Appeal to the administration. What's wrong with sushi, why do they fall apart when you just touch them? Where is the Japanese music? It was as if I had arrived in Latin America; there was no atmosphere at all. And Dragon sushi disappeared, it’s a pity of course. The cook scratches his eye and continues to cook, in general there is no sense of tact. Gloves protect you, but not the client? A year ago it was so good here. Now I don’t want to go back.

Honestly the price was not bad for the quantity of 🍱 ! Sometimes you need a quick fix and Wasabi Sushi & Bento can provide that!

Restaurant prices at below taco bell quality. I've lived in Japan and besides the super thin sushi everything is NOT Japanese... maybe inspired by Japanese food but while it looks like a duck and sounds like a duck... it's really a rat. It'd be fine if it at least tasted good but it doesn't and I couldn't finish one of the non-sushi (again super thin) items. Horrible... I don't know why people would ever come back for a 2nd time...

Went in here to today during my lunch break. The food was disgusting and taste old. Staff didn’t ask if I needed help instead watch over me as If I was going to run out with something. Had the worst stomach ache of my life after visiting this place. The cashier was very professional and kind the ladies on the floor were not. I enclosed my receipt of the time and service I received, never again you have been warned !!

The location is perfect to visit after sightseeing around time Square. We were so tired and hungry at 10pm. So we didn't expect that light Japanese food at time Square. You can try sushi and soup. You will love edamame and miss soup.

Quick, tasty, friendly. I had onigiri and a sweet rice cake as a snack. Will update on hot dishes next time (they have a tofu curry I want to try.)

I loved schrimp Shumai, Kani salad, and cheese cake. Chicken was too spicy and dry. I really loved the place at the window! Watching outside the window and enjoying food was amazing. The Service person was really kind. Loved fruit gummy ❤️

Food was good, service was nice, it was all ready to go right out of the pack, really just a lovely little place to go if you want Japanese food while walking around NYC.

It's safe to say that I will not be returning. I was not impressed and found the staff to be quite rude. Had an employee push past me with no excuse me, no apology, no nothing while I was looking at the beverages. I obviously would have moved out of the way if I had saw her. The food: is okay, at least the onigiri. I've had better. I personally haven't tried anything else but my coworker seemed to like the soup.

So, on my way to pick up something in the city, I passed by this place and decided to stop and check it out. It's a pretty big spot and very airy. I loved how the place flowed. The scenery was very nice and clean. Their was plenty of space to sit comfortably. After looking around at the many varieties of meals and snacks they had to offer, I decided to get a Chicken Teriyaki Rice roll and a Chicken Katsu Curry, a can bubble tea, and another can juice. My daughter enjoyed her rice roll and bubble tea, but said she didn't like the tapioca that was used in the bubble tea. My husband and I didn't care for the curry part of our katsu chicken because we thought it had the flavor of can chef boyardee ravioli. That didn't taste well with the chicken and rice, but still, half of the meal was tasty. Overall, I would make another return because I felt like they had many delicious options of sushi, salads, drinks, snacks, and plenty of hot food. I loved how they had everything packaged and ready to go, and the customer service was good. There were people available to help me with any of my questions. So I'm giving a thumbs up. Overall is a nice spot with nice sushi. The sushi is prepackaged and fairly priced but it was not the best taste wise. The avocado did not taste fresh. The ambiance is nice and the store is extremely clean and neatly organized.

Wow. Has this place gone down in basically every area. Came in for a quick lunch recently, when this place first opened up I worked down the street. It was so fun coming by and picking up two pieces of a bunch of different sushi rolls. To start my bad experience here, apparently they don't do this anymore. Just full rolls that are over priced for a fast food sushi spot. But whatever, I walked over to the hot food area and saw they were doing a special for a $5 gyoza soup with purchase of onigiri. So I picked up two and went to pay and order the soup. I was informed that they aren't doing the soup promotion, even though the sign is out and they have the soup. That they wouldn't honor it, and that they didn't care to offer me a different soup to substitute. The person working spoke to me like I was 5, honestly the rudest customer service experience I've had in years. I was starving and already picked up some other stuff so I just paid and walked away. The tuna onigiri was rough. Bad tuna, and there was so little in it, I actually just had to laugh. For the same price I could have gotten a lunch sushi special from somewhere else and had a much better time, experience & food. Will never be back.

