Google
I’ve watched too many Warby Parker ads while watching love island to the point I came into the store. The shopping experience was just like the ads, I came in on 06/28 around 5:40 (not knowing they are closing soon) to try on the glasses I found online. The two ladies who helped me took the time to find the pairs of glasses and recommend which they would like to see me in. I had a great time, I was motivated to try something new without the pressure of purchasing. It feels great getting help from people who take the time to understand your needs. So excited to get my glasses!!

Anne Butler

Google
The service was outstanding -- I hate trying on glasses and the woman who assisted made it easy, helping me narrow the selection down to two pairs of glasses that look great on me. The price was significantly lower than other brick and mortar stores and the glasses will be delivered straight to my home. Final, the store is clean and uncluttered and a very short walk from the Metro.

Google
Very wonderful and talented staff! Appointment was amazing and took the time to answer all my questions. New to Warby Parker and I finally have a place that can service all my needs! (Glasses + Contacts)

Google
Website reflected that they had an open appt slot i scheduled an appt filled out ALL paper work online only for them to call me less than 24 hours later stating the appt wasn’t available. I moved my schedule around and all to accommodate the appointment. Very unprofessional

About 10 days ago, I arrived at the Shaw Warby Parker for my eye exam. I had lost or forgotten my insurance card, so Tiffany did some computer research to find coverage. Tiffany also has an eye for glasses, and helped me choose the perfect pair. Chevella, the exam technician (I don’t know the exact title), was kind, patient, and friendly, as we worked toward the exact vision prescription. Today, I picked up a new pair of progressive lenses I had ordered. Lynn adjusted them with the heat machine so they fit right on my face. I see better than I have in ages. And Lynn took the pic I’m posting today. Thanks to the great teamwork at Warby Parker Shaw location, I have a new pair of glasses I love and had a great in-store experience.

Google
The people there are AMAZING. Knina assisted me a time prior today’s visit and she was the main reason I came back. She wasn’t there today so I was fortunate to meet Denise, Alex and Lin, who were all also amazing! I am now a Warby a Parker believer shouts out to Shaw team!

Google
Had an excellent eye check-up via virtual doctor. Both virtual technician and eye doctor were great, attentive, and answered all my questions. No video quality delays and wait time between sections was much faster than in-person dr office visits (think 6 min wait max time). My in-person employee administering the tech was also excellent. Glasses selection was a feat and I created a monster of a mess but Lynn and Chloe were kind, patient, and helped me decide by process of elimination. They also made sure I used my insurance in the most efficient way possible for me to get the most coverage & quality lenses (which I wanted!). Overall fantastic service for a Thursday afternoon apt.

Google
Went to WP in Shaw DC to get my new glasses adjusted. The staff was awesome, thanks for the swag bag! Special thanks to Tiffany who adjusted both pairs of my glasses and shared a few laughs with me while I tried them on.

Bob K.

Yelp
The product is awesome, and the staff who helped with my insurance were great. The problem is the eye exam. They were half an hour late, and when I discovered that it would be an hour (I had taken time off of work to get this done) I told them I had to leave. Honestly don't think I would be writing this if she had even given me a "I apologize for the inconvenience" instead of a shrug. Great for all other services, but don't go here for an eye exam.

Yelp
The glasses are fine, but their delivery system works badly. Two days ago I received an email from them saying my glasses would be delivered the next day. Today I received an email saying my glasses had been delivered. But they have not been delivered! When I phoned the store, the person I spoke to said she was sorry, but "these things happen". So I am left with no glasses yet and the promise of them refilling the order in 7 business days.

Yelp
I was pleased with my experience today. Super happy to learn that Warby Parker has retail locations, because for a long time, I only thought this was a online only thang thang. The entrance to the store is on the corner of 9th and Florida. Pretty easy signage to spot from the road. Parking-it is what it is. The website indicates that they are limiting folks coming in and out of the stores due to the rona and that there may be a waiting period. Luckily, there wasn't any waiting list, as it was virtually empty outside of the staff. Upon entry there is someone that greets you at the door, and request that you sanitize your hands. You are given a section of the glasses wall to check out. Try on any glasses that you want, place them in the bin, and they will be sanitized before they are returned to the wall. The staff were so helpful and extremely patient with my grandma, which I absolutely loved. The only thing that I didn't dig was the measurement of the glasses with the phone. That was a wee bit cumbersome with her, because she doesn't really get how to work the phone. It was much more helpful when they simply got the measurements from her glasses. Other than that, it was a great experience, and I would definitely return.

