Coming back from a trip from Austin. me and my wife from Dallas looked up this spot and looked promising as you can’t go wrong with breakfast foods , waited about 20 minutes or so for our table , they had signs posted all over about wait times but every restaurant always has a bit of a wait . We sat down and got to see a good variety of menu , our app of the biscuits came out very fast and were pretty good … really sweet so just be prepared , we ordered our app and entree at same time , and it took almost forever for food come out and I think what upset me the most was our server (yes I understand they are busy ) but she did not bother to let us know how long or any updates that kitchen was backed up etc , until I asked and she informed me of those things , once food came out i definitely feel a tad over priced for my meal considering how small it was , tots where perfect ! , bacon felt dry , waffles seemed cold and hard , my wife was disappointed that the hot chicken sauce for all over here waffles that should have been separated . I gave the server a good tip as I know that’s how they make a living , but definitely a frustrating experience for me

Very beautiful decore and atmosphere. The service was great. The food was good but lacked a little flavor and the waffle the food came with was hard. We had the original breakfast that came with egg and sausage on top of a waffle. Great spot for brunch in the Belton area, will be back to try other menu options on the menu. I recommend for all.

Fun spot for brunch. Definitely a spot to go with some friends or family. Ended up getting a breakfast platter with a banana Nutella waffle. Staff is friendly and the food is great. They have options for everyone. Their waffles are incredible. Portions are large and the place feels homey.

The food was amazing but there was A LOT per plate. I ate half the The Three Terminators. Half kept me full all day. Took time for our orders which would have been fine, but one person's order was not made. Enjoyed otherwise.

Nice ambience, friendly and attentive staff, and the food is so, so good. Everyone else will tell you you’re missing out if you skip the fried green tomatoes, and they’re right! You MUST get ‘em, they’re just delicious. I’m stuffed. This gem is definitely worth a visit. Oh, and there’s some seating around on the back deck that feels almost like a private dining area.

Water street did not disappoint. I was very impressed by the atmosphere, service, and food. Diana was my server and she was so kind, welcoming, and helpful navigating menu choices. I will be back. Hands down, one of the best breakfast places I have had yet. Thanks again!

Delicious menu options. My wife had the hippy piggy skillet which came with a generous portion and great flavor. The ham was smokey and the seasoning was nearly perfect. I chose the three drunken fools and was surprised by how well each tasted. One of the three was a fried boneless chicken thigh biscuit! We also has the fried green tomatoes with a red pepper jelly that absolutely slapped. My only negative comment was about my chai tea latte, it seemed a bit watered down.

This is such a charming and cozy restaurant with a warm atmosphere, perfect for a casual meal. Although the menu offered limited vegan options, I was able to find a flavorful option that was still delicious. Overall, this is a must try restaurant!

My favorite breakfast place in Bell County! Great variety and awesome service. Don't think of going anywhere else.

Hidden gem alert so this was my first time going here I've been wanting to come to try their lavender syrup which is made in house so me and my mother came to check it out right when we walked in we were greeted and seated. I would say, I absolutely love the atmosphere. Everything was clean and put together the artwork on the wall really stood out to me gave me really Chill down to earth vibes! So my mom and I we started off with the lavender lemonade and let me tell you you can go ahead and order 2 cups because the cup that you get is kind of small and you'll be wanting more we also order the Grit fritters which were out of this world I was so surprised on how delicious they were these were Fried to perfection with so much flavor 10 out of 10 and the jammy sauce that it comes with so delicious 10 out of 10. This place is known for the waffles so I got the birdie trio which had different types of waffles three with fried chicken on top. One of them had gravy the other had a smoky chipotle sauce and when I tell you the fried chicken here anything that's fried here is the best it's fried to perfection. I was so shocked. My meal was a 10 out of 10. My mom got the birdie with hashbrowns and a side of avocado. She said it was really good. Everything about The Spot gave me homemade make their own sauces make their own batters and the manager was very nice. She enjoyed her meal 10 out of 10. I recommend The Spot to anyone that's downtown Belton. They have the shrimp and grits on Sundays only but the temple location has shrimp grits all the time but I like this location because it's more down to earth and chill vibes and then after if you wanna walk by the creek you can walk around the corner I will definitely be coming to The Spot again. I recommend you come with family friends date or come by yourself 10 out of 10.

