Washington Deluxe Bus

The first bus was similar to what I was expecting, great leg room for tall people, single seats on one side and doubles on the other. Internet was sketchy but I just used my own. Quiet overall. The second driver was a little more aggressive with braking and switching lanes. Second bus was a charter and I am unhappy with this change. Not enough leg room and no tables. Still not a full bus so I’m happy there. The location outside Papa John’s needs a sign. Everyone goes to Panera looking lost. The line actually begins on the side street in front of the park, not the address given (which doesn’t exist). The pickup in NYC is perfect and clearly organized and marked. Go out to 31st from Penn Station Food Hall and you can’t miss the bus line up.

Currently stuck in the bus back from DC to NY and for some reason bus is stopped. Going to wait for two hours and nothing we can do!!! AND three days before this trip, NY to DC, same company, stuck in the traffic and driver definitely has no idea what he’s doing, stuck in the traffic for 7hrs. Worst experiences ever!!!

My experience on the Washington Deluxe was excellent-(I was unsure of this bus line-I had not heard of it before) the driver was professional and left on time. He drove fast (but not too fast to be unsafe) and the bus seemed new or fairly new and for a coach bus the seats were fairly comfortable, the bathroom was fully stocked with toilet paper, hand sanitizer and Clorox wipes (this is not always the case with some bus lines). We arrived 30 minutes early on New Years Day and the bus stopped about 5 blocks from Times Square and a few blocks from Penn Station. If I travel from DC to NYC I will probably use this bus line again.

We’re stuck on our way back to NYC from DC. The driver won’t let us get off the bus and is making us wait for another bus coming from Maryland, which is 1.5 hours away. We’ve already been on the bus for five hours, and now, just 25 minutes away from our destination, we have to wait another hour and a half for the transfer. We tried to get our luggage and take a uber home but the driver won’t let us do that. Being asked if we would get partial refund because of this issue, He kept saying it’s not his problem.Worst experience. This is the last time I use service from this company. Update- it’s been 2 hours already.

Generally a good experience. However, on the way back on 6-19-23 departing New York at 5:30PM we were not permitted to exit the bus for a bathroom break. I understand that there is a bathroom on board. However, on the way there, there was a stop for 15 minutes on my previous bus Friday. There was a bus driver switch in MD and it took about 15 minutes! During this time both drivers refused to let people off the bus to use the bathroom. I felt really bad and uncomfortable with this one lady who requested to run to the bathroom and she seemed very uncomfortable and there was someone in the bathroom for an extended time. Although she was basically begging to use the bathroom he kept saying no and eventually kept quiet and just closed the door on her as an answer even though she was clearly Distressed. I can’t believe two bus drivers in a row denied allowing us a 10-15 minute break for people to use the Facilties off the bus. My trip up was amazing and again the person offered a 15 minute break. The way down from NYC to DC both drivers were rude and non-empathetic in this regard. He later let us know there were rules and that he would have got in trouble if we allowed us to get off. I appreciate him informing the bus group of that. In that case something needs to change with the higher ups or something. Maybe this complaint on behalf of management might go unheard but I would have recommended and taken this line again. Sadly due to this experience I will not be returning or referring anyone.

The company misrepresented service to its passengers, on August 31 subcontracted transport of its service from DC to NY to a different provider in MD without letting anyone know. Passengers were picked up in usual spot in DC at a different time than scheduled. but then transferred to Bethesda, MD and there more people were loaded. From there we set our to Ny. This added one hour to the trip and led us to leave in peak traffic time on labor day weekend. On top of that the bus driver was inexperienced and made a stop in a rest station for 35 minutes. The bus had no toilet unlike advertised, which made stop needed. The trip lasted more than 7 hours!!! No apologies or explanations offered. Hostage of a company that will deceive you at ease and no regrets

Used the Washington Deluxe Bus service for a weekend trip to Washington DC with my family. Nothing to complain about! The bus departed and arrived ON TIME (both ways), was fast and clean. Easy boarding, no unnecessary delays, the drivers were nice friendly. Will use this service again!

I have ridden with Washington Deluxe bus the last 20 years never had any issues. 11/25/2023 took bus from DC to NYC Both drivers were nice, Mr. Mike (2nd driver Maryland to NYC) very professional A+
