Wat phu tok is naturally beautiful. Highly recommend for those who can walk up the stairs. Stunning views and very unique place to visit. Most stairs are wooden and it is a Streep climbs, so you have to be careful. There are 7 floors in total. There’s parking and bathrooms. Recommend wearing comfortable walking shoes and bring water with you for hydration.

Phu Thompson Temple.  This place is also not suitable for people with a fear of heights. We walked along a wooden walkway that was built to cling to the side of a huge, Bavarian-shaped rock mountain with a radius of about 1500 meters at the bottom, but the gaps in the boards gave a clear view of the bottom, and the structure was so poor that it seemed as if it would collapse at any moment. The fear was at its peak. It would be a miracle if no one was killed.

One of the great experiences we did.. Love every bit of it.. Little advice to wear appropriate clothing as in temple area.

Wat Phu Tok Another temple of the naturalist buddhism sect where the temple is trying to blend in with nature. The temple is built on a small stone hill. It is 7 stories high. The trip up is not difficult but the paths are made by wooden stairs and wooden planks walkways. It is a great blend of local culture and faith. The work by the none professional woodworkers add to the charm of the place. Very unique and a must visit if you in the region.

The spectacular temple around the mountain. There are two kinds of ways to get up; the left side is easier than the right side. The steps are made of wood and it is a steep climb. Please bring a water with you and protect yourself from the heat. It is definitely worth to climb up.

Unique place, but navigation can be confusing, so here a little explanation: -the pagoda is on level four (circled blue) -the cliff walkway is on level five on the north side (marked blue) -do not go up to level six or seven unless you want to explore some little trails with rocks and roots, there are no really good view points due to trees. -stairs and walkways are a bit rickety ;)

Amazing view with nice experience to walk on the edge of cliff, but walk carefully 😁 strongly recommend. Up and down for 7 layers about 2+3hrs walk and rest

There are a lot of steps to climb, so take your time. At each level there are gantries to walk along - you will need to hold your nerve on most of them! There are Buddha statues in one of the cave recesses. Once you get to level 7, the top, there is nothing to stop you walking straight off the cliff - take care. Overall, a truly memorable trip, if a little scary.
