Came for weekend brunch and it was excellent! $5 mimosas and great food. We had an omelette which was good and the avocado toast which was amazing. Would highly recommend.

Went to Sunday brunch, our food was delicious, waffles with chicken is a must have. mimosas were just $5 and really good. Very attentive staff.

The food was great. I got the skillet mac and cheese and also tried the fish tacos. My cocktail was also good. I forget the name but it was one of their house cocktails with gin. The service was poor. It took 15 minutes for our server to come over to our table once we were seated. Our food came out really quick which was great but after we finished she did not come check on us at all. I had to walk over to the bar/kitchen area to get her attention and tell her I wanted to pay and leave because we had somewhere to be. I would give it another try only because I thought the bar itself was cool and the food was really good.

I'm not one to leave bad reviews or any reviews but unfortunately I would give this place less than 1 star if I could. It seemed like a nice place to go to so I went with my cousin and a friend for her birthday. We sat at a nice table right next to the window and the restaurant seemed decent, but I can't say the same for the service... from the start we were treated with disdain. The server barely spoke to us and paid little attention to our order. First, we ordered a bottle of wine, which he spilled quite a lot at the table and did not bother to clean up or apologize. Then we ordered some appetizers and drinks, and we would have ordered more had the service been better or had the server come back to check on us. So far we weren't very pleased, but it got worse. Since it was a friend's birthday we ordered a cake, which they removed from the table WHILE we were eating and were clearly not done with. After that we were still drinking and talking when the server brought the bill without making sure we were done ordering. Because of that, we decided to order one more round of beer before closing our tab. Here comes the best part: the server said he wouldn't be able to serve us anything else because one of us spilled a little bit of cocktail on the table by accident, which he also did not bother to clean... We asked why he would not place the order and he said we could be a liability for the restaurant! We ordered food, cake, 1 bottle of wine, 3 beers, 1 cocktail and 1 martini for 3 people and I personally don't see how that can be a liability to any restaurant! So that was my full experience with this restaurant.

I visited Ward 8 before going to a Celtics game since it was nearby and had an open reservation. From the reviews, it seems promising for good cocktails and eats. Unfortunately, my experience was pretty inconsistent and there were some positives and negatives. I’d say Ward 8 is pretty middle of the road and nothing to really write home about. The cocktails were okay, nothing too special but at $15 I hoped they’d be a little more flavorful. The Mac n cheese is actually really good. Super cheese and came out piping hot. The pork belly buns are always pretty good too. I would definitely suggest though two for sharables. The soft pretzel wasn’t what I hoped, it seemed like something you’d get from Costco. It was also pretty small and dry. The grilled salmon entree is actually really good. The salmon was very tasty and cooked perfectly. The kale Caesar salad was pretty mediocre. There was much more romaine than kale and the dressing wasn’t very flavorful. I added grilled chicken and while I got a lot of chicken, it was over cooked and dry. The service was pretty good but did get slow toward the second half of our sitting as it got busier, but our server was kind and attentive. The ambiance was okay but during the daytime seemed a bit dark. I say at a tiny table in the corner where the wall shook every time the front door closed which was unexpected. Overall, this place is fine if you need to grab food before a game but honestly wouldn’t go out of my way for it.

Stopped in for brunch, and the chicken sandwich I had was very good. Now, the Sazerac cocktail was strong (nothing wrong with that)and a good fit for those who like a licorice tasting drink. The service was great.

Thank God for Ward 8! We pulled a rookie mistake and didn’t make reservations before the Bruins game but luckily stumbled upon this gem! Grabbed a seat at the bar and had great service from the Bartenders! The food was excellent (I recommend the fried chicken sandy) as was the atmosphere! Thanks for saving my wallet from buying food at the Garden my guys!