Another Texas restaurant my sister recommended during our visit--and learning that it is woman-owned immediately piqued my interest. We visited on a Monday afternoon and experienced a short wait. every staff member we encountered was pleasant and welcoming, always maintaining a smile. Overall, our customer service experience was positive. We were a party of eight and were seated comfortably. Our waitress, Ariel, came by quickly to take our drink and appetizer orders and did introduce herself. It would have been nice if she had asked whether it was our first visit or offered menu suggestions, but service was still attentive. She was sweet. My husband and I ordered the mimosa flights--pictured with details--and they were excellent. My sister ordered the iced coffee flight (no pictures, unfortunately), which was the same size as the mimosa flights. She loved them, especially the butter pecan flavor. Food highlights: * Blueberry Lemon Waffle: Very good. I am not usually a waffle person, but the blueberry and lemon flavors were well-balanced, and the cream was delicious. I expected a gooier center based on the description; it was crispier than anticipated, but still enjoyable. * Strawberry Cream Waffle: My daughter devoured it--she absolutely loved it. * Skillet Dish (Dunkin-style): My husband ordered a skillet with eggs, peppers, onions, multiple meats, and melted cheese. It looked amazing, and he finished it with no hesitation. * Eggs Benedict: My daughter ordered this but could not get poached eggs and wished it had been served on a biscuit. She did not care for the sweet-and-savory combination, though I personally enjoyed it. * Open-Faced BLT on a Waffle: My other sister loved this dish. Appetizers: We ordered the sampler with chorizo jalapeño bites, fried green tomatoes, and fried grits, along with the breakfast jalapeño poppers. The jalapeño poppers were hands-down the best item we ordered. The fried green tomatoes--OMG--were outstanding. I wished I had them all to myself (and more). The flavor, the crust, and the pickled tomato taste were perfection. My sisters and I also really enjoyed the chorizo bites. Service note: Ray, who consistently checked on us (even though I do not believe we were his table), was absolutely fantastic. He did not miss a beat--ensuring we had what we needed, helping with refills, engaging with us, and making the wait for my food much more pleasant. Honestly, he almost made me forget I was waiting while everyone else was already eating. Service overall was slow, which would be my main complaint. I am unsure whether it was due to short staffing or a lack of urgency. I have heard that the Temple location offers a slightly different menu. That said, I would definitely return when I am back in town--though I may check out the Temple location first. Overall, I would rate this experience an 8/10, and a big part of that is thanks to Ray.

I was excited about this place because the ambience was decent, but our experience this past Saturday afternoon was a total letdown. We waited 30 minutes just to order. Our server kept disappearing and promising to return, but never did. When she finally came back, she got defensive when I mentioned the wait, claiming she was overwhelmed, yet I saw a group of other employees hanging out in the empty next room doing nothing to help her, and avoiding all eye contact when I walked over there. The food was a major disappointment for the price: -Chicken Sliders: Overcooked and way too salty. -Chocolate Chip Waffle: Tasted like a basic budget hotel breakfast. -Avocado Toast: Extremely bland and average. The only saving grace was that the server became cordial once she realized I was on a deadline for Christmas shopping in Georgetown; she got the food out quickly and let us pay early. However, the damage was done. None of that makes up doesn't make up for mediocre quality and poor floor management. For these prices, $70+ for the two of us, I expected much better. I won't be back.

Water Street Waffle was definitely a fantastic way to get the morning going. Walking in, you'll notice the different vibes this place has going. Its got some sort of rock n roll, spooky decor going. We elected to get some breakfast and settled on a kids meal and also a skillet that was filled to the very top both of which were awesome. Wife and I shared the skilly since I couldn't finish it just by myself. I can see why this place can get packed. But I would definitely come back given the chance.

Came here for lunch on a Saturday late morning. We had about a half hour wait, I'd definitely recommend utilizing their join the line online option! Overall we had a great experience and can't wait to go back again! I was pretty torn between their sampler options and decided to go for the little terminators, which was 3 mini open faced sandwiches. The candied bacon one was my clear favorite, but they were all really yummy. The sweet crispy from the sugar pearls in the waffle pairs so nicely with the savory elements. I think going for a sweet option here would be a bit of sugar overload, so I'll probably stick on the savory side. The service was friendly but definitely on the slower side. It's a fairly slow town so we weren't in a big rush, but between the popularity and speed of service, don't expect for this to be a quick lunch. With that said, well worth however much time it takes, highly recommend this spot if you find yourself in the area!