Yelp
Hmmm it's really busy esp when the weather is good. I don't get why someone needs another 3-4 friends to go together into the shop while only one of them needs glasses. This Warby Park location stops assigning areas to different groups of customers and sometimes their staff can be so busy that they can't help you right away. I would still go for their quality glasses and quality service when the staff have time for you. But keep in mind if above and avoid peak hours to visit. The funny thing is that their staff mostly dress very stylish so it's hard to figure out who is working there and who's shopping when they are busy.
google avatar

Michaela N.

Yelp
Great staff, cool vibe! We came in as they were closing and they were all still very courtesy and helpful. Great COVID-19 safety precautions in place. You can try on glasses. They just go in a bin after for sanitization.

Yelp
Warby Parker does it right when it comes to picking up glasses. I came in looking for new frames and was greeted by a customer service rep who was very knowledgeable about all the frames inside the store. I wandered around until I found the particular pair that I just could t pass on. Getting new glasses is always an exciting time because it can add a new sense of style without having to do too much in the first place. I didn't even mind seeing the other employees engaging with one another, they were conducting themselves in a manner that made them feel more like companions or peers as opposed to employees. I ended up selecting these wide frame tortoise glasses with a transition feature. They will send them to me as soon as I upload my prescription and I couldn't be any more excited! I think I'll make this warby Parker my go to location from now on because so far they can do no wrong in my eyes!!!

Yelp
War y Parker ruined my vision! Warning: STAY AWAY FROM THIS PLACE UNLESS YOU WANT PRESCRIPTION PROGRESSIVE EYEGLASS MADE NOT ACCORDING TO YOUR PRESCRIPTION I am extremely upset I went to my ophthalmologist for my annual eye examination. The only complaint I had was I noticed I had to lift my glasses up to see out my progressive glasses. In fact, it was odd I could see better out my multifocal contacts wearing my 1.0x reading glasses. I was absolutely stunned to be told: 1) My prescription for my progressive glasses was incorrect (not what was given to me as per my examination last year) 2) The Pupillary Distance and Fitting Height were TOTALLY OFF/Wrong 3) My eye sight has gotten worst due to wearing incorrect prescription for almost a year. *Please note: I purchased two prescription and one pair of computer glasses to wear solely when I am on a computer I was suggested I reach out to Warby Parker to alert them of error in hopes they would immediately offer to correct, remake my glasses. Results: I was told no, too much time has passes, but Warby Parker is willing to give me $150 discount for each pair to remake Never mind, I will go back to Walmart Vision Center-they have never made an error in my almost 20 year experience with making glasses for me, including Progressive. Now I know why so many people told me to avoid this company!

Yelp
This review is specifically for Dr. Asha Vyas. I had an eye exam with Dr. Vyas today, and not only was she wonderfully personable (despite likely being at the end of long shift), but she was so communicative throughout the process! She walked me through the exam with more detail and care than I've ever received in an exam, and she took the time to answer questions regarding my prescription. As an adult eyeglass wearer, I've had plenty of eye exams, and of those all, my exam with Dr. Vyas was the best!

Yelp
I have had a pleasant experience in here on both occasions I have been (and am expecting one on my third when I pick up my glasses). As soon as you walk in, they are there to happily greet you and offer any assistance you might need. After an initial exchange, they only address you if you have a question or are ready to check out. They carry tablets around and seem to have a very organized system. When not interacting with you, they tend to talk to each other... not in an unprofessional manner, but in a way that reminds you that they're human and they don't need to be robots, especially if there is no one around :-). The glasses are neatly displayed all over the store, and when you are ready to check out, you are done in just a few minutes. The first time I went, my HSA card didn't work, and they waited patiently as I tried to figure out why. When i couldn't figure it out I said I would come back the next week, and they remembered when I returned! I look forward to my future interactions with these people and I appreciate their professionalism and efficiency.

