Overall, I found this place to be pretty awesome. It's rustic and modern at the same time, with a striking contrast in decor that I really liked. From the outside, it's sort of hard to figure out. It's a huge warehouse - you wouldn't even know a hotel was there if you weren't looking for it. The GPS took us around in a circle and then we still had a little confusion locating the entrance in the dark. We found it though, and were warmly greeted and quickly checked in. She explained that we needed to place out room key in a slot near the room door in order for the electricity to work. My energy efficient boyfriend loved that. It appears that it controls only the lights, as the AC and wall outlets appeared to do the job while we were down in the restaurant.
The room itself was quiet and comfortable. Our room overlooked the interior of the warehouse - which was set up as a big open area with some outdoor chairs, etc. It was quirky and inventive and I didn't mind not having an outside view. Plenty outlets that you don't have to crawl on the floor to access and a mini-fridge for drinks and stuff. The room did have a couple of quirks, but nothing that would be a deal breaker for me. I didn't have cell signal in there at all, which was probably the most annoying part. I didn't find the shower to be too small, but I can see why another reviewer did - the shower arm was bent at an angle designed for a much larger shower and wouldn't point down far enough to be correct for the shower stall that was there. You sort of felt pushed up to the wall if you wanted the spray to hit you right. Finally, you definitely noticed when you put the card in the slot to get the lights to turn on. That system hummed noticeably, which didn't bother me, but it might some others.
We visited the restaurant while we were there. The service at the bar was friendly enough, but I wasn't impressed with the appetizer we ordered. The dish was described as tempura fried cheese curds. What we actually got were cheese curds with a thick heavy breading - not at all what you would think of when you think of tempura. I'd skip that dish next time. We wanted to visit the sports complex too since it was included, but we never did find an entrance to it that was unlocked. It was more curiosity than anything else, so we never went back and asked. We did ask some questions about area attractions on our way out, which were met with a friendly and helpful attitude that I really appreciated.
Overall, I think the place is nice and I'd definitely stay there again.