This happened on Dec 26, 2025 but have waited to post my review to make sure my parents refund went through first. I had the worst customer experience and I will never set foot in either location again. I'll be posting a lengthy review on google and yelp...but long story short, if you or a loved one purchased a gift card on their website, it's not compatible with their POS system. You can't use it. For 45 minutes (after we ate, while my husband and kids waited in the car) one of the staff members tried to help me resolve the issue. At first the manager said no, pretty much sorry for your luck, pay up! Then the owner (as I was told) said go ahead and discount the value of the gift card and took all my info (name, number, and gift card number) and they would look into it and follow up. THEN I was called to ask to pay the $50 dollars that was discounted. I can assure you that a nearly $100 dollar brunch was not in my budget or plans the day after Christmas. You will be required to pay full price. They will not care that this is an error on their end! And will essentially be made out as though trying to get something for free. I, the PAYING CUSTOMER, had to call the company that issued the gift card to inform them I can't use it at the restaurant and request a refund of $50 back to my parents who had bought it for me as a birthday gift last month. My parents live in an income based senior living center on a limited income. A $50 gift is ALOT FOR THEM! I am only thankful I was able to get them refunded! Shout out to the employee who worked to the best of their ability to help me for those 45 minutes! I had the email confirmation for the for gift card, the gift card balance, and when you checked the balance it showed $50 available! I never tried to not pay or get a single thing for free. I specifically mentioned to the waiter when he mentioned an up charge on something my son was ordering that it was fine because I had a gift card and were splurging a little! I have still yet to receive a call from management/owners to even discuss what happened. Even a simple sorry for the mishap and acknowledgement would have gone such a long way for me. While my one review isn't much in the grand scheme of things, I still wanted to post as I find it disheartening how it was handled, or better yet not handled at all.

Great food here. Caution though. :-) The google walking map took us to the alley back-entrance, next to the exterior garbage bins. It looked seedy, but we found that was NOT the entrance. The entrance is directly across from the courthouse. Don't go thru the alley. This is a very nice and designed restaurant. Nevertheless, solid five star rating. Tricia was a superb server. Coffee was kept refilled and she knew the menu well. We split the appetizer sample platter, then split the trio waffle sliders: "The little Terminators". We were full when we left!

where is the service i've been standing here waiting to be seated for 20 minutes. i feel forgotten, a couple that arrived after us got seated; we are being completely disregarded. Also, i am currently being surrounded by flies. the food was pretty good tho

This was a good choice and we stopped here based on the Yelp reviews. Waffles are their specialty and these are at the best of any that I have eaten. If you can get the table next to the front door, do it. It provides a nice view of Americana as you eat. Hey, the coffee is only $2. here, very reasonable. But if you do stop here, you must get the waffles.

Amazing breakfast & brunch spot. Food is so flavorful and filling. Servers were really nice and welcoming. Decor is a little busy yet fun.

Thankfully we did the Wait List an hour before we arrived so we were seated right away. The rest of the wait time was longggg. It took us 20 min to get drinks and 1 hr for food. We had a group of 5 and they brought out sides first, then extra sauces, and then our meals two at a time. It just seemed like an odd way to bring us our food. By the time the meals came the sides were cold. The mimosa flight was good. Our food was decent. I had the lemon blueberry waffles and it was a little too sweet and borderline cold. Another person in our party had the cinnamon banana waffle and said flavor wise it was good but hers was also borderline cold.

I really want to love this place but every time I go it disappoints. And that's annoying because there aren't many breakfast options in Belton so I end up driving to Temple or Harker Heights if I don't feel like dealing with this place. It is hot inside. I'm not sure if the AC is broken or if they're trying to save a buck by not turning it on high enough. Our poor server was SO SWEATY. I felt so bad for him because he was working hard and very nice. His sweat dripped onto our table... he looked so uncomfortable. The weekends are busy. I recommend going online to add yourself to the waitlist. The entrance is poorly designed leaving very little room to wait. Most people have to wait outside. Even when standing at the host stand I feel like I'm in everyone's way. The waffles are good. They are like Belgian waffles - sweeter and smaller. These are not like Waffle House waffles. The scramble was just ok. Wouldn't order again. There is a lot of decor. All over the walls, which is fine but it's also all over tables and dividing walls too; it's just too cluttered. The menu has a snarky remark about waiting time that is off putting. It's trying to be cheeky but it's just irritating.