Yelp
I love this location of WB. The employees are super helpful and I'm usually helped within 10 minutes if I stop in for a glasses adjustment. I have way, WAY too many pairs of glasses and sunglasses, mostly due to my WB addiction. If you consider glasses to be "jewelry for your face," this is the place to go and try on a bunch of stylish options. Also, WB cuts the middleman, so it's always going to be cheaper than other boutique glasses shops.

Carley P.

Yelp
Easy to get eyeglass and contacts prescriptions here. The ophthalmologists have been kind, thorough, and great at explaining what they're doing and why. Always pleased with the service. Note: Usually booked a few weeks out so not easy to get a last minute prescription

Yelp
My story starts like the story of this business. One day I was on a flight back to Boston and ended up losing my glasses on the flight. It took me two months to do something about it, And when all of my colleagues told me about this business I had to try it! Honestly, Warby Parker is like the Chick-fil-A of the eyeglass business. As soon as I walked into this location I was greeted by some very friendly employees who are more than willing to help me get my situation handled. The process in total took about 10 minutes, with me bringing my prescription to them as I had previously had an eye exam. From the tryout process to the optician's knowledge and great staff, I was completely satisfied with my experience at Warby Parker. They have a lot of great frames selections for all head sizes, fashion senses, and personal style. I don't know why I didn't go to them sooner!

Yelp
I haven't had an eye exam close to four years; pre pandemic, and I was using JC Penney's optical for some time. But the Dr. there was nice, but store was very small with Dr. late at times and the wait times were too much even with appointment. I would drive from NE Eckington which is close to Bloomingdale, Le Droit Park, etc., to PG Plaza in Prince Georges County for my appointments. Well, they closed that JC Penney store and haven't been to an exam since. But my contact lenses were four years expired. it was Time. I found Warby Parker in my United Health Care in-network listing. I booked an appointment for the 1924 8th st NW Shaw store and had my appointed on a beautiful Saturday 11:45 April 15th 2023. I was immediately greeted at the counter. They already had my vital information since you can fill out the in take form (name, address, any allergies, etc., before hand to same time online after you set you appointment. Dr. Asha Vya is so professional and explains every step of the way and she was also very apologetic to me, which wasn't needed since the way Warby Parker has the routine set up, you get in and out; there were no seats/chairs there, so they must have to stay on their "A" game. After the exam, a young lady, Camille, greeted me with her computer pad and did all the transactions while we stood at the counter. I can't remember the last time I had such great experience at a business. The whole process was flawless!

Yelp
I've been waiting for this location to open and a few days ago it did! It's in the super cool, out of my price-range apartment building called The Shay in Shaw. Since The Shay is a huge building, it's helpful to know you can find the Warby Parker store on the corner of 9th and Florida. The staff are friendly and will greet you when you walk in. The space itself is very clean and sleek and inviting. There are seats to use as you wait for your friends to try on hundreds of pairs of the coolest glasses in the world. They have Warby Parker's entire collection, an eye doctor on site, AND a photo booth (genius). If you're in the area, definitely stop by. It's the coolest glasses store you'll ever walk into. When you're done, go around the corner to grab a latte at Compass Coffee.

Yelp
I love this store. They're all very attentive even when the store is packed with customers. The optician (Dominic?) is great--very nice guy and has adjusted my glasses perfectly.
google avatar

Destiny R.

Yelp
I get so many compliments on my titanium frames. The black Blair style suits a lot of faces. Everyone who assisted me was friendly and helpful and answered my questions to include the optometrist. The sales consultant picked interesting bold styles I never would have chosen for myself. The optician was great too he knew exactly what to adjust. The location is clean and convenient to the metro with books for sale. The design of the map of places to read in Shaw is cute but might feature benches rather than stones.

