The vibe seems exclusive to women? Not sure. I’ve lived in LB for 30 years and stopped by with a buddy yesterday after noticing this place had opened. At 5:30 PM on a Thursday, the place was nearly empty—just one occupied table—but every other table had a reserved sign. The only seating available without reserved signs was in an awkward second section.
We’re both progressive locals with daughters—just looking for a bite, a drink, and maybe some sports—but after standing at the entrance for two minutes, with three staff members visible and making eye contact twice with one, no one approached us. No "seat yourself" sign, no menus, nothing. With the place that empty, it felt uninviting.
Ended up walking across PCH to Ola, where the bar’s happy hour was actually great. Great food, friendly staff, and they seemed more than happy to take our money.
