Wards Berry Farm

Ward Berry 🍓🫐 Farm is a place where you get to experience the countryside in a nutshell. The weekend when we decided to go was undoubtedly a perfect day for Berry picking. It's advisable to visit it during an overcast/ less ☀️ day because you might feel the fatigue right away. We started with the hay ride to the 🫐 farms where we were allowed to pick until our baskets were full 😁. It was a good test of patience and attention to detail 😆. Then we took a tour of 🍑 and 🌻 fields which were at the peak of their season. There are so many activities to do in paddle carts, kids park and the best part shopping organic produce. The restrooms do need a lot more maintenance, other than that I felt the day spent was worthwhile.

Visiting in September! A very fun sunflower maze for all ages, good size local grocery store, tons of pumpkins, and a good sized playground for smaller kids. Tractor rides and pedal go-karts! Easily accessible, centrally located for most Boston-area residents. Plenty of parking.

Strawberry picking first time last Saturday & it was fun. strawberry field is quite big. 🍓 on the farm were not big but sweet. I prefer farm without entrance fee where I have more flexibility to get more fruits or not. Wards berry farm was a good pick for me. bought a small box ($7.5@), enjoy the picking and good weather at the farm. Hay ride for $4.5@. There was plenty of space & playground for kids. Also, a cafe for some food after picking.

A great farm spot with many farm goods, amusement and fun. We came just for the sunflower field and were not disappointed. It was big beautiful and great for pictures. I've heard sunflower fields are popular for engagements too❤️

Fun farm for the whole family. Picking year round for different flowers and fruits. Animals on the property. And now they have chickens running around. The place can be busy on the weekend. Very busy. From hay rides to birthday parties. Plenty of things for the kids to do. A giant playground and castle was installed recently which is at no cost. The bounce park and the new pedal tractors are extra but not to much. I feel like the pick your own could be a little high priced but thats ok. Plenty of food to buy on the grounds. Food truck and the window at the main store. The bathrooms are those new tractor bathrooms with three stalls but lately on one worked on each one. These bathrooms are not wheelchair accessible but I assume elsewhere there is a portapotty that is ground level. Decent amount of parking on the grounds and close to the highway.

I've taken my kids here a few years now and it's awesome. So much for them to do like a trampoline thing and pedal carts and a playground. Beer garden for adults. Snacks and food too. So good!

I had a wonderful mommy & so a day here with my boys! There were plenty of activities, a big bouncy pillow, park, and go carts. The food options were good, cider, cider donuts, elite corn, burgers, yum!! Our favorite part was the hayride to the pumpkin patch! For about $100 you can enjoy fun, food, and activities for a family of 4. Bonus: they had pick your own lavender, carrots, and sweet potatoes too!

Where do I begin, This place has a little something for everyone. My husband took me here on a little day date and it did not disappoint. First of all, if you have littles this place has so many outdoor play structures and cute little sitting areas for parents. Secondly, they have a cute little place you can sit outside and eat wraps and sandwiches that you can buy inside the store that has everything you can imagine and they have a small deli. My husband and I did the pick your own wild flowers, sunflowers, & raspberries. We were there for probably close to two hours just enjoying ourselves. Definitely recommend this place 10/10!!! I can’t wait to go back.

I came here over the weekend with friends for strawberry picking. I don't eat strawberries but occasionally I'll add them to smoothies if they're there so I mainly came for the experience. First off playing farmville was a lie! because I thought strawberry shrubs were tall not so low to the ground. It did however help me to get some squats in haha. There was some drizzle of rain but I sang my go-away-rain song and it cleared up to a beautiful sunny day :) It was $24 for 2quarts which is roughly 3.5lbs of strawberries. We harvested a lot of various sizes and shapes! Some looked like the perfect poster strawberry and others that look the opposite but the end of the day they all taste the same! The indoor farm store has lots to offer including some of Ward's Berry Farm's bottled jammed, edible flowers, meats, fruits and vegetables etc as well as other brands. They also have a food and smoothie section to get food from with shaded eating tables outside. I tried their purple banana smoothie but I was a little disappointed in how little banana there was in it, otherwise it was a refreshing smoothie. There's also a food truck on site but I didn't get to take a look at their menu. They have private tents for kids birthday parties. And a big playground for them to have fun on. I know i'm way past the age to be playing on a playground but I would've enjoyed jumping on the bounce pillow they had haha. Note: I saw signs around the compound saying "no dogs"