Yelp
Ok. So. I am legally blind. I mean I can't see anything. Just kidding, I can. But, #BARELY. So I have been getting glasses every couple of years for over a decade now but this was my first pair I purchased no longer on my parent's insurance. Needless to say, I was super intimidated and actually dreading it. But then I was like "I'm a strong black woman and I'm going to get whatever pair I want, cuz I'm grown, boo" So I went to Warby Parker. Im not even going to talk about the transformation of 8th Street N.W. right now because you wouldn't believe me anyway. Let's just say that if things hadn't changed so much, the only people who would be shopping at Warby on 8th would be your local crackhead. Anyway, after looking at every pair on the website every day for three weeks, I finally took a Lyft to the actual store and then after trying on EVERY PAIR, taking pictures in the photo booth, asking the girl if I looked cute for the 67th time, I finally chose the pair that this dude said gave him "sexy librarian vibes." Bingo. Exactly what I was going for. Cuz you know, you need glasses that are trendy enough to go with your man repelling outfit but won't actually repel men. Everyone in the store was so nice. The girl who rang me up, continued to compliment me, measured my face and then I payed UNDER $200! I have never purchased prescription glasses for so cheap in MY LIFE. And this is with the scratch resistance, anti glare, shipping, handling, everything! Also, everything went smoothly with my insurance, I just asked for an invoice and waited for my reimbursement. The only things were, it did take me a while to get them BUT it was the holidays, like I literally ordered them on December 20th. And it was HELLA crowded in there, like it was hot in the winter because people were so pressed. And it's like that every time I walk by. Like dang, do all of these people really need glasses??? What is in the water? Are GMOs making us blind??? Anyway, love my glasses and I'm secretly a lifetime customer.

Yelp
Great, great, great!! I was in need of new prescription eye wear and reached out to friends on social media for recommendations. All of my DC-based friends, with glasses said I had to try Warby Parker. I went to the Shaw location on a Saturday, I will say it was crowded, and took some time to get assistance, BUT the rest of the experience was terrific! I ordered a pair on the spot, and the sales associate reached out to me over text to keep me updated on the status, etc.. I was able to text back with questions, which is such a huge help! No need to call in or email anyone. I received my high-quality, shiny new pair of the Tortoise shell "Eugenes" and couldn't be happier. I also love that for every pair purchased, a pair is donated to someone in need! Will be recommending to my friends!

Yelp
Unfortunately, have to update my review today. I walked in to check out some eyeglasses and the manager on duty (white woman with blonde hair) made me very uncomfortable by walking up to two of the employees on duty to tell them that could not talk to each other but only to customers. I was the only physical person (customer) present in the location and both of employees had already asked me if I needed any assistance. I told both of them that I would let them know if I needed any help. I never have any issues with the employees at this location or the service that I receive. But today that made me very uneasy hearing that two employees can not even converse while working. It felt very prison like and I just don't think any person should have to work in that type of environment.

Andy S.

Yelp
So much nicer, so much cheaper, and service that's superior to all other eyeglass places.

Yelp
I've been taking advantage of Warby Parker's mail order service for years so was absolutely tickled pink when they opened up a brick-and-mortar location in DC. The aesthetic of the store is handsome and smart which makes everything you try on look so much better than in your slightly mussed up mirror in your home bathroom. As soon as I walked in I was happily greeted by a salesperson who gave me the low down on what to expect but for the most part left me alone in my own comfort to check out all the different looks that were available. For $95, you get a very high quality, stylish pair of glasses with lenses which is SO MUCH LESS than what you would pay at your doctor's office. They also have an in house optometrist so you can make one trip (unfortunately contacts are not included in the prescription but they are hoping to change this soon).
google avatar

Nisha D.

Yelp
I already have Warbies that I ordered online, and it was about that time when I needed to make a vision appointment. This location is really convenient for me and an optical + lens appointment was $120 which is pretty standard. I paid with FSA and it was no problem. I couldn't recommend this location more for a checkup! The optician that helped me today, Dr. Combs, was awesome! I had a bunch of hiccups with my existing prescriptions and she really took the time to explain to me what was up. She even set up an appointment for us to follow up and gave me her info to contact her if there were any problems in the meantime. The sales associate who handled my paperwork and payment was also very sweet and helpful.

Yelp
I am a new fan of Warby Parker... First, thank you to the staff for the great customer service. Last week I ordered my third pair of glasses because of the staff at this location. Please see the reason why I will visit again and again... 1. Ease of ordering 2. Knowledgeable staff 3. Warm greetings every time I walk through the doors 4. Cleanliness of the shop 5. Quick service from ordering to pickup 6. No crazy up-selling that I experience at other optical shops 7. Durable lenses 8. Great options for individuals who are tired of boring frames Overall, I love my frames.

