My wife is a “shopaholic” and her store is Bloomingdale’s “mother ship,” located at 59th and Lexington Ave. It shouldn’t be a total loss, the boutique shops on Madison also draw her East from the Warwick Hotel on 54th St. at 6th Avenue. Cutting to the chase, the Warwick Hotel is in the center of everything, but away from the hustle and bustle of the midtown hotels. It’s close to Central Park and Columbus Circle and the Theatre District (less than ten blocks away). In addition, the MOMA is just across the street and there are a bevy of top-rated restaurants within easy walking distance.||The Warwick is a fine old-line hotel that has been around for years and is the choice of many movie and television stars. The rooms are large and well appointed. While the bathrooms tend to be small, they are all marble and the main mirror as well as the makeup mirror have plenty of light. There are up-scale toiletries and hair dryers there. The bathroom size is more than made-up by large walk-in closets with plenty of hangers with either clips or bars for dresses, suits and pants. There is also great shelving in each closet and a safe. In addition, each night table has three deep drawers and there are additional drawers in the combination dresser and bar refrigerator. ||I thoroughly enjoyed my morning coffee (Starbuck’s) brewed in the automatic coffee maker before we headed out for our day’s activities. A night-time cocktail in the club/bar after dinner and a show was a wonderful way to wind down and finish our fun-filled days in “the City.” The hotel fare is quite reasonable given its location and the staff is extremely knowledgeable and accommodating. We have made the Warwick our “go to” hotel when we travel to New York and heartily recommend it to you.

We stayed here while on vacation to NYC. It was a very nice hotel. Has ice machines, people that take your bags to your room, and good views of the city(mainly other buildings). Just be aware this is an older hotel and a bit less on the technology side(not as much technology as newer hotels). The elevators are fast but the doors are slow when they open and close. I really recommend this hotel to others.

My husband and I were here eight nights for sightseeing and to attend Broadway shows. We couldn't have chosen a better hotel. ||The staff are genuinely happy and friendly, and I felt they were authentic. ||Robert as a concierge was my standout for helping me to choose which shows to see, and his advice was perfect!||The room was large and comfortable with a beautiful bed and linens. For eight nights, with a lot of luggage from our cruise, we were afraid some Manhattan hotel rooms may have been too small, but not this one. We had a City View room on 26th, with plenty of hanging space, drawers, shelves, all conveniences, and could very happily live there without feeling cramped.||The location was perfect. We caught Subway 7 a lot with the 57th Street station just two short blocks away. The cross town busses were also handy at 50th. I found a nail salon, a supermarket and other practical places within one block. ||We will definitely make this our hotel of choice in Manahattan, at reasonable prices too.

I always enjoy my stay here. The entire staff is welcoming and helpful. From the doorman, concierge and anyone in between. I get upgrades and they already have it planned when I arrive. I don't have to remind or request it. And after a long travel - it's nice to have everything handled. The gentlemen who checked me in and out this stay was top notch. The rooms are large and spotless. I stayed in the signature suite this time and the room was enormous and quaint. The location offers tons of restaurants near by which is a plus. I went to Randolph's for a drink one night and mural this morning for breakfast. It may not be the most modern hotel- but you cannot beat the service and cleanliness.

We stayed at Warwick New York and were very pleased with our experience. The room was clean and cozy, with everything we needed for a comfortable stay. We stayed on the 5th floor, and the window faced a wall of the neighboring building — not the most scenic view, but it didn’t bother us at all, as we spent most of our time out exploring the city. The staff were friendly, attentive, and always ready to help. The hotel's location is excellent — right in the heart of Manhattan, close to Central Park, Times Square, and many other iconic spots. Warwick New York left a very positive impression. A great choice for anyone looking for a combination of comfort, style, and a prime location.

Location is excellent. Personnel are very responsive and Customer oriented. Special thanks to overnight manager Shawn McAllister who was able resolve problem with our room quickly and in a most customer-oriented way. This hotel is really great for the price.

A well placed and comfortable hotel, with the added bonus of a coffee machine - rare in NY hotels! Easy walk to most of the sights. Taxi rank nearby. Supermarket round the corner with several places to eat too.|Staff were efficient and friendly.|Would definitely stay there again.