Unfortunately we waited 20 minutes for a table and then more than 45 minutes after ordering we still hadn't received our food. We asked and were informed "there are only a couple of people ahead of you now" so just 10 more minutes. We had somewhere to be and didn't think we could spend another 10+ minutes waiting plus time to eat. Very disappointing. After checking reviews this seems to be a recurring issue when they are busy so maybe they shouldn't have so many tables if they can't keep up.

Great stop in Belton if you live here or are just driving through. Only thing for me is that the wait was super long to get our food but man was it worth it! I ordered the trio of waffles which were incredible. I've never had a waffle like this and this was a great way to try them. Side note, love all the decor and vibes in here. When you're done stuffing yourself go for a nice walk along the creek!

Great spot no matter what time of day you go! We went as a group for lunch and it was busy even on a Monday! Our food and drinks came out relatively quickly despite the crowd. The waffle bites were perfect! I was excited to be able to try multiple types of the specialty waffles. The cinnamon, white chocolate and chocolate Nutella with strawberry drizzle were all amazing. The side of bacon only comes with two pieces which felt small, but the waffle bites themselves were filling.

Came here for the first time to meet our friends before they move out of this area! We learned that this place was their favorite place, so we were so excited to try some dishes here! We ordered vegetarian omelet and strawberry and cream waffles! They were very delicious and filling stuff for me and my wife. Our friends ordered something else (forgot the names) but they looked also delicious! The vibe was nice and old classic Texan and enjoyed the moments with them! Servers were nice and frequently came to fill up the water and drink of our choices! Pretty cool and yummy experience! Come visit if you are around here! Cheers

This would be a 5 star review!!! but it's so hot in there that it becomes impossible to enjoy yourself. The food is amazing! The wait staff is is awesome! Very friendly, attentive, and service focused. The ambiance is fun and engaging anda total vibe. Come winter time, I bet it's perfect in here. BUT mid summer in Texas, they need a better AC unit, AND need to turn their fans from pulling air up, to pushing it down on to the sweeting customers. I don't know how it is throughout the week, but on Sunday's I recommend getting online and getting on to the wait list early. There's typically a long wait, but if you don't mind the heat, EVERYTHING else is worth the wait.

I love a good breakfast spot and this one is hard to beat. I had the Cajun Benedict that has one of their original waffles as the base with bacon eggs and a Cajun hollandaise sauce. I was taken aback when the waitress said they don't actually do poached eggs but I ordered over easy and it came out really close, perfect for the Benedict. I ordered a side of their boneless fried chicken thigh and it almost stole the show for my entire breakfast, slight Cajun spice to this chicken as well it seemed. I'll take three of those with some fries for lunch and I would be set! I usually prefer hash browns but they only have country potatoes here. Good seasoning and they were fried up crisp, so they were excellent. They have espresso available, the drip coffee is pretty strong but my wife loved it. They do bring real cream with it. They also have real butter with your toast or waffle if you ask - I'm constantly surprised how few places have real butter or cream now days. My wife was happy they offered a gluten free waffle, and gluten free toast. She said hers was crispy on the outside yet still light and fluffy on the inside- hard to do with gluten free flour. I thought my waffle was a little "cakey", but I suspect it would hold up well to all the toppings they have available. I really liked the downtown location. It's a somewhat small downtown cafe but they get the food out quickly. Service was excellent, everyone working there was paying attention to details, acknowledging people as they walked by and looking for opportunities to help. We arrived about 9am on a Saturday. We didn't have to wait but it looked as though things were picking up. Sorta expensive for breakfast but we will definitely be back because we felt it was worth it.