Nice atmosphere and convenient location! Flowers were plentiful and grown in cute an neat little rows. I wish i had more photos to share but my phone battery was finished! Here are flowers that we plucked from there. They sell berries and fruits depending on the season! Fun family outing for a weekday !

Great experience for strawberry's! About 40 minutes outside the city, but great little escape! The country store is fun with lots of local produce and foods. Flowers for sale were amazing!

This is one half of the woodstock sandwich. It was sooo good! The portion was generous with lots of meat and cheese. The peppers and onions were cooked enough to mellow out their flavor too. The bun was soft and perfect for the rich meaty sandwich. This is the sandwich to get here. However, it took around 15 minutes to get the sandwich after ordering (which is worth the wait). The rest of the farm was beautiful too with so many family activities, live music, and great produce. The parking was ample as well. Mark this farm as a nice weekend stop this fall!

Ward's is a great place to spend a weekend afternoon if you have kids. Their summer set up includes live music, tractor rides, bounce mats, and food/beer trucks in addition to a playground area and pick your own fields. Castle Island has a booth for cold beers while your kids play. When the kiddos need a snack, they have soft serve, smoothies, and sandwiches inside in addition to a food truck serving hot dogs, chicken fingers, and fries. The store inside has a nice selection of veggies and fruits along with all the basics you would find at a small speciality grocery store. The prices are pretty high though. There is also a small selection of baked goods that are delicious. Plenty of parking along the side in an unpacked lot.

Wow, what I'm well-maintained farm that you can enjoy all year long! They have a beautiful indoor little market with fresh deli sandwiches and smoothies, as well as ice cream. The grounds are absolutely beautiful with farm animals, fruit, and plenty of activities for the children to do.

Took my students on a field trip here this fall and it's just a wonderful community building experience. We start off by taking a tractor ride through the farm stopping along the way to learn about the plants that are growing. The person running the ride was friendly and knowledgeable. The students then get to feed the piglets and watch them eat. Then it's back on the tractor to drive down to the pumpkin patch. Included in the price of the trip, the students each get to pick a pumpkin. Then we headed to the pavilion where we ate lunch. They also have a really big playground that my students loved playing on. They have porta-potties that were big and clean. Such a fun trip that our young students really enjoy.