Needed a quick bite pre broadway show and wasabi was the perfect choice. Quick, full of options, and seating. My biggest complaint was the avocado roll looked dark but I know avocado browns quickly. The miso soup needed soy sauce but with that addition it was good enough. The seaweed rice ball and edamame were my favorite. Solid place for a quick bite! I'm sure I'll be back.

I usually don't prefer my sushi as grab and go but, at least in this instance, it really works! This is a cute little spot perfect for grabbing a quick bite to satiate yourself before running to catch a show, movie or just to go home. I got the Special California sushi roll w extra spicy mayo. Loved it! It had a nice kick that gave my lips a lil tingle. The Raven had the chicken roll. She likes it. It was okay to me but would've been much better had it been warm. Worth a visit if you are in the area

I had just arrived from the airport and prior to going home, i decided to stop by Wasabi for a quick bite. As I stated in my previous review, it is a large, clean corner space which has take out and dine in options. There is no table service. This time after looking over my options, I went for the rainbow bento box which included 8 roll pieces and the rest of the box was salmon pieces and a piece of shrimp. After ordering my food, I paid and got the necessary condiments and of course the choice of chopsticks or a fork. The staff is accommodating and the food was fresh and delicious. They also offer hot options as well. It is reasonably priced for the city and I would recommend and return

This place was a block from my job. I got the shrimp tempura/prawn roll which was amazing and very flavorful. It was pretty big pieces stuffed to the max which was worth the price point. I had the chicken Katsu and honestly was disappointed by it. Their heating lamps for their hot food aren't that strong so the chicken didn't taste fresh. It was cold and the bread crumbs were soggy, it was not crispy like you'd expect that dish to me. The sushi gets a 4 out of 5. The chicken katsu gets a 0 out of 5. Gonna try more things and come back here. I saw the back cooks cutting giant salmons and it looked very clean and fresh. No fishy smell when you enter this place. Good quality, good grab and go sushi spot. I'd recommend.

The quality of wasabi has gone down in recent years. This was my go-to spot for a quick bite of Japanese food for lunch breaks. The fridge was not cool enough which is questionable for a sushi spot. All the drinks such as soda and juices were warm. There was a sign that said you may ask for a cold drink at the counter. The rice on my sushi was falling apart and the fish on my sushi was sliced paper thin. The sauce for my katsu curry was watery without any vegetables. I'm not sure what's going on and why the quality has gone down, but it's disappointing.

Cool place with soups, salads, pike bowls, shared dishes to go, hot dishes, appetizers and more!! Very fresh a small quite tasty!

The food decent, considering it's prepackaged. Not amazing, but also not bad. It's a fast food type of atmosphere, while being a very clean environment. Service is nice enough, but impersonal.

Clean and good amount of seating inside and outside. Tables outside may get taken by people eating food from other places despite the signs that say they're only for wasabi. Oh well. The staff was good. Impressed the woman went after a man who was stealing. Good for her. Food was pretty good. Nice variety of stuff, hot and cold. The sushi looked nice and fresh. I opted for onigiri this trip. And it was great!

This is a convenient pickup location with ready-made sushi. I would usually balk at that but it works. It is set up really well and is an efficient option if you are in a rush.

Nice, clean, brightly lit place. Pre-made items nicely organized in their own sections (eg. noodles, sushi, bowls, sashimi, cones, etc), Eat in or take out, either way, their food is fresh. Nice change of lunch/snack/dinner choices from all the deep fried, heart clogging cholesterol laden fast food items.

Stopped by for a quick dinner. I like the concept of pre-made food for grab. The downside is it dries out and it's not as fresh. I didn't even realized I grabbed the spicy chicken until my last bite. It wasnt spicy at all. The chicken wasn't dry and was well coated. The onigiri had salmon it? I couldn't even tell. Whatever fish it was, it was very dry. The yuzu drink was very tasty!

This place was a really cool experience! They basically have a bunch of different entrees, bento boxes, and sushies you can pick out then purchase at the register. I had chicken and some dumplings. The chicken was very tasty but there were some weird pieces. The dumplings were amazing! This place was so fun and I would definitely come if in NYC again and try some new things!

This place is ok for a hot/cold and ready items. In my opinion is a bit over priced for what it is. The food has no behavior is dry, and they charge for sauces for your food. There is better places out there to try.