It’s a great location, walking distance to everything in midtown! Rooms are very basic and old, so if you are OK with old world charm, you will be fine. Clean, nice cleaning staff and noise is what you would expect in NYC. However, I was extremely disappointed by the Porter on our way out. We have spent almost two weeks in the hotel, so we had a lot of luggage; so we had a big car coming in to pick us up, and right in front of our car a lady drives in and the porter lets her park the car, go in to do her check in, etc… leaving the car literally in front blocking the drop off area… He just said, “don’t worry I’ll be right back…” so by the time we got 4 big luggages and 4 small, backpacks and bags in… with honking and all because there was no space - he still didn’t come back from “helping” the American lady with her carry on and 2 bags! Clearly tourists are not important. We stay in Warwick every year and every year we get someone with this kind of attitude! Front door is a drop off area, especially when you see the street completely full! Some criteria would be helpful

Amazing stay at Warwick! Warm welcome from Reception staff . Concierge was most generous with his assistance . Adam, doorman, was most helpful ! Housekeeping was prompt and efficient .. we loved our stay at the Randolph Suite!! Thank you Mr. Fabian . EVERYTHING WAS MORE THAN PERFECT !

I've never stayed somewhere where the STAFF are so bothersome! Random phone calls from housekeeping and knocks on the door despite having the privacy sign on the door. I could begrudgingly set aside the dirtiness (hair shavings in the bathroom & huge carpet stains) because of the cheap rate, but I want to be able to rest in peace, especially if there's a sign on the door. I have seizures triggered by sleep deprivation, so unexpected calls and door knocks while I'm sleeping was not appreciated. Front desk staff seemed completely surprised that someone could be upset by this experience, so I guess this is just a really low service hotel. Not a big deal, but also no conditioner or qtips. Manager said there should've been conditioner, so the room wasn't even serviced properly for my check-in. Total shit show. I didn't even receive an apology for being woken up and disturbed so many times. I ended up going across the street to the Hilton where the room was actually clean & they respected my privacy sign.

As others have mentioned, the Warwick is a lovely hotel that needs an upgrade. Staff are nice and helpful. I had a room on the 26th floor in the corner. Windows were high and no view, which was fine. A section of the hallway is very narrow but I was fine. Room was a little musty, but big & clean, and the a/c was a bit loud. Appreciated bottled water and coffee maker. Refrigerator in room too. They don't provide much for toiletries- just soap & lotion. Was satisfied with my stay and would come back again.

The most comfortable sleep pillows EVER!! Comfy beds, decent-sized rooms... this is a nice, affordable hotel near Times Square. The bathroom counter is a bit cramped and the elevator is a tad slow running, but if you can overlook those couple of flaws, this is a hotel that's worth booking for the price and walking proximity to many subway departure points.

Great hotel! Value-priced classic building just one block from 5th, close to everything. Spacious rooms with all the amenities, nicely updated with thoroughly modern bathrooms. Staff are exceptional. Elevators are small, but encourage healthy eating with moderate portions!

Room was clean (saw other reviews that said theirs wasn't). The staff is friendly and nice. Our do not disturb sign was respected. The location cannot be beat. We were steps away from many of the things we wanted to do, which is incredibly helpful in the summer time. We were able to cool off a bit in our room between outings without having to travel a bunch back to the room. Cannot stress how good the location is. Rooms were comfy, air conditioned and the shower has decent water pressure.

Disappointed. Booked a "Premier" King room. I'm not sure what made it "Premier" since it faced a brick wall, had a broken lamp and was right next to the elevators so we heard all of that throughout the night. I had joined their Journey's program thinking that would give some preferred room placement but was told very matter-of-factly by the front desk that this was not the case. There was no ice bucket in our room and we were on a floor with no ice maker so needed to wait for the very busy elevator to go and get ice. My sister had better luck at another hotel in midtown which was cheaper, had better amenities and a more cordial front desk. Probably won't be back.

We stayed here for two weeks almost. Very friendly staff who offered excellent service. The gym is very clean and has all the necessary equipments. The rooms are very clean. The cleaners came on time. The water was hot.