We came more for the experience than the berries, or at least I had. It was my mom's first time strawberry picking. She had no idea that strawberries were such a low growing fruit. It was my second time so I let her do most of the work, although I don't think she deemed it as such. For the two of us, I picked up a pint size strawberry box ($5.50, no tax) in the white tent between the potted plants and the playground. (Tip: enter Ward's Berry Farm, and head right to park.) There were other things under the tent to entice, including those frozen dots treats, but now was not the time to weigh myself down - off to the fields! How? The lady at the register was kind enough to point the way upon my inquiry - past the hay ride, and there would be a strawberry sign with an arrow to point the way along the dirt road. 10 minute walk to the day's field. (Actually, it took us 4 minutes.) The hay ride was $4 per person. You pay at the same spot and the line starts up right outside the tent. Tractor pulled, there was actually no hay involved. It looked safe enough for the younglings with benched seats and safety rails, though they may need an assist up the steps to get on and off. The ride unloaded folks at the farther end of the field, which was quite smart in spreading out the berry pickers, and giving them more of a ride for their money. There was a porta potty right by the strawberry field. A rather good sized one from Pee Palace. I didn't peek inside, but it looked decently roomy. A staffer greeted us and suggested that we pick a row and try our luck near the center. Strawberries don't seem to all grow at the same rate. Small white young berries grew right beside red berries of various sizes! We looked for red specimens of course, and tried to find some on the larger side, although the smaller red berries also looked quite lovely. It took less than 20 min for us to have a heaping pint of bright red berries. Strawberry Picking season started up at Ward's Berry Farm on June 8th this year. With this being the last weekday morn before Father's Day 2022, it was pleasantly sparsely populated, while the berries were still a-plenty. I wouldn't say the same for their playground. There were a good number of children jumping on the new bouncy pillow ($5 for 30 min, socks recommended), and probably two different events taking place. A food truck hawking a simple menu of hamburgers, cheese burgers, hot dogs, grilled cheese, french fries (gussied up or not) and frozen treats sat handily by the playground. We didn't make it to the farm store on this visit, but would have been glad to spend more time here if we had it. I'd also love to have checked out the other fields to see if I could have been tempted to pick up a box of sugar snap peas ($8 a quart), or some of their pick your own flowers ($14 for a 16 oz mason jar). Bigger berry pickers could have opted for a 2 quart box for $20 or a 4 quart for $35, in place of our sufficient pint for $5.50. I'm surprised it took me so long to make it out here. I've been to the market between Ward's and Route 95, and never knew this place existed so close! I appreciated that the farm was no dogs allowed given that we were basically picking food off from the ground. Oh, and I asked if their strawberries were organic - they aren't. We fit 24 berries in our little box, and they were sweet. We realized afterwards that we should have picked some smaller red specimens to fill out the empty air pockets. Oh well, next time!

this farm was so beautiful! they had a variety of pick your own crops. for this time of year, we picked flowers, sunflowers, blueberries, edamame, and potatoes. we spent a few hours on the farm, and it was a great way to spend our sunday. you have to purchase containers/baggies to hold the crops before you enter. they also have clippers. the farm is definitely big, so i highly recommend having water as you will be walking around a lot if you are picking your own crops. there are also carts throughout the farm that you can use to hold your stuff. if you plan on picking flowers, i would recommending picking them last so that they don't dry up as much. we had a wonderful time. i would highly recommend coming here for pick your own crops or just to explore the farm.

This place is such a gem! My husband and I went with our two-year-old to pick blueberries. Our kiddo loved it. There are other activities there to entertain the kids. The playground was a big hit. We tried the bouncy pillow, but it wasn't for him. They have a cute shop with yummy shakes, snacks and baked goods. I would love to try there sandwiches next time. We can't wait to go back.

Very cool place to get your pumpkins! Went today around 2 it was pretty packed but it was a very fun experience.

So fun! I went blueberry picking here and although it was out of season, there were still a lot of blueberries and they were flavorful. I thought the prices were reasonable for the blueberries, roughly 5$ for a decent sized box and they also give you a little net so your blueberries dont fall out in transit. There were some rows where the blueberries were very dry and looked like they hadn't been watered in a while, which is what is prompting the four stars - though I also understand we are in a drought right now and also its nearing the end of the season. We got there on a Saturday afternoon and were afraid there was no parking, but there were a lot of spots further down near the blueberries so it worked out for us. There are also peaches, asian pears, nectarines, apples, grapes, and flowers that you can also choose from.

This place is amazing entertainment for toddlers. They have a playground, slide, swing set, bouncy pad, pigs, and large sandbox with lots of construction trucks for public use. Parents can spend a whole afternoon here (2-4 hours) with their kiddos no problem. Conveniently, they serve sandwiches, wraps, and smoothies. Our favorite wrap is their Ranchero in a Spinach wrap. We also love their Strawberry Cooler. They also sell baked goods and serve ice cream, which kiddos love. Plenty of outdoor picnic table seating. Tip: Order your food online in advance to avoid standing line, which can get long especially during the weekends. My Star Rating: 5 stars: Blew my mind, had a wow factor, will return 4 stars: I liked it but didn't love it, no wow factor, will still return 3 stars: I didn't hate it, but didn't like it either. Will not voluntarily return 2 stars: I did not like it, I would not return 1 star: I absolutely hated it, I would not return

Such great family activities! Not too expensive to get in, loved the fresh produce and variety of pumpkins and gourds!

