Omg this place is chill , awesome!!! If your in the area must try:)) The food is beyond awesome. They have cool stuff like Salmon candy and smoked scallops and home made sandwiches , the meats are amazing. And yes protein Bowls.

I’ve been dying to go here since they opened and so glad I went today. The seafood was so fresh and the workers were so nice. I’m going to have to go every week until I can try everything on the menu.

Had the double smash burger add fried egg, and 2 Hot dogs sauerkraut mustard and pickles! What can I say in the words of the máster himself Anthony Bourdain " it's food for the soul!!!

Everything I have had at Water Dog has been nothing short of sensational and the Lobster roll today was no different. Attention to detail on the sandwiches and making every part of them with the highest quality ingredients is what separates it from the rest. I enjoy coming here as often as possible when I'm in the area and for good reason.

Good food even during the COVID pandemic. First time and been meaning to eat here for awhile. Had the brisket burnt ends sandwich and thought they were a little too dry, but the portion size was huge. Poke bowl was very appetizing. Dr Dan and Low Country pork were all piled high with meat. Will definitely return for more and will try their breakfast next time.

Stopped in on a bagel run but was greeted by the full effect - so much smoked salmon and pastrami-encrusted smoked salmon. This became a homemade lox which made the morning, and can't wait to get back to Water Dog for the sandwiches from their deli counter!

Absolutely mouth watering. I had the poke bowl with spicy salmon. Everything was so fresh and delicious. Ordered take out, and they were quick to prepare my order! A must go when on the island!

Not a traditional Cheesesteak, but this is a Burnt end brisket Cheesesteak. It was unbelievable. My wife got a turkey club, best we ever had. The experience as a whole was 10/10. Super friendly, first time for the both of us. If your anywhere down the shore must try!!!

Awesome, creative selection of sandwiches in a casual atmosphere. We got some of the lox by the pound to munch on while we waited approx 10min for our sandwiches. We got their thanksgiving special which was outstanding, and the brisket which was so tender and delicious. Perfect for after the beach or a nice picnic.

While our very first experience with Water Dog in early pandemic days was a little hit or miss (loved the lox, eh on the bbq) we have since become huge fans and found our go-tos here. The lobster roll above all is the best bar none in the area. I'll be honest: my husband and I are lobster roll snobs! We like CT style so the lobster has got to stand up on its own and taste great without much adornment on it. The warm CT roll here passes the test and then some! A generous portion of fresh, tender, sweet meat that frankly is better than anywhere else nearby. And overall the gourmet sandwiches are super high quality, made to order with the best ingredients so that they're the best versions of themselves. I'm always a fan of the bacon egg and cheese (as a New Yorker, stands up to the best of them) and the BLT is a thing of beauty, stuffed with bacon, actually fresh tomatoes and lettuce on a fluffy brioche bun and all in the perfect ratios. Tough to finish in one sitting! Aside from the food, love Water Dog's ample shady outdoor seating, friendly service and wide beverage selection. It's become an easy choice for us for a lunch any day of the week.

this lobster roll changed my life. it was the best thing i've tasted this year and i don't think i'll stop raving about it for a while. my food was ready 5 mins after i ordered, but my friend had an issue with her order. they fixed it immediately and went above and beyond to make it right. she let me try her blt and caesar salad and they were both delicious. also!!! the horseradish pickles!!! incredible!!! they have a few tables inside to eat at and a whole bunch of tables outside. i think we're going back tomorrow before we leave because i just have to get another lobster roll.

The food we order was just ok. I had the poke bowl and fries and hubby had the chicken cheesesteak which was supposed to have "1/2 lb of chicken". The cheesesteak was tasty but false advertising, wasn't even close to 1/2 lb of meat. . the fries were good.

I had a lunch a Water Dog on a Sunday. They have several picnic tables for outside dining. They also have a few high top tables in the restaurant. We chose to eat outside. One of the employees let us know that we could wait for our food outside and he would call us when it was ready. The menu has many decent options. I was in the mood for a BLT and it was very good. I would come here again when in Margate.