This was a convenient find since a friend wanted sushi and I wanted cooked food. The sushi was okay and the cooked food was pretty bad (definitely not worth the cost). I thought the location and vibe was cute. If I worked or lived nearby I could see me going in to do work.

The onigiri and appetizers options were cool. The rolls were an ok deal for the box but it was pretty fishy tasting for spicy tuna/salmon, and I actually felt sick after. Would not personally go back but it works on the go.

It's a quick and convenient lunch pickup place with seats. The food is ok. It's usually a bit soggy. In addition to meals, they have some snacks. Prices are ok.

For the price and convenience, this place is a great lunch option in Midtown. All the meals are pre-made, so you can grab and go. Nothing to really complain about.

Good quality Japanese food past 9pm? YAAS! It almost replicates Japanese convenience stores to quite some extent. This corner store was such a blessing after spending hours walking in Central Park and before waiting an 45 minutes for our NJTransit bus to finally come through. The salmon onigiri was pretty good. If I were a little more hungry, I would've gone for the salmon & rice bento box and miso soup. My sister got the salmon sashimi. We shared a Tea's Tea Oi Ocha. Very satisfying, especially since we came around 9:25pm and everywhere else closes early on Sunday evenings. Lots of options food, drink, and snack options. I highly recommend as a quick pit stop shop in midtown to satisfy cravings. It's one of my favorite quick spots in NYC.

I never had such dry teriyaki chicken with barely any sauce. $13 for chicken teriyaki with rice and cucumber. The place was closing but they wouldn't discount. I asked the worker why not and if they donate the food (which was no). What a waste of money and food.

Pretty average Japanese take out food. It's good if you're in a rush and want something quick.

Sushi on the go! If you are craving for Sushi and wants it now this the place to go! Location: it is located in 7th avenue,and there is a great display of sushi, hot foods and desserts! Very advisable to go here after watching broadway such as Alladin. Service: the server was nice! It was busy so she tries to give her best! Food: Sushi is great there is wide variety, I love the salmon and tuna. And it is $1.25 per piece! The poke salad bowl was okay, not a fan, i think it is better if there is a sauce with it. Price rating: 5 out of 10. It is so cheap! I will definitely come back if I am craving for sushi! They are good and fresh!

This is legit the most convenient Carryout for food. I was making it four stars but couldn't rationalize the dock of one star. They have cold section of salad, sushi, Poke, sashimi etc to katsu, tofu, soups to drinks and snacks. Their chicken katsu comes with this yummy spicy gravy which makes the dish. I picked it up and took it home and heated it. Def would like again The shrimp shumai in a salad cup is less than $5 and a good healthy snack. Their sushi was fresh and I appreciated the preparation of it all. They have some unique Pocky selections - my new fave being the almond covered one. They also have some unique drink options which I'll check out next time.

The food looked decent enough. Pretty expensive however when you realize the quality after purchase. Its premade sushi so you can't expect melt in your mouth perfection, but this price isn't cheap enough to justify the fact that the fish on top of the rice was paper thin, and the rolls weren't really packed. On top of that, nickel and dimed for sauces which were barely filled. Ultimately not bad. But not great either. I won't be back however as a I feel it was overpriced and just okay. I should Have known better. Might be worth it if you have a sushi craving and everything is closed and need something quick.

You need to find a perfect window to go if you want fresh and not suspicious tasting sushi.

Not good in countless ways. Popped in for super fast food. Big mistake. Poorly cooked sushi rice, spicy tuna sushi roll that was just not good, and the place is not clean. I should have walked out. And pricey too for what it is. There are so many better options. I am not a fan of the restaurant fail, but there is no other way to describe this sad experience.

Wasabi Sushi & Bento has slowly become my husband's and mine guilty pleasure before we go see a show in the city. Although it looks like a brightly lit fish bowl, I have come to think of it as an edible aquarium, made to order. Upon walking in, I always make an appoint to start from the far left scanning the shelves of already made deliciously made onigiri, sushi rolls, sashimi, kani salads, and other treats. I usually end up with two to three items in my hands as I shuffle from left to right and then from right to left because my eyes are bigger than my stomach. Staples: Chicken teriyaki onigiri; tuna or salmon poke bowl with the works Honestly, this is really perfect for on the go, and it's always extremely fresh every time we've had it. Considering other fast food options in the area, this gives you a little piece of mind that you're eating healthier too!