Yelp
I have had the best retail experience every single time that I've walked into this store! Last year I came in to pick out a new pair of eyeglasses, and one of the associates personally helped me through the whole process. He picked out frames for me that matched my hair color AND would best fit my face - it felt like I had a personal shopper! Today I went in because a screw fell out of my sunglasses and they had fallen apart. One of the associates, Kashmere, made sure to find the perfect replacement screw, tightened them, and cleaned them for me. They fit even better than before and feel like a new pair of glasses! I would highly recommend visiting this store if you need anything eye related as they are 100% dedicated to customer satisfaction and happiness.

Yelp
I decided to try something new, go to a eye glass place that wasn't the norm. The address was a little confusing. I ended up having to walk around the corner. I walked in this clean establishment and was immediately greeted. I was given hand sanitizer and was given instructions on where to put the glasses, when finished trying them on. I also enjoyed that the employee gave me recommendations on the different styles, as I was very indecisive on what I wanted. The store was immaculate, so clean and very nice looking. I loved the professionalism from all the employees. I loved the variety of selections that they had. All and all I enjoyed my visit, and I would definitely recommend this location to anyone.
google avatar

Anthony E.

Yelp
Wow, just wow! Best floor team I met so far they def reward them because the service I received was top notch! I had to choose between 3 pairs and they helped my by taking a vote on which one looks better and it made me feel like a mode! 1000% recommend this place and business purpose. Would come back and get more items in the future.

Yelp
Thrilled that Warby Parker chose Shaw for it's second DC location. This store is great - really open and inviting interior even on a cold and rainy day. The glasses and sunglasses are lined up on three of the four walls of the store and there's two of each design out so multiple people can try each style. There are an overwhelming amount of salespeople here - I was asked if I needed help at least five times but that also means you get a ton of opinions on what frames look best on you. My advice is to take a photo in your potentials so you can see for yourself - there's a photo corner in the back of the store that will print out a digital photostrip instantly. Another nice perk of this location? Large jars of candy to snack on while you shop. I don't really need another pair of glasses...but I'll probably end up with a third pair pretty soon :)
google avatar

Alexandra G.

Yelp
After an unsatisfying trip to another business, I wasn't feeling hopeful that I could find a pair of stylish glasses within my price range. I stopped by Warby Parker just because I happened to be passing by and left with a pair of glasses on the way! The sales associates were helpful, but not overbearing. One even popped the lenses out of sunglasses so I could see how they would look without tinting. They walked me through the ordering process and handled the insurance for me. Overall, I had to front a $30 co-pay and nothing more! Sadly, once I received my glasses, they didn't look right. I emailed a representative who not only processed the entire exchange (no questions asked!), but also looked at a photo I sent (of a pair I had not purchased) to match the frames for me. I was blown away that I didn't have to go back to the store to track them down. Now, I am eagerly anticipating my new glasses, thanks to Warby Parker!

Kylie B.

Yelp
Very helpful staff, clean environment, large selection. I was helped by Anna, who was incredibly kind, attentive, and honest when I asked her opinion about a couple of frames. Associates were happy to help and propose suggestions, as well as adjust frames to perfect the look. When my Rx was unclear, Anna was willing to put in the order and then allow me to clear up the situation with my doctor so that the order was already started. Lastly, the glasses look great and were relatively affordable for the quality.

Yelp
After my optician tried to smother me with $400 (lenses not included) Tiffany and co frames, then crazy lady pink and purple cats eye frames, I dumped them. Off to warbly I went. $95 later, I picked out the cutest frames that include lenses! The store is spacious and very coolly decorated. A leather soda awaited those needing a seat. Tons of frames with difference colors and styles. No silly designer names (or prices) to worry about. I personally don't like sparkles galore on my frames or care about designer labels. The quality was equal or better to other stores. Lots of staff available, although I don't believe all were fully trained opticians. I had no issue getting assistance. My sales gal seemed more of a salesperson and needed to consult a more senior manager for some questions. We got the job done and narrowed down to frames that fit my face the best. My order is in and will update review when the glasses arrive. Don't settle for expensive frames when warbly can get you hip styles and excellent quality for much much less.
google avatar

Reana K.