I came here on a Saturday around lunchtime. They have several picnic tables for outside dining. They also have a few high top tables in the restaurant but they were pushed to the side so I don't think many people dine inside during the summer. One of the employees let us know that we could wait for our food outside and he would call us when it was ready. I love jalepeno cheddar bagels and was excited to try theirs because it looked extra cheesy. I ordered it as a breakfast sandwich with fried egg, provolone, and avocado. It did not disappoint. The bagel was soft and doughy. They were generous with the avocado and it was very fresh. My boyfriend got a cheesesteak and said it was as good as ones he's had in Philly. He also ordered the lobster roll and said it was okay, but would've preferred that the lobster wasn't warm. We also tried the Mash bottled fruit drinks. The watermelon lemon lime was tasty but way too sweet. I thought it would be a healthy-ish fresh juice, but it had a ton of added sugar. We were lucky to snag one of the picnic tables in the front of the restaurant in the shade. It was perfect for people watching while enjoying our meal.

Great food, great service and great beach ambiance! Smoked meats and fish were amazing. We really liked their pickled items as well!

My family and I stopped here for lunch. Cute decent place they even have outdoor dining! Service was GREAT, food was DELICIOUS! Would definitely love to come back!

Talk about a sausage, egg, and cheese! So delicious!!! Quick and easy ordering. We ordered online and brought our food to the beach!

Honestly every time I've eaten here it's just been okay. There's this one girl on Instagram that I follow, Molly something, that raves about this place every summer, and idk man, maybe I just haven't found what I'm looking for, but this place just doesn't do it for me. I've had both the lobster roll and the brisket burnt ends sandwich, and the lobster roll was totally okay, you can't really mess that up, but the burnt end sandwich was dry as heck. "Burnt ends" are kind of an oxymoron to begin with because realistically if you burn something, you'd think it would be dry, but I've never had a burnt ends sandwich that was dry as this one. I've been here a couple of times, and I'm always one to be like "yeah I'll totally give this place another go, maybe they were having a bad day," but I've been here a couple times now to be in the mindset of "this place is a pass" for me. Overall I would really like for this place to have been good, because as someone who doesn't live in the area, I rely highly on reviews such as this to figure out what I'm eating for dinner before taking the drive home, but I would totally constitute this one as a PASS my friends.

Really like Water Dog! They smoke their own meats which is very tasty! Love their lox and roast beef!

Smoke meats and fish with some outdoor dining options next to a solid local coffee bakery and coffee shop. 1) pastrami - oh my. Not NY, but oh my 2) grilled scallop or lobster sandwiches.. yes please 3) great cream cheese spreads but if u are only here foe bagels - then try hot bagels instead, duh. 4) smoked candy salmon if u are into that This great local place but expect a little hike on the price tag for such a casual venue.

This deli is amazing! I stopped in just before it was going to close but the staff did not rush me and went above-and-beyond to fill my order. I ordered a pastrami sandwich and a corned beef sandwich, both came with chips and pickles. My sandwiches were absolutely amazing. I'm usually not into pickles, but these pickles were the best I've ever had. The pickles were spicy, savory and sweet all at the same time. These were undoubtedly the best pickles I've ever had. The sandwiches were piled with warm pastrami and corned beef, and were delicious. The only place I've had sandwiches this good was New York City, these sandwiches can compete with any New York Deli. I ordered some plain bagels and they were literally the best bagels I never had. I thought they wouldn't be that great since they weren't flavored and I was wrong, they were amazing. I can't say enough about this deli, I will conclude by saying if I could give them 10 stars I would.

Water Dog is so good I came twice on my 2 week vacation in Ventnor - once for breakfast when I had the Nova bagel which was fantastic, and for dinner, the salmon poke bowl which was equally as delicious. The fish is fresh, the bagel was delicious and the portions are generous. Highly recommend!

Water Dog is one of my local favorites! It's casual, quick, and always a solid choice for dinner when I'm at the beach. There's also so many options on their menu that it's easy to bring anyone. The fish is always fresh and cooked well, including the lobster roll and poke bowls (my two favs). The brisket burnt ends platter is also good. I thought the brisket was a little on the tough side, but it was also my first time having brisket so I may just be a little ignorant. Regardless, I love going to Water Dog, and I always suggest it to friends & family!