An awesome summer stop for families with kids! Lots of "pick your own" fields, including strawberries, peas, and flowers. There's a large playground area (separated into big kid and little kid areas), some animals, and a large market place that sells the farm's products as well as other local goods. There's a little cafe in there too that makes awesome smoothies, sandwiches, etc. The only downside is that spending a day there will cost you a pretty penny. PYO strawberries are $6 a pint, a bundle of sunflowers is $12, some parts of the playgrounds you have to pay to use, and the food they make there is on the more expensive side. It's fun, fresh, and delicious though, so worth it!

Stopped tonight at Wardsberry for the first time in months. It still is a great place. Even in the winter the produce is close to perfection. I'm not sure how anyone can give this place terrible reviews. Anyone who waits 90 minutes for a sandwich, must be looking for something to complain about. Wardsberry's main items are fantastic, especially their baked products. They are on the expensive side, but worth it. I pass on their ice cream, Crescent Ridge is a ten minute drive, Bubbling Brook is 12 minutes away.

We went here during apple picking season. The cider donuts and hot cider were incredible while outside in the brisk autumn air

So.... I didn't actually go berry picking b/c it was way too hot lol - however, the farm to table food truck was AMAZING. Got this INCREDIBLE fried chicken sandwich for like $8 plus the Dippin Dots which were $5. Best fried chicken sandwich I've ever had, the bread, lettuce, tomato, chicken, cheese were all so so fresh. Dippin dots were also good. I'm sure anything grab and go style that you get there will be good b/c it's a farm so everything is so fresh. Coming in the summer, there is also a big market with a lot of the farm produce like fruits, flowers, jams- a lot of stuff / variety but it's not cheap haha... just fyi. Bathrooms are also similiar to porter potty's so they're not the cleanest, definitely bring hand sanitizer and tissues (I mean it's a farm so what can you expect? haha). I am also a single young adult with no kids... this place seems very family/kid oriented with playgrounds and bday parties, so I didn't feel like this was my place but overall food was very yummy & good amount of nice photo spots. Maybe I'll pick fruits when it's a bit cooler haha.

You can really make a day out of this place! In addition to local produce and pick your own, there is an area for kids to play, including a sand pit that my son loved, and some animals to see. You don't even have to leave to grab a bite cause their sandwiches and smoothies are delicious, and there is plenty of outdoor seating. Also, their scones are amazing! I didn't make it to strawberry PYO until the last week so not the best picking. However, I got some strawberries when they were at the Braintree Farmers Market and they were delicious. Cherry picking on the other hand was great! Got a mix of red and Rainer cherries. If you go, also stop at Crescent Ridge Dairy for some ice cream and to see the cows.

I'll start by stating that I went on a Monday, so my guess is that theres much more offered over the weekend. maybe more kids activities? I went mainly to teach my 6 yr old re agriculture and that food doesnt just "come from grocery stores" as he once asked about. There were plenty of strawberries. I was pleasantly surprised by that. There was no crowding at all (prob bc it was a weekday) The store items were intentionally laid out, even putting candy down at kids eye level. The prices for the strawberry baskets are only justifiable if you think of it as an "experience" for your kid vs number of berries per payment ratio. There were plenty of sunny and shady spots to rest and eat. I loved the playground made of oversized tires, the sand dune play area hugged by tall planks of wood (for those little runners), and the wooden benches and plastic chairs that surrounded the picking area. Something that impressed me was the quality of the porter potties. Im not talking about the solo typical ones. Im talking about the ones that lead up the stairs, have a foot push down lever, a real sink, Not purelle but soap w water. and real paper towels. (hell yeah. these are the simple life luxuries you appreciate again semi post covid) so essentially, I came to Ward's for the potties.