My colleagues and I ate lunch from here before a work meeting. I wasn't particularly looking to eat here but it was in the area and was open to trying it out. From the looks of it, Wasabi specializes in sushi and bento boxes. I decided to play it safe/basic and get a chicken teriyaki bowl which (in addition to the chicken) came with white rice and a small salad with edamame. The chicken was a nice portion but I was looking for more flavor. The portion size for the whole bowl itself was definitely adequate (kind of bigger than expected actually); everything really balanced each other out. Overall, just okay. There isn't anything that stands out for me but the food isn't terrible. It's good for a quick lunch on the go.

A must stop if you are in the mood for some quick sushi or a bite. Fresh, happy, and easy, this is a great stop especially if you are on your way to or from Port Authority. It is a little pricey, but I got to say, its worth it. You have the ability to customize your sushi experience or choose a pre made arrangement. They are extremely helpful at the counter and can answer any questions or give suggestions. And its FRESH! Friends, hope on over and get some bites. Also, their miso soup - YES! It has great flavor and it doesnt bother me that is $3+ when most places are $1.50. It doesnt taste like water so its worth the extra laundry quarters. Visit today!

Was looking for a place that had a decent and quick soup since my go-to fave Itsu is closed. I ordered a small chicken gyoza soup. It was overall good and had a great flavor. The thin rice noodles in the soup were ok but I feel the overall flavors and textures of the soup would have been complimented with a different type of noodle. Maybe a rice noodle like a pho noodle? It was a decent soup but didn't compare to what I was looking for (Itsu's soup). Took off a star because I bit into two separate lemon slices, lemon skin and all. I get that lemon is part of the recipe but I really don't need it taking up space in the soup...nor do I want to bite into it. Took off another star because I had intended to get sushi too but the limited selection looked like it had been sitting out all day. I understand that with covid, sales are slower but it seems messed up to sell sushi & bento boxes that have been sitting out all day. Because of the environment with covid, I feel they should consider making items fresh. Would probably cut back on food waste too. Would go back if I was starving, my soup was still very good but I wouldn't go out of my way for it like I do for other places.

This is the place to be whenever you're in the Midtown area and in need of a quick sushi fix. The place is often packed with people grabbing a quick lunch during office lunch hours, but the lines here move quickly. On my first ever visit here, I saw that they offered a variety of udon noodle, sushi rolls, rice dishes and many sorts of Japanese goodies. I settled for the spicy chicken teriyaki with white rice, a bed of salad and 2 spicy tuna rolls. The sweet teriyaki sauce went well with the chicken and the lima bean salad added a nice crunchy texture to the overall dish. The spicy tuna rolls tasted like any other spicy tuna roll offered an any AYCE restaurant. Overall, I'd say hit this place up if you're ever craving sushi in the area and want the best bang for your buck. I definitely look forward to trying out their other offerings.

The service is abysmal, and if you ask for more soy sauce, it's as if they get paid by how many soy sauces they can save the company! I got ONE extra little packet of soy when I asked for more soy! And your lucky if you can find someone to even ring you up at the counter.

We had high hopes for this place as it was brightly lit and clean in comparison to other locations. The options were neatly piled on the left side of the stop and although it seemed plentiful, there was limited choices. The meals seemed to be just smaller or larger version of each other and didn't appear fresh. Judging from the brown color of the avocado, it wasn't made recently. The rice was hard and the fish tasted bland. Although there were different rolls, everything tasted the same--like nothing. Considering it was NYC, it was expected to be expensive but incredibly too high for low quality rice and fish. It was a great disappointment and it didn't do sushi justice.

The concept of this place is great: sushi for people on the go. The place is bright and welcoming. There are tables with outlets, which is a must have for travelers passing through Penn. There are so many options. You can pay for different individual sushi, wrapped in their own little wrapping, or you can opt for whole boxes of sushi. However, I couldn't find the sushi box combo I wanted so I ended up going for hot food. I thought I was getting beef on with rice. But the food was place under the wrong sign and I ended up with beef on udon. The way it's packaged all you can see is veggies and beef on top so I didn't know until I sat down. The udon was mushy and overcooked. The beef was a little overcooked. But the flavor was good. Overall the meal tasted cheap. Which was upsetting, because it was actually very expensive. I just bought expensive Japanese fast food. It was disappointing. Perhaps I would have like the rice bowl better. The udon really was the worst part of the bowl. I also ordered hot chicken gyoza but the inside wasn't that hot. It was room temperature on the outside at best. The gyoza was still better than the bowl. Overall I didn't enjoy the hot food. I might come back to try the sushi, so I can get a full review. Who knows, maybe hot food just isn't their thing. But I won't be spending that much here ever again. I have adjusted my expectations. The concept of this place is great but the execution was lazy. Best part of this meal was going next door to get a shake shack milkshake.