Except for the ridiculously high resort fees, FOR WHICH YOU GET ABSOLUTELY NOTHING, I would have given this hotel a five-star rating. The staff were friendly and efficient. Our room was clean, quiet, and comfortable. The hotel's location is terrific. But charging guests sixty-some dollars just because you are greedy is obnoxious and unnecessary. It left me feeling ripped off and, thus, less inclined to stay here again or to recommend the property to others.

Wow, Just Fantastic we just Loved New York City! It's so nice to wake up in the morning and go exploring all that this beautiful city has to offer.

Very disappointed in this hotel. Photos of rooms looked warm and inviting and classic New York which I love. Paid for Premier room with city view and ended up in a room facing wall of windows on other side of hotel. If you leaned waaay to the right you could catch a glimpse of the city. Another Yelp review said all of the rooms ending in 10 or 19 were partial views...my room was 1910! (Unfortunately read that review after I was there.) PARTIAL VIEW SHOULD BE SPECIFIED IN BOOKING PROCESS WITH A LOWER RATE!!!!!! After 7 different taxes and fees added, our dark and gloomy room averaged up to $475 per night. I must say the room was very nice and clean, comfortable beds and a little larger than most rooms in NYC. I will never stay here again, since I feel I was taken advantage of and that is not a feeling I enjoy. Such a shame because the location is excellent.

Staying at the Warwick Hotel now. A word of warning: When I booked the room, I said I needed a room for three people (2 adults + 1 kid) and was given several rooms to choose from. I selected one and upon arrival found that it only sleeps 2. The concierge says that they don't take into consideration the # of people when you book a room. So in order for us to all sleep comfortably, I have to pay an extra fee for a rollaway bed. I've booked many a hotel. When I say I need a room for 3 people, I get a room that sleeps 3 people. Not one for 2 that *surprise* you now have to pay an extra fee for the 3rd person. Feels like a real bait and switch. Very disappointing!

Internet speed is awful, can't do work or watch a movie. There are just a few elevators and it takes forever for them to arrive.

Really enjoyed my 3 day stay here. Hope to stay again longer next time. Close to Central Park. Larger very clean rooms. Temp control in room. Great staff. I had zero problems with elevator times, my room was well stocked / replenished everyday. Room had a hidden mini fridge under tv so that was nice. Ice machine not working on my floor was the only minor inconvenience. Had to go up a couple floors but it was fast.

We had a great stay the suite was just gorgeous and property is in the most perfect spot in the city. I loved the close proximity to both theaters and central park . Very nice

We booked our room months in advance and I constantly checked the reviews on the Warwick. Based on the last few months of reviews, I was quite worried about bringing my family here for a 5-night stay. Any stress or worry that I had about room quality or the condition of the hotel were gone immediately after check-in. We stayed in a suite and really enjoyed all of the amenities. The rooms were large in size, the beds were extremely comfortable, and the views really gave us a bird's eye view of the city from the 19th floor. The hotel staff was extremely helpful. The doormen provided some great tips on places to eat- check out Shawarma Bay (skip the lines and the hype for the Halal Guys) and arranged for a large cab to get us back to JFK. The absolute star staff member was our housekeeper, Dorjee, on the 19th floor. She was always so kind as we left in the morning, asking us about our plans and checking in on our needs for the room. She made us feel so welcome during our stay and I am grateful for her sincerity. As for location, you couldn't ask for a better spot. We walked all over town, but made several trips to Central Park and Time Square (both a ten minute walk). Rockefeller Center was a five minute walk and we walked to our Broadway show (15 minutes). When we come back to New York, I look forward to a return stay to the Warwick!