Let me start with the positives... The food was decent and our waiter was pleasant. Unfortunately, that's where it stops. The wait for a table was an hour. The wait to get our drinks was 30 min. The wait to order was another 15 minutes. 15 minutes after we ordered, we were informed that the wait for food would be 45 min to an hour. Due to the wait, one of our party had to leave for work and she was unable to eat with us. The rest of us ate once the food arrived, however we didn't receive one of the ordered items and my 9 yr old didn't eat because they were out of what he wanted (he is autistic and has food issues). Other things that wouldn't normally be mentioned or warrant a bad review just added to the frustration: The menu indicates fresh squeezed orange juice - it was not. The table was sticky... ok, it's a waffle place, I get it. Lastly, the air conditioner was either broken or not on at all. It was easily over 80 degrees inside and we were all sweating by the end of the 2+ hour ordeal. My wife very kindly asked our waiter if anything could be done about the bill, however when he returned, he informed us that the manager was unwilling to do anything. It was almost as if they thought they were doing us a favor by removing the item that we never got. I really wanted to enjoy this place, but my family and I don't see ourselves ever returning.

This brunch restaurant is so popular, and there is always a decent wait on weekends. The decor is fun and vibes are so lively. I had the misfortune of getting Flaming Cock all over me. My friend shook the bottle, and it squirted everywhere, including onto my white skirt. I had the waffle sandwich and chose to get scrambled eggs and sausage patties inside. The waffle was so good and sweet. I enjoyed my sandwich at first, but the flavours definitely started to taste weird later on with the mixing of the sweet and savoury, especially with the maple syrup. My friend got the BLT without bacon. She substituted cheese, and the server forgot her cheese but was apologetic and brought it quickly. He had a very nice voice. I tried a fried green tomato for the first time. I was so intrigued by it. I must say it was pretty good, but I liked the tomato part more than the fried part.

This was our third time having breakfast there. Each time we got here early and were seated right away. Today Ginger had the carnivore omelette and I had the carnivore skillet. I couldn't finish my plate. Everything was good.

Such a cute place. We were visiting family and stopped in for breakfast. Love the menu. The maple bacon biscuit appetizer was one of the most delicious bites ever. Also loved the biscuits and gravy and chicken and waffles. Highly recommend!!!

This was beyond disappointing. We got a few omelettes to go. Maybe this is a 1 egg omelette? I don't know. A handful of taters. Small portions and it wasn't even good. The coffee was good but the meal was horrible and expensive.

Came here with a group of four on a Saturday morning. We waited about 45 minutes to be seated, which was fine as that was the estimated time they gave us. The place was clearly busy, but it also seemed understaffed. Our server appeared overwhelmed from the beginning. She repeatedly explained how hectic things were, even when we had not complained or commented about the wait time, which made us feel like we were a burden just for being there. I understand she might have been trying to earn empathy, but the constant reminders made me feel uncomfortable. After placing our order, the food took about 25 minutes to arrive, and our drinks didn't come until 15 minutes after the food. That said, the food itself was fine. They had huge portions and solid flavors just as others had mentioned.

When they first opened- let me tell you, 1000000/10. I'm talking the Belgium waffles had chunks of sugar in them, bursting with flavor. The left overs tasted almost better than the actual breakfast! Now? It's ok. Nothing to write home about. VERY EXPENSIVE. For 2adults/1kid to eat including tip $90. For breakfast IMO that's a lot. Ambiance was great! Decorated for xmas. The chairs could have been a little comfier but it's nice. Service was good as well. Will be back but as a 'treat' vs. frequent customer.

Wait was about 30 min wait. The reviews prior are what they are. Once summoned, it wasn't hard to get seated. Customer service is good Only issue is the flys that was in establishment I had to switch out my sweet tea. Wait for the food was reasonable as well. Good selection of brunch food to choose from. I'd definitely go back in the future. Food was definitely on point!

Was looking for a place to eat breakfast and this establishment popped up immediately on Yelp. The restaurant location is as awesome and inside was decorated beautifully. The vibe I got was like I was back in the 70s, with all the old memorabilia on the walls. The waitress was super friendly but extremely busy. The wait was apparently 45 minutes but worth the wait. Once we ordered, our food arrived approximately 35 minutes later but the waitress did warn us. Anyways it was worth the wait the food was amazing and the portions were generous. The coffee here was amazing too. Next time going to have to try out a Bloody Mary the looked delicious. Will definitely return and try different foods!

