Where to Eat in Southwestern Michigan | Bon Appétit

"A three-mile stretch of beach backed by a dramatic wall of dunes where visitors can hike the Mount Randall Loop (about four miles) for sweeping Lake Michigan views, lounge on an expansive sandy shore, rent canoes and kayaks, and grab food from taco trucks near the well-kept restrooms." - ByAlex Beggs

Staff at the entrance was super friendly, knowledgeable, helpful and fun. Tons of parking and the parking lots were very clean. Beautiful park. The Dunes were fun to climb. The beach was clean and busy but not overly packed. We had plenty of space to lay out. The restrooms were clean and pleasant.

Warren Dunes State Park is a perfect day trip from Chicago during the summer. The dunes themselves are breathtaking and arguably more impressive than the Indiana dunes. The beach is huge, massive, and clean, and the water is typically clear and gorgeous. The sand is soft and clean with minimal rocks. The food trucks are decent but not terribly overpriced - great for a quick bite. The facilities are clean and well maintained. Only criticism is the gift shop is quite overpriced, but that’s not surprising. We love making an early drive from Chicago, going to the beach for a few hours here, then checking out the local shops and restaurants around Three Oaks and New Buffalo.

What is not to love about Warren Dunes State Park!?! Beautiful beach, fantastic hiking. The campground is neat and quiet. We stayed in the Hemlock mini cabin. Well maintained and clean. The beds were comfortable. Gorgeous sunset at the beach.

We had a great weekend camping with family at Warren Dunes! The campground is close to the beach, the campsites are a good size, and the bathrooms were clean! The only suggestion that I have is that because the line to get back in once you leave can get quite lengthy and cut into your time at the campground once you've already registered and have an orange placard, it would make sense to let those campers go in the very right hand lane to quickly get back into the park instead of making them wait in a very long line to reenter. Thank you!

This is one of my favorite day-trips I have ever found. The beach is HUGE and the water is clean. If you like beaches and are in the Midwest, this should be a destination 👌🏼👍🏼 We showed up at 11am and found a space closer to the lake. As we left around 4, there was a longer lineup of cars than in the morning. This place can hold everyone though! A huge dune to run or slide down and some clay pits in the woods are nice features too 👌🏼

We regularly drive an hour away from home just to come here every summer. Multiple times a summer. The beach is pristine. Clean and soft. AND, there's the best little ice cream shop across the street that we go to every time we come out, too!

There is a beautiful lake view and beach here. The beach is clean and has no seaweed. The sand is terrific, and walking barefoot is comfortable and calm. There is a food truck on the beach where you can buy food, and the price is acceptable. The things in the gift shop are more expensive. Today is Saturday, and there is no admission fee.

This beach was so much fun! I went with a couple of friends a few days ago and we were nervous it would be packed, but there was so much space to swim around and swim and was not crowded at all which was rlly nice! Th water was so warm and you could swim out really far cause it was so shallow for a while! I will defiantly be going again sometime! But if you dont have a Michigan license plate, it costs 11 dollars to get in, I'm not sure how much it is if you do have a Michigan license plate! Also there is a huge hill that you can run up and down!Defiantly recommend going there if your in the area!!