Unfortunately not impressed at all. We were excited to stay here as we had spent a decent amount and even upgraded to a suite. When we walked in we were super bummed that our corner suite faced brick walls that let in absolutely no light and had absolutely zero views. The room was dated and yellow. There was a tiny mini fridge on the floor. We were charged per night to use a cot in the suite. I cannot emphasize enough that this room felt like a pitch-black basement and did not live up to our starry NYC hotel suite fantasies. And maybe worst of all, I was definitely bitten by bugs both nights we stayed. The first night it happened I prayed maybe I had been attacked by a mosquito during the day, but after the second night when I woke up with more bites I had to concede it was from the bed. The pros were wonderful housekeeping service and great bartenders at the hotel bar. Location was good. And if you like to sleep like you're dead in a coffin, this hotel will allow you to sleep in without being disturbed by a single ray of sunlight or car horn. Definitely would not stay again

I've never been to a hotel that didn't have bars of soap in the rooms. It wasn't easy to get them sent up, too. I asked at the front desk, but nothing. And then called, 2 hours later they arrived. Super slow elevators, and they were always full. They needed to bleach their sheets, too; on the second and third day, the supposedly fresh towels and sheets had a distinct odor that was unsettling during monkeypox and post-pandemic. Our Sunday check-in went well. A nice woman named Vilma helped us. I was lacking cash but wished I had given her a tip.

NYC is trying to come back ... but it's not quite there yet. Despite that, this spot was as crowded as could be ... full of tourists, likely due to the ease of getting around midtown and the proximity to Central Park and Times Square. Like other hotels, a Bullshit $32 "Resort Fee" is charged ... for basically nothing. It is just a way to make the room seem cheaper initially. I'm tempted to knock down to 3 stars just for this. Given the lack of staff and service especially! Check-in was a nightmare. I was told that no early check-in would be allowed ... 3 p.m. only. My room was ready at 3:01 p.m. ... not sooner despite my 11 a.m. arrival. I checked my bags and walked around the city waiting. The front desk staff I would call disengaged or aloof. It certainly isn't 5 star service! I walked past the doorman with hands full of luggage and nobody offered to help me. Front desk staff was very snippy and rude when I called on the phone. When I showed up, it was not a warm welcome, rather they seemed to be going through the motions. There were 3 small elevators which made for a frustrating situation as each time I rode in an elevator, it was crowded with unmasked people. Masks are required in the lobby although nobody checks this. The lobby is small and has only a few seats in a small area and no restroom ... you have to ask for a card and go up a few flights of stairs. The room I booked was a standard room. I was pleasantly surprised by the size of the room. Maybe I was upgraded but my room had a hallway with a big closet. I'd say maybe 350 sq. feet ... big for NYC standards. It was decorated sparsely but classy and clean. Nice medium soft bed and pillows. Shitty shower with low water pressure, warm vs. hot water and combined tub/shower unit. Plenty of space to spread out and a tasteful, classy decor and colour scheme. There are lots of hotels in midtown but The Warwick has good rates for a non-fleabag type of hotel. My options were to spend $60 more for The Algonquin ... same price for Accor Midtown ... or $50 more for Bryant Park Hotel. The Warwick was the oldest and most classic/old school of the 3, which I enjoy. It's across the street from The Waldorf Astoria and there is plenty open nearby during the day. Know that midtown's office workers doing remote days has shut down a lot of businessness/restaurants/etc. From a value standpoint, I'd say that despite the asanine resort fee, things are pretty good given the location and the comfort of the rooms. I'd call this a 3-3.5 star hotel. The restaurant/bar is nice but closes a bit early. No frills here ... the staff is small and disengaged. You'll be lucky to get a 'hello' when you check in. However, you could do much worse in NYC. I prefer 5-star hotels but prices are insane in NYC now for 5-star hotels, so this stood in nicely on a business trip. Pro tip: Parking garage near the hotel on spothero app was only $56 for 48 hours. Way cheaper than valet and they likely use this lot for valet anyways. No in and out for valet anyways.

This place is in an absolutely perfect location. Middle of everything, gorgeous part of town, a quick walk to Central Park, Times Square, Rockefeller center, 5th Ave., etc. A coffee shop is just around the corner, although they have a nice coffee maker in the room as well. We got a junior suite, which anywhere else would have been just a large room, but for NY standards, this is a plentiful abode. Between the bed and the pullout couch in the bed position there isn't much room, but there is a nice walk in closet, so storage space isn't a huge issue. Plus, all junior suites have a view of 6th ave. The room layout was s little weird. There were two refrigerators in a weird space that seemed improperly used. I wish it would have been used as an extra sitting area. I was pleasantly surprised how much cheaper this hotel was than nearby options. I was hoping they would have water at the hotel, which they don't, but there is water at the gym of the hotel if you need to refill your bottle. Overall, the hotel has a nice vintage vibe, which is what it's going for. Don't expect Hilton-esque amenities and modernities, the lobby is small but cute, and the bar looked great. Would definitely stay here again but will come more prepared next time with water and snacks for the kids, since the hotel doesn't sell or provide anything extra. This is classic a New York hotel, and it's got some eerie vibes, but that's a story for another time...

