My husband and I just tried this restaurant today and we absolutely loved it. The wooden design is phenomenal and it blew us away. We loved how open it was as well and the fact that it had outdoor seating, too.
The few pieces of artwork that I saw were amazing. It could definitely use more! I really liked the mermaid and bird themes.
My husband ordered Warren's Four Corners and I ordered Danny's Fish and Chips. He thoroughly enjoyed his meal and didn't leave any leftovers! My meal was hands down, the best fish and chip I've ever had. It was lightly cooked, not oozing in oil, and the fish was so fresh! Even the tartar sauce and coleslaw were delicious.
When it comes to the food, I absolutely cannot wait until we can try it again!
However, the service definitely needs work. When we first walked in, we could see open seating outside and the vast majority of the inside was empty, especially by the windows. We asked the server if we could sit outside and he stated it was all reserved. So my husband asked if we could sit by the windows inside, and he stated that they were also reserved.
Well, we sat for over an hour and not a single person came to sit by the 6+ tables next to the windows. That was extremely disappointing.
Our waitress also didn't walk up to us for about 15 minutes. We were starting to get confused because there seemed to be an abundance of staff running around and it wasn't busy at all. She was polite, but so rushed it almost seemed like she didn't want to be there and was purposely hiding in the back to keep away from customers. She also would be gone for long periods of time in between the usual server checkups, so we got worried when it came time to pay. It wouldn't be the first time we had to track down another server to pay our check because ours disappeared.
We were also never given the basket of breads or chips everyone else had.
I understand everyone has bad days, so I'm willing to give the service another chance. If we get two bad visits though... my five stars will shrink to one.
Your experience might differ. It's worth a try here for the food itself.