Great family or couple activity! Came here for blueberry picking ($20 for 1 qt or whatever there large box size is). It is $5.50 for their smaller box. It's been a few weeks into the fruit picking season but there was still a good amount of fruit to pick. It took us about one hour to fill up our fruit box. Depending on the season, you can also pick other fruits like strawberries or raspberries. They also have pick your own sunflowers and other flowers. After picking berries and taking photos by the sunflowers we took a peak at the little animal farm with goats and other animals. And then we had lunch at their sandwich and smoothie shop. Food is okay, a quick "pick me up"-picnic like meal to end a hot day of running around with kids. We also ordered their Jon Special fruit smoothie ($5) and milk shakes ($6). Prices are kind of high but it's worth it for convenience. Next time, I'm packing my own picnic though. This farm is about a 30ish minute out of Boston. Pretty good compared to other farms in west or north Mass.

Such a fun place to shop for fresh vegetables, unique foods and fancy dips. You never know what you'll find at Wards. They're well known for their Christmas tree selection during the holiday season. Pick from small, medium, or large trees and a kind treeman (or tree woman) will tie it up and toss it in the back of your car. Wards employees are always kind. The sandwich bar is a new addition out back which I'm looking forward to trying next time I'm back in Massachusetts. Thanks for the Christmas tree, Ward's. See you soon.

Brought our little family on Columbus Day. It was very packed. Lines were long for everything. We ordered food and smoothies which didn't come out at the same time. Smoothie was already melting by the time we got our food. On top of that, very little seatings to enjoy our food. We finally found a table next to animal petting section after 30 mins of roaming and waiting for people to be done using the tables. Besides the negatives, my little one enjoy petting the animals and playing at the playground. My autistic son loved the market as it had so much gourmet food already pre packaged for his liking. We also picked out a few cute pumpkins coming in all different colors and sizes. Overall, I would try to come again in the earlier Autumn months and perhaps not on a holiday. I would love to see the sunflower field also since we didn't get to do so.

Our first visit to Ward's Berry Farm was during the autumn of 2020, in the heart of a pandemic. That may have impacted our experience as we have nothing to compare it to. There were quite a few people on property the day of our visit and the parking lot was full. This is a dirt lot and it appears to be quite large so you may need to walk a bit before reaching the farm stand. Definitely wear sturdy footwear for both the lot and the grounds. A long line began outdoors to get into an outdoor, tent covered, shopping area which lead into the interior store. Customers were wearing masks, and keeping 6 feet apart. The line was not moving very quickly. Instead of allowing one person into the shopping area, as one left, they instead were waiting for the entire area to empty out and then allowing a group of people in at the same time. This didn't allow for proper spacing as everyone more or less ended up in the same general area right by the entrance. There was hand sanitizer and shopping baskets by the entry. I had hoped to purchase some farm fresh produce during this visit. Many of the items available were not grown on the farm, and some listed as being grown on site were 'waxed' which puzzled me. Why would you wax produce fresh out of the ground? I passed on those items. The sandwich counter was open and accessible through the outdoor shopping area. Customers could place an order, then step out of the way while they waited for the item to be prepared. Customers did their best to keep a safe distance from each other, but it didn't appear to be easy to always keep your six feet here. They have a few picnic tables where you can enjoy your sandwich if you choose outside this tented area. The interior access to the sandwich area was not available during our visit. I'm sure it was to keep the number of patrons milling around inside to a minimum. We wandered around the interior of the store and they have quite a few items for sale from jams to honey and salad dressings as well as more produce. Additionally they have fresh flowers, baked goods, dairy items and if I remember correctly meats as well. The interior is very nice; a sort of upscale farm décor. Cute. They had 'pick your own sunflowers' going on during our visit. It was a bit cold, but sunny on this day and quite a few people were taking part in this activity. You pay by the number of flowers you chose to pick, and you can rent shears if you didn't bring your own. There was one long line for this operation and this same area was where you purchase pumpkins and gourds on display just outside this second tented area. With only one register, doing two different things, the line was long and didn't move quickly. There was no counter to put our items on in order to retrieve payment so they went on the ground until the transaction was over. No boxes or bags were available for our selections so perhaps bring your own? The items we chose would have been far less expensive at the local grocer, however, supporting local business is where it's at these days and so it is. The property looks like it is quite nice and they seem to offer a large variety of produce throughout the year. With the limitations of the pandemic, much of the property was off limits to customers and we didn't get a good 'feel' for how the business was run previously. I believe if we lived closer we would stop in more often and probably take advantage of their CSA. Maybe in the summer we'll stop by to pick our own blueberries. See if they have worked any bugs out of the system caused by pandemic limitations. We encountered a number of staff during our visit and honestly, most of them were not terribly friendly. No one was outright disrespectful, they all just seem to be under a lot of stress. One staff members was standing in the outdoor shopping area glaring at people with his arms folded. No idea what that was about. It was a tough year. Hopefully this year will be better. Their website shows they are offering 'no contact' curbside pickup if you order on-line and the store remains open daily.