We used the Warwick for our wedding room block. After a few weeks, we noticed that our block wasn't filled up. It turned out that the room rate they booked our room at was a 30% _PREMIUM_ over the published website rate. We tracked down all of the relevant confirmation numbers of those that booked outside the block, but they still made it a massive hassle to meet our minimum. We tried to add suites for our family to increase our block utilization and they simply did not respond... for weeks. Eventually we booked the suites on their website, which they refused to include in the block utilization. At one point they swore off our block entirely and forwarded us to their legal department. The hotel itself is better than a motel if you like small rooms designed in the early 1990s. Our wedding suite, Suite of the Stars, smelled like someone's grandmother and clearly hadn't had a refresh in at least two decades. There is some stipulation in their union that doesn't allow them to provide room service, liquor, or anything related even if you are there for your wedding. We Drizlied some refreshments and received a fiery email from our representative demanding that we vow that we were not putting on an event, reminding us that there would be additional fees if we were. The Warwick staff were provided with welcome bags to distribute to our guests. At the end of the wedding, we realized that they had withheld 20 bags for some inexplicable reason, including from my own mother. They then showed their true colors by blaming it on my wedding planner, who had written records proving it was the Warwick's mistake. This hotel created the low light of our wedding. I hear the Beatles and some other stars stayed at this hotel in the 60s and it's clear that they've ridden that fame ever since, not putting an ounce of thought into hospitality.

The Warwick is a beautiful old building built by William Randolph Hearst...the lobby and public areas are just gorgeous! Our room was nice, not wonderful...it seemed like it could use a little TLC. The air conditioner made a strange whining noise for about twenty seconds each time it turned on and for some reason the lights above the bed came on sporadically throughout the night as we slept. Additionally, the first night of our stay the coffee maker turned on in the middle of the night, spewing hot water all over the dresser and floor. Lights turning on over our bed several times during the night and the coffee maker turning on as well...strange occurrences for sure! The hotel is well located in Midtown Manhattan, not far from Central Park and subway stations. Service at the hotel is friendly at the front desk and bell desk. The price for the room was very reasonable as well. All in all we'll probably stay at the Warwick again...hopefully in a room without a whining air conditioner, lights that stay off at night and a coffee maker without a mind of its own.

I've been staying at the Warwick for three nights now and I have to say I'm very unimpressed. This is a very old hotel and it shows. When we first arrived we were told 1 out of 2 rooms were not ready yet so we waited for over an hour to then be given our room which had soaking wet carpet. The hotel elevators are so small you can barely fire 4-5 people in them at a time. Also the shower in our room continually would flood anytime anyone would shower because the curtain was not installed properly. We had paid extra money for a view and were given the side of building. The hotel bar was alright we had a lot of family staying in the hotel so when we would meet in the bar the staff would take one order at a time then get that drink and then do that over and over. Overall very unimpressed for what you're paying to stay here and I would not be coming back here anytime soon unless they made some upgrades.

Booked a corner unit suite avenue facing the avenue thinking I was going to enjoy a clean 4 star hotel during our stay in NYC....wrong! This hotel had German roaches (aka the bad kind that can travel back to your own home with you). I informed the front desk and showed him photos and he assured me that this was a water bug and that the property did not have roaches. After doing my research I found out that was a lie. I called the manager after I left who told me that for my inconvenience during my stay they will upgrade me to a better room if I choose to return. I informed him that I already paid over 2k for 4 nights in a suite that was roach infested. Why would I return there? Now I'm paranoid that these nasty bugs could have gotten in my suitcase and returned home with me. I def would not recommend staying in this hotel if you are a germaphobe or afraid of bugs like myself.