Not a fan of this place. I had the chicken teriyaki and the spicy salmon roll. It felt like a a fast food sushi place and essentially it was exactly that. You walk in, you search through hot and cold entrees. However, there are many options and I did like that they had pocky. The food: It was average. I was not impressed with flavor or price. They did have a bathroom. The only reason I went here was because it was fast and cheaper than any other restaurant in the area, plus I was hungry (as usual). I would not go here again.

They have improved in the two years since my last visit. The inventory was well-stocked, and Wasabi Sushi & Bento understands the benefits of modular choices so you don't have to place an all-or-nothing bet. I got the tuna set which was decent overall. I'm not exactly sure what everything was but the best item was the partially cooked fish.

tried here for lunch, pretty large selection between hot and cold item and candy. I got a box of sushi and a chicken origari. I found the sushi okay in taste and favor, but honestly I had better fresher sushi like at market 32 and shoprite. For its price it was not worth it, but hey cheaper then going to a actual sushi restaurant rather then a grab and go spot. the chicken origari was pretty good and had a good ratio of meat and rice, flavor was okay, could not really taste the teriyaki flavor, plus the meat itself was mushed into a paste like mixture, that was similar to tuna salad really.

We stopped in to get a snack, but ended up getting 2 edamame, 1 Waksman salad and 2 salmon and tobiko nigiri sushi. Everything is fresh and pretty good. Lots of people come in to pick up and take out. There is seating, but not a lot of tables to sit at. during peak hours. A recommendation would be for the staff to wipe up the tables more often. This is why I didn't give it a 5 * rating.

This place was better than I expected! Needed a quick lunch and decided upon Wasabi since all the other eateries in the area were way too crowded. The selection here is fantastic with lots of sushi, bowl, salad and hot entree items. I ended up trying the Teriyaki Salmon Bowl ($10.50), which was super tasty! Overall, the quality and selection of the food here was great and everything tastes super fresh! The only downside is that everything's pretty pricey here

I've been here about 5 times now and it's always delicious. I get something that requires prep (see picture) and sometimes they forget to make it until I ask or it takes a very long time, hence the 4 star review. If you're visiting times square or looking for a cheap meal, I recommend Wasabi.

$11ish for 3 onigiris. Definitely more expensive than at Mitsuwa but this is the city. I wish there was more filling in these. This place does have a large selection of choices that range from rice dishes, noodles to sushi. Great for a quick bite.

We came in during a torrential downpour. A friendly employee assisted us with placing our wet umbrellas into plastic bags to avoid soaking the floors. We chose the salmon special box and chicken curry bowl. Our meals were good, average in flavor. Plenty of seating, clean environment. Overpriced for portion size

I stopped by here for a quick dinner before catching a bus from Port Authority to Boston. Maybe I just have lower expectations when it comes to grab and go food because of where I live (Alaska; not exactly known for its great culinary variety), but I was very impressed with this place. I love the concept and setup as it reminds me of the convenience stores in Japan where you can grab a meal on the go. The interior is clean, bright, and modern. There's a decent amount of seating space, but it can get crowded so I think this place is best for takeout. I grabbed a curry chicken katsu bento box. Originally this was all I intended to get, but when I saw I could get two (individually wrapped) salmon nigiri for $3, I couldn't pass it up. I also got a matcha bubble tea. Altogether the meal was around $16 if I recall correctly. Very reasonable price for everything I bought. In Alaska, $16 would maybe get you one sushi roll, depending on where you go. I was very satisfied with everything. The curry katsu was delicious, and I like how the chicken katsu was separated from the curry sauce so it wouldn't get soggy. The salmon nigiri was surprisingly good. The fish wasn't the freshest, but much better than what I would expect for the price. The matcha bubble tea was good, but not nearly as delicious as the iced matcha latte I had at Takahachi Bakery near city hall. I wish I lived closer to a Wasabi location. Hopefully I will eventually. I would stop by there again if I wanted a good affordable meal I could take out.
