Washoku Hōrai

Michelin restaurant quality! Everything was delicious and delicate. A bit pricy but totally worth it! If you don’t drink a lot, it’s about 10,000 per person. There is no price on the menu, the chef decides the price each day. Menu changes everyday depends on what they can get. Walk-in might be difficult so better to make a reservation.

Great night with chef, bartender and staff. When we arrived, the izakaya has already been full including bar and private rooms. Luckily, we booked reservations for 2 seats at bar. The chef and bartender are so friendly, all customers bought beer and cheers with them. The environment is not only like an izakaya; but also it’s like a family or friends party. Almost likely, everyone at here will enjoy the best izakaya. Very happy with chef and staff at this night, and expected for next time before say goodbye.

We had a wonderful meal -- the chef and kitchen staff delighted us with expertly prepared dishes in an intimate setting. The service we received was both warm and professional. The whole evening was very memorable -- we look forward to returning when we are next in Kyoto, and also to recommending this place to our friends. Note to tourists: be prepared for the fact that the menu is printed entirely in Japanese, prices are not included on the menu. Pricing was incredibly reasonable for such a great meal!

京都に観光で行くだから　友達に推薦されたので　予約して行きました。 京都独特の雰囲気のある祇園にあって　八坂神社と知恩院の近くにあるので　ついでに　観光して　良かったです😛 お料理は　それぞれ　美味しく お酒も　美味しい 雰囲気も　良くて お腹いっぱいになって 大満足だったのです。 3人で　5万近く　😛😅 でも 機会があったら　もう一度　行きたいお店ですね〜

アラカルトで注文できるのがとっても嬉しい😊 ただ、お酒を飲む人用のご飯ばっかりだったので、お酒飲まない人用の食事も少し欲しいです。 ワガママかな。