Let's talk a bout costumer service and accommodation !! As a working adult I know we need to follow the rules and regulation of the institute we are working at, but there is something called humanity, and human kinds!! I will flip in the air to accommodate my costumer needs, while still respect and follow my work value and rules!! This is not the case in this hotel! The front desk lady think she run the whole show, with her long nails on the computer, not even keeping an eye contact with the costumer!!!! I took some picture to share the cleanliness of this hotel!! I would ignore the nasty room that we stayed in, if the front desk costumer service was better !!!!!!

Very old and rooms are not well kept. Good thing for for it is it's location to mid town.

The absolute worst hotel experience of my life. Came for an event and 1. first we checked in, got keys, went to the room only to find a sleeping man in the bed. Finally got another room. 2. Then I just was woken up by the cleaning lady who knocked and then entered without being invited and asked if I was ready to have the room cleaned at 9am (?????). 3. Went to shower and the doorknob came off 4. There's someone else's hair still in the shower What a poor experience.

I had a little trouble checking in at first. The lady at the front desk was rushing our check in. The first red flag was that she rang the card without verifying the amount. We made reservations online with one amount, but she was billing us for more. When I inquired about it, she stated that there is a $100 (per night) deposit. I do not care that it is a deposit that later gets returned to you, but NOBODY SHOULD BE RINGING YOUR CARD CARELESSLY without telling you the amount that is being charged! Second red flag was that she assigned us a room (which we signed papers for) and gave us a totally different room key. When we got to the right room, which we had the key to, it did not open. So we were assigned a totally different room. So three different possible rooms? Anyways, we did come across a great employee... the guy working the elevators was great! I am upset that I did not get his name to give him a quick shout out!!! *** Now to the hotel itself-- The hotel is low-key and elegant. My boyfriend said that it gave him American Horror Story vibes LOL. I noticed more of an older crowd of patrons... very slow paced! The bed was kind of hard and the channels on the tv are basic. The room had the previous guest's toilet paper... I did not receive any new toilet paper until my second day. I love the location of the actual hotel as you are near everything... 5th Ave, Columbus Circle... just to name a few!

Absolutely beautiful, classy and amazing!! Stayed here for the Thanksgiving holiday and our room was above the Macy's parade route. This historical hotel is located on the corner of W 54th St and 6th Ave and is in the heart of midtown Manhattan. Now, you got to remember, this hotel was built in 1927 so while there are a lot of amazing architectural things to see, that also means three small elevators that take a while to get you where you're going. Also some cold air by the windows and doors (if you have a balcony) that can be shielded by curtains. The staff is wonderful and there is Randolph's Lounge and Murals on 54 Restaurant, who share entrances inside the Warwick lobby. The experience is worth all of it.

Beautiful older hotel in NYC. Needs a bit of updating but was more than comfortable for our needs. Maintenance was quick to make small repairs needed in our room. All staff we interacted with were super friendly and helpful. I would definitely stay again when I return to NYC. I also understand they are soon starting a complete renovation.

Only reason this hotel gets a start I because of the location. Worst hotel I have stayed at in New York out of the 5 years I have been traveling here. The room was very dark with NO view and the air conditioning for our room did not make anything cooler. And the worst part about my day of traveling from Miami to Atlanta to this hotel ( in the same day) was that my partner and I got bit by bugs in the mattress sheets! Our friend stayed 10 floors below us and they as well got bit on their neck after waking up for the next morning. After going downstairs in the morning and speaking to Joel he said he was going to send an inspection team up. We are here on a limited time to do important things that are time sensitive. This hotel is a joke and a waste of time. I would not recommend anyone to ever stay here. No one has time for inspections.

The Warwick overall was a decent stay. The location is great, the history is intriguing. However labeling it a "luxury" hotel is a stretch. It needs some updating and offers few amenities. It stated we would have a mini bar but did not. The toilet ran non stop and the shower had horrible pressure. Our last night we realized the air was not working in the room either. Restaurants on site are not open often and were quite expensive for the quantity/quality of food. Disappointed as we upgraded from a "cheaper" hotel we had stayed at on a previous trip and honestly, we most likely would not choose this hotel again. Housekeeping was definitely killing it though! Excellent in that regard.

