Watch Hill Proper

First above all, our server Moe was amazing! She made our night and was hands down one of the best servers I’ve ever had. From the very minute we sat down she was so friendly, smiling, and just happy we were there. The old fashioned’s are the best around. The food was phenomenal as well. The pasta bolognese, ahi tuna, shrimp cocktail, pimento cheese bread, all of it was so good. I’m a foodie and hard to impress but this place did it. I already can’t wait to come back. From the girls at the check in desk, the servers, everyone was so friendly. In the world we live in today, it’s hard to find this atmosphere. Watch Hill is doing it right. Also shoutout to Executive Chef for talking to us asking how our food was. It’s so nice to see the chef who prepares these wonderful meals. Kudos to Watch Hill for running a top notch place.

Our group of 4 had a Thursday night reservation. We had pretty high expectations based on reviews and hype, and this place lived up to it. The service was friendly and very attentive. If you love American Whiskey, you won't be disappointed. We came for the drinks but the food was very impressive. Great selection of appetizers and entrees. The cocktails we got were delicious. We will be back!

We had the most amazing time at Watch Hill Proper. From the moment we arrived it was like we were invited into a secret club! The hospitality, the food, the bourbon. Everything was incredible. If I could give 12 stars I would : ) Robin and Chris made our last evening in Louisville pure magic. Thank you so much. We’re already anticipating the next time!!

Our group of 5 had excellent service! We went on a Saturday evening and had to wait a few minutes for a table but that's expected on a weekend. We were promptly serviced at our table and words can't describe the atmosphere and whiskey selection! Only had drinks but certainly assume the food is quality! Old Fashioned was the best presented and taste I've seen in a while! Will certainly be back!

What an Amazing time at Watch Hill Proper! Literally ZERO complaints. The entire Staff was beyond amazing including the chef. Food was 10 out of 10. A Bourbon Lover's dream. We made the trip from Nashville just to check them out and they did not disappoint. I will be back at every opportunity. Can't recommend enough!

Thank you so much to Chris & Mo for making our experience and trip to Kentucky so memorable. The escargot, beef tartare & ibérico were 10/10. They only serve American whiskey for spirits, but they crafted a flight for me as a scotch lover. Chris also crafted my husband a hazmat flight. It was so special and a one of a kind experience.

Incredible food, staff and service! The chef came around to check on us and we were blown away with our entire experience. We will definitely return for another celebration in the future.

I have never given any place all five stars but Watch Hill Proper truly is exceptional!!! This is our second time here since we’re from PA. Doing the BOURBON TRAIL again. Watch Hill has THE BEST selection of very rare bourbons. The bourbon bible is impressive. Prices for pours are outstanding!!! We were celebrating our friend’s 48th birthday here and he was impressed that he was able to taste Rip Van Winkle 12yr lot B, Blanton’s Takara, George T Stagg, John Handy 2024. The flight tasting was exquisite!!! Staff is exceptional, food was even better now that they have a vegetarian menu - thank you chef, and the price is outstanding. Service was on point with timing our meals. Our waiter Matt was fabulous and so personable. Love him. Bartenders are masters of their craft - thank you for the delicious cocktails. This is a must place to come and experience!!