Absolutely the best bagels we have had anywhere. Delicious coffee. We had a taste of Water Dog at the Downtown Seafood Beach Festival . Fabulous. After our stay in AC we decided to check out the restaurant on our way home. Highly recommend. Everything is made to order and wonderful, patient staff!! Go try it out!

I've only had the Lobster Roll and it's stuffed with meat. Delicious! Service was phenomenal and they got the crowd through fast. Seating is limited and parking is difficult but worth the food!

It was our first visit and we will definitely be returning! Best corned beef sandwich I've had in a long time!

Had an amazing breakfast here. There was no line on a Sunday morning at 10:30 am, and the staff was friendly! I got the Boca (bagel with whitefish salad, lettuce, tomato, onion, capers), and added their homemade smoked nova. It was delicious! Living in NYC, I can't say the bagel was comparable with chewiness/ dough, but I still give it 5 stars for incredible smoked fish and service. I've heard it does get a lot busier, but we had no problem finding a seat. Can't wait to go back!

I visited Water Dog Smokehouse and had "The Acadia." It was flavorful, offering the perfect butter and aioli combination -And don't sleep on the roll either . The roll is meant for the bread lovers- as it's soft and toasted (I've had soft pretzel's that pale in comparison to this roll)! If you're not into lobster, I highly recommend "The Lois" as well. As to be expected, I was indecisive as I was reviewing their menu. The man at the counter was super helpful in recommending his preferred items on the menu.

Fantastic food. They smoke there own fish and meats. I always get the beast when I need a vegan break. Their smoked salmon is so flavorful, a great choice of bagels and the portion is of good sized along with a price that's lower than anywhere. I'm sure all of their items are equally as good. They have outdoor seating with music on the weekends. The staff is always friendly. They have stayed operating and busy during this time of isolation. Support local who have been here to support us during these difficult times.

The flavors of the food were absolutely delightful. I savored every bite of my poke bowl with smoked salmon, and my husband thoroughly enjoyed his brisket sandwich, declaring it to be delicious.Highly recommend

The amusing version of "Cheers" in a deli that I encountered may be less crucial and more temporary than Water Dog's expertise in fish-smoking, but I think it offers a lesson in thoughtful capitalism. The workers here were friendly as well as experts in explaining the menu to a newcomer, suggesting that the cheerful workplace vibe also benefits customers. The menu is wide-ranging, with barbecue meats and lobster rolls and regular deli items, but the fish is compulsory. I got the Beast sandwich with nova and the Squirrel Hill with kippered salmon. These sandwiches are massive and even I took a long time to have two. But if you find yourself in a similar dilemma of not wanting to select only one salmon, they do have an add-on option. As a longtime Queens resident now living in a subpar bagel town, I also was glad to find the everything bagels and scallion cream cheese.

Love everything about this place. Never had a bad meal in the 15 times I was there or more this summer. Everything is great.

I really enjoy a lot of the food at water dog smoke house but feel it's getting a little crazy with prices. One Poké bowl with their "basic proteins" is over $20, which is a little much however the bowl is quite large and could be saved for another meal. They are bagels aren't my favorite but sandwiches are Pretty solid also super large. My fave thing here is the spicy tuna poke bowl with brown rice or the lobster roll

Water Dog usually has a crowd, and there is a menu worth of good reasons: their smoked meats and fish are worth the weight (and are reasonably priced). So good we had breakfast and dinner the same day - when I'm on summer tour I need a lot of good, not greasy or heavy, filling food and Water Dog put it on a plate. Breakfast: huge omelet with home-smoked bacon and pork roll (definite Jersey attitude stuffed in with the prov and eggs) and bagels that rival anything you'd find north of I-78. Dinner: smoked turkey, slaw and horseradish pickles. Between the homemade bbq sauce and great rub on the turkey, and the torque of those pickles, it was the right dinner before Phish on the beach.