I've stayed at this hotel more than twenty-five times on business trips to New York City and have never been disappointed with the quality of my room, its cleanliness, nor its appointments to detail. The staff is exceptional and attends to all your needs. The in-house restaurant (Murals) has outstanding food; morning, noon, and night. I love their salads and highly recommend them all, especially the Cobb salad. For breakfast, you have to try the eggs benedict as well. The Warwick is a small (as New York Hotels go) boutique hotel just off 6th (Avenue of the Americas) built about 100 years ago. It's within walking distance to ABC and CBS corporate offices. It is also within walking distance to the clothing trade center at 1290 Avenue of the Americas and Radio City Music Hall. I highly recommend this hotel if you're looking for a small warm, and friendly atmosphere close to numerous corporate offices, restaurants, and shopping, all within walking distance.

You're going to love the Warwick if: 1. You like to meet new friends waiting 10 minutes for an elevator 2. You like to feel like riding the subway at rush hour which happens the elevator finally arrives. 3. While the hotel has internet good luck in trying to get it to work. No router in the room. 4. Don't need a bar of soap as you have to ask at the front desk for it. 5. You don't need a wakeup call as the hotel does not provide any. 6 You don't need a shelf in the bathroom to put your things as the shelf is too small for anything. 7. Like to guess which towels the hotel will replace each day.

Imagine being blamed by management for being trapped in their elevator for 45 minutes....... That's all have to say.

PERFECT location. Classic rooms with high, beamed ceilings and arched entryways convey an Bogart, 1940s-kind of atmosphere. Excellent water pressure in shower. Downsides: Rooms need more outlets to charge devices (my side of the bed had none) and two lightbulbs in lamps needed replacing. The wet bar was a nice touch. The lobby bar is dark and clubby - nice place to meet for an affair (if you're so inclined).

WORST HOTEL EXPERIENCE!!! I'm Black member the highest of status for Warwick. Staff was rude, no welcome amenity, no late check out on a Sunday, no breakfast vouchers. This hotel is a dump. Unlike all the other Warwicks. The clearly don't care about this location. After this treatment I'll never stay at another Warwick hotel

Warwick is classic, sophisticated and Hollywood glamour. The service was as friendly as it could be in NYC. Not too sugary. The walls are grazed with photos of Marilyn Monroe, Frank Sinatra and all of the celebrities that have stayed there over the years. The room was beautiful and clean. On our last day, my friend went downstairs to checkout and I stayed in the room to gather my things. All of a sudden, a condensation hand print appeared on top of the glass nightstand next to me. It was not scientifically explanatory as I was the only one in the room, my hands were dry and the handprint was much smaller than mine and my friend. Warwick is definitely haunted! Thankfully that happened right as we were leaving!

For some reason, our photos of the "view" from the room disappeared. Instead of a street view, your view almost entirely is of the adjacent windows very close by, and if you crick your neck, you can see some of the street. Don't bother paying the extra for any kind of view imo.

good location, but needs a total renovation. they have bed bugs and the furniture in the rooms is falling apart.

I came back to the hotel after dinner. There was a line of 15 people waiting on one elevator. This had been going on for 3 days. As I was in line I yelled at the front desk manager, Billy and told him to do something. His response was "I am checking you out of your room now. Go find another place to stay the night !" Over whelmed, under trained and immature. Don't stay here. Bad front desk people.

I've been to New York City three times and have stayed at the historic Warwick Hotel each time. We love this hotel and can't imagine staying anywhere else! It's truly in the heart of Midtown Manhattan. No parking required, because you don't need a car. Walkable to Times Square, Central Park, countless restaurants, bars, delis, subway stations and every possible convenience. We specifically booked a Terrace room (there aren't many, but well worth the additional cost) and had a nice view looking south down 6th Avenue. The room was quite spacious - the bathroom was also sizable and very nice. Yes, there are only 3 small elevators and depending on the time of day or day of the week, there may be a wait. We were there for 9 nights and that only happened a couple times. We adore staying in such an historic hotel / building and consider every bit of it lovely and charming, even the elevators. I thought the staff was top-notch. I don't understand the other reviews stating they received rude or inadequate service - that was not our experience at all. I can't help but wonder what the reviewer's mood, attitude or expectation was like going in...I think you get what you give. Everyone from Jamaal at the front desk to doormen, housekeeping & hotel manager, Joel, were responsive and very kind throughout our stay. We can't wait to go back to NYC and when we do, we will be staying at the Warwick!