Yelp
Warby Parker, this is a little like reviewing a large chain store because, well, you kind of know what you're getting here. For a rather small chain business, however, that's a good thing! Service, cleanliness, and selection are all exactly what you'd expect from Warby Parker. The staff are helpful, but won't hound you in case you just wanted to try on 90 different frames on a lark. As a brand, Warby Parker has a very stylish selection of adult lenses and sunglasses for not bad prices - especially if you don't have vision insurance and you were paying full freight for glasses anyway. Frames start at $95, and in recent years they've added increasingly expensive styles. You can get your eyes checked here, and your glasses adjusted. You must have a recent prescription from Warby Parker or any other eye doctor to buy prescription glasses.
google avatar

Sharice D.

Yelp
The shop has adopted comprehensive COVID procedures and felt super clean and safe. In addition to the great selection I was so pleased with the staff!! I went alone and they helped by giving me some great recommendations and feedback on the frames I picked. I also had a pair of broken frames and although they couldn't fix my issue the young lady did her best to help me resolve the problem. Would definitely recommend, I walked out with two new pair!
google avatar

V L.

Yelp
I'm definitely loving that in the last year, Warby Parker has opened two stores in DC. Before that, I went home to NYC and visited Warby Parker to get my glasses. I walked in yesterday around 5 pm and wasn't greeted or acknowledged by anyone the whole time I was there. Instead, I was left to my own device to try on sunglasses and glasses and marvel at the simplicity and wide variety. While some like being left alone, I would prefer to at least get recognized. The worker to customer ratio was such that surely someone could have said hello. There was a huge jar of pins I wanted to check out but those seemed kind of guarded by the reception area. There is also a board with patient names and their appointments.

Yelp
Let me preface this by saying I have an extremely high prescription (less than -5.00 in both eyes) and astigmatism. It always takes a few tries for me to find frames that don't make even the thinnest lenses available look super thick with my prescription. I had to return one pair that just didn't look right. I ended up with glasses I loved, but five months later they were so scratched that I couldn't even see through them. I've been wearing glasses most of my life and this is the first time that has ever happened to me. I don't know if Warby uses a particular type of coating, or sub-par lenses but they were covered tiny scratches as if I'd cleaned them with steel wool (I hadn't). The return process was painless and I now love my glasses again. If you have a high prescription make sure to ask them to polish the edges of your lenses. It makes them appear thinner than the frosted unpolished edges in my experience. My glasses weren't as cheap as they normally would be from Warby because I need high index lenses, but they're about half the price that they would have been from an eye doctor. I've had positive experiences at both the U St. location where I purchased them and the Georgetown location where I've been for adjustments.
google avatar

Davishia J.

Yelp
I bought glasses that I loved but there was some damage to my my coating after a few months. Jade provided excellent customer service, understood while I couldn't leave my glasses and made it simple for my replacement. She even explained the frames maybe slightly different but I could choose which one I liked the most. Good service is sometimes hard to find in this area, but I definitely got it today.

Yelp
I like this concept a lot. I've had to wear glasses for the past 11 years, and frames were always really expensive. On top of that, not everyone has vision insurance, and so a lot of frames (basically sight itself) seem to more of a luxury, which is annoying to say the least. I first used the online ordering process where I picked out 5 frames to try and ended up choosing one of them. I then ordered it with my prescription online very easily, though part of the online fitting process didn't work too well (where you had to line up your face to a card), so I got a headache every time I put them on originally, so I had to take them in to get a more accurate prescription. The staff at this location was both attentive and very welcoming, it was a real pleasure dealing with them. They also helped me adjust the frames as well since they were sliding down my nose a lot. That was to be expected though since they have one-size-fits-all frames until you try to readjust them. All of the frames they have are really stylish. I'd definitely recommend them to anyone if they're trying to get cheap frames that look great. This particular location is great too, it's located in a very convenient location close to the U St metro station and several bus lines.