Arriving early is a must! They open at 7am but by 9am, the place is packed. I vidited on a Sunday morning, around 9 and was barely seated. While you're able to join the waitlist online, I don't think it updates in real time. I'd checked the waitlist several times before arriving and it showed no wait time. Once we were seen by the hostess, we were told a 30-40min wait. Luckily, there were open seats at the bar so we didn't have to wait. The bar itself only seats about 5-6 people. I think they are so packed due to the cooking time. The menu itself states there will be at least a 45 minute wait after ordering food and it holds true because we waited almost an hour for our food. While waiting, the staff were very friendly and tried to keep us distracted by offering us some Bourbon Maple Biscuits. They were to die for! Three nice and warm biscuits covered in cinnamon sugar and drizzled with our house made bourbon maple syrup. My actual meal was the breakfast platter with the liege specialty waffle. The platter included Two eggs fried or scrambled, your choice of meat (two slices of bacon, one pork sausage patty or one chicken sausage patty) house potatoes or tater tots, and your choice of two slices of toast or a plain liege waffle. Had I known liege waffles were hard and cold, I would've went with toast. Unless I just received a bad one, the waffle would've been better if it were warm nonetheless, my sides were delicious. Also, on Sundays they dont serve alcohol until 10am so we waited to order a mimosa flight. The flights come in seceralare served in shot glass sized glasses, which is quite small. For the price, I expected something larger. Overall, I wouldnt mind visiting again, especially for those biscuits!

Ordered the drunken master omelette. Did not come with everything that said on the menu. Very disappointed! I did like the chorizo, jalapeno balls. Service is also slow. The waffle was good.

Delicious food and amazing service, we come every Sunday after church. They have monthly specials that they rotate and this month is a Philly Cheese Steak Waffle.... This NEEDS to be a permanent item on the menu. It's soooooo good! I would even suggest they offer it as an omelet and scramble too! Must try! If you don't get your name on the wait list early, you might have a bit of a wait - but it's well worth it!

Delicious breakfast at eclectic pop-culture decor filled Water Street Waffle Company. My husband had the breakfast platter. I had the veggie skillet (spinach, onions, mushrooms & herbs) with crispy fried green tomatoes on a pile of house potatoes. The skillet is topped with 2 over medium eggs. Also, we ordered waffle bites ...topped with hazelnut chocolate, chai glaze and cinnamon and brown sugar. These waffles hit the sweet spot and were cooked to perfection. The coffee was a robust full flavored dark roast. I drank 4 cups. :) Service was friendly and attentive. The cafe was filled with framed memorabilia from different music eras and genres 60s, 70s and 80s. The food was Epic! I Highly recommend this cafe. ***I should have taken a picture of our breakfast but I was hungry.***

The food here is always amazing! We always get one of the build your own breakfast skillets. Yummy!! We drove an hour to eat here a few weeks ago. Definitely recommend!

The food and atmosphere were great for a family brunch. I highly recommend getting out of the city and seeing the town.

Pros: The food is incredibly delicious! I completely understand why the lemon blueberry waffle is the most popular. It is exactly what you want. The blueberries are fresh and the lemon isn't too overwhelming. The bacon is smoky and the eggs were cooked perfectly. Cons: The kitchen was having issues so our wait for food was long and it came out in the wrong order. We got our waffle first, then about 5 minutes later we got the breakfast platter. Our appetizer came out last. It took awhile for our server to refill our drinks but she was very pleasant and helped with recommendations. All in all it was great and we will be back if we are in the area.

Dined on the patio on a Sunday afternoon. I recommend putting yourself on the waitlist ahead of time on the weekends. My friend and I started with an iced lavender latte and iced cappuccino and really enjoyed both. We started with Bourbon Maple Biscuits which were good and simple but I will try another appetizer next time especially since the entrees typically end up being biscuit or waffle based. Then we shared a mimosa flight with the T1000 and Little Terminators so we could try a little of everything. All of the waffles on both boards were delicious. I think our favorites were the cordon bleu and hot chicken. The chicken was fried perfectly and the waffles were just right. All of that with excellent service makes this place a definite go-to in Belton.

Great menu and food is tasty. Sunday brunch is worth the wait, but it was quite a wait to be seated and to receive our food. Dominic was perfect and food tasted great.

The wait time has improved since I last visited. I don't come often because I'm usually on limited time and the wait time tended to be on the long side. Luckily, the service and food were quick this time around. The service was friendly. The food was good. My only suggestion would be to offer some smaller plates. All the plates are large portions which are great for many, but for me it's a bit much.

One of the most unique and well respected places! The waffles to die for and the service is impeccable with a smile! A must try!