The staff is lovely. They were very professional, helpful, and friendly from the doormen to housekeeping to the front desk. Extra towels were provided upon request with no problems However, as this is touted as a 4-star hotel, I found the basic amenities to be anything but. One main outlet couldn't hold a plug, the data/power station didn't work, the iHome clock wasn't working due to a frayed AC cord that sparked when investigating why the clock wasn't working, there were food crumbs in the phone cradle, and the remote control was covered in visible dust and filth to the point that a cleaning wipe was genuinely covered with black grime. In the world of hotel hospitality now, microwaves, refrigerators, and coffee makers in each room are standard. The mini/bar was empty and not even sure it was on. The Warwick had none of these. They did, however, allow the request of a refrigerator for an additional $20 for the length of the stay (which they kindly said they would waive since I made note of the lacking amenities; I'll see upon checkout if this is honored). They did offer to switch rooms, but after seeing the visible grime I had no reason to believe that another room would be better. Giving more attention to the physical condition of the rooms, starting at more attention to details in cleanliness, working order, and amenities would be a good start. Had I been staying in a lower star-rating hotel, this might be all excusable, but since I'm not, the expectations are higher. As a result, we arranged to cut our stay shorter and check in to other accommodations.

Size of suite Updated bathroom (not enough lighting) Cons You walk in, and you wonder if the room is "clean". It's dark, yellow tone lighting makes you feel like you're in a seedy hotel. The remotes should have plastic covers for easy clean for Covid safety. Ceiling is crumbling Cracks in walls Both lounge chairs were dirty Curtains falling down Front desk staff not friendly, warm, or welcoming. Have a business as usual attitude. I put a note that we're celebrating our anniversary while reserving the room - not only did they not greet us with a "Happy Anniversary" - no note or anything in the room. No mini bottle of hand sanitizer in the room. Lobby trash bin was full and overflowing. No room service No breakfast options in hotel Smells old and moldy No robes in room Sink stopped up Can't mirror to TV - no movie I thought staying in a classic hotel would be nice, but would never stay here again. I haven't stayed in a hotel that turns me off this much since I stayed in a motel off the side of the highway. Someone said they feel that the lobby was "fancy" that was not our reaction. It is not a luxury hotel. There's nothing about it luxurious- not the sheets, not the grayed towels, nothing. I don't know how this would qualify as luxury. (No robes or slippers; cruddy shower curtains, no glass shower doors) Customer service goes a long way - it costs nothing to be warm and act as though your guests are special. I think that can cover a multitude of sins. I would advise staying at a newer more modern hotel.

Let's start with the roaches. Yup, roaches. I know it is New York and they are part of the landscape but I do not want to see them in a nicer hotel. If I am being unreasonable, then please disregard this review. I am willing to admit I might have expectations that are too high. I stayed at the Warwick in Seattle regularly. It wasn't amazing but it was clean and the people who worked there were friendly and I felt very welcome. I wanted to extend this to New York. I stayed there prior to the pandemic and had a lovely stay. This time, it was roaches. I let the front desk know and the person there seemed as horrified as I did. She sent up someone to clean the room. I saw this individual and she assured me that she had put something in the bathtub that would prevent this from happening again. And it did, for a few days. We saw another one as we were leaving for the airport. I shared this with our cabdriver, who was lovely, and he said I should let them know as this was not acceptable. I still wouldn't have written this review except when I did call the individual who answered was less than gracious about it all. He shared that this was an old hotel and these things happen. He credited me some fees and said the "thank you " like you say "thank you" when you want the other person to know that they are doing anything but "thanking you". I look forward to staying in another place during my next visit. I love New York so I look forward to my next stay. I welcome any recommendations!!

Stayed at this property last week. Sent an email directly to the GM to explain my disappointment in the condition of the room. No reply. Not particularly surprised as this hotel seems to shuttle people in and out and not needing to care about the cleanliness of their rooms. Will NOT stay there again which is unfortunate as the location is great but that's just about it.