Yelp
Sloppy and incompetent. Fine experience in the store. But incompetent fulfillment. Processing the computer-generated prescription and the eye glass order got lost on the backend. Their system did not detect the mix-up until I emailed almost 2 weeks later inquiring about the status of my order. When I finally did receive my prescription, the signature of the optometrist was cut off. When I brought this to the attention of Warby Parker response was subpar and requires reminding them that I paid for a legally-valid prescription and expected to receive what I had paid for. Great concept--fix your order fulfillment system and better train your customer service team.

Yelp
I cannot remember the last time a company was so efficient, friendly and just plain enjoyable to do business with; no joke, I was STUNNED by how well this company works online and in their store. SEAMLESS, no-hassle, no hidden costs experience. And their people are SUPER chill and friendly. I got 2 pairs of glasses and 1 pair of prescription sunglasses AND an eye exam, for the same amount of money I spent on just ONE pair of frames at another boutique competitor. If you don't try Warby Parker, you are either too rich to care that most other places are price gouging, or you have perfect eye sight. But if you want incredible service, selection, style and savings, these guys are where it is at.

Yelp
I was 10 min late and they gave my spot to get checked to another customer. They refused to see me even though the place was empty.

Yelp
Earlier in the day, my spouse said he was interested in getting prescription sunglasses. We walk past here after dinner. Coincidence? The workers there were very friendly, even when my daughter accidentally dropped a pair of glasses from the front window display and they had to fish it out, with difficulty, with a bent wire coat hanger... They let my spouse accumulate a pile of sunglasses and then try them on at his leisure. Although I wish they could have rushed him along a bit, they were helpful and told him what needed to happen in order for his prescription to get filled. Price is right, too.

Yelp
I purchased new frames at Warby Parker. They read the Rx from my existing glasses. They misread the Rx. I could not see a thing. They insisted it was just my eyes getting used to new lenses. I told them that this was supposedly same Rx I had for some time and I shouldn't need any time to adjust. They insisted that I take the glasses with the bad Rx and return. I refused to accept the glasses and the customer service rep was agitated and insisted I take them so that she could check off that they had been picked up. I refused. She said she could not verify whether the correct Rx had been installed and I needed to return to see another rep. I returned and another customer service agent, the one who sold me the glasses, read the Rx and verified that it was correct. I asked him to write down the Rx that he had. I found my original Rx which was very different than the one Warby Parker installed. I went to the Georgetown branch and asked the customer service rep there to read my Rx. Her reading matched my original Rx and was very different than the reading from the 8th street store. She, however, refused to install my Rx without a new eye exam. I cancelled my purchase and received a full refund. Terrible experience.

Yelp
I love love love love this place! this location is bigger, brighter and more friendly than the gtown location. so i never liked the warby parker model where they mail you 5 glasses and you picked (or didnt) frames you wanted, i felt like it put a lot of pressure on those 5 choices. But how i love the brick and mortar store! its light and airy and bright. there is a photo booth in the corner for you to take a pic to see how your glasses look on you (and it prints as a super cute 3 frame pic like at an amusement park). Whether or not you like the frames is a matter of personal taste, and I have a very high prescription so it was great to learn that for $30 i could get light weight high index lenses. What really makes this store great is the staff. They are friendly and easy going and its not a rushed and pushy sales pitch kind of a place. the best advice i can also offer is to listen to the naysayers--- i probably went to this location 4 times in my quest for the perfect pair. The associate who had the chutzpah to be say "oh no, those glasses are doing you no favors" was such a winner. Last but not least, Warby Parker has a 30 day no questions asked return policy, so don't be afraid to jump in! Oh and if you need your "pupillary distance" measured (its often not on regular prescriptions) the staff here can do it. Also, a little known service, they offer eye exams for $75 on site.

Yelp
Worst experience...they lost my glasses after sending me an email to pick up. To make matters worse, they dont have my frame style any longer. Wasted trip, wasted hour. Finally they refunded my money...do NOT shop here! Go to SEE in DC, first class!