A fantastic farm with excellent produce and sandwiches. A local gem that I'm truly grateful exists. For those complaining about prices, they clearly do not understand quality. This is not a Shaw's.

I really love going here. There's so many fruit and vegetable picking options. I personally think it's worth the money. The only thing I didn't find was worth the money was the sandwiches. It was pretty mediocre, and it was a huge wait I probably could've made a better sandwich at home. Those smoothies are okay, but I didn't find the people working there that friendly. But if you're going there for the experience of picking, you won't be disappointed.

We Are visiting from Maryland and loved the place. Beautiful plants, organic foods and lunch options. Would definitely come again!

Stopped in again... left with 4 ears of corn Everything way overpriced ..., Cape cod frozen pizza the same I buy at The Market basket or Roche brothers twice the price? Why? Meat prices are phone numbers you used to see in a phone book. Blueberries two- three time piece of Maine blueberries I bought in Maine fresh picked and looked better.... The stonewall kitchen jams marked up higher than same at Roches or Whole Foods? Why... at outlet store in Kittery Maine 1/3 of their price... I guess they think they can overcharge and people don't care... corn a 1.10 an ear and looked fresh but I will see if as good as Volantes homegrown sweet corn in Needham... store a chaos shopping experience, but people buying so that is good... I don't see need when Market Basket is better prices and bakery and fresh fruits as good. I see people enjoy the experience and prices of the elite have no matter...

Had a good time there with my son! It's more of a local farm/market that also has PYO and a lot of playground space. We picked blueberries (plentiful and good! 2Qts is actually a lot more than it looks), took the "hay ride" (it was a tractor ride. No hay. $4. Kind of expensive for what it was and not necessary b/c PYO was really close by, but it was nice in the heat after picking), enjoyed sandwiches and smoothies (both super yummy), bought some produce for home (looks and smells great!) and enjoyed the playground (really nice play structures. In cooler weather, would do the bounce pillow too!). Note that they no longer have animals to feed, but there were some cute piggies to look at. This was a downer for my son (he wanted to feed farm animals), but he enjoyed the overall experience.

Very expensive. Produce is good and of good quality. Sandwiches and smoothies are also very good. Pick your own is very expensive as are the pumpkins.

Great place to bring your little one. Lots of fun things to do for kids. You'll spend at least 2 hours here.

I want to love wards sandwiches - and occasionally I do. But about 90% of the time they're extremely disappointing. So I will no longer be getting lunch there. If you want a good sandwich go down the street to Good food store on Rt. 1. Here's a pic of my latest sandwhich, which was basically just some stale bread with sauce.

Great spot to explore with young kids. I took my niece here and she mostly loved the playground. We checked out the sunflowers and picked some veggies. It is a bit of a walk to the fields, but doable! They also have wagon rides as an option too. Smoothies were delicious and perfect for summer treat!

