recently ventured to Wanna Spoon Cereal Bar one misty morning. It was a quaint little establishment on 12 South. I can confirm that they did, in fact, have cereal. That's it, however. While I wasn't expecting a world class breakfast experience, I had expected there to be more to offer than a $7 bowl of brand name cereal. I had Apple Jacks with strawberries and coconut shavings and it tasted just like Apple Jacks if I added strawberries and coconut shavings. So pretty good overall. The next time I want to spend $7 on a single bowl instead of going to the store and getting a whole box of Apple Jacks, a carton of strawberries, and coconut shavings for the same price, I'll be elated to return.

A R.

Yelp
Ordered a honey coffee drink and it was so creamy and good, I'll be back! Thank you for the great service as well.

Amy P.

Yelp
What a weird idea but they have really good milkshakes! It's nice you can get a dairy free one and you get two cereal types to add in and a topping! The milkshake was good! It was thick and creamy and even the small size was plenty! I will say, cereal sort of has that like corn flake flavor, no matter the kind, and that definitely makes the milkshake taste like that, which was not my fav.