Yelp
I had a very good experience here with an eye exam ($75) and a satisfactory experience picking out new pair of glasses ($125-- needed the polycarbonate lenses because of my prescription). I can drive in them without worry! Just don't expect the staff to help you choose frames-- bring a friend! Dr Cassandra Liew took the time to discuss my previous problems in obtaining a solid pair of glasses. I have a strong prescription (around 5.5) and have struggled with DC optometrists for years to get a pair of glasses where I felt comfortable enough walking around or driving. She got it right the first time. However, the floor staff did not offer help as I struggled to pick out frames. I flagged one guy down and he helped me choose some frames I wasn't too sure of. When I received them, I realized he'd helped me pick out men's sized glasses. They were way too big, so I had to go back and re-try frames (with a friend's help). The re-make process was no hassle. Warby Parker doesn't have the widest range of styles, but for $125 I felt like I came away with a good deal. I will be back in the summer for a second pair. If you have VSP, you can get reimbursed $50 for the exam and about $95 for the frames + lenses.

Yelp
I own two pairs of Warby Parkers and have not been impressed with the quality of the frames. Then again, they are stylish, the lenses are of good quality and the prices are dirt cheap. Today I had a fantastic service experience that more than makes up for the frames' mediocre quality. I showed up at the Shaw location with no appointment and a broken pair of two-year-old (i.e., out of warranty) Warby sunglasses. The optician immediately offered to fix them, but she had a hard time. She asked if I could give her a half hour to work on them further. After 30 minutes she said she hadn't fixed them 100%, but had came up with somewhat of a makeshift fix. In any case, the glasses now seem as good as new, as far as I can tell. On top of this, she offered me a completely free replacement of the frames and lenses. Since the frames I have were discontinued, she said I could pick any model I'd like! Wow.

Yelp
Warby Parker is the way to go for eyeglasses. They are good quality and for $95 you get your single vision prescription, anti-reflective coating and delivery! Also, free home try on. This location in DC was a little tricky to find because the address didnt seem to match where it actually is. The staff is friendly and the store looks amazing. I have been wearing Warby Parkers for 4 years now and LOVE them!

Yelp
My experience was very disturbing and racist. I reached out to the corporate office of Warby Parker to let them know that I noticed African American customers not receiving the same treatment and service as white customers. I was looking at glasses for 20 mins in this store and not one person offered to assist me. I noticed white customers who immediately walked into the store or were looking at glasses already were greeted offered help on pricing and advice on which glasses would look best on them. Black customers including myself never received a greeting or any type of assistance unless we asked for it. I noticed the staff behind the counters would rush with gladness to serve whites while ignoring blacks. I was very upset but then I realized this is the essence of what gentrification brings to the community ignoring customers of color and serving white customers with gladness. I was encouraged to visit this store by a fellow coworker it was a mistake and an eye opening experience. It reminded me of the days my grandparents spoke of when blacks were denied service based on the color of their skin. Although I was able to walk in the store look around and purchase a pair of glasses if I desired. My complexion was the real issue as to why I was not offered the same service as a white customer. Warby Parker please do better and address this issue. Lets not turn back the clock to the days of old but please remember that black people matter even if some of your staff think otherwise.

Yelp
I went in for an eye doctor appointment on June 13 to receive my glasses prescription. I then bought glasses, in person, with a customer service agent on their iPad. By July I still had not received my glasses. I called customer service two times for them to tell me the order had never been placed (the worker had just never hit 'confirm'), there was no way for them to know which frame I chose, and they did not even offer me free expedited shipping after having waited a month for my glasses. I now have to wait 2-3 more weeks. Absolutely terrible customer service.

Yelp
I was in the area and decided to stop by as I wanted to try the Kimball and Stockton glasses on in person that I had seen online. I already own a pair of Oliver glasses from Warby Parker, so I'm familiar with their product. As soon as I entered the store, I was greeted by an employee. I told him that I was looking for a particular style of glasses and he showed me where they were on their wall, and gave me pertinent information on the glasses in case I was to order a pair. I spent about 20 minutes trying on various pairs (not just the Kimball and Stockton styles). It's easy to go down the rabbit hole of trying on their glasses because they're so many options and cool styles. They also have lots of mirrors around so you can see what you look like with them on and even snap a few photos of yourself to go back and reference for later. After I was done my try-on session (LOL), I walked over and spoke to another employee and asked about the turn around time for ordering glasses in store versus online. She let me know what the requirements were for each, and I decided to think more about which pair I wanted. I ended up ordering online today, as a direct result of the great service I received at this store. I can't wait to get my new glasses!