This cute corner shop is the place to be! It stands out with its vibrant orange and picnic tables outside. Highly recommend ordering online to beat the line (especially in the summer season). My go to is a BEC with avocado on a bagel. I used to love getting my bagel with the hash browns on it until they changed them :'( The latkes are really good whenever they have them. I also really like their lunch pail ham sandwich. The poke bowls are really popular in our house as well. You really can't go wrong with anything on the menu. Oh and always get extra horseradish pickles!! They're addictive in the best way possible.

Waterdog always delivers excellent food. We have had everything on the menu for Breakfast/Lunch/Dinner and keep coming back for excellent food. Breakfast sandwiches are very varied and served on fresh tasty bagels. Lunch and dinner have various creative sandwiches to suit almost every taste. We love the Birds of a Feather, The Loafer, Turkey BLT and their Pastrami Reubens.

Was craving a poke bowl, so stopped by to get one. They have a nice variety to satisfy both carnivores and vegetarians. Here's my beef with them: undercooked rice! Seriously, rice should not be cooked "al dente", it's not a vegetable. My teeth still hurt, it was like chewing mini pebbles. Please check on the rice! But big kudos on wearing masks!

This is my spot! Ever since they've opened up We've been here regularly. Every time it's delicious! Chef Nate is the freakin man! They're planning on putting wings on the menu and we were lucky enough to stop in when they trialed them-and when I tell you!! Omg! BEST WINGS EVER!!! They gotta put it on the menu soon! I usually can never clean a wing BUT THESE JAWNS‍ we cleaned them up! Big props to Chef Nate, coolest dude and the coolest spot for some delicious bites. Must stop for anytime you're by the beach.

I wish that every once and a while, you could give a sixth star. We will get to that in a minute. A friend told us about Water Dog. We checked it out and it looked amazing. It's still the middle of the pandemic, so we decided to order in. We went with the pastrami sandwich kit, roasted turkey and double smoked salmon. Everything was simply amazing. The pastrami was smoked to perfection! Add it to the dressing, cole slaw, and bread and you are right where you want and need to be! Switch things up and redo the whole thing with the turkey. We are split down the middle as to what the winner is :) Now for the sixth star. I called late on Wednesday evening asking if we could possibly get our order in time to watch a baseball game on Friday. The owners said the restaurant was slammed but would make it happen. Everything showed up perfectly wrapped and cold on Friday with a hand written note saying to enjoy the game. My daughter has now asked twice when we can do this again! Sixth star, thank you!

Wonderful new gem in Ventnor!! Everything is close to perfect here. Establishment is clean, decorated great! Employees are nice and the food is outstanding. I've been there three times now and each time was fantastic. The bagels are fresh, cream cheese yummy and lox is to die for. The only thing I would improve is the coffee. Is was tasteless and watery. Keep doing what your doing (maybe improve the coffee) and I absolutely LOVE your love of doggies!!!

Absolutely fabulous every time! Last night they made me dinner for 10 for a picnic on the beach. 10 different items, all prepared perfectly and extremely tasty. All my friends thanked me many times, and commented on how much they loved the food! WD serves fresh food deliciously prepared consistently. We ordered the eight day salad, the blade, roast beef sandwich, hotdogs, lunchpail, crabcake sandwich. Everyone was just raving about their meals. And I also must mention that they were packed perfectly for the beach. I couldn't have been happier with the picnic they prepared!! Thank you for being routinely terrific all the time!

Finally made it here. I thought the food was excellent. The corned beef is outstanding. The pastrami is very good and the couple of types of lox I tried were outstanding. Friendly people work here too. Email area for eating in the store. Will be back.

There's a saying that a chef friend of mine coined in the nineties "ain't afraid of flavor!" Water Dog Abides! Yes, it's busy. Yes, you'll wait! Yes, just get in there, shut your mouth and eat! Rays of sunshine peek through front window, shedding light on Scallop Roll with riffs of Tarragon playing backup, culinary harmony tucked warmly into grilled roll, in that moment, nothing else mattered! Silken strips of Meat heroin lay abundantly on warm Rye with tangy slaw and intermezzo pickle bites nearby for crunchy cleansing! I am home and it feels so good!

