"This brew bar took over the Washington Ave. space formerly occupied by Sports Harbour, and though they’ve given it a thorough scrubbing, it’s still a spot where locals go to shout at their favorite teams on TV." - Kat Hong, James Montgomery

This place has definitely gone down since it got renovated from the old Sports Harbor establishment. With the new staff and management, this place really seems to struggle with finding its identity as a sports bar in this neighborhood in terms with what sports or teams it's loyal to despite the old customer base being there. The new bartenders also struggle to provide the same quality of service that the old crew did which also makes it hard for them to instill that sense of community that the old staff did. Other issues that currently plague them too are endless technical difficulties that make them seem disorganized but if they were much like the old or even other sports bars in the area such as Brennan's, then they would have their stuff together enough to properly work their TVs and audio system better. Another thing is despite the renovations, they still don't have a parking lot. One redeeming quality is the tap selection as well as food offerings have gotten better. So all in all, despite the better menu, the identity of this bar along with the quality of service has sharply declined. They will definitely need to work on this moving forward to survive in this neighborhood. One exception to what was said in this review is that one of their employees are the bar, Mia, does have that kind of friendly presence that really brings that place together so look for her, she's very short, about 5 feet tall, and very easy to spot.

The servers, bar tenders, and bar backs were friendly, knowledgeable and hospitable 😁

This place has potential. The issue is you can't be a sports bar with $9 beers. It's not a thing but I think the new bar manager is on top of his game and is implementing drink specials soon. The food is simple bar food with simple options. This wouldn't be a destination to get food but a place that while you're hanging out to eventually order food.

I live right down the street and wish the bar did a better job with customers. Prices for beer are high (even for the west side), and the happy hour isn’t significant enough to help. Also, service is very slow and unfriendly, and I saw many customers angry that they couldn’t get a second drink or pay their bill. The bar isn’t new anymore, so I’m not sure why there are still so many issues.

The yellow door at Washington Ale House is like walking into a pub in the 1800's served by a smiling bar keep with his back ground silhouetted by smart tv's playing all 21st century sporting events. An early soft open on the day of the NBA finals brings in a steady flow of people wondering where they will watch the game, as ESPN showed the per game header. I'll have your best beer on tap, manager and opening bartender Allen Hernandez says "Bell's beer is my favorite on tap right now." As he proofs my tongues satisfaction with a tester or in this case a teaser shot. It smells sweet and fruity with crisp smooth taste, a Glorious ring on my cheeks. Probably would go well with a burger or fish and chips. The grill mate begs to deliver satisfaction. Next time all give the menu a good browsing.

It's probably a cool place if you're 21. It was very brightly lit a lot of loud young obnoxious kids and not the greatest service. I ordered two vodka Red Bull shots and they sell roaring lion not Red Bull. Roaring lion will ruin a shot!

Overall this is a pretty well-rounded sports bar. They have an extensive selection of beers, both local and international. The overall vibe was great and there were plenty of tvs.

This is new place in Marina del Rey. They have a jaw-dropping CRAFT BEER system with so many labels i lost count!! Very friendly staff. Good food. Plenty of big TV's and speakers. And a TOUCHTUNES jukebox. Very nice. I'll be back.