After driving by the highway sign every day, we decided to stop in. Well, it is as expected with an outdoor farm stand with fruits, veggies and flowers that looked no better or worse than any other farm stand. I went for the pie though... (certified fat kid here, no shame). The store is just absolute chaos with no rhyme or reason as to why it's organized the way it is. In fact, I don't think they even try to organize it. Everything is just sort of, everywhere. It's not the place where you run in and just grab something. No, no, noooo you'll spend 20 minutes looking, another 15 minutes trying to find someone to help and another 15 minutes in line. Not to mention the staff, is just meh. But, I FOUND THE PIE. One blueberry pie, just randomly there, and it was mine and the best blueberry pie I've had ever. Will I go back for pie? Yea... ONLY if someone else goes in...

Cafe is delicious. The lines are long and food is expensive but worth it. Try and come during the week as they are very busy on weekends.

Sorry to say but I can't give a good review. I wish I could. I've bought so many items over the years and just chalked it up to a bad item. I finally realized they aren't as good as I wish they were. The prices are too high. $17.50 for a Apple Rhubarb Mixed Berry pie for Easter. The inside was tough and super sour. $2.25 for a blueberry muffin with one blueberry. I don't mind paying these prices, if the quality is good. But it isn't. It's great if you want to enjoy nature.

Ice cream selection limited, only soft serve and VERY small servings. Near my daughters house, will have to find a better spot or that I've cream for the ride home!!

Was just a lovely farm! Very walkable size for the blueberry picking, flower picking(although i wish they had more sunflowers in bloom). The hayride looked adorable... we were bummed that it's only for weekends. Their picnic tables are well laid out, and the path to blueberries, strawberries has stone walls shaded by trees to sit along. Nice touch! A pint of blueberries was $4.50 and 2q was $16. Wish they had a 1q option too. There was a small, cute play are for kids. I'd recommend it highly as a small, walkable, well-maintained farm.

I'm not sure why they have such mediocre reviews! I have a 2 year old, and we had a fantastic experience strawberry and blueberry picking (July 2022) as well as playing on the playgrounds. I've been to a number of berry farms and this was the best one I've been to. The prices were on par for what I expected, and there was such a good variety for things to do with kids including some awesome play areas. I think some of the negative reviews are perhaps reflective of people going at peak hours, but if you can plan accordingly for this it is super enjoyable!

We hosted our daughter's 3rd birthday at Wards and the farm itself was fun, the premium tent was a bit far so guests got a little lost but we mostly had fun. I'm not recommending this place as the manager, Toni, might be the rudest individual I've ever spoken with/met. I 100% understand with Covid that people are busy and what not but we called to reserve the farm and saw there were no 2 hour spots so we rented it for 4 hours to make it easier. We very specifically stated the time we would arrive and then spoke about having our hayride 30 minutes after arrival and were told that would work. We booked from 2:30 to 6:30 and told Toni guests would come at 3 and we'd want hayride at 3:30 which was confirmed would work. Toni was agreeing to everything and took the CC to charge the deposit. On the site it does say the hayride will start at the time listed but we're talking to the manager on the phone and assumed they knew what they were talking about. I called Toni for 5 days straight the week before the event to confirm our guest list and go over details such as table sizes, what we could decorate and not, and a few other questions and she didn't call me back till Thursday(2 days prior to the event so I couldn't even order anything). She told me our hayride would leave at 230 and there's nothing that can be done. I pushed to get it to 3:30, the time we agreed and she threatened to cancel our event. My wife and I changed the time of the event so everyone got there earlier than originally posted the day before and most were able too. On the day of the event, I got an email saying call if I needed any help and when I got there, I called 5x and no response so I didn't know where to go or park to unload snacks, drinks, etc. The area was not clean, there were pizza pieces on the benches and sauce everywhere so I had to clean the previous party's mess up first and then setup my decorations. We paid for a bounce house but because of the wind it wasn't working. I had to text Toni to understand if we could use it and she came over and simply said it's unsafe and cannot be used, but if I never asked we would have had kids in there and who knows what could have happened. Toni said they'd refund this but who knows what will happen as I haven't been sent an actual bill. The worst thing that happened was she made my 3 year old daughter cry on her birthday party. We were getting on the tractor for the hayride for 3 pm since instead of the 1 hour ride we were doing the 30 minute and my wife was on the phone with family coming in from CT who were literally walking to the tend and Toni said if we're not on the tractor now she will cancel the event(time was 3:04) and yelled at my wife and I in front of our daughter. This is 1000% uncalled for and the worst customer service I've ever seen/felt. That's no way to treat the hosts who are simply trying to allow their guests to enjoy what was paid for. Toni is the sole reason I'm giving this place a bad review because she made my daughter cry during her own birthday party. I'm hoping management/ownership reads this and works with their staff on treating families with more respect and courtesy as this was very upsetting.