Dainty breakfast spot in downtown Killeen. Decor is nostalgic but the food, absolutely DELICIOUS!!! Everything was so very good, came out hot and seasoned very well. The Mimosa Flight was good, the regular mimosa was just that, regular, but surprisingly the Apple Cider Vinegar was my fav, tasted very apple-y if I can make that a word. The grits was done RIGHT!!! The waffle was extra light but crispy in all of the right places. No complaints and all praises around our table. There are no reservations on Sundays and we had to wait but it was shorter than what they quoted us being approximately 25 minutes.

Decided to try WSWC for brunch today. We arrived at lunchtime, so we had about a 30 min wait on the list. Perfect for doing a couple of errands while we waited. We got a text when our table was ready. Once seated, we enjoyed the lively atmosphere with music and the decor. We shared a flight of mimosas, which consisted of peach, pineapple, passion fruit, and pomegranate. I enjoyed the peach flavor the most, but they were all good. For an appetizer, we split 2 fried green tomatoes. They weren't seasoned much but weren't bad. The tomato relish on the side was awesome! For entrees, we both had omelets that we both built. As sides, we had potatoes and fruit mix. They were equally good. Service was a bit of a wait between appetizers and entrees being delivered, but it didn't really bother us as we understood how busy they were getting orders out. We left about a bite a piece on our plates as we got too full, but it was just so good. Sidenote: My brother brought me the shrimp and grits (only available on sunday) when he visited a while back, and they were awesome. Hopefully, we can get back on a Sunday at some point.

So I really struggled on whether or not to do a review just yet and I say this because I want to give them another shot. Until I do though this will be an account of my first experience on a weekend...be ready to wait literal hours before you eat. We were on the list for just over an hour, as soon as we were seated we were greeted and drink orders took place. Then a few minutes later our orders were taken. Because of the ambiance and the group of people I was with (6 of us) conversation flowed however, after a while we started to notice that it had been 45 minutes and still we hadn't had our food delivered. At this point I did ask the waitress, who informed us that they were backed up but what point we were on the grill. About another 20 minutes food came. If we had known the wait to eat would be 2hrs plus we definitely would have chosen somewhere else. Also, there's automatic gratuity for a group of 6, which I can understand its not on the server but on the kitchen, but is it worth it for just drinks. I don't think so. The place is cute, another con would have to be their restroom situation. They have one for males and one for females. In a place that seems to get busy the back up there is just uncomfortable. This will be it for now, I definitely want to try them again since I have heard good things from friends about this place but until then 2 stars.

I can't overstate how much I love good breakfast/brunch. Nor can I overstate the lack of it. But not here. Not at this absolute gem benchmarking downtown Belton. Next time you're passing through, exit and take Main to the end of the waffle-shaped rainbow. Located just across from the courthouse and around the corner from a cute area called The Gin that houses a Saturday market and some eateries on the water, this place is both vintage and funky, chic and casual. Obviously it is right there in the name: waffles. Wow. Would it be weird or glutinous to just take one of each to go? Savory and sweet offerings available. After drooling over the menu that covered all the waffle and omlet and avo toast combos available, I went with the Rue Birdie: giant chicken thigh on a waffle with bourbon syrup, two eggs and home fries. I could eat half. (I bought ice to keep the other half fresh in the cooler on the way home.) I cannot recommend it enough- the right combination of sweet, savory, spicy, crunchy, creamy, and everything in between. And the staff was all just so nice. Only drawback: styrofoam Togo containers. I'll just take my own next time. :) The unassuming bar made well-crafted coffees and what seemed to be a gorgeous array of colorful cocktails. (The Bloody had shrimp in it....) I didn't get one, but the mimosa flights really caught my eye. I did have a cold brew with honey. Delicious complement to my meal. Also if you're down for really hot, they have Flaming Cock sauce (the smell made my nose hairs curl, so I'll leave that to you). They take Apple Pay!

The Strawberries and Cream waffle was phenomenal--crisp, caramelized Liege waffle topped with fresh strawberries and creamy goodness. Paired it with an Americano coffee. Our waiter, J, was super friendly and made the experience even better. The rock & roll ambiance was intriguing.

Food is amazing and the service is great. Our waitress, Ariel, did a great job of service.

Great experience. Food and service was amazing. Can't wait to go back. Decor was fun/eclectic/music themed.