There was a little bit of the exclusive shore vibe with the customers hanging outside but don't mind that... because this place has THE BEST lobster roll I have ever tasted!!! Their food was great - fresh! The wait was not long, and more importantly, the staff members were very kind and friendly! They have little paintings of puppies on their walls, too, which was sooo cute!! Any pet-friendly place is a big plus in my book! Definitely a good place for take out!

Came after a long day at a tradeshow. My buddy ordered a cheeseburger and fries. I spotted the Poke Bowl...which I LOVE. Side note...should have just ordered the cheeseburger Poke bowl had fresh fish and veggies. Had some kimchi...which was nice. But there were 2 major problems. 1. The rice was undercooked...like crunch crunch per bite. How hard is it to do white sushi rice properly? 2. It was dry as a popcorn fart. Like I said...have eaten Poke Bowl more than 100 times across the country. Suggest they remove that from the menu or name it something else. Fahad was the server. Very attentive and on the spot for our needs. Management needs for servers like him and less cooks like whoever butchered the rice

Came here on a recommendation from a friend while in AC, so glad they told me about this place. Food was so good I forgot to take pictures. Lol. Shared a lobster roll and the burnt pastrami ends ssooooooooo good! Staff was super friendly and accommodating. Will be back!!

First time here at Water Dog and definitely not my last! We were in the area and looking to find a lobster roll to start off the season. Luckily we found Water Dog not only to supply delicious Smoked meats/fish, but lobster rolls too. We arrived around 12:30pm on a Saturday and there was a fair amount of people with the weather being nice and all. We made our way inside and followed the arrows on the ground to order our meal. Each lobster roll was $22 which came with a small side of aioli sauce and potato salad. The lobster roll had great meaty, buttery chunks of all parts of the lobster on a hefty brioche bun. If you don't believe me, I got pictures to prove it! The lobster was tasty and you could tell it was fresh. I wish I had 3 moreee! My only suggestion would be to maybe opt out of the aioli and add a coleslaw instead. I didn't find any use for the aioli as I don't like that to empower the lobster taste. Other than that, you are getting your money's worth by ordering a lobster roll sandwich here. I can't wait to try other things on the menu!

Okay found this place while driving around New Jersey hoping to find a dog friendly place to eat. We were not disappointed. Greeted at the door and told "our dogs were welcome to enter". The decor was impressive with hand painted dog art. I ordered the Lobster brioche and my husband ordered Jack's Rueben. Both sandwiches were the absolute best sandwiches we have ever had. They don't skimp on the lobster or the meat on either sandwich. Whole pieces of lobster claw and tail in a buttered, toasted and fresh brioche roll and the side of potato salad was scrumptious!! My husband's sandwich was piled high as well and he enjoyed every bite. If you are in the area go!! I hope we have a chance to return here before we leave New Jersey. Water Dog you have impressed me beyond my expectations! I rarely order sandwiches but that lobster was delicious!!

Food, coffee all ingestsbles are terrific. Slightly slow service. Worst part significantly cut back morning coffee hours by 2-3 hours per day on most days. Now forced to look for an alternative morning coffee vender.

Must try if in the greater Atlantic City area, luckily for me our best friends live down the block from here so whenever we stay over we get to order our hangover breakfast from this fine establishment. I'm usually a smoked salmon kind of guy and have always loved their lox and whatnot, but this past visit I got the MVP BLT, a beast of a sandwich. Smoked turkey, bacon, avocado I believe, other stuff, sooo good, and huge, and turkey so it's healthy (wink wink). Just go here and order anything and you'll thank me. And if you think it's too expensive then take your cheap ass to Dunkin'.

Just what everyone says... this Place is great! Wife and I had the Beef tips and Roast Beef sandwiches and they were both delicious... and an abundance of meat on both... Highly recommend Water Dog... can't wait to go back..

Went here 3 or more times while in the area. Everything was amazing. A tad overpriced but most of everything is around the area. I had the salmon salad, pastrami sandwich and the Reuben on my visits. Staff is friendly and there is ample outdoor seating. Ordering ahead is key!

Great service, great bagels & dog friendly! Only suggestion would be add more vegan & vegetarian options to your menu. Be prepared to pay for parking when you visit @ a parking meter.