I got a smoothy from Wards today but it was more like a juice. It wasn't thick at all and I drank it easily in a couple minutes. It was disappointing, when I first got one of their smoothies it was thicker and had more fruit in it. The food is good so giving them another star.

Great place to bring your child and enjoy farm activities. The store is filled with great treats. We enjoyed a delicious sandwich after picking our pumpkin.

Came here this morning with my wife and two kids and we had a nice time. So much to do. Didn't have time to pick fruit but maybe sometime later. Place is so cute. The hayride was cool. Overall: A

Decent blueberries and with decent variety...I think I came when it wasn't at its best, though. There were a lot of unripened ones on the bushes and it took a while for me to get a pint down. However, the ones that I did get were rather sweet and made for good smoothies. The store inside is small but has some good stuff inside, such as Iggy's bread and store-grown produce. I haven't tried the sandwiches here but I may if I visit again. The whole farm is pretty and the playground is nice for the kids.

I took the little ones blueberry picking (solo, I need some credit here) on a hot but not humid mid-week day. We arrived early so it wasn't super crowded but people arrived en masse while we were there. I didn't find the girls working the tent where you pay for your container to be particularly friendly (I think my arrival interrupted their conversation) and when I inquired about the raspberry picking (as in, what the quality of it was), they couldn't come up with a precise answer. We passed. The blueberry picking was ample but I had to spend a lot of time finding those big juicy ones. There were a lot of small ones that were a bit tart for me. Also, I get that it is a farm but a lot of the paths between the rows of blueberries were filled with brush and I had scratches on my lower legs despite wearing proper footwear. I ended up popping the kiddos in the stroller because it just didn't feel safe for them. I checked out the farm stand and thought most of the produce was pricey - I really wanted some black raspberries! We passed on that too. The outdoor area for sitting is really nice though. I wouldn't say we won't go back because the blueberries were great but I'll probably check out some other farms first.

Three stars because the bakery items are amazing. No joke. Get everything from the muffins to the bread. But we showed up for sunflowers after having called to ask if they had any, and drove 30 minutes each way. When they of course didn't have any. So don't know why the woman on the phone blatantly lied to me.

Went here on 6/12/2016 expecting to pick strawberries. Like the another reviewer said, the hay ride was slow. I'm waiting for it now to go back. The worst part was the there were to many people and no real strawberries to pick. Not sure if I'll come back here. Edit: Asked to talk is manager at the store to discuss the lack of strawberries at the field and was told the manager had left for the day. This was at around 2:00pm. No wonder the place is so badly run.

Ward's Berry Farm needs to invest more on their Sandwich deli section. Why? Berry Farm is famous for most of their items/product, their Sadnwich(my friday lunch sandwich= Chicken Marinara sub- as good as any where one can find), lot of people are doing WFH, Berry farm is is nearer from Foxboro/Mansfield/Canton/Sharon(home town) and lot of people like myself- need food outing few times a week and it's Berry Farm to take their opportunities ...my only request/hope - top class Sandwich deli.
