Watch Hill Proper

WOW! Simply wow! I want to start by saying that Matt was the absolute best and if you can get him to be in charge of your table then you will have the best experience possible. The restaurant itself is beautiful and you are surrounded by hundreds of whiskey/bourbon bottles as well as barrels. It is very elegant but comfy at the same time. We had the following menu items: -Steak Tartare -Ahi Tartare -Lobster Roll -Diver Scallop -Ibérico Secreto -Duck Breast -Roasted Brussel Sprouts Everything was soooo good! I will definitely be back!

Depends on your tolerance for food / drink costs, but a nice place. Atmosphere is great and service was great as well. Steak was nicely cooked and the potatoes were surprisingly good. Disappointed there are zero beer offerings, but my guests said the drinks were very good. They certainly looked nice. Cheesecake was also good. Very thick.

First above all, our server Moe was amazing! She made our night and was hands down one of the best servers I’ve ever had. From the very minute we sat down she was so friendly, smiling, and just happy we were there. The old fashioned’s are the best around. The food was phenomenal as well. The pasta bolognese, ahi tuna, shrimp cocktail, pimento cheese bread, all of it was so good. I’m a foodie and hard to impress but this place did it. I already can’t wait to come back. From the girls at the check in desk, the servers, everyone was so friendly. In the world we live in today, it’s hard to find this atmosphere. Watch Hill is doing it right. Also shoutout to Executive Chef for talking to us asking how our food was. It’s so nice to see the chef who prepares these wonderful meals. Kudos to Watch Hill for running a top notch place.

Our group of 4 had a Thursday night reservation. We had pretty high expectations based on reviews and hype, and this place lived up to it. The service was friendly and very attentive. If you love American Whiskey, you won't be disappointed. We came for the drinks but the food was very impressive. Great selection of appetizers and entrees. The cocktails we got were delicious. We will be back!

Had an excellent experience here — the food and drinks were outstanding! The atmosphere is truly one of a kind and sets this place apart from anywhere else. While the bourbon selection is incredible and seemingly endless, they also offer a great variety of other cocktails for those who may not be bourbon fans or are just looking to try something different. Whether you’re here for the drinks, the food, or just the vibe, it’s a spot that never disappoints. Highly recommend!

We had the most amazing time at Watch Hill Proper. From the moment we arrived it was like we were invited into a secret club! The hospitality, the food, the bourbon. Everything was incredible. Easily one of the best dining experiences we’ve had anywhere in Louisville!

What an Amazing time at Watch Hill Proper! Literally ZERO complaints. The entire Staff was beyond amazing including the chef. Food was 10 out of 10. A Bourbon Lover's dream. We made the trip from Nashville just to check them out and they did not disappoint. I will be back at every opportunity. Can't recommend enough!
